Complex networks and network reconstruction have now become powerful tools for exploring relationships and interactions within systems across various fields to identify patterns and increase predictive accuracy. It provides a structured framework to investigate the relations or connections among individual components or entities within a system. Recently, the importance of the healthcare prediction model in life‐saving efforts has increased. A model is proposed for health prediction that uses network reconstruction methods to build a network from available information, representing features as nodes and the relationships between them as edges. Subsequently, a method is introduced to calculate the value of the decision parameter (α$$ \alpha $$) for predicting an individual's health status. The proposed model shows substantial improvement over the current state of the prediction model. The first aim of the proposed model is to classify an individual into their appropriate class properly. Another contribution of the proposed model is to measure the factors that are responsible for classifying an individual into a class that shows its significance and impact over the existing state‐of‐the‐art. It provides a new dimension to the prediction mode, emphasizing the importance of identifying critical features and their interdependencies for personalized health diagnostics. This study evaluates the metamaterial absorbance and sensing applications of a novel wheel‐shaped resonator with triangular spokes. Electromagnetic simulation software, CST Microwave Studio, is used to investigate the numerical results before experimental verification. The proposed absorber exhibits perfect absorption properties at 10.42 GHz, with an absorbability of 99.85%. The designed sensor has been tested for estimating the moisture content of agricultural products, specifically almond kernels. The proposed prototype exhibits an excellent figure of merit and high sensitivity of 58.14 and 11.29 GHz/moisture content percentage, respectively. Additionally, the resonant peak of the sensor shifts by approximately 430 MHz when there is a 4% incremental alteration in the moisture content of the analyzed test sample. The designed sensor shows a high linearity in detecting small variations in moisture level, making it a favorable choice for sensing applications due to its compact size and flat shape. Bandwidth assignment is a key issue in optical access networks, so an efficient mechanism is required for dynamic distribution of limited resources in the uplink channel among competing subscriber optical network units (ONUs). This paper presents a novel optimized dynamic bandwidth allocation (ODBA) algorithm for hybrid WDM/TDM passive optical networks. ODBA algorithm operates using information frame length of the subscriber's ONUs and their information arrival rate; both of these factors finalize the assigned transmission capacity to the users. The system performance under differing offered traffic loads is evaluated in terms of network throughput, average delay and channel utilization. In mobile and portable wireless application where wireless devices regularly change their position and angle it is almost unmanageable to continuously match the spatial orientation of the devices. Circularly polarized antennas could be harmonized in wide-ranging range of angles. The Microstrip antenna is some of the best commonly used antennas in applications that need circular polarization. This work offers the proposal of a circularly polarized Microstrip antenna that will work for 2.4 GHz. This range is normally used by WLAN, WPAN devices such as the 802.11 WIFI and the 802.15.4 Zigbee. We achieved polarization through the introduction of a perturbation to a basic circular Microstrip patch. Results indicate that designed Microstrip fed antenna can produce 8.11 dB directive gains. Arbitrability in the context of IPR disputes has gained popularity worldwide. In India, there is no statutory provision that mandates the adoption of ADR when it comes to IPR disputes. The lack of any legislative insight thus stands as an impediment to efficient dispute resolution. The judiciary has also not taken a consistent stand in this regard. As a result, the law on this issue is a scattered version of what it could be. To improve the business environment and IPR protection, it is important to reform the law, keeping in mind the developments that are taking place in jurisdictions across the world. This paper studies the jurisprudence that has developed in India. It analyses the principles laid down by the Supreme Court of India in Booz Allen and Hamilton v SBI Home Finance, its inconsistent application by High Courts, and concludes that there exists scope for codification and uniformity. Introduction: Perineal urethrostomy (PU) is a valid single stage option with maximum success to manage complex anterior urethral strictures. Aims: To evaluate the functional outcome of permanent PU using the Blandy technique in older patients or PU with staged reconstruction in young patients with severely diseased distal urethra. Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of 124 patients. They underwent Blandy's PU with or without Johanson stage 1. Exclusion criteria included patients with posterior urethral strictures or bladder neck contractures. Results: Mean age of patients was 54 years. Strictures due to catheterisation or instrumentation were most common – 85 (68.54%). Out of 124 patients, 71(57.3%) of them were posted for PU with Johanson stage 1 and 53 for PU only (42.7%) according to patients' choice. In patients age below 50 years, PU (N=10), PU with Johanson stage 1 (N=40) and Johanson stage 2 (N= 8) patients had mean Qmax of 20.2ml/s (17-24), 20.7ml/s (16-26), 16.375ml/s (14-18) respectively. In patients age> 50 years, PU (N=43), PU with Johanson stage 1 (N=31) and Johanson stage 2 (N= 4) patients had mean Qmax of 16.41ml/s (11-24), 17.25ml/s (11-25) and14.75 ml/s (12-17) respectively.For patients with only PU, 8/53 patients (15.09%) required secondary intervention (stomal dilatation N=6 and TURP N=2) while in PU with Johanson stage 1 patients, 10/71(14.08%) required secondary intervention (Stomal dilatation N=6, 8.45% and TURP N= 4, 5.6%). 112/124 (90.32%) were considered successful. Hybrid wavelength division multiplexed (WDM)/Time division multiplexed (TDM) virtual passive optical networks (VPONs) are considered to provide cost efficient solutions for ever increasing bandwidth requirements of next generation optical access networks. With the development in technology effective bandwidth assignment has emerged as a major concern area. In this paper a novel heavy load optimized dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm (HLO-DBA) is proposed for the hybrid WDM/TDM VPONs. Multi point control protocol of Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) is implemented for WDM/TDM VPONs subscribers. The excess bandwidth of lightly loaded subscribers is distributed among heavily loaded users through an efficient mechanism. The proposed technique effectively utilize the idle period between the last transmitted REPORT messages from previous transmission cycle (t-1) to the first GRANT message in the current cycle (t). Optical network units (ONUs) connecting the subscribers are scheduled in such a way so as to reduce the wastage of bandwidth. Performance evaluation of HLO-DBA in terms of quality of service (QOS) metrics like throughput and average delay is done to validate the optimization of the proposed mechanism. INTRODUCTION: Carotid artery intima-media thickness (CIMT) measurement is a non-invasive method to diagnose early atherosclerosis or predict the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke. Increased CIMT in the common carotid segment is accompanied by yearly risk of 0.7%- 2.2% in coronary heart disease, 0.4%-1.8% for stroke and from 1.8% to 3.2% for total cardiovascular disease. The aim of the study is to find the predictor role of CIMT in detection of severe form of Coronary artery disease (CAD). METHODS: 100 Cases selected from CAD patients who underwent PTCA. CIMT measurements done in all at common carotid artery level. CIMT measurements compared with number of coronary arteries involved using appropriate statistical tests. RESULTS: Baseline characteristics like mean age, male sex, obesity, dyslipidemia, diabetes, hypertension, smoking and family history were comparable to regional prevalence. The mean CIMT was 1.11 mm. the mean CIMT in single vessel disease, double vessel disease, and triple vessel disease & Left main coronary artery (LMCA) groups was 0.96, 1.15, 1.34 and 1.25 mm respectively which was significant P <0.001. Univariate and multivariate linear regression analysis showed a significant correlation between CIMT and severity of CAD with the R = 0.3 & P :'.S 0.001. CONCLUSION: CIMT independently predicts presence of severe CAD in form of multivessel and LMCA involvement. Deploying CIMT evaluation in low and intermediate risk individual(s) to detect severe form of CAD will be a good strategy in resource limited setting specially where invasive modalities are not easily available. Hybrid WDM/TDM optical access network has evolved as a cost-effective solution to the higher requirements of bandwidth in the access network. Bandwidth allocation and scheduling mechanism have become critical issues in the optical access networks. In this paper, a novel upstream bandwidth optimization hybrid scheduling algorithm has been proposed in which optical network units can employ tunable wavelength for upstream transmission with a single optical source. Resources allocations have been done utilizing multi point control protocol and for wavelength scheduling the shortest length of channels have been computed.
