Es wurden erstmals die Größenverteilungen von Bioaerosolen, sowie deren tageszeitlicher Konzentrationsverlauf in der Emission von Anlagen zur Geflügelhaltung mittels standardisierter Verfahren bestimmt. Die Ergebnisse richten sich im Rahmen von Genehmigungsverfahren an Anlagenbetreiber, Gutachter und Behörden. Sie legen nahe, dass zukünftig sowohl die Partikelgrößenverteilung, als auch die tageszeitlichen Emissionsschwankungen bei der Ausbreitungsrechnung von Bioaerosolen berücksichtigt werden sollten. Bezüglich der verwendeten Emissionsfaktoren wird eine Halbierung des Konventionswertes für Legehennen und Putenmast aufgezeigt, bezüglich des Größenklassenspektrums für Anlagen der Geflügelhaltung eine Aufteilung von 15 % PM 2,5; 25 % PM 10; und 60 % TSP. Noice may be a potential stressor in intensive animal rearing because of high number of noice-producing animals, needs for more intensive ventilation system and feeding and excrement removal lines. All this may result in relatively high level of noice that affects not only animals but also the tending personnel. High sensitivity to noise levels have been observed in pigs with some potential impact on their behaviour. In our study we measured exposure of pigs to noise in 3 houses for three categories of pigs, farrowing house, house for weanlings and house for sows before mating and after confirmation of gravidity. Although our measurements failed to identify high exposure of pigs to noise, this issue should be monitored further to avoid unnecessary stress in this very sensitive species of animals.

Research was conducted in order to determine efficiency of sows’ udder sanitation concerning reduction of bacteria, which enter through contaminated teats in piglets’ organism. The research was carried out in farrowing pen with 90 sows, which were separated into three equal groups. The first group, control, was not treated. In the second group sows’ udders were treated with water and in the third group with healthy and ecologically acceptable commercial antiseptic Oxyl® ; with powerful oxidising bactericidal activity. During the period of 24 days microbiologic purity of the teats was determined by the method of swab before and after teat treatment, and cultivation on nutrient media. Samples were analysed for presence of mesophilic aerobic bacteria which were expressed as their total number per cm 2 (CFU/cm2) of teat. Study results showed in both treated groups, compared to the control, significantly reduced number of bacteria. Besides, significantly lower bacteria number was determined in the third group treated with antiseptic, compared to the second group, treated only with water. Accordingly, everyday use of udder sanitation, which is commonly component of ruminants’ milking hygiene, could also significantly reduce sows’ teat bacterial contamination and consequently entering excessive bacteria in the piglets’ alimentary system. The following researches should provide the evidence if there exists connection between udder sanitation, reduced number of bacteria as potential causes of piglets’ alimentary diseases, and diseases’ appearance.

The bioaerosol concentration and main microclimate parameters, were analyzed in laying hens dwelling. Pollutants present in the air of animal dwellings, could influence on animal and human health. Received results about concentrations of bioaerosols indicate the need for making standards on air quality in the animals dwellings and the development of reliable systems for monitoring the above factors.
