During the first phase of the project, in agreement with the multidisciplinary panel of experts, the main guidelines on the topic were selected. Each guideline was assessed through the AGREEII system to identify their strong/weak points and a summary of the recommendations contained in the various documents was drawn up. The panel drew up a list of therapeutic options to be included in the document and some of these topics were selected for in-depth analysis and review. The search strategy for the required literature reviews was constructed using the PICOS approach. The results obtained from the literature reviews, the in-depth analyses conducted by the members of the scientific societies involved and the analysis of the existing guidelines enabled an initial draft of the consensus document to be elaborated. This document was examined at the consensus conference held on 28 May 2019, in the presence of a multidisciplinary group consisting of members of the various scientific societies involved. Single recommendations were discussed in work groups with a view to combining the indications given by the literature examined with the experience of the specialists involved. The recommendations discussed were then put to the vote in a plenary assembly. The final document contains 26 practice recommendations which leading specialists involved in the management of knee OA in Italy agree upon.Keywords: knee osteoarthritis, conservative management, multidisciplinary consensus, Italy

Calorimeter is a system used for measurement of heat transfer. The objective this study is to construct a calorimeter to measure the thermal efficiency in welding which was developed at the Faculty Horizontia- FAHOR laboratories. The calorimeter consists of two thermally isolated cases and in one of them is wrapped finned pipe, which has the function of collecting the heat of the experiment. After construction of the calorimeter experimental tests for validation thereof were performed. Two tests were performed first with heated pieces to verifying the thermal efficiency of the calorimeter. Subsequently, a test of MAG welding for defining the thermal efficiency of the calorimeter was performed. In the first experiment was heated pieces was determined that the thermal efficiency of the calorimeter was 92.8% in the second test, the thermal efficiency of the calorimeter was 91.72%. In the experiment we found a welding thermal efficiency of 88.73%. For this reason, it can be stated that the goal to which the work proposed was reached because the calorimeter was capable even of measuring the thermal efficiency of welding. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The beeswax is very important for the production of honey by the fact the works and minimizes the energy expenditure of the bees in the production of honeycombs. The issue at hand is that there are few facilities that produce beeswax, limiting the process. Therefore, it is of great importance to develop equipment for the production of beeswax on a large scale, providing new opportunities for beekeepers. Thus, the main objective is to develop a device capable of transforming raw wax in beeswax. To achieve the objectives set forth in the work literature search was performed to verify the physical characteristics of beeswax, and the definition of the processes required to transform raw wax in beeswax. The following results are also presented in the details: wax lamination system, system modeling wax, wax cutting system, support structure, drive mechanisms and presentation of full equipment In conclusion we emphasize that the main objective was a achieved, and it was possible to develop a device. Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the paediatric population plays a minor role in the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. However, in order to keep schools open and reduce SARS-CoV spreading, it is necessary to identify and isolate early SARS-CoV-2 positive paediatric patients even if they are asymptomatic. The aim of this study was to describe a setting for SARS-CoV 2 testing based on the spontaneous presentation of paediatric patients attending school without a medical prescription and explore its appropriateness., Study Design: Cross-sectional study., Methods: The study performed between September 2020 and March 2021 among a sample of 13,283 paediatric patients who underwent a swab in four different hospital settings (school hot spot, emergency department, day hospital setting and hospital wards). For each patients we collected: date of swab execution, type of swab, execution setting of the swab, result of the swab, information about community spread of the virus in the 14 days prior to the swab execution, sex and age., Results: In our sample, females accounted for 45.8%. The median age was 6.8 years (IQR 3.0-11.2) and the most frequent age category was between 6 and 11 years (27.9%). At multivariable models with a swab tested positive as outcome. The swabs executed in all the hospital settings had a lower likelihood of resulting positive compared with the school hot spot setting. Compared with adolescents aged between 14 and 19 years old, new-borns below 3 months (adjOR 1.83, 95% C.I. 1.14-3) and patients aged between 11 and 14 years old (adjOR 1.32, 95% C.I. 1.07-1.63) reported a higher probability of a swab tested positive. Instead, children aged between 3 months and 3 years (adjOR 0.77, 95% C.I. 0.61-0.96) and children aged between 3 years and 6 years (adjOR 0.66, 95% C.I. 0.53-0.83) were less likely to result positive. The higher was the mean of pooled Rt in the 14 days preceding the swab, the higher was the likelihood of resulting positive (adjOR 1.75, 95% C.I. 1.53-1.99)., Conclusion: In conclusion, we found a high incidence of paediatric patients positive to the test for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 at the school hot spot compared with other settings during the period of observation. The free access modality to the nasopharyngeal swab was effective in identifying patients with COVID-19. Public health authorities should implement these testing modality in order to help reduce the spread of SARS-CoV-2 in school settings.

Introduction: After COVID-19 outbreak, governments adopted several containment measures. Risk perception and knowledge may play a crucial role since they can affect compliance with preventive measures. This study aimed to explore the extent and the associated factors of risk perception, knowledge regarding SARS-CoV2, and perception towards preventive measures among the Italian population., Methods: A nationwide cross-sectional study involving adults was conducted in April-May 2021: an online survey was distributed through social media. The outcomes were: Knowledge Score (KS) (0 to 100%: higher scores correspond to higher COVID-19 related knowledge); Risk Perception Score (RPS) (1 to 4: higher values indicate higher concern); Preventive measures Perception Score (PPS) (1 to 4: higher values indicate higher confidence). Multivariable regression models were performed., Results: A total of 1120 participants were included. Median KS was 79.5% (IQR = 72.7%-86.4%). Lower education and poor economic conditions were negatively associated with the KS. Median RPS was 2.8 (IQR = 2.4-3.2). Female gender, sharing house with a fragile person, suffering from a chronic disease, having a family member/close friend who contracted SARS-CoV-2 infection were positively associated with the RPS. Median PPS was 3.1 (IQR = 2.8-3.4). Lower educational level was negatively associated with the PPS. Vaccine hesitancy was negatively associated with all three outcomes. The three scores were positively associated with each other., Conclusions: Fair levels of knowledge, risk perception and perception towards preventive measures were reported. Reciprocal relationships between the outcomes and a relevant relationship with vaccine hesitancy were highlighted. The primary aim was to evaluate the burnout prevalence among healthcare workers (HCWs) in intensive care units (ICUs) and emergency departments (EDs) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The secondary aim was to identify factors associated with burnout in this population. A systematic review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines by searching PubMed, Embase, PsychINFO, and Scopus from 1 January to 24 November 2020. Studies with information about burnout prevalence/level during the pandemic regarding ICU/ED HCWs were eligible. A total of 927 records were identified. The selection resulted in 11 studies. Most studies were conducted in April/May 2020. Samples ranged from 15 to 12,596 participants. The prevalence of overall burnout ranged from 49.3% to 58%. Nurses seemed to be at higher risk. Both socio-demographic and work-related features were associated with burnout. Many pandemic-related variables were associated with burnout, e.g., shortage in resources, worry regarding COVID-19, and stigma. This review highlighted a substantial burnout prevalence among ICU/ED HCWs. However, this population has presented a high burnout prevalence for a long time, and there is not sufficient evidence to understand if such prevalence is currently increased. It also outlined modifiable factors and the need to improve emergency preparedness both from an individual and structural level.

Given the limited evidence of school closure effectiveness in containing the pandemic and the consequences for young people, reopening schools with appropriate measures is essential. This overview aimed to describe the main measures planned for the 2020-2021 academic year within the WHO European Region. A rapid systematic review of scientific databases was also performed. The websites of the government, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Education of European Region countries were searched through 1 October for official documents about the prevention and management of suspected cases/confirmed cases in primary and secondary schools. To find further suggestions, a rapid systematic review was conducted through 20 October searching Pubmed, Scopus, and Embase. There were 23 official documents. France, Luxembourg, Malta, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, the UK, Spain, and San Marino were considered. Performing the rapid review, 855 records were identified and 7 papers were finally selected. The recommendations mostly agreed. However, there was no consensus on the criteria for the return to school of students that tested positive, and the flexibility between attendance at school and remote education for high-risk children often varied. School closure was commonly considered as the very last resort for COVID-19 control. Studies are required to evaluate the impact of different recommendations during this autumn term.
