STEM-education has become an important phenomenon changing the paradigm of education system. Developing STEM-education, makes it possible to respond to the existing and future challenges. The aim of the research was to evaluate the role of innovative techniques in development of STEM-education and to present the effective organization of STEM-based curriculum within the Ukrainian educational institutions. To answer the research questions, we applied qualitative research methodology (face-to-face interviews, observations, close-ended survey, written reports analysis) and the experts' assessment to validate the quality and relevance of the findings. The results showed that a number of innovative techniques are applied, including project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, case-study, collaborative learning, peer learning, simulations, gamification, distance learning, blended learning, artificial intelligence supported teaching and Virtual Reality. Innovative techniques bring certain advantages for STEM-education and enhance the process of training of future STEM professionals. At the same time, it was found that the use of innovative techniques positively affects the development of STEM-education in Ukraine and helps to overcome the existing challenges such as improvement of STEM-based curriculum, reduction of costs and increasing the access to education, making the educational process more interactive, organization of professional development for instructors and prepare students to solve real-world tasks. In the XX - at the beginning of the XXI century, a process of rapid development of world art and reassessment of artistic values took place in network culture. A new language of art is formed and developed in parallel with the development of the latest technologies. Changing the assessment and reality perception process requires adaptation of design subjects to the new world, in which information flows, opportunities, and scientific and technical innovations are rapidly and steadily growing and transforming. The changing perspective on art objects - from the past to the future - encourages art consumers to acquire a new sense of art going beyond the boundaries of everyday life and makes us relate to the world in a new way, accordingly transforming our everyday life, our desires and feelings. The rapid development and spread of the latest technologies, the entry to a qualitatively new level of visualization leads to the emergence and integration of new, littleresearched processes in the field of design, for instance, art design. The purpose of the academic paper is to study the regularities of art design formation as a new trend in developing the modern design sphere, as well as to clarify some practical features of this process. Analytical-bibliographical, systemic-structural, comparative, logical-linguistic methods, abstraction, idealization, analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction were used in the course of the research to study the scientific literature on the art design development, as well as a questionnaire to reveal certain aspects of practical issues in this sphere. Creativity training in many aspects relies on the education, school achievements and natural characteristics of each individual. In fact, the method of creative projects is one of the special techniques that can be actively used at the stage of university education. In research logical research methods were used: analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction. The article also uses the method of abstraction, which involves the ascent from abstract concepts and theses to concrete conclusions. The conclusions indicate that the effectiveness of the use of creative projects as a way to develop creative design thinking of higher education is quite high, and design thinking can be considered quite popular in the labor market. Many top managers point to the positive changes that have occurred as a result of its active use. At the same time, the paper also demonstrates opposing views of experts who consider design thinking to be only part of a larger process of creation, which does not need to focus too much.
