Machine fault diagnosis is a very important topic in industrial systems and deserves further consideration in view of the growing complexity and performance requirements of modern machinery. Currently, manufacturing companies and researchers are making a great attempt to implement efficient fault diagnosis tools. The signal processing is a key step for the machine condition monitoring in complex industrial rotating electrical machines. A number of signal processing techniques have been reported from last two decades conventionally and effectively applied on different rotating machines. Induction motor is the one of widely used in various industrial applications due to small size, low cost and operation with existing power supply. Faults and failure of the induction machine in industry can be the cause of loss of throughput and significant financial losses. As compared with the other faults with the broken rotor bar, it has significant importance because of severity which leads to a serious breakdown of motor. Detection of rotor failure has become significant fault but difficult task in machine fault diagnosis. The aim of this paper is indented to summarizes the fault diagnosis techniques with the purpose of the broken rotor bar fault detection.

Agricultural crop monitoring and data analysis has been challenging part in agronomics. The IoT based systems give a better solutions to monitor crop and collect data for further analysis. This study bases on soil and weather data collection and prepare a dataset. The dataset is constructed on the basis of four important parameters of weather and soil including temperature, soil pH level, humidity, soil moisture and smoke. The two major crops monitored named Wheat and Cotton for dataset construction. The data set attributes are selected by applying principal component analysis. The highest ranked attribute is selected for data analysis. Furthermore, machine learning models applied for the better results analysis comparatively. ML models parameters are Correlation coefficient, Mean Absolute error, Root Mean Squared Error, relative absolute error and Root relative squared error. The results are obtained by Applying WEKA Data Mining Tool. The results showed that Random Forest Classifier performed better results as compared to KNN and Decision Tree classifiers. To realize simple and intelligent electrochemical ammonia (NH3) detection in water, highly dense colloidal copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) were prepared and subsequently deposited onto a glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The CuNPs/GCE was then placed in an oven at 60 °C to intelligently transform CuNPs into cuprous oxide (Cu2O) thin film. The colloidal CuNPs were characterized by ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, whereas the fabricated Cu2O/GCE was subjected to Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The XRD of Cu2O/GCE showed the crystalline nature of the thermally converted Cu2O thin film, whereas XPS demonstrated that the thin film formed on the surface of GCE was primarily composed of Cu2O. The SEM images of Cu2O/GCE revealed Cu2O crystals with hexapod morphology. The EIS study exhibited substantially higher charger transfer activity of Cu2O/GCE compared to bare GCE. The drop coating of ammonia (NH3) solution onto Cu2O/GCE enabled the fabricated electrode to be utilized as an electrochemical sensor for NH3 detection in water. The cyclic voltammetric (CV) behavior of NH3/Cu2O/GCE was investigated in 0.1 M pH 7 phosphate buffer, which led to the formation of a copper-ammonia complex and revealed the nobility of the fabricated electrode. The square wave voltammetric (SWV) response was linear over the 10 µM and 1000 µM ranges with a detection limit of 6.23 µM and good reproducibility. The NH3/Cu2O/GCE displayed high selectivity for the detection of NH3 in the presence of various coexisting cations and anions in 0.1 M pH 7 phosphate buffer. Considering journalistic ethics as being constructed and negotiated by journalists in an everyday work routine, this study seeks to measure journalists’ ethical orientation through respondents’ tolerance toward twelve common ethically controversial practices (ECPs) in the journalism field. A cross-sectional survey through administering a close-ended questionnaire was carried out on a purposive sample of 250 journalists in Sindh province, Pakistan to investigate their opinions on various ECPs. Regarding demographic characteristics, the findings show that the majority of the surveyed respondents are male, aged between 31-40 years, having the highest education bachelor level degree, and working for Sindhi language print media organizations with professional experience of up to 10 years. Further, it was found that the majority of the journalists show displeasure over the adoption of ten ethically controversial practices. However, two practices tend to be acceptable in certain situations. Added the journalists associated with print media tend to be more tolerant toward ECPs as compared to those who were associated with electronic media. This paper presents in-depth analysis of I-V-T characteristics of Au/ZnO nanorods Schottky diodes. The temperature dependence I-V parameters such as the ideality factor and the barrier heights have been explained on the basis of inhomogeneity. Detailed and systematic analysis was performed to extract information about the interface trap states. The ideality factor decreases, while the barrier height increases with increase of temperature. These observations have been ascribed to barrier inhomogeneities at the Au/ZnO nanorods interface. The inhomogeneities can be described by the Gaussian distribution of barrier heights. The effect of tunneling, Fermi level pinning, and image force lowering has contribution in the barrier height lowering. The recombination-tunneling mechanism is used to explain the conduction process in Au/ZnO nanorods Schottky diodes. Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is vital in oxidative stress. Keeping in view the importance of this enzyme, present study was conducted for partial characterization of GST from hepatocytes of Cyprinus carpio. The inferences showed higher (GST) activity in liver of C. carpio collected from Chashma Barrage (144.33±1.15) as compared to Trimmu Head works (128.66.3±0.577) and Rasul Barrage (111.66±0.577) sampling sites. The highest GST activity was 128±0.333 U mL-1 from the crude extract fraction of liver as compared to other fractions of appraisal fish liver. Whereas the lowest activity (109±0.666 U mL-1) was from desalted fraction. Optical density was recorded by spectrophotometer at 280 nm, the fractions that showed high optical density were subjected to enzyme assay. Highest specific activity was 183.63, 153.84 and 162.50 U mg-1 for purified liver GST of C. carpio captured from Trimmu Head works, Rasul Barrage and Chashma Barrage, respectively. Whereas, fold purification was 2.86, 2.69 and 2.10 while, percent recovery was 78.90, 72.07 and 63.19 %, respectively for purified liver GST. The optimum pH was 6.5, 6.0 and 6.8 whereas, temperature was 30.5 °C, 31 °C and 30 °C followed by substrate concentration 40.3 mM, 40 mM and 41 mM, for purified liver GST of C. carpio captured from Trimmu Head works, Rasul Barrage and Chashma Barrage, respectively. Present study was conducted to assess the haematological profile of Channa marulius from hatchery and riverine populations. Blood samples were collected by caudal vein puncture. Significantly higher values (p ≤ 0.05) were recorded for various blood indices in hatchery populations as compared to those of riverine sources. Observed values of haematological parameters in hatchery populations were: Erythrocytes 4.90×106 cells µL-1, eosinophils 4.06 %, monocytes 5.53 %, haematocrit count 28.86 %, haemoglobin content 5.385 gdL-1, platelet distribution width 6.91 fL, red blood cell distribution width 23.83 fL, Procalcitonin 2.37 µL, mean corpuscular volume 7.87 fL and large platelet concentration ratio 14.64 %. In riverine populations, significantly higher values (p ≤ 0.05) for leucocytes count 5625×103 µL-1, mean cell haemoglobin 32.75 pg, mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration 43.66 gdL-1 and mean cell volume 171.90 fL were observed as compared to those of hatchery populations. Conversely, non-significant (p ≥ 0.05) differences were observed with elevated values for neutrophils (14.042 %) in riverine fish populations as compared hatchery samples (13.896 %). Lymphocytes and platelets counts were 17.344 % and 33.742×103 µL-1, respectively in hatchery populations whereas in riverine populations these were 13.764 % and 33.896×103 µL-1, respectively. Physico-chemical parameters of sample water were observed to be in safe range throughout the study period. The observed variation in haematological profile between both groups is due to different inhabiting conditions that exert direct impacts on fish haematology. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
