Drawida willsi was the first species of earthworm reported from Chhattisgarh state by Michaelsen in 1907. After that, only one survey of earthworm has been carried out there in 2021. Here we present a first-hand information on the survey of earthworms carried out in Chhattisgarh state in the year 2022. The study documents 12 species belonging to 4 families. Among these, Dichogaster affinis (Michaelsen, 1890) and Polypheretima elongata (Perrier, 1872) are exotic peregrine species. Species such as Drawida limella Gates, 1934, Lennogaster chittagongensis (Stephenson, 1917) and Octochaetona compta (Gates, 1945) expanded their distribution to central India. The study also noted the presence of microplastic for the first time in the ingesta of an earthworm (Lampito mauritii Kinberg, 1867) from India. Further detailed survey would add more species into the faunal list of Chhattisgarh, even species new to science.

Electric Vehicles (EVs) have been shown to be better for the environment since they emit lesser air pollutants compared to fuel-based vehicles. High penetration of EVs in the distribution network contributes to the increment of capital investment in smart grid technologies. This is because EVs' charging operation involves a considerably high level of electricity due to the size of EVs' battery charging period. Poor scheduling of EVs charging operation will lead to an increment in electricity consumption. This will then lead to overloading of distribution network, voltage quality degradation, power loss increment, and dispatch of uneconomical energy sources. Hence, coordinated, and smart charging schemes are vital in order to reduce charging costs. This paper proposes an optimized EV battery charging and discharging scheduling model using an ordinary differential equation (ODE) based on three charging scenarios. The daily charging and discharging schedule of EVs are optimized using optimal control. The result shows that the proposed optimized charging and discharging scheduling model reduces the charging cost up to approximately 50%.

Nuclear Experiment - Abstract
Here we publish three years of data for the UCNtau experiment performed at the Los Alamos Ultra Cold Neutron Facility at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center. These data are in addition to our previously published data. Our goals in this paper are to better understand and quantify systematic uncertainties and to improve the lifetime statistical precision. We report a measured value for these runs from 2020-2022 for the neutron lifetime of 877.94+/-0.37 s; when all the data from UCNtau are averaged we report an updated value for the lifetime of 877.82+/-0.22 (statistical)+0.20-0.17 (systematic) s. We utilized improved monitor detectors, reduced our correction due to UCN upscattering on ambient gas, and employed four different main UCN detector geometries both to reduce the correction required for rate dependence and explore potential contributions due to phase space evolution.

The JETSCAPE Collaboration reports a new determination of the jet transport parameter $\hat{q}$ in the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) using Bayesian Inference, incorporating all available inclusive hadron and jet yield suppression data measured in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and the LHC. This multi-observable analysis extends the previously published JETSCAPE Bayesian Inference determination of $\hat{q}$, which was based solely on a selection of inclusive hadron suppression data. JETSCAPE is a modular framework incorporating detailed dynamical models of QGP formation and evolution, and jet propagation and interaction in the QGP. Virtuality-dependent partonic energy loss in the QGP is modeled as a thermalized weakly-coupled plasma, with parameters determined from Bayesian calibration using soft-sector observables. This Bayesian calibration of $\hat{q}$ utilizes Active Learning, a machine--learning approach, for efficient exploitation of computing resources. The experimental data included in this analysis span a broad range in collision energy and centrality, and in transverse momentum. In order to explore the systematic dependence of the extracted parameter posterior distributions, several different calibrations are reported, based on combined jet and hadron data; on jet or hadron data separately; and on restricted kinematic or centrality ranges of the jet and hadron data. Tension is observed in comparison of these variations, providing new insights into the physics of jet transport in the QGP and its theoretical formulation., Comment: 20 pages, 10 figures, 2 tables, submitted to PRC; updated acknowledgements

Recently, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD) have attracted a lot of attention because they can host a number of novel phases, including charge density wave and topological superconductivity. This class of compounds is significant from application and fundamental standpoints. Here we report on the synthesis and characterization of Janus TMD compound TiSeS, which is a subclass of TMDs. We observe characters of filamentary superconductivity in TiSeS, which was not reported in earlier studies. Magnetization measurements (ZFCW& FCW) as well as isothermal magnetization indicates towards type-II superconductivity whereas transport measurements lacks of zero resistivity due to possible weak inter-grain connectivity. The observed behavior can be safely attributed to filamentary superconductivity in TiSeS. Further studies need to be carried out to determine the origin of this superconducting phase.

We investigate the spectroscopic characteristics of Intermediate Luminosity Red Transients (ILRTs), a class of elusive objects with peak luminosity between that of classical novae and standard supernovae. We present the extensive optical and near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopic monitoring of four ILRTs, namely NGC 300 2008OT-1, AT 2019abn, AT 2019ahd and AT 2019udc. First we focus on the evolution of the most prominent spectral features observed in the low resolution spectra, then we discuss more in detail the high resolution spectrum collected for NGC 300 2008OT-1 with the Very Large Telescope equipped with UVES. Finally we analyse late time spectra of NGC 300 2008OT-1 and AT 2019ahd through comparisons with both synthetic and observed spectra. Balmer and Ca lines dominate the optical spectra, revealing the presence of slowly moving circumstellar medium (CSM) around the objects. The line luminosity of H$\alpha$, H$\beta$ and Ca II NIR triplet presents a double peaked evolution with time, possibly indicative of interaction between fast ejecta and the slow CSM. The high resolution spectrum of NGC 300 2008OT-1 reveals a complex circumstellar environment, with the transient being surrounded by a slow ($\sim$30 km s$^{-1}$) progenitor wind. At late epochs, optical spectra of NGC 300 2008OT-1 and AT 2019ahd show broad ($\sim$2500 km s$^{-1}$) emission features at $\sim$6170 A and $\sim$7000 A which are unprecedented for ILRTs. We find that these lines originate most likely from the blending of several narrow lines, possibly of iron-peak elements., Comment: 28 pages, 19 figures. Submitted to A&A

Astrophysics - Solar and Stellar Astrophysics - Abstract
We investigate the photometric characteristics of a sample of Intermediate Luminosity Red Transients (ILRTs), a class of elusive objects with peak luminosity between that of classical novae and standard supernovae. We present the multi-wavelength photometric follow-up of four ILRTs, namely NGC 300 2008OT-1, AT 2019abn, AT 2019ahd and AT 2019udc. Through the analysis and modelling of their spectral energy distribution and bolometric light curves we infer the physical parameters associated with these transients. All four objects display a single peaked light curve which ends in a linear decline in magnitudes at late phases. A flux excess with respect to a single black body emission is detected in the infrared domain for three objects in our sample, a few months after maximum. This feature, commonly found in ILRTs, is interpreted as a sign of dust formation. Mid infrared monitoring of NGC 300 2008OT-1 761 days after maximum allows us to infer the presence of $\sim$10$^{-3}$-10$^{-5}$ M$_{\odot}$ of dust, depending on the chemical composition and the grain size adopted. The late time decline of the bolometric light curves of the considered ILRTs is shallower than expected for $^{56}$Ni decay, hence requiring an additional powering mechanism. James Webb Space Telescope observations of AT 2019abn prove that the object has faded below its progenitor luminosity in the mid-infrared domain, five years after its peak. Together with the disappearance of NGC 300 2008OT-1 in Spitzer images seven years after its discovery, this supports the terminal explosion scenario for ILRTs. With a simple semi-analytical model we try to reproduce the observed bolometric light curves in the context of few M$_{\odot}$ of material ejected at few 10$^{3}$ km s$^{-1}$ and enshrouded in an optically thick circumstellar medium., Comment: 21 pages, 15 figures plus 20 additional pages of data in appendix. A new framework, called x-scape, for the combined study of both hard and soft transverse momentum sectors in high energy proton-proton ($p$-$p$) and proton-nucleus ($p$-$A$) collisions is set up. A dynamical initial state is set up using the 3d-Glauber model with transverse locations of hotspots within each incoming nucleon. A hard scattering that emanates from two colliding hotspots is carried out using the Pythia generator. Initial state radiation from the incoming hard partons is carried out in a new module called I-matter, which includes the longitudinal location of initial splits. The energy-momentum of both the initial hard partons and their associated beam remnants is removed from the hot spots, depleting the energy-momentum available for the formation of the bulk medium. Outgoing showers are simulated using the matter generator, and results are presented for both cases, allowing for and not allowing for energy loss. First comparisons between this hard-soft model and single inclusive hadron and jet data from $p$-$p$ and minimum bias $p$-$Pb$ collisions are presented. Single hadron spectra in $p$-$p$ are used to carry out a limited (in number of parameters) Bayesian calibration of the model. Fair comparisons with data are indicative of the utility of this new framework. Theoretical studies of the correlation between jet $p_T$ and event activity at mid and forward rapidity are carried out., Comment: 18 pages, 15 figures

Astrophysics - High Energy Astrophysical Phenomena ,General Relativity and Quantum Cosmology - Abstract
We present results from a search for X-ray/gamma-ray counterparts of gravitational-wave (GW) candidates from the third observing run (O3) of the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA (LVK) network using the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (Swift-BAT). The search includes 636 GW candidates received in low latency, 86 of which have been confirmed by the offline analysis and included in the third cumulative Gravitational-Wave Transient Catalogs (GWTC-3). Targeted searches were carried out on the entire GW sample using the maximum--likelihood NITRATES pipeline on the BAT data made available via the GUANO infrastructure. We do not detect any significant electromagnetic emission that is temporally and spatially coincident with any of the GW candidates. We report flux upper limits in the 15-350 keV band as a function of sky position for all the catalog candidates. For GW candidates where the Swift-BAT false alarm rate is less than 10$^{-3}$ Hz, we compute the GW--BAT joint false alarm rate. Finally, the derived Swift-BAT upper limits are used to infer constraints on the putative electromagnetic emission associated with binary black hole mergers., Comment: 50 pages, 10 figures, 4 tables

Nuclear Experiment - Abstract
The past two decades have yielded several new measurements and reanalysis of older measurements of the neutron lifetime. These have led to a 4.4 standard deviation discrepancy between the most precise measurements of the neutron decay rate producing protons in cold neutron beams and the most precise lifetime measured in neutron storage experiments. Here we publish an analysis of the recently published UCN aimed a searching for an explanation of this difference using the model proposed by Koch and Hummel.

We present the first limit on $g_{A\gamma}$ coupling constant using the Bragg-Primakoff conversion based on an exposure of 1107.5 kg days of data from the CDEX-1B experiment at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. The data are consistent with the null signal hypothesis, and no excess signals are observed. Limits of the coupling $g_{A\gamma}<2.08\times10^{-9}$ GeV$^{-1}$ (95\% C.L.) are derived for axions with mass up to 100 eV/$c^2$. Within the hadronic model of KSVZ, our results exclude axion mass $>5.3~\rm{eV}/c^2$ at 95\% C.L., Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures

Quantum Physics - Abstract
In computational complexity theory, it remains to be understood whether $\textbf{BQP}$ is the same as $\textbf{BPP}$. Prima facie, one would expect that this mathematical question is quite unrelated to the foundational question of whether the quantum state is an element of reality or of the observer's knowledge. By contrast, here we argue that the complexity of computation in a physical theory may constrain its physical interpretation. Specifically in the quantum case, we argue that a subjective interpretation of the quantum mechanics favors the proposition $\textbf{BQP} = \textbf{BPP}$. Therefore, if $\textbf{BPP} \subset \textbf{BQP}$, then a realist interpretation of quantum mechanics would be favored., Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures

Condensed Matter - Materials Science - Abstract
The high ionic conducting sodium superionic conductor Na3Zr2Si2PO12 -NaI composites have been prepared successfully via solid state reaction route. As the NaI content increases, the ionic conductivity significantly changes. The composites with 4% NaI show a maximum ionic conductivity of ~ 3 x 10-4 {\Omega}-1cm-1 at 200oC which is one order of magnitude rise as compared to pristine sample. Further crystal structure and surface morphology also reveal the formation of a glassy phase due to the presence of Na-Si-P-O-I interaction., Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures, Presented at 9th IAPT National Student Symposium on Physics (NSSP-2022)
