Abstract

A large number of image forensics methods are available which are capable of identifying image tampering. But these techniques are not capable of addressing the anti-forensics method which is able to hide the trace of image tampering. In this paper anti-forensics method for digital image compression has been proposed. This anti-forensics method is capable of removing the traces of image compression. Additionally, technique is also able to remove the traces of blocking artifact that are left by image compression algorithms that divide an image into segments during compression process. Abstract

Tunnel Field Effect Transistor can be introduced as an emerging alternate to MOSFET which is energy efficient and can be used in low power applications. Due to the challenge involved in integration of band to band tunneling generation rate, the existing drain current models are inaccurate. A compact analytical model for simple tunnel FET and pnpn tunnel FET is proposed which is highly accurate. The numerical integration of tunneling generation rate in the tunneling region is performed using Simpson’s rule. Integration is done using both Simpson’s 1/3 rule and 3/8 rule and the models are validated against numerical device simulations. The models are compared with existing models and it is observed that the proposed models show excellent agreement with device simulations in the entire region of operation with Simpson’s 3/8 rule exhibiting the maximum accuracy.

Abstract

A study was undertaken to evaluate the effects of salt and lime treated J.curcas deoiled seed cake (JSC) on growth and haematological parameters of broiler chicken. A significant reduction in body weight, haemoglobin (Hb), packed cell volume (PCV), total leucocyte count (TLC) and total erythrocyte count (TEC) were observed in raw JSC fed birds while the salt and lime treated JSC fed group of birds showed an improvement in growth and haematological parameters with respect to toxin fed group. Abstract

A study was undertaken to evaluate the biochemical and liver antioxidant effects of salt and lime treated Jatropha curcas deoiled seed cake (JSC) in broiler chicken. A significant (P<0.05) reduction in mean serum total protein, albumin, globulin and superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels and a significant increase in aspartate aminotransferase (AST), creatinine and tissue lipid peroxidation (LPO) levels were observed in raw JSC fed group in comparison to control birds. Significant improvement in above parameters was noted in salt and lime treated jatropha given groups when compared with raw JSC fed group. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Introduction: Vertical root fracture is one of the conditions prevalent in endodontically treated teeth. The treatment options include extraction of the fracture fragment or the affected tooth as a whole. This case report highlights the successful management of vertical root fracture in an endodontically treated mandibular first premolar., Method: Surgical intervention was initiated, and a full-thickness flap was elevated. The separated fracture segment was safely retrieved, and the existing caries were removed and then reattached to the main fragment with the help of a titanium screw. The tooth was rehabilitated with a composite resin core followed by a porcelain-fused metal crown and the patient was followed up for 7 years., Result: The tooth was functional with evidence of new bone formation., Conclusion: Reattachment of the fracture fragments with a titanium screw might be considered as an option for managing vertical root fracture cases with poor prognosis., Competing Interests: None
