The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of canine leishmaniasis in the Atlas shepherd dogs from the Tiaret region of Algeria. A total of 161 dogs were included in this study and four diagnostic techniques were used, namely lymph node cytology, PCR, IFAT and ELISA. 110 out of 161 dogs were positive by at least one diagnostic technique, a percentage of 68.32% of the total number, which represent very high prevalence of canine leishmaniasis in this canine breed. 152 dogs underwent the two serological tests namely IFAT and ELISA among which 137 dogs underwent in addition the molecular examination by PCR. IFAT was positive in 9.86% of the dogs, ELISA was positive in 12.5% while 68% of the dogs proved positive by PCR. 47 dogs with lymph node enlargement underwent lymph node cytology, of which 26 dogs showed forms of amastigotes in their smears after microscopic examination, confirming the usefulness of this approach for the diagnosis of canine leishmaniasis. The clinical signs of the disease in this breed are similar to those of other canine breeds The dominant clinical signs in these dogs were onychogryphosis, poor general condition and lymph node hypertrophy. The autopsy was carried out on 7 dogs that died of canine leishmaniasis, all of which showed splenomegaly, while 5 dogs also showed hepatomegaly. Renal damage was found in 1 dog with frank jaundice. The splenic cytology was positive in all 7 dogs with the presence of amastigote forms in the smears after microscopic examination.

International audience; Edge caching is one of the most emerging technologies recognized as a content retrieval solution in the edge of the network. It has been also considered as enabling technology of mobile edge computing (MEC) that presents an interesting opportunity to perform caching services. Particularly, the MEC servers are implemented directly at the base stations (BSs) which enable edge caching and ensure deployment in close-proximity to the mobile users. However, the integration of servers in mobile edge computing environment (base stations) complicates the energy saving issue because the power consumed by mobile edge computing servers (MECS) is costly especially when the load changes dynamically over time. Furthermore, users with mobile devices arise their demands, introducing the challenge of handling such mobile content requests beside the limited caching size. Thus, it is necessary and crucial for caching mechanisms to consider the mentioned factors, meanwhile most existing studies focus on cache allocation, content popularity and cache design. In this paper, we present an energy-efficient fuzzy caching strategy for edge devices that takes into consideration four influencing features of mobile environment, while introducing a hardware implementation using Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) to cut the overall energy requirements.

Eight atlas shepherd bitch tow years old and weighing between 14 and 16 kg have received a heat induction treatment with bromocriptine (Parlodel® 2.5 mg Breakable tablet Box of 30 tablets). The dosage adapted for the dog was 1.25 mg/15 kg body weight per day for a heat induction. The heats were followed from the 5th day of proestrus and during estrus to the canine clinical pathology of veterinary institute Ibn Khaldoun University of Tiaret between January 2014 and January 2015. For the diagnosis of ovulation the vaginal smears and ultrasound of the ovaries were combined with the proportioning of progesterone. No structural anomaly of ovaries and no genital infection were observed on clinical examination. The aim of this study is: To answer the question: Can Bromocriptine treatment induce ovulatory heat? All bitches (8/8) showed vulvar loss between day 21 and day 40 of Bromocriptine treatment. 89% (7/8) bitches exhibited a significant positive chronological evolution between the progesterone blood level and eosinophilic index and diameter of ovaries in. The ovarian diameter in 100% (8/8) bitches was 19 +/- 2.07 mm at the moment of ovulation.
