The article highlights a study which investigated the pharmacokinetic parameters of the levofloxacin drug in White Leghorn birds. The drug is a third generation fluoroquinolone used for treating several bacterial and fungal diseases. After single dose intravenous administration, levofloxacin was rapidly distributed and eliminated from the body. The drug was rapidly absorbed and slowly eliminated from the body after oral administration.

The article discusses an experiment which evaluated the genotoxicity potential of cypermethrin pesticide on wistar rats. The genotoxicity potential of the chemical was studied using Micronuclei assay, Commet Assay and Chromosomal Aberration assay. The toxicity pattern of cypermethrin was found to be in dose-dependent manner.
