Potato plants have an important role in providing a source of carbohydrates for society. However, potato production is often threatened by various plant diseases, such as leaf disease, which can cause a decrease in yields. Identification of diseases on potato leaves is currently mostly done by farmers manually, so it is not always efficient and accurate. So the aim of this research is to identify diseases on potato leaves with artificial neural networks using the ELM (Extreme Learning Machine) approach and the GLCM (Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix) method for feature extraction. The GLCM approach functions to obtain texture features on objects by measuring how often certain pairs of pixel intensities appear together at various distances and directions in the image. Meanwhile, the ELM algorithm is used for image identification by adopting a one-time training method without iteration, which involves randomly determining weights and biases in hidden layers, thus allowing training to be carried out quickly and efficiently. Evaluation of the model by looking for the level of accuracy produces a value of 84.667%. The results show that the model developed is capable of accurate identification.

The development of technology runs very rapidly in this day and age. Indonesian are no exception to the worldwide trend toward greater reliance on digital technologies. And the Sambas community as residents of border areas tend to enter underdeveloped areas in various aspects of life, including in the field of education, especially in English language learning. The weak use of English communication for students living at the border further complicates opportunities to enter the workforce. As a border area with a high intensity of interaction and communication with other countries, it demands mastering English from an early age. The border area should get special attention from the government because the border area is a strategic area from the point of defense and security of a country and as an attraction for trade and tourism. Learning using digital means must absolutely be mastered by teachers as a means of improving English learning in the area. Based on the explanation above, this research reveals the problem that exists in digital English language teaching (ELT) at the junior high school level in border areas. Kurikulum Merdeka menerapkan konsep “Merdeka Belajar” untuk membantu dalam pemulihan krisis pembelajaran pada Kurikulum 2013 yang terjadi akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19. Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka membutuhkan persiapan yang matang. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menganalisis kesiapan Madrasah Tsanawiyah dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian yaitu Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ogan Ilir dan sampel penelitian yaitu MTs N 1 Ogan Ilir dan MTs Al-Ittifaqiah. Sebanyak 17 guru dan 2 wakil kepala bidang kurikulum di kedua Madrasah Tsanawiyah sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan Madrasah Ogan Ilir cukup siap untuk mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka dengan nilai rata-rata 66,2. Indikator kesiapan meliputi tiga aspek yaitu kesiapan pada perencanaan pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran dan proses penilaian. Berdasarkan ketiga aspek kesiapan, yang paling siap dengan nilai tinggi yaitu kesiapan pada perencanaan pembelajaran dengan nilai 68,8. Sedangkan kesiapan pada proses penilaian termasuk kategori siap rendah dengan nilai 63,7. Dengan demikian, perlu ada peningkatan pada pelatihan ataupun sosialisasi sehingga tingkat kesiapan guru meningkat.

Teaching materials are an important requirement in realizing effective learning in schools. This problem requires the need for teaching materials as a solution to the problem of low numeracy skills. Some of the obstacles in learning mathematics are that teachers are less aware of the importance of preparing teaching materials according to their needs, the benefits of teaching materials in preparing learning tools and implementing learning, and teachers do not understand the mechanisms and techniques for preparing correct teaching materials. The preparation of teaching materials is very important, especially in improving students' mathematical abilities, especially numeracy. To provide solutions to these problems, the PKM Team conducted training on Teaching Materials and Numeracy Instruments for Elementary School Teachers. The stages that are passed are 1) preparation, 2) implementation and 3) evaluation. The participants of this training were 54 with the target audience of UNPAS Mathematics Education Master's students who teach in elementary schools and SD Plus Al-Ghifari mathematics teacher. The activity results showed an improvement in teachers' knowledge and skills regarding numeracy-based teaching materials and instruments, with an initial ability to obtain an average score of 27.04 and a final score with an average of 81.48. Meanwhile, participants' response to the PKM activity obtained a score of 4.6 in the highly satisfactory category. These activity results concluded that there was an improvement in teachers' knowledge and skills in developing numeracy-based teaching materials and instruments, and participants gave a highly satisfactory response to the training activity conducted.

This study aims to understand the performance of SME’s product innovation by relating it to the foresight concept of SME owners or managers and the moderating effect of competitive intensity. It employs a quantitative research method by using a survey. This paper studies SMEs from the West Java Province of Indonesia in three industrial sectors: food, fashion, and handicrafts. These industrial sectors were chosen because they are the most competitive, and their consumers change rapidly. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed, 190 were returned, and 187 were used for data processing. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that networking, time horizon, and analysis can affect product innovation performance (p < 0.05). Furthermore, competition intensity does not affect the relationship between analysis and product innovation performance, although there is a relationship between networking and time horizon. The results of this study provide insight for Indonesian SMEs, especially in West Java. Foresight skills trained by SMEs will make them accustomed to facing high-level competition, especially in the time horizon dimension. However, on the other hand, the high intensity of competition can reduce their networking to collaborate with various related parties.

ABSTRACT The cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Klaten Regency still increase from the previous year and this disease could be caused by environmental factors spreading widely in one area to another. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between environmental factors and the DHF in Klaten Regency with a sample of 26 subdistrict. The secondary data were used including population density, rainfall, urban areas, the length of the road network, and the area of forestry/plantation. Data were analyzed by univariate and spatial autocorrelation analysis of Moran Index and LISA using Geoda 1.18. The spatial autocorrelation analysis with Moran Index resulted in a positive spatial relationship between population density, rainfall, proportion of urban areas, road density, and vegetation cover with DHF. Meanwhile, local spatial analysis with LISA resulted in positive and negative spatial relationship and resulted in hotspot areas on environmental factors with the DHF. It can be concluded that intervention on environmental conditions would be necessary as to decrease its negative impacts. ABSTRAK Kasus Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) di Kabupaten Klaten masih mengalami peningkatan dari tahun sebelumnya dan penyakit ini dapat disebabkan oleh faktor lingkungan yang menyebabkan kasus ini menyebar luas dalam satu wilayah ke wilayah lainnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara faktor lingkungan dengan kejadian DBD di Kabupaten Klaten dengan sampel sebanyak 26 kecamatan. Data yang digunakan berupa data sekunder yaitu kepadatan penduduk, curah hujan, wilayah perkotaan, panjang jaringan jalan, serta luas area perhutanan/perkebunan. Data dianalisis secara univariat dan analisis autokorelasi spasial Indeks Moran dan LISA menggunakan Geoda 1.18. Analisis autokorelasi spasial dengan Indeks Moran menghasilkan hubungan spasial yang positif antara kepadatan penduduk, curah hujan, proporsi daerah perkotaan, panjang jalan serta tutupan vegetasi dengan kejadian DBD. Sementara itu, analisis spasial secara lokal dengan LISA menghasilkan hubungan spasial yang positif dan negatif serta menghasilkan daerah hotspot pada variabel faktor lingkungan dengan kejadian DBD. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa intervensi pada kondisi lingkungan akan diperlukan untuk mengurangi pengaruh yang negatif

This research was conducted to outline the opportunities and challenges of resolving fintech business disputes through the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute (LAPS) in Indonesia. The research method used in this research is a legal reasearch approach and qualitative approach that is to review primary and secondary data sources related to regulations on business dispute resolution in Indonesia. The results show that fintech plays a role in encouraging the economic development of the community, especially as an alternative to financing. LAPS serves as a solution to dispute resolution of business people in Indonesia this institution was chosen because it is more effective and efficient, the verdict is final and binding that is contrary to litigation lines that seem time-consuming and expensive costs. LAPS opportunities are very large for the rise of digital-based businesses and payments that still leave many legal problems while LAPS khsusus fintech is not yet available where LAPS provides services that are in line with digital business; the settlement is a win-win solution, which is in accordance with the character of the business world, which is obliged to manage risks, including reputational risk, operational risk and legal risk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jumlah SPPT, NJOP dan tunggakan pajak terhaadap penerimaan pajak bumi dan bangunan di Kabupaten Serang baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah SPPT, NJOP, tunggakan pajak dan penerimaan pajak bumi dan bangunan. Data berasal dari Badan Pengelolaan Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan (BPPD) Kabupaten Serang periode 2014 – 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jumlah data 32. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan studi kepustakaan dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini mengambil sampel dengan metode purposive sampling. Untuk mengetahui model regresi dilakukan pengujian normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan autokorelasi. Pengujian hipotesis berdasarkan pada t-value dan F-value. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara jumlah SPPT, NJOP dan tunggakan pajak terhadap penerimaan pajak bumi dan bangunan di Kabupaten Serang. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai R square pada penelitian ini adalah sebesar 0,991 atau dapat diartikan bahwa variabel jumlah SPPT, NJOP dan tunggakan pajak mampu menerangkan 99,1% terhadap penerimaan pajak bumi dan bangunan. Kata kunci : Jumlah SPPT, NJOP, Tunggakan Pajak dan Penerimaan PBB.

The working relationship between employers and workers/labourers is civil/private in nature because it was born after the existence of a work agreement. The existence of jobs, orders and wages as elements of work relations is left to the parties. The work agreement as the basis of the employment relationship is an autonomous rule for employers and workers/laborers in exercising their rights and obligations. However, work agreements do not fully contain private elements. The position of the worker/laborer and the entrepreneur is not balanced, for example in terms of "work" and "orders" the worker/laborer is in a weak position because the employer has previously determined it according to the type of work agreed upon. Likewise the issue of "wages", even though the entrepreneur has set the amount, it may not conflict with the provisions of labor regulations. Labor is very crucial because it is one of the main pillars in carrying out national development. Therefore, a heteronomous rule is needed as a safeguard in supervising the working relationship between the parties. This raises the public aspect in the field of employment. Pandemi Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) terjadi di lebih dari 200 negara termasuk Indonesia, telah mengubah kebiasaan masyarakat dalam berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi. Covid-19 memaksa masyarakat untuk berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi secara online dengan menggunakan platform seperti Zoom, Google-meet, Webex, dan platform lainnya. Salah satu sektor yang mengalami dampak yang mengharuskan berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi secara online adalah sektor pendidikan, hal tersebut bertujuan untuk mencegah penyebaran dan penularan Covid-19. Salah satu kegiatan di sektor pendidikan yang harus dilaksanakan secara online adalah seminar. Seminar yang dilaksanakan secara online di masa pandemi Covid-19 ini dikenal dengan sebutan Webinar. Pada webinar, pengelola webinar menghadapi permasalahan setelah pelaksanaan webinar yaitu bagaimana mengenerate dan mengirimkan sertifikat kepada peserta webinar secara massal. Penelitian ini telah mengembangkan aplikasi berbasis web yang diberi nama Cobinar. Cobinar merupakan aplikasi yang digunakan untuk membantu pengelola webinar dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang berkaitan generate dan pengiriman sertifikat massal kepada peserta webinar. Aplikasi Cobinar dikembangkan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan menggunakan Database Management System (DBMS) MySql. Sedangkan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak yang digunakan adalah Waterfall. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba, aplikasi Cobinar ini mampu mengenerate dan mengirimkan sertifikat ke peserta webinar dengan lebih efektif dan efisien, hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil pengujian menggunakan User Acceptance Test (UAT) yang menyatakan bahwa 95 persen pengguna menyatakan bahwa aplikasi Cobinar mudah untuk dijalankan. Kontribusi utama dari penelitian ini adalah pengembangan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat digunakan oleh pengelola webinar untuk mengenerate dan mengirimkan sertifikat webinar kepada peserta. Abstract The Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic occurred in more than 200 countries, including Indonesia, which has changed people's habits in communicating and interacting. Covid-19 forces people to communicate and interact online using Zoom, Google-meet, Webex, and other platforms. One sector that has experienced the impact of communicating and interacting online is the education sector, which aims to prevent the spread and transmission of Covid-19. One of the activities in the education sector that must be carried out online is a conference. This conference, which was held online during the Covid-19 pandemic, is known as a Webinar. The webinar manager faced a problem after the webinar, namely, how to generate and send certificates to webinar participants. This research has developed a web-based application called Cobinar. Cobinar is an application used to assist webinar managers in overcoming problems related to generating and sending mass certificates to webinar participants. The Cobinar application was developed using the PHP programming language and using the MySql Database Management System (DBMS). While the software development method used is Waterfall. The Cobinar application can generate and send certificates to webinar participants more effectively and efficiently based on testing. It can be seen from the results of testing using the User Acceptance Test (UAT), which states that 95 percent of users state that the Cobinar application is easy to operate. The main contribution of this research is the development of an application that webinar administrators can use to generate and send webinar certificates to participants.

The study of macrozoobenthic in seaweed culture in Muara Gembong Estuary, Bekasi District, West Java Province, was conducted in May to July 2018. The study was aimed at understanding the roles of macrozoobenthic organisms as ecosystem engineering in seaweed habitat by identifying macrozoobenthic community structures using various biological indices. Sampling sites were conducted at three selected intertidal ponds used for seaweed culture at different distances and perpendicular to the coastline. Samples of macrozoobenthic organisms were collected using an Ekman grab during low tide periods. The study results showed that the macrozoobenthic community from the three ponds were consisted of 9 major benthic families and 14 genera with a total of 139 individuals. The results also showed that gastropod of the genus Cerithiidae was the dominant taxa found in every pond which contributed to 42.45% of the total macrozoobenthic found in the three ponds and became the main contributing taxa to the macrozoobenthic community structure. In addition, genus Platynereis of the Polychaeta Class was found to be another important taxon which contributed to 14.39% of the total macrozoobenthic found in the three ponds. The genus Platynereis were mostly found in the second pond with muddy coarse sandy sediment substrate containing more silt compared to the other two ponds. The rare taxon was the genus Lithophaga from family Mytilidae represented by 1 individual. Our study concluded that the macrozoobenthic community structure in the three ponds was categorized as poorly diverse indicating that the pond system was unstable. The Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (H’) was only 0.87 on average with the highest diversity index (H’=1.47) was found in the third pond located at the farthest area of the coastline. Meanwhile, the average of Evenness Index was 0.34 indicating that the distribution of the taxa was uneven with a tendency of being dominated by certain taxa.

Malaria infection kills more than one million human every year, mainly under-5-year-old children, including in South East Asian nations. Gamma radiation given at a single dose is commonly used to create the attenuated Plasmodium parasites to get vaccine materials. However, there is no study on the infectivity of parasites after fractionated γ-radiation. This study aimed to assess the infectivity of parasites after irradiated with fractionated γ-rays in mice. A number of Plasmodium bergheithat was irradiated in two fractions of 100 and 50 Gy, 100 and 75 Gy; and 100 and 100 Gy within 5 minutes of interval time was injected intraperitoneally into 12 mice. Mice injected with unirradiated parasites (0 Gy) served as a control group. The parasitemia level of intraerythrocytic parasites in each group was observed at days post injection up to 20 days by making Giemsa stained thin blood smears and observed under the microscope. Results showed that fractionation radiation did not effectively attenuate the parasites where they still grew in blood of mice, except for 100+75 Gy. There are no significant differences among the treatment groups (p0.05). This is different from irradiation at the single dose that resulted in almost completely attenuated parasites mainly the dose of 150 Gy. This implicating that irradiation of gamma rays at a single dose is a better way to mitigate parasites than fractionation dose as the infectivity of irradiated parasites were lower compared to that of fractionated dosage. The aim of this article is to identify the forms of legal protection provided by the government to fulfil the right to work for persons with disabilities in Indonesia, and to know the path to creating an inclusive work environment for persons with disabilities in Indonesia. This article is a normative study following legislative and a comparative approach. The results showed that the form of legal protection provided by the Indonesian government to persons with disabilities in fulfilling the right to work is set forth in Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning persons with disabilities as stipulated in article 45 - article 60. This form of legal protection covers the procedure of recruitment, acceptance, work preparing, work position, sustainability of work, and the development of a fair career consideration without discrimination. Artikel ini merupakan studi normatif dengan pendekatan legislatif dan komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk perlindungan hukum yang diberikan pemerintah Indonesia kepada penyandang disabilitas dalam pemenuhan hak atas pekerjaan diatur dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 2016 tentang Penyandang Disabilitas sebagaimana diatur dalam pasal 45 sampai pasal 60. Bentuk perlindungan hukum ini perlindungan meliputi tata cara rekrutmen, penerimaan, penyiapan kerja, kedudukan kerja, kelangsungan pekerjaan, dan pengembangan pertimbangan karir yang adil tanpa diskriminasi. Lingkungan kerja yang inklusif bagi penyandang disabilitas dapat diwujudkan di tempat kerja dengan memenuhi prinsip inklusi yang mengamanatkan kesadaran, aksesibilitas, keterlibatan, dan dukungan bagi penyandang disabilitas. BACKGROUND: Mamuju area in West Sulawesi considered as the high natural background radiation area in Indonesia. Our previous study showed that the mean mitotic index (MI) and nuclear division index (NDI) in lymphocytes of Botteng Village, Mamuju inhabitants was lower compared to control samples. To validate our previous study results, here in this study the evaluation of cell proliferation markers which were MI and NDI in peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) of Takandeang Village inhabitants was conducted. METHODS: A total 60 people were enrolled in this study, consisted of 35 samples from Takandeang Sub-Village and 25 from normal background radiation area. MI was calculated manually and automatically using Metafer 3.11.2 imaging system. The NDI defined as proportion of mononucleated, binucleated, trinucleated and tetranucleated cells were conducted using cytokinesis block micronucleus (CBMN) assay. RESULTS: The results of this study showed that the mean manual MI in Takandeang Sub-Village inhabitants was lower compared to control group (4.96±2.25 vs. 5.93±2.14). In contrast, the mean automatic MI (20.37±10.49 vs. 18.87±7.49) and NDI (1.555±0.174 vs. 1.523±0.112) in Takandeang Sub-Village inhabitants was higher compared to the control group. Statistical analysis revealed that the difference of mean manual MI, automatic MI and NDI in Takandeang Sub-Village inhabitants was not significantly different compared to the control group (p>0.05). CONCLUSION: It can be concluded that based on this study the chronic low radiation dose exposure in Takandeang Sub-Village, Mamuju has no significant effect on the lymphocytes proliferation. Bismuth oxide (Bi2O3) is a well-studied photocatalyst for degradation of various environmental contaminants. In this research Bi2O3 has been synthesized by precipitation method using two different bases (NH4OH and NaOH). The samples thus obtained were then analyzed using FTIR, XRD, and SEM for surface functionalization, crystal structures and morphological differences, respectively. The Bi2O3 precipitated using NH4OH showed a flower like structure made up of individual plates having α-Bi2O3 crystal structure. The precipitate obtained using NaOH showed a honeycomb like flower structure with a mixture of both α-Bi2O3 and γ-Bi2O3 crystal structure. Degradation of methyl orange (MO) was used as a model system to test the photocatalytic activity of the bismuth oxide. The Bi2O3 synthesized using NH4OH showed superior photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange than the one synthesized using NaOH.

Abstract.The study aims to examine the effect of Intellectual Capital on Market Performance and Financial Performance in the LQ45 companies. It uses the sample of LQ45 companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2010-2013. The sample is determined by using Purposive Sampling method. The study conducts 72 observations of 18 samples of the companies. The hypothesis is tested using Panel Data Regression. The study indicates that the Intellectual Capital (VAIC) and VACA of companies significantly influence market performance (Tobins'Q) and financial performance of Return on Assets (ROA) and Assets Turnover (ATO). VAHU significantly effects on the financial performance of Return on Assets (ROA) and STVA significantly effects on the financial performance of Assets Turnover (ATO). Meanwhile, VAHU has no significant effect on the market performance (Tobins'Q) and financial performance of Assets Turnover (ATO). And STVA has no significant effect on the market performance (Tobins'Q) and financial performance of Return on Assets (ROA). Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Intellectual Capital (VAIC) dan VACA perusahaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pasar (Tobins’Q) dan kinerja keuangan Return on Asset (ROA) dan Assets Turnover (ATO). VAHU berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan Return on Asset (ROA) dan STVA berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan Assets Turnover (ATO). Sedangkan VAHU tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pasar (Tobins’Q) dan kinerja keuangan Assets Turnover (ATO). Dan STVA tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pasar (Tobins’Q) dan kinerja keuangan Return on Asset(ROA). Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning merupakan model pembelajaran dimana peserta didik memahami sendiri konsep, arti, dan hubungan melalui proses intuitif untuk akhirnya sampai kepada kesimpulan. Hasil belajar merupakan perubahan yang terjadi pada diri siswa, baik aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor sebagai hasil dari kegiatan belajar.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan secara menyeluruh didukung dengan dataakurat bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi matriks di Kelas XI SMK Negeri 2 Situbondo Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019, hal ini sesuai hasil perhitungan uji t, dimana t hitung > t tabel (3,126>2,01) dan ρ value (0,003) < 0,05 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Sedangkanhasil penelitian nilai rata-rata menunjukkan bahwa hasil yang diperoleh untuk kemampuan akhir kelompok eksperimen dengan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning diperoleh rata-rata 78,85 dan untuk kelompok kontrol dengan metode konvensional diperoleh rata-rata 74,62 disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol sebesar 42,3%.

The presence of malarial pigment (haemozoin) due to Plasmodium infection is a common histopathological effect in mouse liver. Previous research showed that by using a polarized light microscope, researchers were better able to detect haemozoin in mouse liver histology section. Thus, the aim of this research was to compare the haemozoin area observed by a conventional vs. simple polarized light microscope by using image processing analysis. A total of 40 images produced from both conventional light microscope and simple polarized light microscope were collected. All images were analyzed using ImageJ 1.47 software to measure the haemozoin areas. Our results showed that non birefringent haemozoin and birefringent haemozoin area was significantly different. This was because when using conventional light microscope the brown area that contained images of non birefringent haemozoin images also contained Kupffer cells which appeared as the same brown color as haemozoin. In contrast, haemozoin gave bright effect and can be easily differentiated with Kupffer cells in the birefringent haemozoin images. This study concluded that haemozoin detection in mouse liver histology using a simple polarized light microscope was more accurate compared to that of conventional light microscope.

Malaria is a serious global disease and a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in tropical and sub-tropical countries. Radiation attenuated vaccines have been demonstrated to be an effective means of controlling certain parasitic infections such as malaria. Our previous research showed that irradiation dose of 150-175 Gy to Plasmodium berghei were enable to suppress the infected erythrocyte cells and irradiation dose at 150 Gy was more effective compared to 175 Gy in attenuate the parasites based on parasitemia index. Aim of this research was to investigate the most suitable irradiation dose to attenuated P. berghei based on the the histological changes in the liver mouse malaria model. Histological changes in mice liver because of Plasmodium is congestion in the sinusoids and masses of hemozoin. Fourty Swiss mice were randomly assigned to four equal groups. First group of mice were inoculated with the unirradiated malaria parasites as a positive control while negative control group represented uninfected normal control. The third group of mice was inoculated with the irradiated malaria parasites with dose 175 Gy. Last group were inoculated with the irradiated malaria parasites with dose 150 Gy. Mice were sacrificed at day 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, and 24 post inoculation for liver histological study. Their livers processed for histomorphometric assessment of sinusoidal area, haemozoin area and hepatosomatic index as a quantitative measure of altered morphology. Hepatic sinusoidal area in mice infected with the unirradiated malaria parasites increased by 104% in day 24 post inoculated compared to day 6 post inoculated, whereas a smaller increase of 46% occurred in mice that were inoculated with the irradiated malaria parasites with dose 150 Gy. The difference between positive control and 150 Gy group was significant (P < 0.05). The highest average haemozoin area in all days post inoculation was in positive control whereas a smaller occurred in mice that were inoculated with the irradiated malaria parasites with dose 175 Gy, but the different was not significant (P > 0.05). For hepatosomatic index (HSI) at day 24 post inoculation the HSI value in group 150 Gy (5.33) was the smallest compared to other groups. Based on our research it can be concluded that irradiation dose at 150 Gy was more effective compared to 175 Gy in attenuate the parasites based on assessment of sinusoidal area, and HSI value at 24 day post inoculation.

The aim of this research is to analyse of increasing Local Original Income (LOI) strategy and his influence to increasing the regional income. The research was done at Local Government Income of Batang regency. This research also want to know that the LOI strategy was based on the potencies and opportunities. The analyzing use the IFE, EFE, SWOT, and then QSPM to choose strategic formulation; and proportion models. The result of Internal – External analysis show that increasing strategy of LOI have not based on the potencies and opportunities that they have yet. The Local Government Income of Batang Regency needs the intensification strategy for increasing the LOI. By the QSPM analysis, the Local Government Income of Batang Regency needs extensification strategy for LOI acceptance.

The influence of oxalic and malonic acids on the effectiveness of Cu(ll) photoreduction catalyzed by TiO, has been studied. Photoreduction was carried out by a batch system in a closed reactor equipped by UV lamp. The results of the research show that the addition of TiO, photocatalyst can enhance Cu(ll) photocatalytic reduction, which may be initiated and/or accompanied by adsorption of Cu(ll) ion on the TiO, surface. The presence of both oxalic and malonic acids can improve of the Cu(ll) photoreduction, and the improvement is observed as the acid concentrations increase. It is also found that the effect of malonic acid in gaining Cu(ll) photoreduction is stronger than oxalic is, which are from around 20% into about 55% and that of into aroun d 35%, respectively. The roles of the acids on the enhancement of the photoreduction are OH radical attachment and electron donation.
