Abstract

O presente artigo surge na sequência da análise teórica e do trabalho etnográfico realizado em 2017 e 2018, condensada na dissertação de mestrado em Antropologia sobre saúde mental, psiquiatria transcultural e requerentes de asilo/refugiados. Procurou-se, aqui, trilhar pela análise referente aos modelos da psiquiatria moderna e a importância do papel da antropologia (da saúde) na produção de novas formulações teóricas, que dizem respeito à “transculturalidade” na clínica. Importa salientar que, cada vez mais, é necessária a interdisciplinaridade de ambas as áreas, pois o contrário vem sido revelado como conducente a práticas clínicas transculturais estéreis, que fragmentam a realidade trazida pelos imigrantes, refugiados e requerentes de asilo. 5. Una nota sobre el delta-ésimo momento en modelos ARMA-APARCH con distribuciones condicionales estables y GEV

Abstract

In a ARMA-APARCH time series model with innovations Z, the delta-stationarity condition of the APARCH process involves the delta-th moment of the difference between the absolute value of the innovations with the product of the asymmetry parameter and the innovations. This moment allows calculating more efficiently the estimates of the parameters of the model by maximum likelihood. In this article, we obtain explicit expressions of this delta - th moment where Z has stable and GEV distribution. These moments have been implemented in our GEVStableGarch package available in CRAN R-PROJECT developed to estimate the parameters of ARMA-GARCH / APARCH models with stable innovations and GEV., En un modelo de series temporales ARMA-APARCH con innovaciones Z, la condición de delta - estacionariedad del proceso APARCH envuelve el delta-ésimo momento de la diferencia entre el valor absoluto de las innovaciones con el producto del parámetro de asimetría y las innovaciones. Este momento permite calcular de forma mas eficiente las estimativas de máxima verosimilitud de los parámetros del modelo. En este artículo, son obtenidas expresiones explícitas de ese delta-ésimo momento onde Z tem distribución estable y GEV. Esos momentos se han implementado en nuestro paquete GEVStableGarch disponible en CRAN R-PROJECT desarrollado para estimar los parámetros de los modelos ARMA-GARCH / APARCH con innovaciones estables y GEV.

11. Multiband FSS with Fractal Characteristic Based on Jerusalem Cross Geometry.

Abstract

This paper proposes a new Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) with modifications on the Jerusalem Cross (JC) geometry to provide a multiband response. Fractal levels are created by introducing concentric self-similar JC copies in the original unit cell. This modification results in new dipoles at the structure which allows for the appearance of new bands proportional to these diploles' lengths, while maintaining total unit cell size. Three fractal levels of the JC FSS are studied in this paper, and third level presents five resonant frequencies which are ƒ1 = 1.78 GHz, ƒ2 = 6.42 GHz, ƒ3 = 8.69 GHz, ƒ4 = 10.94 GHz and ƒ5 = 12.98 GHz. 13. Biomass burning and carbon monoxide patterns in Brazil during the extreme drought years of 2005, 2010, and 2015.

Abstract

In the 21st century, severe droughts associated with climate change will increase biomass burning (BB) in Brazil caused by the human activities. Recent droughts, especially in 2005, 2010, and 2015, caused strong socioeconomic and environmental impacts. The 2015 drought considered the most severe since 1901, surpassed the 2005 and 2010 events in respect to area and duration. Herein, based on satellite data, the 2005, 2010 and 2015 drought impacts on wildfire episodes and carbon monoxide (CO) variability during the dry and the dry-to-wet transition seasons were examined. The BB occurrences in the dry season were fewer during 2015 than during 2005 (-44%) and 2010 (-47%). Contrasting, the BB events in the dry-to-wet transition season, were higher during 2015 than during 2005 (+192%) and 2010 (+332%). The BB outbreaks were concentrated in the southern and southwestern Amazon during 2005, in the Cerrado region during 2010, and mainly in the central and northern Amazon during 2015, an area normally with few fires. The CO concentration showed positive variations (up to +30%) occurred in the southern Amazon and central Brazil during the 2005 and 2010 dry seasons, and north of 20 °S during the 2015-2016 dry-to-wet transition season. The BB outbreaks and the CO emissions showed a considerable spatiotemporal variability among the droughts of 2005, 2010, and 2016, first of them driven by local conditions in the tropical North Atlantic (TNA), characterized by warm than normal sea surface waters and the other two by the El Niño occurrences., (Copyright © 2018 Elsevier Ltd.
