Ketoacidosis of metabolic disease showed in beef cattle although body weight was increased by high-grain diets (HGDs). However, few studies have examined for health status related with metabolic disease of ketoacidosis following high-protein diet (HPD). Metabolomic analysis was performed for the monitoring of health status associated with metabolic disease of ketoacidosis in the plasma of Hanwoo heifers following a HPD. Hanwoo heifers of 24 months with 459 ± 42 kg weight were used under a 2 × 2 crossover design. The plasma was collected from control (n = 5) and HPD group (n = 5) on day 21 following diet adaptation for 20 days. Metabolic profiling analysis of organic acids (OAs), amino acids (AAs) and fatty acids (FAs) by gas chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry combined with star pattern analysis was performed in plasma. Levels of OAs, AAs and FAs were evaluated by Mann-Whitney test, PCA and PLS-DA. In HPD group, ketoacidosis as metabolic disease was monitored by elevated acetoacetic acid and 3-hydroxybutyric acid. In addition, the elevation of ketogenic AAs, reduction of medium chain FAs and OAs with energy metabolism in TCA cycle were monitored in HPD group. Star graphic pattern was characteristic and readily distinguished between control and HPD groups. In PLS-DA, two groups were separated with VIP score of top-ranked 10 FAs as important metabolites for discrimination. Elevation of ketone body including ketogenic AAs and reduced energy metabolism of FAs and OAs may useful for evaluation of health states associated with ketoacidosis from metabolic event by HPD in beef cattle.

Background; The infrared thermographic technology was used to visualize the meridian course, "energetic paths" at the human body surface from 1980s. Background; Angina pectoris is a clinical syndrome of precordial discomfort or pressure due to transient myocardial ischemia without infarction. Treatment may include antiplatelet drugs, nitrates, beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, ACE inhibitors, statins, and coronary angioplasty or coronary artery bypass graft surgery.Objectives; The purpose of this study is to perform clinical trial on an angina pectoris patient by mineral pulse light stimulus on PC6 acupoints without any drugs use.Methods; Angina pectoris patient was stimulated by mineral pulse light stimulator (MPLS). Stimulus acupoints; PC6. The selected acupoints were stimulated by MPLS for 50~60 minutes once a day. The same method was performed on the patient for 15days without any drugs use (nitroglycerin, isosorbide, atenolol, diltiazem, etc.).Results; A heart attack after treatment decreased gradually, a heart attack disappeared after 3 days, and the recurrence was no for 3 years until now.Conclusions; Angina pectoris patient was recovered to normal by mineral pulse light stimulus on PC6 acupoints without any drugs use.

Background; The acupuncture meridian is the channel through which Qi & Blood flow, and acupuncture is having many thousands year history for treating various illnesses. However, there was no powerful evidence to prove the existence of meridians until now. Objectives; The purpose of this study is to explain that the meridian-like high thermal line (MLHTL) is the powerful evidence to prove the existence of meridians in human body. Methods; The meridian-like high thermal line inducing and the disease cure effect in the target organs connected along the meridians by the mineral pulse light stimuli, was researched and analyzed. Results; The meridian-like high thermal lines were induced along the classic meridians course at the human body surface, and simultaneously the internal refractory diseases such as nephrotic syndrome and angina pectoris were treated in the target organs connected along the meridians without drug use by the mineral pulse light stimuli. Conclusions; The meridian-like high thermal line is the powerful evidence to prove the existence of meridians in human body. From now on, MPL stimulator (Version 1) can induce MLHTL, and can show the non-drug cure effect in target organ connected along MLHTL.

Background; The primo vascular system (PVS) is new circulatory system. However, the primo vascular system doesn’t achieve now on the valuation criteria on the substance of meridians, so that anyone can't prove that the primo vascular system is the substance of meridians. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to prove clinical-physiologically that the primo vascular system is the substance of acupuncture meridian.Methods: Meridian-like high thermal line (MLHTL) induced by the mineral pulse light stimulus on acupoints, and nephrotic syndrome treated simultaneously without any drug use, were researched and analyzed. Next, the inducing characteristic of meridian-like high thermal lines and, anatomic and electro-physiologic characteristic of PVS were researched and analyzed. Results: The KI, SP meridian-like high thermal line coinciding completely along the classic KI, SP meridian course, were induced by the mineral pulse light stimulus on SP6 acupoints, and simultaneously nephrotic syndrome in kidney, the internal target organ connected along KI meridian from the KI3, SP6 acupoints, was treated without any drug use. And the primo vascular system was basis tissue of MLHTL inducing. Conclusions: The primo vascular system was achieved completely to the valuation criteria on the substance of meridians. Thus, the primo vascular system is the substance of meridians.

Background: Decompensated cirrhosis is an illness that causes tremendous suffering. The incidence of cirrhosis is increasing and rates of liver transplant, the only cure, remain stagnant. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to perform the clinical trial on cirrhosis-ascites patient by the mineral pulse light stimuli on LV acupoints without any drugs use.Methods: Hepatic cirrhosis patient was stimulated by mineral pulse light stimulator (MPLS). Stimulus acupoints; LV3. LV14. SP6. The selected acupoints were stimulated by MPLS for 50~60 minutes once a day. The same method was performed on the patient for 40days without any drugs use (diuretics, Albumin, etc.).Results: After treatment, all the laboratory indicators and patient conditions were become normal.Conclusions: Cirrhosis-ascites patient was recovered by mineral pulse light stimulus on LV acupoints without any drugs use.

Background; Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents a major and steadily increasing global health challenge as the most common primary liver malignancy and leading cause of death in cirrhotic patients. The only hope for curative treatment or significant increase in life expectancy is early detection. Once patients have progressed towards end-stage HCC, effective treatment options are extremely limited on the background of a very high degree of heterogeneity in clinical presentation and outcome. Objectives; The purpose of this study is to perform clinical trial on an end-stage HCC patient by mineral pulse light stimulus on LV acupoints without any drugs use. Methods; End-stage HCC patient was stimulated by mineral pulse light stimulator (MPLS). Stimulus acupoints; LV3, LV14, SP6. The selected acupoints were stimulated by MPLS for 50~60 minutes once a day. The same method was performed on the patient for 25days and rested for 5days, and again repeated every month without any drugs use. Results; After treatment, the general patient conditions and alfa-fetoprotein level were improved and hepatoma size was decreased to 9.1×8.5cm from 11.0×9.7cm before treatment (a), and the decay areas was disappeared.Conclusions; End-stage HCC patient was improved by mineral pulse light stimulus on LV acupoints without any drugs use.

Background: The meridian-like high thermal line (MLHTL) is induced along the target meridians course after acupoints stimulus by mineral pulse light stimulator. The rising temperature is average 1.85±0.52°C. So then, what’s the inducing mechanism of MLHTL? And can search all the 14 meridians course? Objectives: The purpose of this study is to explain the inducing mechanism of MLHTL, and the searching possibility of MLHTL course and all the 14 meridians course in the human body.Methods: Inducing character of meridian-like high thermal lines were researched and analyzed. And the searching possibility of MLHTL course and all the 14 meridians course, was analyzed.Results: Inducing characteristic of MLHTL is that MLHTL is induced when acupoints are stimulated by the mineral pulse light (Hz= 1.25), and in opposite, never induced, when acupoints is stimulated by the mineral non-pulse light (Hz= 0). This result is same as meaning of the pulse light resonance circuit (pulse current circuit) at electronic engineering. And the mini atomic magnetometer (QZFM Gen-2) can search enough pulse magnetic field induced from MLHTL course. Conclusions: The meridian-like high thermal lines are induced by pulse ion current occurred along the classic meridians course, so that all the 14 meridians course can be searched by MLHTL inducing technique enough in human body.

Higher quantities of arsenic (As) in Sargassum fusiforme limit its use as a food ingredient. The present study aimed to reduce As in S. fusiforme using sequential processing involving hot water, citric acid, and fermentation. The As content in S. fusiforme of 76.18 mg/kg was reduced to 30.47 mg/kg and 24.45 mg/kg using hot water and citric acid processing, respectively. However, the As content in S. fusiforme was reduced to 9.09 mg/kg by sequential processing with hot water and citric acid. Using response surface methodology, optimal processing conditions for S. fusiforme were determined to be treatment with hot water at 60 °C for 120 min followed by treatment with 0.4% citric acid. To further reduce the As content, the processed S. fusiforme was fermented by Lactobacillus rhamnosus, and the As content was further reduced to 1.64 mg/kg. In addition, the levels of organic acids and amino acids in S. fusiforme pre- and post-fermentation were significantly altered. These results indicated that the As content in S. fusiforme could be effectively reduced using the sequential processing with hot water, citric acid, and L. rhamnosus fermentation, and the organic acid and amino acid levels were significantly altered by L. rhamnosus fermentation.
