A 40-year-old male patient with a history of dental disease was sent to the emergency room mainly for fever, unclear consciousness, and purpura. Computed tomography reveals subarachnoid hemorrhage and blood analysis reveals platelet reduction. The patient was started daily intravenous piperacillin tazobactam glucocorticoid and gamma globulin. Two weeks later, symptoms improved but still had severe complications such as fever, platelet reduction, hepatosplenic abscess, and severe myocardial injury. Subsequently, Rothia dentocariosa was cultured from the blood samples of patient's limb. The patient was started on daily injections of tigecycline and penicillin. Ten days later, symptoms improved and amikacin was tried, which was later confirmed to be ineffective in this patient. Cardiac ultrasound revealed aortic valve vegetations and magnetic resonance imaging revealed brain abscess formation. Then, antibiotics were adjusted to vancomycin and meropenem. Finally, the patient underwent valve replacement. Infectious endocarditis – after surgery, vancomycin and meropenem were utilized for a week leading to symptom resolution. The patient was transferred to rehabilitation hospital. This case will provide clinical experience for the treatment of R. dentocariosa.

Satellite-derived solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) offers valuable opportunities for monitoring large-scale ecosystem functions. However, the inherent trade-off between satellite scan range and spatial resolution, along with incomplete spatial coverage and irregular temporal sampling, limits its broader application. In this study, we developed a 500-m spatial resolution monthly SIF dataset for the China region (CNSIF) from 2003 to 2022, using a data-driven deep learning approach based on high-resolution apparent reflectance and thermal infrared data. The results indicate that CNSIF effectively captures the spatial patterns of vegetation photosynthetic activity and exhibits a positive annual growth trend of 0.054. Comparisons with tower-based observations validated the ability of CNSIF to track changes in photosynthetic intensity over time across different ecosystems. Furthermore, the strong correlation (R2_2016 = 0.768, R2_2020 = 0.743; P<0.001) between CNSIF and the MODIS monthly Gross Primary Production (GPP) product demonstrates its potential for estimating carbon flux. CNSIF's higher-resolution estimation of photosynthetic activity offers a promising tool for monitoring vegetation dynamics across China and estimating fragmented agricultural production. It enables the incorporation of ecosystem fragmentation effects into earth observation and carbon cycle systems. A polynomial-time algorithm for designing digital filters with coefficients expressable as signed power-of-two (SPT) terms is described and discussed. The algorithm depends on the fact that under some circumstances, the realization cost of a filter with SPT coefficients depends on the number of SPT terms, regardless of how the terms distribute among the coefficients.

It is well known that if each coefficient value of a digital filter is a sum of signed power-of-two (SPT) terms, the filter can be implemented without using multipliers. In the past decade, several methods have been developed for the design of filters whose coefficient values are sums of SPT terms. Most of these methods are for the design of filters where all the coefficient values have the same number of SPT terms. It has also been demonstrated recently that significant advantage can be achieved if the coefficient values are allocated with different number of SPT terms while keeping the total number of SPT terms for the filter fixed. In this paper, we present a new method for allocating the number of SPT terms to each coefficient value. In our method, the number of SPT terms allocated to a coefficient is determined by the statistical quantization step-size of that coefficient and the sensitivity of the frequency response of the filter to that coefficient. After the assignment of the SPT terms, an integer-programming algorithm is used to optimize the coefficient values. Our technique yields excellent results but does not guarantee optimum assignment of SPT terms. Nevertheless, for any particular assignment of SPT terms, the result obtained is optimum with respect to that assignment. Carbonate reservoirs in Asmari block of Missan oilfield are characterized by complex geological characteristics. Temporary plugging is commonly used for effective damage control caused by the working fluid when drilling in such complex multi-pressure reservoirs and for preventing leakage, blowout, and collapse in long open hole wells. In this paper a new temporary plugging drilling fluid formulation system is proposed, designed for the low permeability carbonate reservoir containing H2S and CO2 in the target block. The system contains a specially designed acid-soluble temporary plugging agent DSK-1 combined with HCOONa and modified biopolymer VS-A flow pattern regulator; modified starch water loss reduce agent, and DSP antioxidant. The parameters of the system, including temperature stability, resistance to formation water pollution, inhibition capacity, and stability to acids and acid gases, were evaluated in a series of experimental tests. The plugging ability was evaluated by experiments on cores received from the target block. The results showed that the plugging removal and recovery rate of the drilling fluid system was up to 86.3%, which can effectively meet the target requirements, and provide guidance and reference for the follow-up study of temporary plugging in low permeability carbonate reservoirs.
