BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: *The nation's urban sector has experienced significant changes since industrialization, both in terms of growth and improvement in terms of creating jobs and the depletion of natural resources. The development and destruction are commendable and need mention and attention. These days, issues such as environmental degradation, the wealth gap, and unequal access to opportunities and resources are increasing. These concerns have increased the need for urban management through sustainable and planned development. The development cannot be sustained unless the depletion is controlled and taken care of. The current study focused on how urban regions have changed and how sustainable development helps cope with the changes. Furthermore, the study focused on enhancing the well-being of urban communities and promoting inclusivity to develop sustainable businesses that are economically sustainable in the long run. The novelty of the study is that explores how sustainable development can mitigate the impacts of urban change and enhance community well-being and inclusivity. METHODS: *Quantitative methodologies, such as surveys and statistical analyses, may have shed light on the broader impact of sustainable business practices on urban development. To complement these findings, qualitative case studies and interviews could have fostered deeper insights into specific initiatives and the perspectives of entrepreneurs navigating this landscape. A mixed-methods approach, weaving together quantitative trends with rich qualitative narratives, would have further enriched the understanding of motivations and challenges encountered. Ultimately, regardless of the specific methodologies employed, this research likely aimed to achieve a holistic understanding of the intricate connections between urban management, sustainable business practices, and the innovative spirit of entrepreneurs driving change in India. In this study, the researcher used regression analysis and factor analysis to achieve the research objectives. FINDINGS: The entrepreneurs examined in the study exhibited a proactive stance towards critical aspects of sustainable business, notably waste management, energy efficiency, and resource optimization. The study identifies significant associations between key variables and sustainable urban development. Urban management demonstrates a positive impact (B = 1.286, SE = 0.621, Beta = 0.116, T = 2.071, P = 0.0039), highlighting its crucial role in shaping sustainable practices. Sustainable practices, in turn, exhibit a strong positive correlation (B = 1.088, SE = 0.257, Beta = 0.238, T = 4.242, P = 0.0001), indicating their pivotal role in driving urban development towards sustainability. These findings underscore the importance of integrating effective urban management strategies and sustainable practices to foster inclusive and resilient urban communities. CONCLUSION: The findings provide the government with all the criteria essential for a valid approach to the sustainable development of the urban regions of the country and provide the appropriate balance between growth and development. The researcher recommended that creating supportive policies and incentives, investing in green infrastructure, supporting local entrepreneurship ecosystems, collecting and sharing data, and promoting community engagement are requirements for urban management. In addition, recommended that focusing on triple bottom line impact, collaborating with other stakeholders, Innovating and adapting, communicating transparently, and advocating for change are required for Sustainable Businesses by Entrepreneurs. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Overusing renewable resources for various purposes is making it necessary to use fewer non-renewable ones to generate energy. Finding alternative renewable energy sources is essential for energy production. This study concentrated on using wind direction and speed to produce wind energy among renewable energy sources. Data on wind direction and speed were statistically analyzed to determine the current distribution pattern, which is then used to project the amount of wind energy that will be available in the future. METHODS: This study concentrated on choosing wind direction and speed to minimize the potential for current electricity generation from wind turbines, using data collected between 1981 and 2023. The wind speed and direction distribution pattern was assessed through the Weibull distribution, beta distribution, and three-parameter Weibull distribution. The Anderson-Darling test and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test were employed in this study to determine the goodness-of-fit of a specific distribution. The forecasting analysis was expanded from 2024 to 2050 based on the three-parameter Weibull distribution and Anderson-Darling test results for future sustainable wind energy production. FINDINGS: The average wind speed was found to be 6.51 meters per second, with a standard deviation of 0.280 meters per second between 1981 and 2023. The wind direction varied between a minimum of 3.56 and a maximum of 356.44 degrees for the same duration. The study discovered that the three-parameter Weibull distribution caused less error in the wind speed data distribution pattern than both the Weibull distribution and beta distribution, based on the results of the Anderson-Darling and Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests. From both the tests on Weibull distribution, beta distribution, and three-parameter Weibull distribution, this study found that the Anderson-Darling test was the most appropriate for forecasting the wind speed corresponding to the wind direction for the periods between 2024 and 2050 to produce sustainable wind energy from the wind turbine. CONCLUSION: The outcomes of this study demonstrate that there is a good likelihood that the parameter Weibull distribution and Anderson-Darling test will be used in other nations to aid in the complementary integration of wind energy. This research has the potential to significantly reduce the amount of environmentally hazardous energy sources used to meet societal requirements. This study offers a trustworthy technique for assessing wind direction and speed, which helps design sustainable wind power plants, construct engineering curricula, and estimate clean, environmentally friendly energy sources. Context/Background: Rearing practices are a major determinant of nutritional and health status of infants. Infant Care Practices has more impact on Child Survival. Therefore these practices need to be better understood Aims/Objectives: The objective of the study is to assess the feeding and child rearing practices among mothers in the study area. Methodology: A cross sectional descriptive study was conducted among 110 mothers of 6 months to two year children attending Government Medical College in Thiruvannamalai using a Semi structured Questionnaire. Analysis of collected data was done using Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. Results: Only 43.6% of mothers exclusively breastfeed their child and 33.6% of mothers had given prelacteal feeds to the newborn. Bottle feeding was practiced by 71.7% of mothers. About 68.2% of mothers applied kajal to the eyes of children.All the mothers utilised Health care services during illness of the children. Maternal education improves the weaning and immunisation practices and found statistically significant (p < 0.05) Conclusions: Faulty child rearing practices need to be corrected either through health education, hands on training of mothers and counselling by healthcare professionals in order to improve the health status of infants.
