The article describes the methodology of archaeological research on the hill of Chotyniec in southeastern Poland. An important part of the research project was the discovery and investigation of an object called Zolnik, which served as a cult site and hosted ritual community festivals. The research methodology presented in the article deviates significantly from previous methods and places particular emphasis on accurate documentation of findings using geoinformation systems. The goal is to enable more comprehensive interpretations of the Zolnik objects and thus contribute to a better understanding and more comprehensive reconstruction of this type of object.
