Abstract Purpose: To investigate the short-term effects of low-level lasers (LLLs; also known as low-power laser therapy) on the structure, genetic, and phenotype of cultured human retinal pigment epithelial (hRPE) cells from both adult and neonatal sources. Methods: Cultivated adult and neonatal hRPE cells were irradiated with two types of LLL (630 nm and 780 nm), 1 min daily for five consecutive days. Results: An increase in doubling time was observed in 630 nm-irradiated adult hRPE cells (P = 0.032). The gene expression profile revealed increased expression of retinoid isomerohydrolase RPE65 (RPE65) (P < 0.01 for 630 nm laser, P < 0.001 for 780 nm laser) and nestin (NES) (P < 0.01 for 630 nm laser) in neonatal hRPE cells, upregulation of RPE65 (P < 0.001 for 780 nm laser) and paired box 6 (PAX6) (P < 0.001 for 780 nm laser) genes in adult hRPE cells, and reduced expression of actin alpha 2 (ACTA2) in 780 nm-irradiated adult hRPE cells (P < 0.001). Except the significant increase of α -SMA in 780 nm-irradiated neonatal hRPE cells, no significant change was noted in the expressions of other investigated proteins. Conclusion: Short-term irradiation of neonatal and adult hRPE cells with LLLs may induce multipotency at the transcriptional level. Irradiation of neonatal hRPE cells with LLLs can be associated with increased risk of myofibroblastic transformation; however, adult hRPE cells irradiated with the 780 nm laser have minimal risk of myofibroblastic differentiation. It seems that the 780 nm laser may be a promising option for future photobiomodulation in retinal degenerations in adults.

Background. Enterobacter cloacae (E. cloacae) is one of the most common Enterobacteriaceae causing nosocomial infections. Plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance (PMQR) determinants have been considered recently. This study evaluated the abundance of PMQR genes in strains of E. cloacae obtained from clinical samples in Kermanshah, Iran. Methods. In this descriptive cross-sectional study, after collecting 113 isolates of E. cloacae, their identity was confirmed using specific biochemical tests. After determining their drug resistance patterns using disc diffusion, the phenotypic frequency of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing isolates was measured by the double-disk synergy test (DDST) method. The isolates were examined for the presence of qnrA, qnrB, qnrS, and aac(6′)-Ib-cr genes by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay. Results. The antibiotic resistance rate of E. cloacae isolates varied from 9.7% to 60.2%; among them, 78% were multidrug-resistant (MDR). The highest quinolone resistance was observed in ESBL-producing strains of E. cloacae. The frequency of positive isolates for PMQR and ESBL was 79.6% and 57.5%, respectively. The genes aac(6′)-ib-cr (70.8%) and qnrB (38.1%) had the highest frequency among other genes. The number of isolates simultaneously carrying 2 and 3 genes was 64 and 5 isolates, respectively. Conclusion. The obtained results indicate a high degree of quinolone resistance among ESBL-producing E. cloacae strains. Nevertheless, there was a significant relationship between the PMQR gene and ESBL-positive isolates. Therefore, special attention should be paid to molecular epidemiological studies on antibiotic resistance to quinolones and beta-lactamases in these strains.

Numerous studies have only focused on vertical air channel performance, but there is still a need to perform in-depth research on the flow and heat transfer characteristics of atypical double skin façade (DSF) such as folded cases. A 2D steady-state numerical study was conducted using ANSYS-Fluent 18 to evaluate the impact of four inclination angles and fold positions on DSF thermal performance. The simulation data were compared with a typical validated vertical DSF as the base case. The folded DSFs could decrease the average cavity and surface temperature by 2.4 °C through improving natural convection. The folded cases enhanced the airflow rate up to 27% higher than the base case supporting the folded geometries for building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) DSF application.

This article presents a comprehensive review of the existing literature on the topic of data assimilation for agent-based models, with a specific emphasis on pedestrians and passengers within the context of transportation systems. This work highlights a plethora of advanced techniques that may have not been previously employed for online pedestrian simulation, and may therefore offer significant value to readers in this domain. Notably, these methods often necessitate a sophisticated understanding of mathematical principles such as linear algebra, probability theory, singular value decomposition, optimization, machine learning, and compressed sensing. Despite this complexity, this article strives to provide a nuanced explanation of these mathematical underpinnings. It is important to acknowledge that the subject matter under study is still in its nascent stages, and as such, it is highly probable that new techniques will emerge in the coming years. One potential avenue for future exploration involves the integration of machine learning with Agent-based Data Assimilation (ABDA, i.e., data assimilation methods used for agent-based models) methods.

Multifunctional nanocarriers have attracted considerable interest in improving cancer treatment outcomes. Poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) nanospheres encapsulating copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO-NPs) are characterized by antitumor activity and exhibit dual-modal contrast-enhancing capabilities. An in vitro evaluation demonstrates that this delivery system allows controlled and sustained release of CuO-NPs. To achieve localized release on demand, an external stimulation by laser irradiation is suggested. Furthermore, to enable simultaneous complementary photothermal therapy, polydopamine (PDA) coating for augmented laser absorption is proposed. To this aim, two formulations of CuO-NPs loaded nanospheres are prepared from PLGA polymers RG-504 H (H-PLGA) and RG-502 H (L-PLGA) as scaffolds for surface modification through in situ polymerization of dopamine and then PEGylation. The obtained CuO-NPs-based multifunctional nanocarriers are characterized, and photothermal effects are examined as a function of wavelength and time. The results show that 808 nm laser irradiation of the coated nanospheres yields maximal temperature elevation (T = 41°C) and stimulates copper release at a much faster rate compared to non-irradiated formulations. Laser-triggered CuO-NP release is mainly depended on the PLGA core, resulting in faster release with L-PLGA, which also yielded potent anti-tumor efficacy in head and neck cancer cell line (Cal-33). In conclusion, the suggested multifunctional nanoplatform offers the integrated benefits of diagnostic imaging and laser-induced drug release combined with thermal therapy.

The accurate prediction of the visual comfort zone in an indoor environment is difficult as it depends on many parameters. This is especially the case for large compact urban areas in which the density and shadow from neighboring buildings can limit the accessible daylighting in indoor spaces. This paper investigates the satisfaction range for illuminance regarding indoor air temperature in office buildings and the significant parameters affecting this range in six office buildings in Tehran, Iran. Lighting comfort has been evaluated by a subjective survey (509 total responses) and field measurement. The questionnaires were filled out in 146 and 109 rooms in summer and winter, respectively. The results show that the illuminance should not be less than 550 lx, while illuminance between 600 and 650 lx provides the highest satisfaction level. The satisfaction with lighting level is affected by individual parameters such as age, type of activity, and environmental parameters such as window orientation, external obscurations, and season. A relationship was observed between lighting level satisfaction and thermal condition acceptance, and the overall comfort depends more on thermal conditions than the lighting level.

This experimental study aimed to characterize the thermal properties of ex vivo porcine and bovine kidney tissues in steady-state heat transfer conditions in a wider thermal interval (23.2–92.8 °C) compared to previous investigations limited to 45 °C. Thermal properties, namely thermal conductivity (k) and thermal diffusivity (α), were measured in a temperature-controlled environment using a dual-needle probe connected to a commercial thermal property analyzer, using the transient hot-wire technique. The estimation of measurement uncertainty was performed along with the assessment of regression models describing the trend of measured quantities as a function of temperature to be used in simulations involving heat transfer in kidney tissue. A direct comparison of the thermal properties of the same tissue from two different species, i.e., porcine and bovine kidney tissues, with the same experimental transient hot-wire technique, was conducted to provide indications on the possible inter-species variabilities of k and α at different selected temperatures. Exponential fitting curves were selected to interpolate the measured values for both porcine and bovine kidney tissues, for both k and α. The results show that the k and α values of the tissues remained rather constant from room temperature up to the onset of water evaporation, and a more marked increase was observed afterward. Indeed, at the highest investigated temperatures, i.e., 90.0–92.8 °C, the average k values were subject to 1.2- and 1.3-fold increases, compared to their nominal values at room temperature, in porcine and bovine kidney tissue, respectively. Moreover, at 90.0–92.8 °C, 1.4- and 1.2-fold increases in the average values of α, compared to baseline values, were observed for porcine and bovine kidney tissue, respectively. No statistically significant differences were found between the thermal properties of porcine and bovine kidney tissues at the same selected tissue temperatures despite their anatomical and structural differences. The provided quantitative values and best-fit regression models can be used to enhance the accuracy of the prediction capability of numerical models of thermal therapies. Furthermore, this study may provide insights into the refinement of protocols for the realization of tissue-mimicking phantoms and the choice of tissue models for bioheat transfer studies in experimental laboratories.

The construction industry has one of the highest fatality and injury rates, highlighting the urgent need for research to reduce work-related injuries and fatalities. Given the complex nature of construction teams operating at different project levels, teamwork processes are crucial for ensuring construction safety. However, a comprehensive examination of teamwork processes concerning construction safety is lacking. Contemporary construction literature has a primary focus on a few key team-level factors. This study addresses this research gap by conducting a more holistic literature review, benchmarking knowledge from other industries, and proposing a framework specific to construction safety. The proposed framework integrates insights from team science and construction safety science, taking into consideration the industry’s complex team structure and dynamic nature. This study contributes to the improvement of safety outcomes in the construction industry by enhancing the understanding of teamwork processes’ impact on construction safety. The findings have practical implications for enhancing safety performance and reducing injuries and fatalities among construction workers.

This paper presents a fully-decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) electricity and gas market for retailers and prosumers with coupled energy units, considering the uncertainties of wholesale electricity market price and prosumers’ demand. The goal is to improve the overall economy of the proposed market while increasing its flexibility. In this market, the retailers are equipped with self-generation and energy storage units and can bilaterally negotiate for electricity and gas transactions with prosumers to maximize their profit. Furthermore, they can sell power to the upstream market in addition to prosumers. The prosumers have access to several retailers to supply their required electricity and gas and can freely provide their energy needs from every retailer, contributing to dynamicity in the proposed market. Given that they have an energy hub consisting of boiler units, combined heat and electricity (CHP) units, and electric pumps, they can switch their energy supply source from electricity to gas and vice versa. A robust possibilistic programming approach is applied to address the uncertainties. A fully-decentralized approach called the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) is utilized to solve the presented decentralized robust problem. The proposed decentralized algorithm finds an optimum solution by establishing a smart balance between the average expected value, optimality robustness, and feasibility robustness. The feasibility and competitiveness of the proposed approach are evaluated through numerical studies on a distribution system with two retailers and three prosumers. The data analysis of the simulation results verifies the effectiveness of the proposed decentralized robust framework as well as the proposed decentralized solution. According to the maximum deviation, the expected optimal value in the robust case, the retailer’s profit has decreased by 12.1 percent, and the prosumers’ cost has increased by 27.4 percent due to the feasibility penalty term.

Introduction: Carbapenem Resistant Acinetobacter Baumannii (CRAB) is a dangerous nosocomial pathogen that can cause high mortality in patients. This bacterium has a remarkable ability to acquire various resistance mechanisms due to this it is considered as one of the health priorities. Aim: To investigate the prevalence of the OXA-23, OXA-24, and OXA-58 genes in Acinetobacter baumannii isolates collected from burn wound samples in Kermanshah, Iran. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was done during 11 months period from December 2018 to October 2019, 74 A. baumannii isolates were collected from those admitted to the Burns Unit of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Kermanshah, Iran. The 74 A. baumannii isolates were detected using particular bacteriological methods. Following determination of the antibiotic sensitivity of the specimens using the disk diffusion technique, polymerase chain reaction was performed to determine the frequency of the OXA-23, OXA-24, and OXA-58 genes using their specific primers. In recent years, the advent of microgrids with numerous renewable energy sources has created some fundamental challenges in the control, coordination, and management of energy trading between microgrids and the power grid. To respond to these challenges, some techniques such as the transactive energy (TE) technology are proposed to control energy sharing. Therefore, this paper uses TE technology for energy exchange control among the microgrids, and applies three operation cases for analyzing the energy trading control of four and ten microgrids with the aim of minimizing the energy cost of each microgrid, respectively. In this regard, Monte Carlo simulation and fast forward selection (FFS) methods are respectively exerted for scenario generation and reduction in uncertainty modeling process. The first case is assumed that all microgrids can only receive energy from the network and do not have any connection with each other. In order to maximize the energy cost saving of each microgrid, the second case is proposed to provide a positive percentage of cost saving for microgrids. All microgrids can also trade energy with each other to get the most benefit by reducing the dependency on the main grid. The third case is similar to the second case, but its target is to indicate the scalability of the models based on the proposed TE technology by considering ten commercial microgrids. Finally, the simulation results indicate that microgrids can achieve the positive amount of cost saving in the second and third cases. In addition, the total energy cost of microgrids has been reduced in comparison with the first case.

Background and Objective: Academic achievement and study of the factors that affecting it are important issues in educational settings, and in several studies, the role of metacognitive self-regulation in the academic achievement of students has been mentioned. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of meta-cognitive self-regulation in academic achievement among students. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was done among 323 college students in Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, during 2017. Data collection was based on the self-report questionnaire including demographic and metacognitive self-regulation scale from Pintrich et al. Data were analyzed by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 using t-test, Pearson correlation at 5% significant level. Results: The mean age of respondents 22.78 years (SD: 247), ranged from 18 to 29 years. The students achieved 65.79% of the maximum obtainable score for meta-cognitive self-regulation. The significant correlation indicated between the meta-cognitive self-regulation and academic achievement (r=0.306 and P < 0.001). The background variables accounted for 14% of the variation in the outcome measure of the meta-cognitive self-regulation which the mother education (β=0.278) and age (β=0.226) were major factors. Conclusion: It seems that emphasis on planning meta-cognitive self-regulation promotion programs could be useful in affecting academic achievement among college students.

A change in thinking has been ongoing in the architecture and building industry in response to growing concern over the role of the building industry in the excessive consumption of energy and its devastating effects on the natural environment. This shift changed the thinking of architects, engineers, and designers in the initial phases of a building’s design, with a change from the importance of geometry and form to assessing a building’s performance, from structure to a building’s skin, and from abstract aesthetics to bio-climatic aesthetics. In this context, sustainable, intelligent, and adaptive building façades were extensively researched and developed. Consequently, several typologies, strategies, and conceptual design frameworks for adaptive façades were developed with the aim of performing certain functions. This study focuses on the biomimetic methodologies developed to design adaptive façades because of their efficiency compared to other typologies. A comprehensive literature review is performed to review the design approaches toward those façades at the early stage of design. Then, the theoretical bases for three biomimetic frameworks are presented to gain an overall understanding of the concepts, opportunities, and limitations.

Many efforts have recently concentrated on constructing and developing nanoparticles (NPs) as promising thermal agent for optical hyperthermia and photothermal therapy. However, thermal energy transfer in biological tissue is a complex process involving different mechanisms such as conduction, convection, radiation. Therefore, having information about thermal properties of tissue especially when NPs are embedded in is a necessity for predicting the heat transfer during hyperthermia. In this work, the thermal properties of solid phantom based on agar in the presence of three different nanoparticles (BPSi, tNAs, GNRs) and alone were measured and reported as a function of temperature (ranging from 22 to 62 °C). The thermal response of these NPs to an 808 nm laser beam with three different powers were studied in the water comparatively. Agar and tNAs have almost constant thermal properties in the considered range. Among the three NPs, gold has the highest conductivity and diffusivity. At 62 °C BPSi NPs have the similar amount of increase for the diffusivity. The thermal parameters reported in this paper can be useful for the mathematical modeling. Irradiation of the NPs-loaded water phantom displayed the highest radiosensitivity of gold among the three mentioned NPs. However, for the higher power of irradiation, BPSi and tNAs NPs showed the increased absorption of heat during shorter time and the increased temperature gradient slope for the initial 15 s after the irradiation started. The three NPs showed different thermal and irradiation response behavior; however, this comparison study notes the worth of having information about thermal parameters of NPs-loaded tissue for pre-clinical planning.

Evaluation is a principle of educational processes Comprehensive examination is one of evaluation types that is recently considered in undergraduate nursing, but its structure has not been specified and universities are responsible for examining it. The aim of this study is to design a comprehensive and practical test for undergraduate nursing students. Methods: This modified classic Delphi method was conducted in two stages in 2016. The participants were academics of the nursing and midwife school, educational supervisors, head nurses, nurses and students of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. Thirty six participants were selected based on major purpose. The first part was designed in order to extract indexes and components of comprehensive examination by literature review and deep interviews after a comprehensive examination was codified in three rounds (face to face and online). The collected data were analyzed based on the percentage of agreement and IQR methods. Result: In this study, the framework of the comprehensive test was codified based on four sections including content, assessment methods, holding conditions of exam and acceptance criteria. Content was included adult and elderly nursing courses, pediatric nursing, maternal and child health, family health nursing, psychiatry and ethics. The OSCE and DOPS methods were determined as the most appropriate method for evaluating clinical skills. Passing mark was considered 14/20. In addition, other criteria for acceptance and rejection, appropriate examination centers, duration, execution time and implementation team. Conclusion: Indices comprehensive test have been adjusted according to the perspectives of nursing and education experts, global trends and local conditions can be used for the nursing and midwife School in order to facilitate accessing desired goals in this evaluation. Daylight variability throughout the day makes it an ideal light source for the stimulation of humans’ circadian systems. However, the key criteria, including proper quantity, quality, and hours of access to daylight, are not always present inside the built environment. Therefore, artificial light is necessary to complement the human’s visual and non-visual needs for light. Architectural design parameters, such as window area, orientation, glazing material, and surface reflectance alter the characteristics of both daylight and artificial light inside buildings. These parameters and their impact on lighting design should be considered from the early design stages to attain a circadian-effective design. In response to this need, a design approach called Human-Centric Lighting (HCL) was introduced. HCL places humans, and their visual and non-visual needs, in the center of the design process. It manipulates the light-related factors, such as spectrum and intensity, within the built environment for circadian benefits. The effect of HCL on lighting energy efficiency is still not clear. This paper reviews essential architectural design parameters and their impacts on circadian lighting design, considers the HCL design process and explores the most widely used circadian lighting metrics and standards.

The ability to predict heat transfer during hyperthermal and ablative techniques for cancer treatment relies on understanding the thermal properties of biological tissue. In this work, the thermal properties of ex vivo liver, pancreas and brain tissues are reported as a function of temperature. The thermal diffusivity, thermal conductivity and volumetric heat capacity of these tissues were measured in the temperature range from 22 to around 97 °C. Concerning the pancreas, a phase change occurred around 45 °C; therefore, its thermal properties were investigated only until this temperature. Results indicate that the thermal properties of the liver and brain have a non-linear relationship with temperature in the investigated range. In these tissues, the thermal properties were almost constant until 60 to 70 °C and then gradually changed until 92 °C. In particular, the thermal conductivity increased by 100% for the brain and 60% for the liver up to 92 °C, while thermal diffusivity increased by 90% and 40%, respectively. However, the heat capacity did not significantly change in this temperature range. The thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity were dramatically increased from 92 to 97 °C, which seems to be due to water vaporization and state transition in the tissues. Moreover, the measurement uncertainty, determined at each temperature, increased after 92 °C. In the temperature range of 22 to 45 °C, the thermal properties of pancreatic tissue did not change significantly, in accordance with the results for the brain and liver. For the three tissues, the best fit curves are provided with regression analysis based on measured data to predict the tissue thermal behavior. These curves describe the temperature dependency of tissue thermal properties in a temperature range relevant for hyperthermia and ablation treatments and may help in constructing more accurate models of bioheat transfer for optimization and pre-planning of thermal procedures.

Though Building Information Modeling (BIM) has been proposed as a lean solution for the construction industry, its implementation would itself benefit from a proactive lean approach. This paper aims to study the implementation of BIM in Facilities Management (FM), and explores the synergistic potential of a lean approach. This was carried out through an integrative review of existing literature. BIM-FM implementation was categorized into three phases, which were analyzed to uncover the challenges and barriers faced in each; and explore the potential of a proactive lean approach to counter them. A number of key findings emerged. The existence of inefficiencies and variability in information management leading to an increase in labor hours was identified as a persistent problem in BIM-FM implementation. This had been derived by systematically mapping the challenges to their resultant effects on business processes based on the seven identified wastes in business. The paper provides both academics and practitioners with a collated list of issues based on a new way of examining BIM in FM implementation. It discusses the need for and synergistic potential of lean concepts to reduce information and time waste.

Introduction: In this paper, by complete definition of human eye containing the various parts and their materials, the difference between this model and a homogeneous water phantom are compared for two ophthalmic plaques using 125I and 103Pd. Material and methods: The simulation of the two phantoms were performed in the MCNP-4C code and by using the geometry of a three-dimensional eye, different parts of the eye including the lens, cornea, retina, choroid, sclera, anterior chamber, optic nerve and tumor were defined in the eye phantom. Also, for two ophthalmic brachytherapy sources, 20 mm COMS plaques containing 24 125I or 103Pd sources were simulated. The depth dose and doses in different parts of the eye were calculated by using the *F8 tally in the MCNP code. Results: The results showed that the doses in different parts of the eye in the two phantoms were different and depended on the ophthalmic plaques. The dose increased in the tumor and decreased in some parts of the eye such as the lens. Discussion and Conclusion: Complete definition of human eye in simulation of ophthalmic brachytherapy leads to better results. As the effects of eye definition are different in the tumor and healthy tissues, the results for the eye phantom provide more accurate information for calculation of treatment time and the type of ophthalmic brachytherapy used.

Short-term hydro-thermal scheduling aims to obtain optimal generation scheduling of hydro and thermal units for a one-day or a one-week scheduling time horizon. The main goal of the problem is to minimize total operational cost considering a series of equality and inequality constraints. The problem is considered as a non-linear and complex problem involving the valve-point loading effect of conventional thermal units, the water transport delay between connected reservoirs, and transmission loss with a set of equality and inequality constraints such as power balance, water dynamic balance, water discharge, initial and end reservoir storage volume, reservoir volume limits and the operation limits of hydro and thermal plants. A solution methodology to the short-term hydro-thermal scheduling problem with continuous and non-smooth/non-convex cost function is introduced in this research applying dynamic non-linear programming. In this study, the proposed approach is applied to two test systems with different characteristics. The simulation results obtained in this paper are compared with those reported in recent research studies, which show the effectiveness of the presented technique in terms of total operational cost. In addition, the obtained results ensure the capability of the proposed optimization procedure for solving short-term hydro-thermal scheduling problem with transmission losses and valve-point effects.

A major bottleneck limiting the commercialization of aqueous zinc ion batteries (AZIBs) is dendrite formation on the zinc (Zn) anode during the plating/stripping process, which leads to rapid deterioration in performance and, consequently to the device failure. In this regard, researchers are trying to design more stable anodes toward suppressing dendrite formation. One possible solution to tackle this problem and to extend the cycling life of AZIBs is to modify the zinc anode surface by coating carbonaceous materials, enabling more controlled charge flux and uniform ion distribution. This work reports sustainable and bio‐derived polylactic acid (PLA) as a coating layer on the zinc anode. Carbonizing this polymer under ambient conditions using a high‐power nanosecond laser forms a carbon‐coated zinc foil, which was directly utilized as the anode in aqueous zinc ion batteries. The fabricated laser‐processed PLA‐derived carbon‐coated zinc anode demonstrated an extended cycling life of almost 1600 hours, significantly outperforming the bare zinc anode. A full aqueous zinc ion battery assembled from as‐modified anode and as‐prepared V2O5 nanofibers as cathode was able to deliver a specific capacity of 238 mAh g−1 at 1.0 A g−1 with a capacity retention of 70 % after 1000 cycles. CaCO3 coating was applied to the surface of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 (CZF) nanoparticles by chemical co-precipitation method. CaCO3-coated CZF(CC@CZF) and bare CZF nanoparticles have been characterized by spectroscopy and microscopy techniques. XRD patterns indicate the pure cubic spinel structure of CZF nanoparticles and the growth of CaCO3 layer on the nanoparticle’s surface. The spherical shape and the size distribution of the nanoparticles were assessed to be ~ 30 nm before coating and ~ 60 nm after surface functionalization and confirmed by the FESEM microscopy technique. The magnetic characteristics of samples were investigated using the vibrating sample magnetometer technique, which revealed a drop in saturation magnetization from 45 to 32 emu/g. So, coated nanoparticles performed effectively as drug transporters under both normal and magnetic field circumstances. Hydrodynamic diameters of CZF nanoparticles are ~ 726 nm and decrease to ~ 370 nm due to the surface functionalization and cause reducing particle aggregation. An MTT test was used to assess the dose-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and viability of normal human skin cells (HSF 1184), which revealed that CC@CZF nanoparticles are less harmful than bare nanoparticles.
