The development of web technologies has led to the availability of various multimedia content on the web. In addition to text, images, and videos, transitions, animations and interactivity are increasingly used. Transitions and animations present the content on the page in more interesting, attractive ways and can attract and retain users longer, improving the measurable parameters of page visits as well as the user experience. Animations on the web can be created in many ways. And if the animations are not executed well, they can slow down the page. The goal of this article is to compare the measurable parameters of animations created with different technologies. HTML, CSS, SVG, P5js, WebGL technologies and animations created with a 3D modeling tool were used. The article uses two different examples of animations created with different technologies and then tested on several devices.

Visual perception of a web banner depends on different parameters. Webpage template configuration and web banner position are important parameters that can affect the banner visibility. This paper aims to determine the impact of a web banner position on the banner visibility and webpage user experience. Research was conducted by using an eye tracking technology. Four webpage templates were created for two groups of respondents. Webpage templates were based on a news portal wireframe and six different banners. Each respondent was exposed to the same set of four different web banners on left and right positions, but their placement on the webpage was changed for each group of respondents, while template complexity remained the same. Two other banners placed on the top position remained the same for both groups, since the emphasis is on evaluation of left and right web banner positions. Research results indicate that the web banner on the left position is noticed before the web banner on the right position. Although the web banner on the left position is noticed before, the web banner on the right position is on average viewed for a longer time. The analysis of a different web banner positions provides guidelines for web designers to improve web banner visibility and overall webpage user experience.

Studying the importance of the color and shape perception with peripheral vision on the screen has an important role in digital design to provide designers with guidelines for better performance that will contribute to more functional user interfaces. In this paper, we have explored how user experience is affected by moving elements in the peripheral part of the screen, in correlation with other physical parameters that describe their movement. It is known that the motion of the object greatly increases its perception. This paper examines the influence of color, complexity of shape, speed and motion direction of shapes and other parameters on the perception of moving objects by peripheral vision. The attention of the examinees was focused on the central part of the screen by doing three types of tests. During the test, in the area of peripheral vision, moving elements were randomly generated which influenced the attentions of the examinees while testing the response rate and the quality of their perception. The expected preliminary results of peripheral perception studies confirm that numerous parameters such as color, position, shape, and speed of graphic elements affect their peripheral perception.

Everyday use of modern technologies implies the need for an optimization of readability and legibility parameters used for the reading of text on screen. A lot of research on readability and legibility in printed materials and digital media has been conducted. It has been noted that the rules for the optimal readability and legibility do not apply equally to both mediums. The choice of proper typeface and font size, foreground and background colour, line spacing, sentence length, and text difficulty have the biggest role in text legibility. There is a tendency in our speaking area to read black text on a white background, which is a standard colour combination in printed materials. Furthermore, many studies have concluded that the above mentioned colour combination is one of the best when it comes to achieving optimal text readability and legibility. The purpose of this study was to test the readability and legibility of text on a computer screen by taking into consideration the different colour combinations of text and background. The factors listed above were used to define the text sample. In this research, for each of the five groups tested, the colour of the text and background were varied, while the content and other parameters of the text sample were constant.
