Информационная система управления проектами обеспечивает поддержку процессов управления проектами, а также сбор, обобщение и распространение информации по проекту. Информационная система управления проектами применяется в зависимости от нужд и ситуации в конкретном проекте, чтобы обеспечить обобщение, обработку и отображение актуальной информации по проекту. Использование конфигурационного подхода в информационных системах управления проектами обеспечивает стандартизированный процесс в применении информационных систем управления проектами для нужд конкретного проекта. Однако актуальная информация по проекту изменяется, в том числе, в зависимости от роли каждого пользователя и текущей фазы проекта. Таким образом, цель статьи приспособить конфигурационный подход в информационных системах управления проектами, чтобы обеспечить описание и поддержку требований конфигурации в зависимости от ролей и фаз проекта. Чтобы обеспечить описание конфигурационных требований в зависимости от ролей и фаз проекта, описание XML схемы конфигурации информационных систем управления проектами (XCPM) дополнено элементами, которые обеспечивают: 1) задание ролей и фаз субъектам данных; 2) задание фаз для процессов и 3) задание условий идентификации последовательностей и изменения фаз жизненного цикла проекта. Конфигурационный подход в информационных системах управления проектами дополнен новым действием - переконфигурацией, которая проводится в начале каждой фазы. Во время переконфигурации выполняются трансформации, которые обеспечивают замену доступа к субъектам данных и их процессам в соответствии с требованиями, заданными для конкретной фазы. Использование конфигурации информационных систем управления проектами, зависящей от фаз проекта, обеспечивает пользователю доступ только к тем данным, которые ему необходимы в конкретной фазе проекта, точно также применяются и процессы обработки данных.

Gamification methodology has a positive impact on software development (SD) processes, contributes to better product quality production and team involvement. To show how gamification can be used to motivate the SD project team to carry out daily routine activities and document it in PM tool the gamification framework is proposed in this paper. With this gamification framework is also tried to solve project manager challenge to get actual information in PM tool entered by the project team for correct reporting of project status and process overview. A prototype of a gaming tool has been developed, which is based on Jira's app functionality and is implemented as a plugin.

A project management methodology that defines basic processes, tools, techniques, methods, resources and procedures used to manage a project is necessary for effective and successful IT project management. Each company needs to define its own methodology or adapt some of the existing ones. The purpose of the research is to evaluate the possibilities of adapting IT project development methodology according to the company, company employee characteristics and their mutual relations. The adaptation process will be illustrated with a case study at an IT company in Latvia where the developed methodology is based on Agile Scrum, one of the most widespread Agile methods.

Software development projects in government institutions have certain characteristics that can negatively impact the management process of these projects. However, the negative impact of these characteristics can be decreased by using the appropriate software development project lifecycle model, because it ensures more comprehensive and effective project management. The methodology for selecting the most appropriate model for software development projects in government institutions, where outsourcing is used, is elaborated. The impact of the characteristics of software development projects in government institutions on project execution and management process is analysed. The methodology is elaborated taking into account these characteristics and ensures that the appropriate model is selected.

Project management information system (PMIS) is one of the main enablers of successful project management. Project management and document centralization are diverting large amounts of energy when working on collaborative projects with academic institutions, private enterprises and government organizations. Each of these organizations include different user roles with different interests for the project, project management practices and requirements for PMIS. Therefore PMIS should be adapted to the needs and requirements of these collaborative projects and users. The objective of this paper is to define functional needs and describe the configuration for PMIS, suitable for common business, educational and research projects based on literature review and assessment of needs. The platform for business and education project (BEP) management of is an online PMIS that will support defined functional needs and configuration.

Project management information systems (PMIS) and quality management system (QMS) are two components in the project oriented organization that helps to achieve required quality of the project product. QMS define quality framework and PMIS helps to ensure quality framework requirement related to the projects. The objective of paper is to evaluate and demonstrate PMIS options for efficiency QMS development and maintenance. QMS requirements are identified according to ISO 9001:2008 standard and PMIS options of efficiency improvement are evaluated according to ISO 9004:2009 self-assessment tool.

Enterprise applications are aimed at managing en- terprise operational data and improving business efficiency. Many enterprise applications have been developed over the past three decades, therefore, known as legacy systems. Usually, they are monolith, inflexible, poorly documented and hard to main- tain. The purpose of this paper is to describe best practices and limitations for enterprise application decomposition based on the results of the systematic literature review in order to introduce an approach for enterprise application decomposition. The paper focuses on decomposition of large-scale systems using clustering methods. The investigation is performed as part of the university- industry collaboration research project.

The necessity of finding the connection between the planning, decision making, actions and results create project management interest to an evaluation of the project team performance. By analyzing the team performance, determining successful projects and assessing results, members of such project will have the necessary information to avoid failures, to monitor the progress, to compare similar projects and move to defined goals. The objective of this paper is to provide guidelines for evaluation of the project team performance in the software development project. This paper summarizes measures for evaluation of the team performance, an evaluation objectives and it benefits as well as factors that may have an influence on the team performance. Demonstration example of the guideline usage has been provided.

Project management knowledge contains a wide range of information that can be accumulated from theory and practice. This knowledge is not always readily available to project manager and that can leave a significant impact on project management efficiency and success. Therefore, this knowledge is necessary to store in the project management knowledge repository and then to retrieve it when necessary. To find this knowledge it is necessary to define attributes for searching relevant projects and knowledge associated with these projects. The objective of this paper is to develop a set of project classification attributes that can be used to describe project characteristics and use them in similarity definition. The project classification attributes are defined as a part of the architecture of project management knowledge retrieval. They are identified by analyzing several project management methodologies and are validated by classifying twenty two empirical information technology projects.
