Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kegagalan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal teorema Phytagoras pada tahap ketiga, keempat dan adanya kesenjangan antara potensi teknologi inovatif dengan praktik pembelajaran yang masih menggunakan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran interaktif dengan Articulate Storyline yang memenuhi kriteria valid, dan praktis dari penggunaan media yang dihasilkan. Metode penelitian menggunakan PPE. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara tidak terstruktur dan angket. Instrumen terdiri dari lembar validasi serta angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini memenuhi standar kelayakan yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil uji koefisien kappa menunjukkan bahwa ada kesepakatan yang kuat dengan signifikansi rendah antara kedua kelompok rater. Kesepakatan rater materi memiliki koefisien kappa sebesar 0,625, kesepakatan rater media memiliki koefisien kappa sebesar 0,750. Nilai-nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelompok rater telah sepakat secara signifikan dalam menilai kualitas media pembelajaran, dan hasil kesepakatan ini tidak terjadi secara kebetulan. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan penilaian yang sangat baik terhadap kepraktisan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Android tersebut dalam penggunaannya. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif dengan Articulate Storyline untuk materi teorema Phytagoras telah berhasil memenuhi standar validitas dari rater dan praktis dari siswa. This research is motivated by the failure of students in solving Phytagoras theorem problems in the third, fourth stages and the gap between the potential of innovative technology and learning practices that still use conventional methods. This research aims to produce interactive learning media with Articulate Storyline that meets the criteria of valid, and practical use of the resulting media. The research method uses PPE. Data collection techniques were conducted through unstructured interviews and questionnaires. The instruments consisted of validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results showed that this learning media met the predetermined eligibility standards. The kappa coefficient test results show that there is a strong agreement with low significance between the two rater groups. The material rater agreement has a kappa coefficient of 0.625, the media rater agreement has a kappa coefficient of 0.750. These values indicate that both groups of raters have agreed significantly in assessing the quality of the learning media, and the results of this agreement did not occur by chance. The questionnaire results showed that students gave a very good assessment of the practicality of the Android-based interactive learning media in use. The results of this study indicate that the development of interactive learning media with Articulate Storyline for Phytagoras theorem material has been successful.

The learning strategy by associating cultural elements with mathematics is called ethnomathematics. The application of ethnomathematics in learning is very important in fostering a love for local culture which is currently almost abandoned due to modernization. This study aims to explain the mathematical elements contained in the Indonesian traditional game, namely engklek (hopscotch). The research method used ethnographic research. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, field notes, and documentation. The data analysis used was a triangulation analysis which consisted of data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that there are several mathematical topics in the game, including plane geometry, the concept of the relationship between angles (opposite angles and straight angles), cube net, congruence, the concept of reflection, the concept of mathematical logic, and the concept of probability. Hopscotch can be used as a medium for learning mathematics as a learning innovation in schools. The application of ethnomathematics strategies can improve elements of character education in the form of honesty, togetherness, and high sportsmanship in carrying out traditional games.

Permasalahan yang ditemui pada saat observasi awal terdiri dari: kemampuan problem solving siswa masih rendah dilihat dari hasil ulangan pada materi garis dan sudut; pihak sekolah membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat menunjang serta dapat mengotimalkan problem solving siswa, menciptakan variasi pembelajaran kreatif. Penelitian ini[U1] bertujuan mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran berbasis Scratch untuk mengoptimalkan problem solving siswa pada bidang Geometri. Penelitian pengembangan yang dipakai adalah model PPE dengan terdiri atas tiga tahapan diantaranya: Planning, Production, dan Evaluation. Subjek sebanyak 32 siswa kelas VII disalah satu SMP Negeri di kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian media pembelajaran berbasis Scratch layak digunakan dalam aktivitas dikelas yang telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan efektifitas. Penilaian validasi ahli materi memperoleh nilai persentase sebesar 88.09% merupakan kategori paling valid, juga besarnya persentase validitas ahli media adalah73.75% merupakan kategori valid. Tanggapan peserta didik terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Scratch pada materi segitiga dan segiempat sangat positif dengan persentase sebesar 90.73%. Efektifitas siswa berkaitan dengan problem solving siswa pada materi segiempat dan segitiga mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan, yakni sebesar 81.25% lebih optimal dibandingkan dengan problem solving saat observasi awal penelitian. Pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Scratch dapat dijadikan rujukan bagi guru matematika, selain dapat mengotimalkan problem solving siswa, juga dapat menciptakan variasi pembelajaran kreatif yang sesuai dengan perkembangan jaman saat ini.

This research conducted to know the effectiveness of screencast-o-matic application against student learning outcomes. This research was quasi-experimental in Siliwangi University of Tasikmalaya. The data was analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 software. Based on Test Statistic table, the value of Exact sig. (1-tailed) 0,000 < 0,025, means Ho is rejected. This showed that the average of ranking of the experimental group significantly exceeded the average ranking of the control group. In other words, student learning outcomes which using Screencast-o-matic media was better than the student learning outcomes which using conventional learning. Results of this research were expected that the lecturer or teachers are able to apply Screencast-o-matic media in learning so that the lessons more effective.

COVID-19 related health disparities are prevalent among higher risk populations like the Hispanic community. Vaccination is one readily available public health tool, yet vaccine uptake is lower among minority populations and hesitations and concerns are high. In the present study, interpersonal and media sources of information about COVID-19 were discussed in a series of six focus groups with Spanish-language dominant and bilingual English-Spanish respondents in a large metropolitan area in Texas. Participants reported using legacy media as a main source of information about COVID-19 vaccines and encountered conspiracy theories and misinformation on social media. Using the Health Belief Model as the theoretical lens, we found individuals' and family members' perceived susceptibility to COVID-19 played a part in participants wanting to find and get the vaccine. Provider recommendations may have served as cues to action. Ease of receiving the vaccines at church and pharmacies may have served to boost participants self-efficacy. Perceived barriers include vaccine specific reasons such as the fast pace of initial authorization, side effects, and long-term effects along with conspiracy theories. Prevailing information gaps regarding the COVID-19 vaccines and the resulting uncertainty are discussed. Understanding information sources and the trust Hispanic communities place in these sources is important in designing effective health messages.
