Abstract Introduction Despite an improved understanding of its pathogenesis, dry eye disease (DED) remains relatively underestimated and its treatment challenging. A better alignment between the clinical evaluation and the patient self-assessment also requires capturing the whole patient experience of DED. This project aimed to unveil this experience through narrative medicine (NM). Methods The project involved 38 expert centres in Italy and one in San Marino, targeting adult patients with DED, their informal caregivers and their treating ophthalmologists. Written narratives and sociodemographic and quality of life (QoL)-related data were anonymously collected through the project’s webpage. Narratives were analysed through MAXQDA (VERBI Software, Berlin, Germany), NM classifications and content analysis. Results A total of 171 patients with DED, 37 informal caregivers and 81 ophthalmologists participated in the research. DED was defined as a disabling condition by 19% of patients and 35% of caregivers; 70% of patients reported that a therapeutic alliance is an integral part of DED treatment and 32% hope for more effective therapies. Forty-four per cent of patients assessed their own QoL as good; however, DED emerged as importantly impacting work performance and social events. DED physical, emotional and economic burden and the cruciality of a trusting care relationship represent the main themes that emerged across all narratives, while empathy and effective treatment are among the factors favouring coping with DED. Conclusion This project marked a pioneering initiative investigating the lived experience of patients with DED through NM, simultaneously involving all viewpoints involved in the care pathway. NM enabled the unveiling of factors favouring the ability to cope with DED and its associated QoL implications and provided valuable insights to improve the therapeutic alliance.

Abstract Background The COVID-19 pandemic has had, and still has, a profound impact on national health systems, altering trajectories of care and exacerbating existing inequalities in health. Postponement of surgeries and cancellation of elective surgical procedures have been reported worldwide. In Italy, the lock-down measures following the COVID-19 pandemic caused cancellations of surgical procedures and important backlogs; little is known about potential social inequalities in the recovery process that occurred during the post-lockdown period. This study aims at evaluating whether all population social strata benefited equally from the surgical volumes’ recovery in four large Italian regions. Methods This multicentre cohort study covers a population of approximately 11 million people. To assess if social inequalities exist in the recovery of eight indicators of elective and oncological surgery, we estimated Risk Ratios (RR) through Poisson models, comparing the incidence proportions of events recorded during COVID-19 (2020-21) with those in pre-pandemic years (2018-19) for each pandemic period and educational level. Results Compared to 2018-19, volumes of elective surgery showed a U-shape with the most significant drops during the second wave or the vaccination phase. The recovery was socially unequal. At the end of 2021, incidence proportions among highly educated people generally exceeded the expected ones; RRs were 1.31 (95%CI 1.21–1.42), 1.24 (95%CI 1.17–1.23), 1.17 (95%CI 1.08–1.26) for knee and hip replacement and prostatic surgery, respectively. Limited medical image data hinders the training of deep learning (DL) models in the biomedical field. Image augmentation can reduce the data-scarcity problem by generating variations of existing images. However, currently implemented methods require coding, excluding non-programmer users from this opportunity.We therefore present ImageAugmenter, an easy-to-use and open-source module for 3D Slicer imaging computing platform. It offers a simple and intuitive interface for applying over 20 simultaneous MONAI Transforms (spatial, intensity, etc.) to medical image datasets, all without programming.ImageAugmenter makes accessible medical image augmentation, enabling a wider range of users to improve the performance of DL models in medical image analysis by increasing the number of samples available for training.

ABSTRACTInfectious diseases pose a significant burden on the general population, particularly older adults who are more susceptible to severe complications. Immunization plays a crucial role in preventing infections and securing a healthier aging, but actual vaccination rates among older adults and frail individuals (OAFs) remains far from recommended targets. This study aims to collect and share good practices implemented in several Italian local health districts during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic to ease routine immunization for OAFs. A 28-items questionnaire has been developed to collect information on organization aspect of immunization services and local good practices implemented before and during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Twelve Public Health managers representative of 9 Italian Regions were further interviewed between January and March 2021. Despite literature suggests several effective interventions to increase vaccine demand, improve vaccine access, and enhance healthcare providers’ performance, our survey highlighted substantial heterogeneity in their implementation at local level. Seven good local practices have been identified and described: mass vaccination centers; vaccination mobile units; drive-through vaccination; co-administration; tailored pathways; cooperation among providers involved in vaccination; digitization. Our survey pointed out valuable strategies for enhancing routine immunization for OAFs. Providers should combine effective interventions adequate to their specific context and share good practices.

The outcome measures were postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), best-corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), subjective refractive astigmatism (SRAst), and keratometric astigmatism at 3mm area (SimK), spherical equivalent (SEq).Results: Postoperative visual acuity significantly improved in both groups. Mean CDVA was higher in the DALK group 3 months (DALK 0.61, PK 0.42, p< 0.05), 6 months (DALK 0.69, PK 0.44, p< 0.05), and 12 months (DALK 0.72, PK 0.45, p< 0.05) postoperatively. However, 6 months after suture removal, CDVA was not statistically different between the two groups (DALK 0.71, PK 0.75, p> 0.05). Final SRAst and SimK also were comparable between the two groups (respectively DALK 2.97, PK:2.81, p> 0.05; DALK 3.91, PK 2.37, p> 0.05). No significant statistical differences were noted for UCVA and SEq data during the entire follow-up period between the two groups.Conclusion: Both methods of corneal transplantation resulted in a notable enhancement of visual and refractive outcomes in eyes afflicted by advanced keratoconus. Descemetic DALK demonstrated superior visual acuity before suture removal, whereas DALK and PK exhibited comparable results in terms of visual acuity, refractive correction, and keratometric astigmatism after suture removal.Keywords: astigmatism, corneal topography, descemetic dalk, keratoconus, PK

Background/Objectives: Conventional anticancer therapies often lack specificity, targeting both cancerous and normal cells, which reduces efficacy and leads to undesired off-target effects. An additional challenge is the presence of hypoxic regions in tumors, where the Hypoxia Inducible Factor (HIF) transcriptional system drives the expression of pro-survival and drug resistance genes, leading to radio- and chemo-resistance. This study aims to explore the efficacy of targeted nanoparticle (NP)-based small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapies in downregulating these genes to enhance treatment outcomes in pancreatic cancer, a tumor type characterized by high CD44 expression and hypoxia. Methods: We utilized hyaluronic acid (HA)-displaying nanoparticles composed of positively charged chitosan (CS) complexed with siRNA to target and knock down HIF-1α in pancreatic cancer cells. Two NP formulations were prepared using either low molecular weight (LMW) or high molecular weight (HMW) CS. These formulations were evaluated for their internalization by cells and their effectiveness in gene silencing, both in vitro and in vivo. Results: The study found that the molecular weight (MW) of CS influenced the interaction between HA and CD44, as well as the release of siRNA upon internalization. The LMW CS formulation shows faster uptake kinetics, while HMW CS is more effective in gene knockdown across different cell lines in vitro. In vivo, both were able to significantly knockdown HIF-1α and some of its downstream genes. Conclusions: The results suggest that HMW and LMW CS-based NPs exhibit distinct characteristics, showing that both MWs have potential for targeted pancreatic cancer therapy by influencing different aspects of delivery and gene silencing, particularly in the hypoxic tumor microenvironment.

In this pilot study, a multi-parametric analysis comparing immune responses in sera of adult healthy subjects (HS) or people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) undergoing the single or simultaneous administration of mRNA-based COVID-19 and cellular quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccines was conducted. While SARS-CoV-2 antibodies remains comparable, influenza antibody titers and seroconversion were significantly higher upon simultaneous vaccination. Magnitude of anti-influenza humoral response closely correlated with an early innate immune signature, previously described for the COVID-19 vaccine, composed of IL-15, IL-6, TNF-α, IFN-γ, CXCL-10 and here extended also to acute-phase protein Pentraxin 3. People with T2D receiving simultaneous vaccination showed a protective response comparable to HS correlating with the early induction of IFN-γ/CXCL10 and a significant reduction of the circulating glucose level due to increased oxidation of glucose digestion and consumption. These data, although preliminary and in-need of validation in larger cohorts, might be exploited to optimize future vaccination in people with chronic disorders, including diabetes.

BackgroundInfant leukemia is a rare form of acute leukemia diagnosed prior to the age of 1 and is characterized by an extremely poor prognosis due to its dismal response to current therapeutic approaches. It comprises about 4% of all childhood cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Isolated initial cutaneous involvement in ALL is uncommon, and even more so in infant ALL.Case presentationHere, we present the case of a 2-month-old healthy-appearing infant, initially presenting with a single scalp nodule and subsequently diagnosed with an infant ALL. The leukemia was characterized by the most immature B-lineage immunophenotype [pro-B ALL/B-I, according to the European Group for the Immunological Characterization of Leukaemias (EGIL) classification] and chromosomal translocation t(9;11)(p22;q23), resulting in fusion gene KMTLA2::MLLT3, which is considered a negative prognostic factor. The patient underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and is still in remission.ConclusionsThis case is peculiar because of the rare occurrence of isolated initial cutaneous involvement in ALL. Despite the healthy appearance of the patient, every suspicious symptom suggestive of malignancies should be further investigated to anticipate the diagnosis and start treatment early.

Outcome measures: uncorrected and best-corrected distance visual acuity, subjective refractive astigmatism, keratometric astigmatism, spherical equivalent, minimum corneal thickness, and corneal morphological irregularity index. Subjects were followed for 12 months post-treatment.Results: Eighteen eyes of 18 patients aged between 32 and 75 years treated with topography-guided transepithelial PRK with iRes excimer laser (iVIS Technologies, Taranto, Italy) from June 2020 to July 2021. After 12 months, the mean UDVA improved from 1.0± 0.00LogMAR pre-op to 0.15± 0.154LogMAR, and the mean CDVA improved from 0.4± 0.41LogMAR pre-op to 0.0± 0.00LogMAR. With respect to UDVA, all treated eyes (100%) showed an improvement of 6 ETDRS lines or more and with respect to CDVA, 9 out of 18 eyes (50%) showed an improvement of 6 ETDRS lines or more. The mean ablation depth was 54.7± 5.9μm. A statistically significant improvement was observed in all topographic indices. No infiltrate recurrence, post-treatment corneal haze, ocular hypertension or other side effects were observed throughout the follow-up period.Conclusion: Topography-guided PRK could be considered an effective and safe treatment option to improve visual acuity in patients affected by persistent and visually-significant subepithelial corneal infiltrates caused by EKC.Keywords: adenoviral epidemic keratoconjunctivitis, subepithelial corneal opacities, topography-guided transepithelial PRK

Background: Bimatoprost has emerged as a significant medication in the field of medicine over the past several decades, with diverse applications in ophthalmology, dermatology, and beyond. Originally developed as an ocular hypotensive agent, it has proven highly effective in treating glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Its ability to reduce intraocular pressure has established it as a first-line treatment option, improving management and preventing vision loss. In dermatology, bimatoprost has shown promising results in the promotion of hair growth, particularly in the treatment of alopecia and hypotrichosis. Its mechanism of action, stimulating the hair cycle and prolonging the growth phase, has led to the development of bimatoprost-containing solutions for enhancing eyelash growth. Aim: The aim of our review is to provide a brief description, overview, and studies in the current literature regarding the versatile clinical use of bimatoprost in recent years. This can help clinicians determine the most suitable individualized therapy to meet the needs of each patient. Methods: Our methods involve a comprehensive review of the latest advancements reported in the literature in bimatoprost formulations, which range from traditional eye drops to sustained-release implants. These innovations offer extended drug delivery, enhance patient compliance, and minimize side effects. Results: The vast literature published on PubMed has confirmed the clinical usefulness of bimatoprost in lowering intraocular pressure and in managing patients with glaucoma. Numerous studies have shown promising results in dermatology and esthetics in promoting hair growth, particularly in treating alopecia and hypotrichosis. Its mechanism of action involves stimulating the hair cycle and prolonging the growth phase, leading to the development of solutions that enhance eyelash growth. The global use of bimatoprost has expanded significantly, with applications growing beyond its initial indications. Ongoing research is exploring its potential in glaucoma surgery, neuroprotection, and cosmetic procedures. Conclusions: Bimatoprost has shown immense potential for addressing a wide range of therapeutic needs through various formulations and advancements. Promising future perspectives include the exploration of novel delivery systems such as contact lenses and microneedles to further enhance drug efficacy and patient comfort. Ongoing research and future perspectives continue to shape its role in medicine, promising further advancements and improved patient outcomes.

The COVID-19 pandemic has globally disrupted immunisation practices, impacting vulnerable populations such as pregnant women (PW), who harbour concerns about future children’s immunisations. This study aimed to assess the pandemic’s impact on PW’s attitudes towards childhood vaccinations. During three consecutive flu seasons from October 2019 to January 2022, a cross-sectional study was conducted in a large Italian teaching hospital using a questionnaire. The chi-square test was performed to compare each season. Across the 2019–2020 to 2021–2022 seasons, course attendance by PW surged from 105 to 340. Significant shifts in vaccination intentions were noted, including a 7.5% decrease in measles vaccination intent (p = 0.02) and a 10% decrease in that of pertussis (p = 0.004) from 2019–2020 to 2020–2021. While perceived contagion risk decreased, disease severity perceptions increased, with few significant differences. A statistically significant reduction was noted in the proportion of participants suspecting economic motives behind NHS workers’ promotion of childhood vaccinations. Furthermore, the pandemic period saw an increase in the perceived utility of non-institutional websites and the advice of physicians outside the NHS. These findings will help develop evidence-based, tailored interventions and communication strategies to address vaccine hesitancy and ensure optimal vaccination coverage among children born during and after the pandemic.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative tool in the field of ophthalmology, revolutionizing disease diagnosis and management. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of AI applications in various retinal diseases, highlighting its potential to enhance screening efficiency, facilitate early diagnosis, and improve patient outcomes. Herein, we elucidate the fundamental concepts of AI, including machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL), and their application in ophthalmology, underscoring the significance of AI-driven solutions in addressing the complexity and variability of retinal diseases. Furthermore, we delve into the specific applications of AI in retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy (DR), age-related macular degeneration (AMD), Macular Neovascularization, retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), retinal vein occlusion (RVO), hypertensive retinopathy (HR), Retinitis Pigmentosa, Stargardt disease, best vitelliform macular dystrophy, and sickle cell retinopathy. We focus on the current landscape of AI technologies, including various AI models, their performance metrics, and clinical implications. Furthermore, we aim to address challenges and pitfalls associated with the integration of AI in clinical practice, including the “black box phenomenon”, biases in data representation, and limitations in comprehensive patient assessment. In conclusion, this review emphasizes the collaborative role of AI alongside healthcare professionals, advocating for a synergistic approach to healthcare delivery. It highlights the importance of leveraging AI to augment, rather than replace, human expertise, thereby maximizing its potential to revolutionize healthcare delivery, mitigate healthcare disparities, and improve patient outcomes in the evolving landscape of medicine.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder, characterized by progressive loss of both upper and lower motor neurons, resulting in clinical features such as muscle weakness, paralysis, and ultimately, respiratory failure. Nowadays, there is not effective treatment to reverse the progression of the disease, that leads to death within 3–5 years after the onset. Nevertheless, the induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS) technology could be the answer, providing disease modelling, drug testing, and cell-based therapies for this pathology. The aim of this work was to conduct a literature review of the past 5 years about the role of iPS in ALS, to better define the neurobiological mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis and the potential future therapies. The review also deals with advanced and currently available technologies used to reprogram cell lines and generate human motor neurons in vitro, which represent the source to study the pathological processes, the relationship between phenotype and genotype, the disease progression and the potential therapeutic targets of these group of disorders. Specific treatment options with stem cells involve Advance Gene Editing Technology, neuroprotective agents, and cells or exosomes transplantation, aimed to replace dead or damaged nerve cells. In summary, this review comprehensively addresses the role of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) in motor neuron diseases (MND), with a focus on physiopathology, diagnostic and prognostic implications, specific and potential future treatment options. Understanding the biological mechanisms and practical implications of hPSCs in MND is crucial for advancing therapeutic strategies and improving outcomes for patients affected by these devastating diseases.

Introduction: In light of the impact of airway barrier leaks in COVID-19 and the significance of vitamin D in COVID-19 outcomes, including airway barrier protection, we investigated whether the very common dietary flavonoid quercetin could also be efficacious in supporting airway barrier function.Methods: To address this question, we utilized the widely used airway epithelial cell culture model, Calu-3.Results: We observed that treating Calu-3 cell layers with quercetin increased transepithelial electrical resistance while simultaneously reducing transepithelial leaks of 14C-D-mannitol (Jm) and 14C-inulin. The effects of quercetin were concentration-dependent and exhibited a biphasic time course. These effects of quercetin occurred with changes in tight junctional protein composition as well as a partial inhibition of cell replication that resulted in decreased linear junctional density. Both of these effects potentially contribute to improved barrier function. Quercetin was equally effective in reducing the barrier compromise caused by the pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-α, an action that seemed to derive, in part, from reducing the elevation of ERK 1/2 caused by TNF-α.Discussion: Quercetin improved Calu-3 barrier function and reduced TNF-α-induced barrier compromise, mediated in part by changes in the tight junctional complex.

Background: In adult oncology, the practice of tracking symptoms and toxicities using patient-reported outcomes (PROs) has increased and correlates with increased survival. In contrast, symptom monitoring using PROs is not common in pediatric oncology. Only in the last couple of years attention has also been paid to the patient’s perception in pediatrics and listening to the voice of children and to making them participate in the treatment. Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted in MEDLINE/PubMed and PsycINFO to identify relevant articles published through December 2022. Results: From 58 non-duplicate articles, 33 met our eligibility criteria. Of these, 17 were used in clinical trials. Conclusions: The dissemination and use of these tools will therefore have surprising repercussions on the control of pain and physical symptoms of small patients as well as on physical and psychological aspects. The administration and use of the PROs ensures optimal use of the drugs currently present in clinical trials by researcher and nurse and aims at a safer and more controlled approval of new drugs.

Abstract Background Since the use of medicines is strongly correlated to population health needs, higher drug consumption is expected in socio-economical deprived areas. However, no systematic study investigated the relationship between medications use in the treatment of chronic diseases and the socioeconomic position of patients. The purpose of the study is to provide a description, both at national level and with geographical detail, of the use of medicines, in terms of consumption, adherence and persistence, for the treatment of major chronic diseases in groups of population with different level of socioeconomic position. Methods A cross-sectional study design was used to define the “prevalent” users during 2018. A longitudinal cohort study design was performed for each chronic disease in new drug users, in 2018 and the following year. A retrospective population-based study, considering all adult Italian residents (i.e. around 50.7 million people aged ≥ 18 years). Different medications were used as a proxy for underlying chronic diseases: hypertension, dyslipidemia, osteoporosis, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Only “chronic” patients who had at least 2 prescriptions within the same subgroup of drugs or specific medications during the year were selected for the analysis. A multidimensional measures of socio-economic position, declined in a national deprivation index at the municipality level, was used to identify and estimate the relationship with drug use indicators. The medicine consumption rate for each pharmacological category was estimated for prevalent users while adherence and persistence to pharmacologic therapy at 12 months were evaluated for new users. Results The results highlighted how the socioeconomic deprivation is strongly correlated with the use of medicines: after adjustment by deprivation index, the drug consumption rates decreased, mainly in the most disadvantaged areas, where consumption levels are on average higher than in other areas. On the other hand, the adherence and persistence indicators did not show the same trend. Conclusions This study showed that drug consumption is influenced by the level of deprivation consistently with the distribution of diseases. For this reason, the main levers on which it is necessary to act to reduce disparities in health status are mainly related to prevention. Moreover, it is worth pointing out that the use of a municipal deprivation indicator necessarily generates an ecological bias, however, the experience of the present study, which for the first-time deals with the complex and delicate issue of equity in Italian pharmaceutical assistance, sets the stage for new insights that could overcome the limits.

Glaucoma, a complex and multifactorial neurodegenerative disorder, is a leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. Despite significant advancements in our understanding of its pathogenesis and management, early diagnosis and effective treatment of glaucoma remain major clinical challenges. Epigenetic modifications, encompassing deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) methylation, histone modifications, and non-coding RNAs, have emerged as critical regulators of gene expression and cellular processes. The aim of this comprehensive review focuses on the emerging field of epigenetics and its role in understanding the complex genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying glaucoma. The review will provide an overview of the pathophysiology of glaucoma, emphasizing the intricacies of intraocular pressure regulation, retinal ganglion cell dysfunction, and optic nerve damage. It explores how epigenetic modifications, such as DNA methylation and histone modifications, can influence gene expression, and how these mechanisms are implicated in glaucomatous neurodegeneration and contribute to glaucoma pathogenesis. The manuscript discusses evidence from both animal models and human studies, providing insights into the epigenetic alterations associated with glaucoma onset and progression. Additionally, it discusses the potential of using epigenetic modifications as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for more personalized and targeted glaucoma treatment.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a complex and multifactorial disease and a leading cause of irreversible blindness in the elderly population. The anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) therapy has revolutionized the management and prognosis of neovascular AMD (nAMD) and is currently the standard of care for this disease. However, patients are required to receive repeated injections, imposing substantial social and economic burdens. The implementation of gene therapy methods to achieve sustained delivery of various therapeutic proteins holds the promise of a single treatment that could ameliorate the treatment challenges associated with chronic intravitreal therapy, and potentially improve visual outcomes. Several early-phase trials are currently underway, evaluating the safety and efficacy of gene therapy for nAMD; however, areas of controversy persist, including the therapeutic target, route of administration, and potential safety issues. In this review, we assess the evolution of gene therapy for nAMD and summarize several preclinical and early-stage clinical trials, exploring challenges and future directions.

Medical imaging is the mainstay of clinical diagnosis and management. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging technology that has revolutionized the field of ophthalmology. Since its introduction, OCT has undergone significant improvements in image quality, speed, and resolution, making it an essential diagnostic tool for various ocular pathologies. OCT has not only improved the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases but has also found applications in other fields of medicine. In this manuscript, we provide a brief overview of the history of OCT, its current uses and diagnostic capabilities to assess the posterior segment of the eye, and the evolution of this technology from time-domain (TD) to spectral-domain (SD) and swept-source (SS). This brief review will also discuss the limitations, advantages, disadvantages, and future perspectives of this technology in the field of ophthalmology.

Abstract Radiation therapy (RT) is now considered to be a main component of cancer therapy, alongside surgery, chemotherapy and monoclonal antibody-based immunotherapy. In RT, cancer tissues are exposed to ionizing radiation causing the death of malignant cells and favoring cancer regression. However, the efficiency of RT may be hampered by cell-radioresistance (RR)—that is a feature of tumor cells of withstanding RT. To improve the RT performance, it is decisive developing methods that can help to quantify cell sensitivity to radiation. In acknowledgment of the fact that none of the existing methods to assess RR are based on cell graphs topology, in this work we have examined how 2D cell networks, within a single colony, from different human lung cancer lines (H460, A549 and Calu-1) behave in response to doses of ionizing radiation ranging from 0 to 8 Gy. We measured the structure of resulting cell-graphs using well-assessed networks-analysis metrics, such as the clustering coefficient (cc), the characteristic path length (cpl), and the small world coefficient (SW). Findings of the work illustrate that the clustering characteristics of cell-networks show a marked sensitivity to the dose and cell line. Higher-than-one values of SW coefficient, clue of a discontinuous and inhomogeneous cell spatial layout, are associated to elevated levels of radiation and to a lower radio-resistance of the treated cell line. Results of the work suggest that topology could be used as a quantitative parameter to assess the cell radio-resistance and measure the performance of cancer radiotherapy.

How might a 4-year-old pupil come to conceive a line, created by himself with a continuous gesture, as constituted by a series of points? In this paper, we theoretically introduce and discuss a design study of the educational path in which this possibility emerged. The path aimed at leading pupils to "experience," in the sense of the enactive perspective and of the sensuous cognition, straight, jagged and curved lines, which arise from their own "movements," through particular walking patterns, or via painting and drawing activities.
