Abstract

In this paper, we offer a new modelling approach for hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection models with cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) immune responses. The standard neural network models with reaction-diffusion terms are generalized to the discontinuous case considering impulsive controllers. Also, the conformable approach is proposed as a more adjustable modelling apparatus which overcomes existing difficulties in the application of the fractional-order modelling technique. In addition, the existence of integral manifolds for the proposed model is investigated and efficient criteria are established. Since stability and control of a neural network model are essential for its proper application, stability results for the constructed integral manifold are presented. These results extend and generalize the stability results for steady states of proposed HCV models with CTL immune responses and contribute to the development of new innovative modelling approaches in biology. The qualitative analysis is performed via the conformable Lyapunov function method. The established results are demonstrated through an example. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

This paper studies gene regulatory networks (GRNs) with distributed delays. The essential concept of practical stability of the genes is introduced. We investigate the problems of practical stability and global practical exponential stability of the GRN model under an impulsive control. New practical stability criteria are proposed by designing appropriate impulsive controllers via the Lyapunov functions approach. In the design of the impulsive controller, we consider the effect of impulsive perturbations at fixed times and distributed delays on the stability of the considered GRNs. Abstract

In this paper, for a regularized fuzzy system, a generalization of the direct Lyapunov method is adapted on the base of matrix-valued Lyapunov-like functions. First, the new concept of a regularization scheme for fuzzy systems is discussed and the matrix-valued Lyapunov function technique is introduced. Then, sufficient conditions are established for the boundedness and stability of the equilibrium set of solutions of the regularized fuzzy system of differential equations. Scalar and vector Lyapunov-type functions are used based on an auxiliary matrix-valued function. Finally, a discussion is offered for the future directions of the proposed approach. Since the strategies for the analysis of the stability of fuzzy models are very important in numerous aspects, we expect that our results will inspire researchers to develop the introduced concept. Abstract

This paper proposes new existence and uniqueness results for an initial value problem (IVP) of fractional differential equations of nonlinear variable order. Riemann–Liouville-type fractional derivatives are considered in the problem. The new fundamental results achieved in this work are obtained by using the inequalities technique and the fixed point theory. In addition, uniform stability criteria for the solutions are derived. The accomplished results are new and complement the scientific research in the field. A numerical example is composed to show the efficacy and potency of the proposed criteria.
