Značná pozornost byla věnována výzkumu fyzikálních prekonceptů u dětí základních škol. Teoretické ukotvení termínu prekoncept je však často nedostatečné a běžně používané výzkumné techniky nezohledňují v mnoha případech komplexitu tohoto fenoménu. V této studii představujeme komplexní výzkumný přístup založený na chápání prekonceptu jako dispozice. Problematické úlohy z mezinárodního šetření TIMSS zaměřeného na žáky 4. tříd jsme identifikovali na základě jasných kritérií. Celkem bylo jako problematické označeno 11 úloh s výběrem z 97 analyzovaných úloh, které se nejčastěji týkaly konceptů teplo a přenos tepla (4 úlohy), skupenství (2 úlohy) a gravitace (2 úlohy). Kromě toho byl proveden další výzkum mezi 100 středoškolskými studenty ve věku 15-17 let za použití stejných úloh, aby bylo možné pochopit, jak učení fyziky ovlivnilo identifikované prekoncepty. Shromáždili jsme také data od studentů, kteří výše uvedené koncepty studovali v rámci distančního vzdělávání. Je tak možné porovnávat výsledky (ovlivněné prekoncepty) z distančního a nedistančního vzdělávání. Zjistili jsme, že některé nesprávné předsudky se během výuky fyziky daří napravit, jiné však u značného počtu žáků přetrvávají. Může to mít významné důsledky pro efektivitu výuky fyziky na vyšším stupni, protože učitelé neočekávají takový rozsah zásadního nepochopení mezi studenty. Další výzkum zaměřený na identifikaci těchto nesprávných předsudků a způsoby, jak je v praxi překonat, je proto velmi potřebný. Significant attention has been devoted to research of the physics preconceptions among primary school children. However, the theoretical anchoring of the tenn preconcept is often insufficient and commonly used research techniques do not take into consideration the complexity of this phenomenon in many cases. In this study, we present a complex research approach based on the understanding of preconception as disposition. We identified problematical tasks from the TIMSS international survey focusing on 4th grade pupils based on clear criteria. In total, 11 multiple-choice tasks out of 97 analysed were identified as problematical which were most frequently related to the concepts of heat and heat transfer (4 tasks), state of matter (2 tasks) and gravitation (2 tasks). Moreover, an additional survey of 100 high school students aged 15-17 years were carried out using the same tasks in order to understand how physics learning has affected the identified preconceptions. We have also gathered data from students who studied beforementioned concepts in distance learning. Thus, it is possible to compare results (affected preconceptions) from distance and non-distance education. We have found that some of the incorrect preconceptions are corrected during the physics learning but other persist among significant number of pupils. It may have significant consequences for the effectivity of physics teaching at higher stage because of teachers do not expect such extent of fundamental misunderstanding among students. Further research focusing on identification of such incorrect preconceptions and ways how to overcome them in practice is thus highly needed.

This study is focused on identification of factors affecting the effectiveness of pandemic distance learning both on the side of students and teachers. The attention is devoted also to prevalence and perceived usefulness of the individual distance learning approaches and activities. We recruited 35 teachers of Czech language, German language, geography, mathematics, physics (seven per each subject). Questionnaires for teachers and students were developed on the basis of focus groups held with the teachers and an extensive literature search. 70 classes (two per each teacher) and more than 1400 students participated in the research. We found that preference to the online communication and attitudes towards distance learning among students are predictors of the effectiveness of distance learning. Sufficiently developed executive functions were also important for its managing. The perceived usefulness of individual activities by teachers and students strongly correlated with the prevalence of these activities during distance learning and the conventional approaches such as explanation of the learning content by teacher with shared screen were assessed as more useful than activities requiring higher level of activization of students (e.g. long-term project, group presentation). The findings presented here are a starting point for more in-depth going data analysis leading at the end to an onlineavailable screening tool which should help teachers to identify students who are in danger of lowered effectiveness during the distance learning.

Značná pozornost byla věnována nucenému přechodu na distanční vzdělávání v důsledku pandemie COVID-19. Některé aspekty této problematiky, které jsou pro praxi velmi důležité, jsou však stále nedostatečně prozkoumány. Cílem této studie je popsat vývoj on-line dostupného screeningového nástroje, který by mohl učitelům pomoci identifikovat studenty ohrožené sníženou efektivitou při distančním vzdělávání a také zvolit vhodný způsob výuky pro danou třídu. Byl proveden komplexní výzkum, kterého se zúčastnilo 35 učitelů českého jazyka, německého jazyka, matematiky, fyziky a zeměpisu a více než 1400 jejich studentů ze 70 tříd. V prvním kroku jsme identifikovali, které z více než 100 potenciálně relevantních proměnných mají prediktivní hodnotu pro efektivitu distančního vzdělávání. Následně byla vyvinuta řada multilineárních regresních modelů umožňujících kvantifikovat vliv jednotlivých proměnných na efektivitu a vnímanou užitečnost distančního vzdělávání. Moderační analýza byla použita k modelování toho, jak vhodné jsou synchronní a asynchronní aktivity založené na aktivním učení pro třídy s různými charakteristikami. Na základě výsledků modelů se vyvíjí jednoduchý screeningový nástroj, který učitelům pomůže přizpůsobit jejich přístup a strategii. Significant attention has been devoted to the forced switch to distance learning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, some aspects of this issue that are very important for practice are still understudied. The aim of this study is to describe the development of an online-available screening tool which could help the teachers to identify the students at risk of lowered effectiveness during the distance learning and also to select an appropriate teaching approach for the given class. A complex survey involving 35 teachers of Czech language, German language, Mathematics, Physics and Geography, and more than 1400 of their students from 70 classes, was carried out. In the first step, we identified which out of the more than 100 potentially relevant variables have predictive value for the effectiveness of distance learning. Subsequently, a series of multilinear regression models enabling to quantify the impact of the individual variables on effectiveness and perceived usefulness of distance learning were developed. Moderation analysis was also used to model how suitable synchronous and asynchronous activities based on active learning are for classes with different characteristics. Based on the results of the models, a simple screening tool helping teachers to tailor their approach and strategy is being developed.
