An exotic vine cactus, dragon fruit (Hylocereus spp.) commonly known as ‘pitaya’ is a weather resilient crop, rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. The chances of crop improvement through conventional breeding is a limitation in dragon fruit, hence induced mutation can be exploited for creating genetic variability. The present study was carried out during 2019 to 2022 at Central Horticulture Experimental Station (ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru, Karnataka), Hirehalli, Karnataka to induce the variability in two dragon fruit cultivars, viz. Hirehalli Red and Hirehalli White. The experiment was laid out in completely randomized design (CRD) comprises of 15 treatments with different dosage of EMS (Ethyl Methane Sulphonate) (0.2%, 0.5%, 0.8%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.25%, 2.50%, 2.75% and 3.00%) and sodium azide (0.02%, 0.03%, 0.04%, 0.05% and 0.06%) and untreated seeds were sown as control with 3 replications of each. Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor and leading cause of death in women worldwide. It accounts for 15% of all cancer deaths According to World Health Organisation (WHO), approximately 70% of breast malignancies occur in women with unknown risk factorsThe prognostic factor can be defined as a measurable variable which correlates with natural history of the disease. The most significant factor which influences prognosis in breast cancer is axillary lymph node involvement, which is usually assessed at time of surgery using sentinel lymph node biopsy or axillary lymph node dissection. The number of lymph nodal involvement is also significant. Involvement of 1-3 lymph nodes carry better prognosis than 4-9 and more than 9 lymph nodes involvement. Size of the tumour has long been recognized as a prognostic factor and as predictor of axillary node status, with larger tumours being associated with a bad prognosis and an increased incidence of nodal metastasis. This study is conducted in Department of General Surgery, SVRRGGH, Sri Venkateswara Medical College, Tirupati for a period of more than one and half year after getting approval from Institutional Ethical Committee on March 2021. A prospective study of 50 patients who fulfilled Inclusion Criteria is taken into consideration to know how prognostic factors like tumor size & grade, axillary lymphnode involvement are influencing the prognosis and management of breast carcinoma. In a variety of industries, including transportation, agriculture, and manufacturing, diesel engines are often employed. Due of rising prices and environmental concerns, researchers examined whether biodiesels might replace diesel. The current study looks into American Saffron Oil's feasibility as a feedstock for biodiesel production. The transesterification technique is used to extract American saffron oil methyl este(ASOME), which is then examined for its physical and chemical properties in accordance with ASTM standards. Diesel fuel and American Saffron Oil methyl ester are mixed on a volume basis to create a variety of fuel blends, including B20, B40, and B60. The test results showed that the 20 % ASOME mix had better performance and reduced emissions. Also, utilizing DIESEL-RK simulation software, diesel engine tests are conducted for the B20, B40, and B60 under identical operating circumstances. Moreover, diesel engine testing for the B20, B40, and B60 are carried out using DIESEL-RK simulation software under comparable operating circumstances. Results of simulation software tests show improved engine performance and reduced pollutants. This research evaluated an offline vacuum decay leak detection system for 1775-ml polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles. These bottles were filled with water and pulped and unpulped orange juice and induction sealed with an aluminum liner and an outer 38-mm continuous thread polypropylene cap. The objectives of this study were to evaluate (i) minimum leak size sensitivity of the instrument; (ii) ability to identify weak but nonleaking seals; (iii) effect of varying fill heights on the equipment's sensitivity; and (iv) percentage of false-positive and negative results likely to be obtained during a normal test run. To meet these objectives, leaks 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50 microm were created in the PET bottles. A second set of bottles was induction sealed at high voltage and 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, and 4 s of dwell time. A third set of bottles with good seals was filled with differing headspace measurements of brimful, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 cm. After optimizing the equipment, leak tests on random sets of leaking and nonleaking bottles showed 0.0% false-positive and 0.0% negative identifications. Results showed 5-microm minimum leak size detection for bottles filled with all products. Optimum seal conditions were >2 but <3 s at high voltage. Product fill heights >2 to < or =3 cm did not affect the efficiency of the equipment. These results show that this vacuum decay system has potential for use in identifying leaks in PET bottles used for food packaging.
