Abstract This research is intended to learning patterns of deaf students in Islamic Religious Studies (IRS) class at the elementary school level, determine the preparation of students, and identify the factors that support and hinder the learning process. The methods used in this research is qualitative, with a case study approach. Data was collected using the interview and documentation approaches. Data analysis involved content analysis. The study finds that deaf students follow traditional learning patterns, in which teachers are equipped with materials, tools, and media that can be used to convey abstract ideas. In such a learning pattern, teachers play the most important role in determining content and methods to enable students to follow the lessons. Factors supporting the learning process include parent concern and teacher cooperation. A major factor hindering the learning process, meanwhile, is students' limited linguistic abilities, as a result of which they have difficulty understanding the lessons. Abstrak Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menguraikan pola pembelajaran siswa tunarungu di kelas Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pada tingkat sekolah dasar, memahami persiapan siswa, dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa siswa tunarungu masih mengikuti pola pembelajaran tradisional, di mana guru dengan menggunakan bahan, alat, dan media menyampaikan ide-ide abstrak. Dalam pola pembelajaran tersebut guru memainkan peran paling penting dalam menentukan konten dan metode yang memungkinkan siswa untuk mengikuti pelajaran. Faktor pendukung proses pembelajaran meliputi perhatian orang tua dan kerjasama guru. Faktor utama yang menghambat proses belajar adalah kemampuan linguistik siswa yang terbatas, sehingga mereka mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami pelajaran.

The use of iPads and apps has become common in K-12 inclusive classrooms. Special educationteachers frequently use this tool to support instruction. Data from electronic surveys were used to determine criteria that teachers identified as important for choosingapps for classroom use. Using this information, the authors developed an App Checklist for Evaluators (ACE) to assist teachers in reviewing apps. Areas included on the ACE are: Student Interest, Design Features, Connection to the Curriculum, and Instructional Features. Suggestions for choosing an effective app include determining user needs, assessing student interest, evaluating design features of the app, documenting the connection to the curriculum, and identifying instructional features.

To present the methodological procedures used to define categories of studies in the area of interface between prematurity and Special Education, supported by the methodology of Bardin’s content analysis. The analysis’ corpus were summaries of thesis and dissertations available in Thesis Database of Capes, involving the issue of prematurity in the period from 1987 to 2009. The sample included 1173 records, in which it is possible to distinguish two categories of targets: Main Theme (TP), studies whose subjects are connected directly to individuals premature; Thematic Secondary (TS): studies on the theme of prematurity appears as fruit or result of research conducted. A content analysis helped to identify the most studied aspects in the area of prematurity in Brazil, from the Capes Thesis Database, allowing to realize that this theme has been crafted in different areas of knowledge and multidisciplinary teams in an attempt to prevent or minimize disabling sequelae through stimulation and early intervention, since preterm birth can be considered a public health problem due to their high occurrence in the world.

With the prospect that the processes of formation of teachers are social and historical constitutions, whose theme is current research focus effect in recent decades, this article seeks to identify and discuss the profile of teachers working in early childhood education in classes of children with or without disabilities. Participated in this study twenty-six teachers (specialists and regents) operating in a city in the State of São Paulo. For the production of data, participants responded to an interview, the results obtained show signs to ponder on the initial training and continuing teachers, the experience of the professionals interviewed and the impact of these factors on the process of teacher training for and on educational practice in groups of small children. The data demonstrated that the professionals interviewed have a background in education, and most teachers have graduate degrees, experts in special education, generalist form and/or by area of disability/disorder, teachers have training that is primarily focused on Regents pedagogy. In addition, respondents revealed that the work impossible hours continuing training; Another point to be highlighted was that teachers Regents reported difficulty in teaching children with disabilities, for not having proper training. Several factors can compromise growth and development of individuals, among them are prematurity and low birth weight. Therefore, this article aims to describe the evolution of concepts related to prematurity and risk factors that lead to its occurrence. In this context, are also emphasized, measures of prevention and early intervention in the areas of Education, Special Education and Health can contribute greatly to the full development of individuals born prematurely.

The collaborative consulting system is a work possibility to collaborate and cooperate with the various protagonists in the educational system: school, teachers, family and the specialist consultant, who intends to meet the new demand of the inclusive process of the 21th century. The collaborative consulting is a proposal in which the professionals that are involved reflect together to solve the problems of the classroom. By considering that the speech therapist is intrinsically involved with the educational context and works with children with difficulties in oral communication, writing, voice and hearing, this study aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of phonoaudiologic cooperation with a collaborative perspective in school context. This is a questionnaire-intervention-questionnaire research for teachers before and after intervention. The proposal of Collaborative Consulting in educational context improved the collaborative process and became constructive with the various educational demands and gave the teacher safety and support in the continuous practice of the classroom, offering reflections which maximize the potential of each child and meet their diversity.

The Brazilian educational policy of inclusion can still be considered recent. The educational agents acting, that can accomplishthis inclusive proposal of students with special needs, can be seen in this process, from the current legislation. The objective of this focal bibliographical study is to describe the socio-cultural and educational changes considering science advances looking for an interpretation for transformations and the changing need in the teacher’s formation emphasizing the development of actions in the perspective of inclusive education. It was found that four factors, related to the teacher’s formation and acting, are crucial to an analysis that allows the performance of the teacher in view of effective inclusion. They are: socio-cultural and educational transformations, curriculum,subjective aspects of the individual teacher and the teaching process. It is concluded that the performance of the teacher in contemporary, beyond their initial training requires understanding, for an innovative performance that reaches the goals of inclusive education.

This study aims to discuss whether you need training in Special Education, as reported in the legislation for the work of teachers in Class Hospital.To this end, we performed a qualitative study of a phenomenological framework which sought, through interviews with two teachers who work in Hospital class, analyze and discuss the relevance of such training in Special Education in the professional role of educator in the hospital. Graduate teacher Class Hospital seems to be a learning experience that goes far beyond the lessons learned in graduate degrees in education and in the old qualifications in Special Education, now extinct, and continued education must is to present and acting professor of Hospital class. The study showed that there is a need for more research regarding teacher training for operations in Class Hospital.

Pesquisa finalizada recentemente, inscrita no campo da história do currículo e das culturas escolares, teve como foco de interesse a escolarização dos deficientes no Brasil. Essa escolarização foi analisada a partir do estudo comparado de dois documentos curriculares produzidos pelo Ministério da Educação nos anos de 1979 e 1999. Para tanto, colocamos em tela os estudos produzidos para/no/pelo uso de procedimentos do estudo comparado, a fim de desvelar suas contribuições teórico-metodológicas para a investigação de uma história curricular, particular e, de traduções de cultura escolar, determinadas pela especificidade - a deficiência. Para essa comparação foram eleitas duas categorias de análise, a saber: tempo e espaços escolares. Questionamos o tempo e o espaço, nos limites deste texto, como portadores de uma lógica própria, uma lógica social que os transforma em um lugar onde se manifestam as intenções humanas. Desse desenho metodológico depreendemos a impossibilidade de analisarmos isoladamente esses documentos, assumindo que neles teriam lugar traduções de uma escolarização, que tem sido produtora e produto de uma história curricular centrada nas demandas/peculiaridades das deficiências, restringindo-se à adaptação de procedimentos pedagógicos, como se somente o saber especializado pudesse dar conta da escolarização desses sujeitos que possuem características diferentes dos "normais".The study, which was recently completed, was conducted in the field of curricular history and school culture. The focus was the schooling of disabled people in Brazil. The analysis was based on the comparative study of two curricular documents produced by the Ministry of Education in 1979 and 1999. Studies for/in/with the use of comparative study procedures were analyzed, aiming to detect their theoretical-methodological contributions for the investigation of a curricular, specific, history, as well as the translations of school culture, determined by a specificity - disability. Two analytical categories were selected for the comparison: school time and space. We considered time and space, within the limits of this paper, as the bearers of a logic of their own, a social logic that changes them into a place where human intentions are manifested. From this methodological profile, we inhered that it was impossible to analyze the documents in isolation, by assuming that they would contain translations of a schooling that has produced and has been a product of a curricular history centered on the demands/peculiarities of disabilities, being restricted to the adaptation of pedagogical procedures, as if only specialized knowledge would be able to account for the schooling of those individuals who have different characteristics from "normal" people

The paper focuses on the analysis of Jean Itard's writings documenting the program of linguistic re-education of Victor de l'Aveyron, a wild child found in France at the end of the eighteenth century. When discovered, the boy was seemingly twelve or thirteen years old and suffered from a severe form of deficiency in his intellectual and linguistic development, which made him utterly unable to speak and communicate with others. Itard's original method of re-education is examined here in relation to both the positive results he achieved from a cognitive point of view (but also the negative ones from the point of view of the ontogenetic birth of language) and the most significant outcomes reached by the eighteenth century philosophy of language through Locke's and Condillac's semiotic theories.
