The key point in the process of agent-based management in e-service for malware detection (according to accuracy criteria) is a decision-making process. To determine the optimal e-service for malware detection, two concepts were investigated: Fuzzy Logic (FL) and Probabilistic Neural Networks (PNN). In this study, three evolutionary variants of fuzzy partitioning, including regular, hierarchical fuzzy partitioning, and k-means, were used to automatically process the design of the fuzzy partition. Also, this study demonstrates the application of a feature selection method to reduce the dimensionality of the data by removing irrelevant features to create fuzzy logic in a dataset. The behaviors of malware are analyzed by fuzzifying relevant features for pattern recognition. The Apriori algorithm was applied to the fuzzified features to find the fuzzy-based rules, and these rules were used for predicting the output of malware detection e-services. Probabilistic neural networks were also used to find the ideal agent-based model for numerous classification problems. The numerical results show that the agent-based management performances trained with the clustering method achieve an accuracy of 100% with the PNN-MCD model. Introduction. Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) with concomitant esophageal atresia (EA) and tracheo-esophageal fistula (TEF) is a very rare condition, with a high mortality rate. Prematurity and congenital heart anomalies additionally increase the mortality rate. This situation is a great challenge for clinicians, requiring multidisciplinary work and adequate treatment strategy. Case report. We presented a premature twin newborn at the gestational age of 33/34 weeks with body mass of 1690 g. The existence of the left CDH was established on prenatal ultrasound exam in the 24th gestational week, and the diagnosis of EA with TEF was made on admittance to our hospital. The cardiac ultrasound exam revealed the total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC). The first operation was performed on the day of admittance and consisted of left subcostal laparotomy, diaphragmatic repair, elastic occlusion of the gastroesophageal junction and gastrostomy. The ligation of TEF and esophagoplasty were done 13 days later in the second operation. The lethal outcome during the esophagoplasty was caused by the crisis of pulmonary hypertension and associated congenital heart anomaly (TAPVC). The presence of CDH and EA/TEF in association with TAPVC in a twin newborn has not been reported before in the literature. Conclusion. The treatment of newborns with CDH and EA/TEF requires multidisciplinary well-coordinated team work of pediatric surgeons, anaesthesiologists, neonatologists and pulmologists. The standard protocol for the management does not exist, but well-planned staged operations could enable greater survival rate.

Artificial neural networks‐based module for fast direction‐of‐arrival (DoA) estimation of the signal received by multi‐element textile wearable antenna array (TWAA) is proposed in this paper. The developed multilayer perceptron (MLP) DoA module considers the effects of changing the gain of the antenna elements, the distance between the antenna elements and their resonant frequencies during the movement of the TWAA wearer and the crumpling of the textile. The inputs of the MLP DoA module are the elements of the spatial correlation matrix of the signal sampled by the TWAA and the output is the angular position of the signal source in the azimuthal plane. The influence of the number of TWAA elements on the accuracy of the MLP DoA module in DoA estimation under textile crumple conditions is investigated. The performances of the MLP DoA module under increased noise conditions are investigated, as well as its behavior under different degrees of textile crumpling. A comparison was made between the proposed module and the corresponding root MUSIC DoA module in terms of accuracy and speed of DoA estimation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction. The populations show differences in relation to the various details of facial morphology. These differences are easily noticeable when comparing individuals with different ethnic background. Aim. To establish specific cephalometric standards between the sexes for the nine-year-old Serbian children. Methods. 36 boys and 42 girls (mean age 9±0.35) of Serbian nationality were selected based on the following criteria: Class I molar relationship, positive overbite and overjet less than 4mm, lack of crossbite, lack of oral and bucal failure, no previous orthodontic treatment, adequate amount of space in both dental arches, no visible asymmetry. Lateral cephalograms of each patient were analyzed twice. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum) were calculated for all measured parameters. The results were compared to the published norms of the other Caucasian populations. Normative data were presented in the tables. Results. Intergender differences included anterior cranial base length (Sella-Nasion), anterior facial height (nasion-menton), corpus maxilla length, SNA angle, SNB angle, angle SN/MP. Conclusion. Nine-year-old Serbian boys have a larger anterior cranial base, larger corpus maxilla, and larger anterior facial height, while the maxilla and mandible protrusion are more pronounced in girls.

Introduction. Precocious puberty in girls is generally defined as appearance of secondary sexual characteristics before eight years of age. Menarche before the ninth birthday may serve as an additional criterion. Precocious puberty is divided in central precocious puberty and pseudoprecocious puberty. Central precocious puberty (GnRH dependent) occurs because of premature activation of hypothalamic-pituitarygonadal axis and activity of gonadotrophins. Pseudoprecocious puberty (GnRH independent) is caused by activity of sexual steroids that are not the result of gonadotrophin activity. Objective. Objective of our study was to examine the etiology, clinical and laboratory manifestations of isosexual pseudoprecocious puberty in girls. Method. In the period between 1995 and 2004, clinical and laboratory sings of 34 girls with precocious puberty were studied at the Endocrine Department of the Institute of Mother and Child Health Care of Serbia. Initial evaluations included height measurement, staging of puberty, bone age assessment and pelvic ultrasound. Important diagnostic sonographic parameters of precocious puberty were the volumes of ovaries and uterus as well as ovarian structure. The initial hormonal evaluation included measuring of plasma oestradiol, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). The luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (LHRH) stimulation test was used to evaluate LH and FSH responsiveness (60 μg/m2 LHRH- Relefact LHRH®, Ferring). Blood samples were collected at 0, 20 and 60 minutes. Basal and GnRH stimulated LH and FSH were determined by immunoradiometric assay. Estradiol concentration was measured using the fluoroimmunometric assay. Results. Thirty-four girls aged 6 months to 9 years (mean age 4.5 years) with precocious puberty were studied during the period of 9 years. Eleven girls presented with breast development, six with vaginal bleeding and seventeen with signs of puberty. On the basis of clinical signs, bone age, estradiol levels and LHRH test, premature the larche was diagnosed in eleven patients (32.4%), premature menarche in six (17.6%) and central precocious puberty in ten girls (29.4%). Seven girls (20.6%) presented with pseudoprecocious puberty. Pelvic ultrasound examination revealed unilateral ovarian cysts in six patients and granulosa cell tumor in one. Elevated estrogen serum levels and failure of gonadotropin responses after gonadotropin releasing hormone were the classical findings in patients with isosexual pseudoprecocious puberty during the acute period of disease. In four patients, the cyst decreased spontaneously after several months, while in two patients, the cyst was removed by laparotomy. Surgical treatment was performed in a patient with granulosa cell tumor. Conclusion. Our work demonstrates that autonomous functional ovarian follicle cyst is the most often cause of isosexual pseudoprecocious puberty. Short period of observation is suggested because the cyst can resolve spontaneously. On the other hand, juvenile granulosa cell tumor, as highly malignant tumor, should be removed as soon as diagnosis is established.

Compact modeling approach of anisotropic media by using the Z-TLM method is proposed. Thin anisotropic multilayer material is efficiently described through connection procedure between two Z-TLM mesh cells, by using the scattering parameters to create a digital filter-based compact model. Model is incorporated into non-uniform TLM grid given here in a form fully complying with the originally proposed Z-TLM method algorithm. IntroductionPreventing repeated unplanned pregnancy among adolescents is still a challenge because many of them fail to use effective contraception after abortion. ObjectiveTo review currently recommended options of methods and counselling for effective prevention of repeat pregnancies in adolescents. MethodsReview of the literature that was identified through the Medline, ScienceDirect, Google and Popline databases and relevant expert opinions. ResultsCounselling needs to be adapted to the needs, values and lifestyle of adolescents. The best results are achieved with nondirective or active contraceptive counselling, followed by regular check-ups and cautious and attentive approach in the management of doubts, prejudices and side effects related to the contraceptive chosen. Adolescents should initiate contraception immediately after abortion: the motivation for choosing an efficacious method is highest at that time; resumption of ovulation following induced abortion occurs on average after three weeks; more than half of these girls will resume sexual activity within two weeks after pregnancy termination. Long-acting reversible contraception use during adolescence is safe and most effective. However, achieving a high long-term continuation rate is especially challenging in adolescents; this is due to developmental and environmental characteristics that influence their contraceptive behaviour. ConclusionAdolescents should immediately after abortion initiate a reliable contraceptive method, preferably one whose efficacy is not user-dependent. The social efforts during the last few decades to make thorough the changes within instructional processes (internal, pedagogical, that is methodical reforms), have resulted, indeed, in substantial positive progresses, but not to the extent previously expected and desired. While the science of didactic teaching should be complimented on its continuous work and theoretical contribution, it is generally felt that methodology has not applied these findings quite sufficiently. This is precisely the reason why the affirmation of methodology and methodological training of teachers is nowadays seen as a major step forward in reformation of upbringing and educating future generations. The main goal of this paper is to make a wider professional and scientific community aware of the latest findings and achievements of a relatively young scientific study (didactic approach to multimedia) and to point out, through good examples from everyday life, a growing trend of abandoning single methodic approaches and to show the need for adopting new teaching strategies, as a necessary precondition for 'awakening' our education process. The basic feature of any transition, even those found in education, includes substantial and fundamental changes with the aim of modernizing and improving the complete education process.
