[Objective] The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact path of technological innovation on carbon productivity, give full play to the carbon reduction and efficiency enhancement capabilities of technological innovation, and provide a reference for promoting regional high-quality development and the realization of the dual carbon goals. [Methods] Taking the Yellow River Basin and the Yangtze River Economic Belt as research regions, this study examined the influence path of technological innovation on carbon productivity and the mediation effect of digital finance by constructing a stochastic impacts by regression on population, affluence, and technology (STIRPAT) model and a mediation effect model respectively. [Results] The results show that: (1) Technological innovation of cities can improve regional carbon productivity levels, and the impact of technological innovation on carbon productivity exhibits regional heterogeneity. The impact of technological innovation on carbon productivity is stronger in the Yangtze River Economic Belt than in the Yellow River Basin. (2) Digital finance can partially mediate the impact of technological innovation on carbon productivity. Technological innovation can improve regional carbon productivity through digital finance. The mediation effect of digital finance is stronger in the Yangtze River Economic Belt than in the Yellow River Basin. (3) Improving the level of urbanization and economic development can promote the improvement of carbon productivity in the Yellow River Basin, and improving the level of urbanization and economic development and accelerating the upgrading of industrial structure can promote the improvement of carbon productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. [Conclusion] This study suggests that local governments should enhance the technological innovation capabilities of cities, promote the deep integration of digital finance and traditional industries, strengthen regional industrial technology exchange and cooperation, promote the green transformation of industries in the Yellow River Basin and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and ultimately achieve regional low-carbon and sustainable development.

Aims: To explore the association between nurse managers' paternalistic leadership and nurses' perceived workplace bullying (WPB), as well as to examine the mediating role of organizational climate in this association. Background: There is a lack of empirical evidence regarding the relationship between nurse managers' paternalistic leadership, organizational climate and nurses' perceived WPB. Clarifying this relationship is crucial to understand how paternalistic leadership influences WPB and for nursing managers to seek organizational‐level solutions to prevent it. Methods: A cross‐sectional survey was performed from 4 January to 10 February 2022, in six tertiary hospitals in mainland China. Demographic information, Paternalistic Leadership Scale, Organizational Climate Scale and Negative Acts Questionnaire‐Revised were used in the survey. Descriptive statistics, Spearman correlation analyses and a structural equation model were used for data analysis. Results: A total of 5093 valid questionnaires were collected. Moral leadership and authoritarian leadership have both direct and indirect effects on WPB through the mediating effect of organizational climate. The former is negatively related to WPB and the latter is positively related to WPB. Benevolent leadership was only negatively associated with WPB via the mediating effect of organizational climate. Conclusion: The three components of paternalistic leadership have different effects on WPB through the mediating effect of organizational climate. Nurse managers are recommended to strengthen moral leadership, balance benevolent leadership, reduce authoritarian leadership and strive to create a positive organizational climate in their efforts to mitigate WPB among nurses. Impact: This study enhanced our comprehension of the relationship between different leadership styles and WPB. Greater emphasis should be placed on moral leadership in the promotion of nursing managers and nursing leadership training programs. Tungsten and nitrogen co-doped carbon dots (W, N-CDs) with a high quantum yield of 51.08% were synthesized by a facile hydrothermal process. Doping of tungsten effectively enhanced luminescent properties of the carbon dots, and the quantum yield was increased by 10.3%. The surface composition and morphology of the synthesized W, N-CDs were characterized. W, N-CDs were employed as nanoprobes to develop a sensor for the selective and sensitive determination of Hg2+ and captopril. Under the optimal conditions, the linear response range for Hg2+ and captopril were 0.125 to 9.0 μM and 0.5 to 10 μM with detection limits of 40 nM and 300 nM, respectively. The developed sensor was successfully applied for the determination of Hg2+ in water and captopril in urine with recoveries from 95.50 to 105.50% and 96.33 to 105.13%, which demonstrates suitable accuracy and reliability. The fluorescence mechanisms of W, N-CDs toward Hg2+ and captopril were also evaluated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP) is a chronic bone metabolic disease, which often causes fractures and various complications, it causes a great social and economic burden, and it is urgent to use modern research techniques to elucidate the pathogenesis of PMOP. At the same time, because of the complex physiological and pathological interaction mechanism between osteoporosis and sarcopenia, the correlation research has become a hot topic. Ovary removal is a commonly used experimental method to study the endocrine system of female animals, and it is also the best animal model to study PMOP. In this study, the preparation of the ovariectomized rat was confirmed through the detection of vaginal smear, the level of bone formation markers, and the analysis of bone tissue morphology. Transcriptome sequencing was used to analyze the molecular mechanism of PMOP in ovariectomized rats, qRT-PCR was used to verify the key targets. Results of Micro-CT and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that the trabecular structure was disorganized and the symptoms of osteoporosis appeared, this indicating that the ovariectomized rats model was successfully prepared. Transcriptional sequencing results of femur tissue showed that 452 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened. Bioinformatics analysis results showed that the osteoporosis caused by ovariectomized rats was mainly related to muscle contraction, calcium signaling pathway, etc. Results of qRT-PCR were consistent with transcriptome analysis. These results reveal the pathogenesis of PMOP in ovariectomized rats and also offer a possibility for elucidating the relevance of action between PMOP and sarcopenia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Tibet is the main consist of the Tibetan Plateau and also inhabited by minorities in China. How to promote its road accessibility and narrow the gap between different ethnic groups should draw more attention. This study analyzes both territorial accessibility (At) and potential accessibility (Ap) in Tibet from 2010 to 2020, as well as the disparities within and between main ethnic groups, exploring whether ethnic minorities undertook the accessibility disparity or loss. The findings are as follows: (1) At and Ap are characterized by a center‐periphery structure with a remarkably improvement and spatial difference from 2010 to 2020. The disparity between counties tends to widen slightly, whereas the increment of At shows the opposite feature. (2) The Hui and Han ethnic groups enjoy better accessibility than Tibetans, and the other ethnic minorities have insufficient accessibility, though with prominent improvement. The disparity in At within ethnic groups is smaller but tends to widen; by contrast, that of Ap is larger but tends to narrow. The Hui ethnic group enjoys relative equal accessibility, which tends to be more so, while Tibetans face unequal accessibility with no obvious improvement. (3) The proportion of Tibetans is negatively correlated with the improved accessibility, but those of the other ethnic minorities are positively correlated with the increment of At, indicating that the accessibility improvement in Tibet tilts to the ethnic minorities in remote areas. The overall spatial disparities in accessibility in Tibet tend to widen, but this does not totally apply to those between and within ethnic groups. Nonetheless, the construction of transport infrastructure alone may not be able to achieve equality. Mechanical force loading is essential for maintaining bone homeostasis, and unloading exposure can lead to bone loss. Osteoclasts are the only bone resorbing cells and play a crucial role in bone remodeling. The molecular mechanisms underlying mechanical stimulation-induced changes in osteoclast function remain to be fully elucidated. Our previous research found Ca2+-activated Cl− channel Anoctamin 1 (Ano1) was an essential regulator for osteoclast function. Here, we report that Ano1 mediates osteoclast responses to mechanical stimulation. In vitro, osteoclast activities are obviously affected by mechanical stress, which is accompanied by the changes of Ano1 levels, intracellular Cl− concentration and Ca2+ downstream signaling. Ano1 knockout or calcium binding mutants blunts the response of osteoclast to mechanical stimulation. In vivo, Ano1 knockout in osteoclast blunts loading induced osteoclast inhibition and unloading induced bone loss and. These results demonstrate that Ano1 plays an important role in mechanical stimulation induced osteoclast activity changes. An essential role of the Ca2+-activated Cl− channel, Anoctamin 1, is identified in mediating the response of osteoclasts to mechanical stimulation. Ano1 knockout in osteoclasts inhibits unloading- induced osteoclast activation and unloading-induced bone loss. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
