Background: A survey of medical physics residency program directors was conducted in Spring 2021 to examine the current state of brachytherapy (BT) training during residency. In this related work, a subsequent survey of therapeutic medical physics residents in 2022 was conducted to assess the confidence and experience of the trainees. Concerns for access to high‐quality and diverse training in BT have escalated in importance due to recent declines in BT utilization. Methods: A survey consisting of 26 questions was designed by a working unit of the Brachytherapy Subcommittee of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and approved for distribution by the Executive Committee of the AAPM. The survey was distributed to current trainees and recent graduates of the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs accredited therapeutic medical physics residency programs by the AAPM. The participant response was anonymously recorded in an online platform and subsequently analyzed using spreadsheet software. Results: The survey was distributed to 796 current medical physics residents or recent graduates over the course of 6 weeks in February and March of 2022. The survey received 736 views and a total of 182 responses were collected, with 165 respondents completing the survey in full. Among those responses, 110 had completed their residency training, with program start dates ranging from calendar years 2015 to 2021. Individual responses from the survey takers (including partial survey submissions) were evaluated and analyzed to compile results. Conclusions: Medical physics residents reported the highest levels of confidence and caseload for gynecological BT procedures when compared with other surveyed treatment techniques. This indicates opportunities to improve training and increase access to clinical caseload are needed in order to improve competency and confidence. Time constraints (clinical and rotation‐based) were indicated as impediments to BT proficiency. Medical physics residents reported enthusiasm for additional training opportunities in BT, and it is evident that additional structure and programs are required to ensure adequate access to BT training during residency. Phospholamban (PLN) is a sarco-endoplasmic reticulum (SER) membrane protein that regulates cardiac contraction/relaxation by reversibly inhibiting the SERCA2a Ca2+-reuptake pump. The R14Δ-PLN mutation causes severe cardiomyopathy that is resistant to conventional treatment. Protein complexes and higher-order supercomplexes such as intercalated disk components and Ca+2-cycling domains underlie many critical cardiac functions, a subset of which may be disrupted by R14Δ-PLN. Complexome profiling (CP) is a proteomics workflow for systematic analysis of high molecular weight (MW) protein complexes and supercomplexes. We hypothesize that R14Δ-PLN may alter a subset of these assemblies, and apply CP workflows to explore these changes in presymptomatic R14Δ/+ mice hearts. Ventricular tissues from presymptomatic 28wk-old WT and R14Δ/+ mice were homogenized under non-denaturing conditions, fractionated by size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) with a linear MW-range exceeding 5 MDa, and subjected to quantitative data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry (DIA-MS) analysis. Unfortunately, current workflows for the systematic analysis of CP data proved ill-suited for use in cardiac samples. Most rely upon curated protein complex databases to provide ground-truth for analysis; however, these are derived primarily from cancerous or immortalized cell lines and, consequently, cell-type specific complexes (including cardiac-specific machinery potentially affected in R14Δ-PLN hearts) are poorly covered. We thus developed PERCOM: a novel CP data-analysis strategy that does not rely upon these databases and can, furthermore, be implemented on widely available spreadsheet software. Applying PERCOM to our CP dataset resulted in the identification of 296 proteins with disrupted elution profiles. Hits were significantly enriched for mitochondrial and intercalated disk (ICD) supercomplex components. Changes to mitochondrial supercomplexes were associated with reduced expression of mitochondrial proteins and maximal oxygen consumption rate. The observed alterations to mitochondrial and ICD supercomplexes were replicated in a second cohort of "juvenile" 9wk-old mice. In vocational education and training of computer literacy as part of vocational rehabilitation, learners often work on problem-solving exercises as self-study assignments, and check if their answers are correct. Sighted learners can get information on their incorrect answers by comparing their answers with the correct answers. However, learners with visual impairments largely depend on their teachers for getting this feedback. To remove this dependence, we designed a self-checking system for learners with visual impairments to verify the correctness of their answers. In this paper, we report the results of a usability study to evaluate whether learners with visual impairments can self-check spreadsheet problem-solving exercises using our system in a teacherless environment. Usability evaluation experiment was conducted using 2 × 2 crossover design with people with visual impairments (n = 11). The participants checked their answers (detected and corrected errors) after working on problem-solving exercises in two ways: (i) manually; and (ii) using our system. The system usability was evaluated by measuring Detection-And-Correction (DAC) ratio as effectiveness, time taken and the number of steps required for DAC as efficiency, and System Usability Scale score as satisfaction. The results show that all the participants could complete the DAC task by using our system, and the time required for DAC task was significantly reduced by using our system as compared to by checking manually. Our system enables learners with visual impairments to self-check problem-solving exercises answers. However, to increase the user satisfaction, the number of required keystrokes needs to be decreased. Vocational rehabilitation for learners with visual impairments to improve their computer literacy is becoming increasingly important. Learners with visual impairments have the potential to acquire computer literacy in a teacherless environment by using simple assistive software like our self-checking system. Simple assistive software for learners with visual impairments like our self-checking system may have a positive effect not only on learners with visual impairments but also on sighted people. The rapid evolvement and higher stability of Islamic banking institutions across the global Muslim world as compared to their conventional banking industry has attracted more researchers to explore Islamic banks as one of the viable financial institutions to the existing unstable global financial system. This study intends to analyze descriptively the trends of research on the theme of Islamic banking stability. This study using bibliometrics analysis collected from published articles in international reputable journals indexed in the Scopus database over the period from 2010 to 2020. To analyze the selected articles used VOSviewer software and microsoft excel spreadsheet from publish and perish database using the keywords of Islamic bank, bank stability, and Islamic banking stability. The result found that there were an increasing number of articles published on the topic. This study recorded 175 articles on the topic, authorized by 149 authors from different countries, and published in 103 international reputable journals. These findings showed that the topic of Islamic banking stability has become one of the important issues of global financial stability. This study contributes to the field of Islamic finance by mapping the existing studies on the Islamic banking stability and enrich the literature in the discourse of Islamic banking stability. Introduction: Plants have formed the basis of traditional medicine (TM) systems, which have been used for thousands of years. According to reports, one-quarter of the commonly used medicines contain compounds isolated from plants. This study aims to identify and document the plants for ethno-pharmacological use by the indigenous communities of West Shoa Zone, Oromia region, Ethiopia. Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted from November 2020 to November 2021 in West Shewa Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia. The ethnobotanical data was collected from Ejere District, Ada Berga District, Dandi District, Ambo District, Ambo Town, Toke Kutaye District, and Bako Tibe District. A descriptive statistical method (percentage and/or frequency) was employed to summarize ethnobotanical data. Moreover, the informant consensus factor was computed. Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software (Microsoft Corporation, 2016) and SPSS (version 25) were used to organize and analyze the data. Result: In the study area, a total of 51 families of medicinal plants with 108 Species were identified. Fabaceae 8 species, Asteraceae, Solanaceae and Lamiaceae each with 6 species and Cucurubitacieae 5 species were the frequently reported medicinal plants. The leaf (57.2%) was the most widely used medicinal plant parts, and oral administration (56.5%) was the most cited route of administration. In the present study, most of the medicinal plants were used fresh, which was (75%) and the most common disease the healers treated was gastrointestinal disease, followed by skin disease and febrile illness. The major threat tomedicinal plants in the study area was agricultural expansion, which was reported by 30.6% of the respondents. The study area was rich in medicinal plants, Fabaceae which commonly used family. Conclusion: Most of the medication prepared by the traditional healers was taken orally and derived from the leaf part of the medicinal plant. Since this research is a preliminary study which will be used as a base for further study. The efficacy and safety of the medicinal plant claim should be studied in the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
