Sustainability is an element that is increasingly considered within the organisation. Therefore, the aim of this scientific article is to explore the contributions of supply chain management (SCM) to organisational sustainability. The study was based on a closed-ended question distributed to strategic managers from eleven business sectors, and the answers to this question were selected according to our objectives and grouped to generate six questions that were applied through a questionnaire to a total of 220 companies from the three economic sectors, companies that have implemented sustainable SCM practices. The main findings from the descriptive analysis used for the data show that sustainability practices integrated into SCM, such as sustainable sourcing, green design, and supply chain loop. Improving relationships with suppliers and customers by promoting closed-loop corporate social responsibility (CSR) values has a positive impact on organisational sustainability. These practices reduce environmental impact, improve financial performance, enhance reputation, and increase stakeholder satisfaction. The main conclusion of this study is that the adoption of sustainable SCM practices is critical to organisational sustainability. Organisations must prioritise sustainability in their SCM decisions to ensure their long-term success.

The scientific paper presents a practical research carried out by the authors in order to implement certain concepts of technical nature, so that those interested in this field can become aware of a certain way of exposing the problems regarding the role of technology and autonomous vehicles in the sustainable development of car transportation. According to previous research, it has been found that human error has a share of about 95% in the occurrence of road accidents in Europe, causing thousands of human lives to be taken away annually. Experts in the field say that autonomous vehicles can significantly reduce this percentage and at the same time contribute to increasing road safety. Digital technology also has its advantages and disadvantages. It helps reduce congestion and pollution in road traffic, increases access to mobility for people with disabilities, creates new jobs, brings economic growth, increases safety in road traffic but can also become dangerous when disturbances and malfunctions make their mark on artificial intelligence. We present further a technical and managerial study with engineering nuances, through which readers can look at and understand the concept of sustainable development in a global context, presenting the place, role and current stage of development of the autonomous vehicle in the road transport system. At the end, some conclusions and further research directions in the approached field are presented.

This research investigates the role of intangible resources in fostering and sustaining competitive advantages within firms. The study surveyed 284 managers and CEOs from a diverse array of companies, collecting data via a structured questionnaire. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques implemented through SPSS software. The findings underscore the pivotal role of intangible resources in creating and maintaining a competitive edge. These resources were found to be critical in value creation processes that drive long-term strategic advantages. The study's conclusions emphasize that firms focusing on the development and strategic management of intangible assets can achieve and sustain superior performance in their respective markets. This research adds to the growing body of literature by empirically validating the significance of intangible resources in competitive strategy and offers practical implications for managers aiming to leverage these assets for sustained competitive success. This paper addresses the issue of intellectual property management in the knowledge-based economy. The starting point in carrying out the study is the presentation of some concepts regarding in the first phase, the intellectual capital. Arguments are made that the knowledge-based economy is a challenge for the current century. The subject of intellectual property is approached through the prism of a topical concept operationalized in the current global economic context. The main institutions that are directly related to this concept are mentioned. The topic of patents related to WOS indexed scientific papers is also debated, along with a series of statistics and studies on the state of patent protection worldwide in the top fields. Sustainability and digitalization both require major transitions in our world and the way we imagine them. Digitalization is considered to be the engine that alters sustainability. However, it is not yet known whether and to what extent this digital transformation facilitates or hinders the development of a more sustainable world. The aim of this paper is to shed light on the implications of digitalization for sustainable development in Romania and to provide answers to the following questions: how does digitalization affect the most important pillars of sustainability? How can digital technology help to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in the next period? These key issues are of immediate practical relevance and therefore need to be addressed by researchers and decision-makers alike. In order to achieve this objective, this research examines the relationship between digitalization and sustainable development, in the specific case of Romania, and examines how digital performance affects the main components of sustainable development, pursued on the basis of the following sustainable development objectives: non-poverty, good health and well-being, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, At the same time, it examines the most important measures for evaluating the level of digitalization of countries (more specifically, the Digital Economy and Society Index DESI methodology) and sustainable development at the macro-economic level (through the Sustainable Development Goals Index SDGI components).
