Cardio‐ankle vascular index (CAVI) is an innovative indicator of large‐artery stiffness, which is evaluated by the pulse wave velocity (PWV) measurement. Mortality and morbidity due to cardiovascular diseases among the general public with high‐risk conditions such as hypertension are usually associated with arterial stiffness. CAVI modelizes the hazard of future cardiovascular events with standard risk factors. Additionally, the "European Society of Hypertension and Cardiology" included the aortic PWV assessment in managing hypertension in their updated guidelines in 2007. We conducted this systematic review to collect, summarize, and evaluate the evidence from relevant reported studies. A literature search of four databases was conducted comprehensively until February 2024. Cardiovascular events are the primary outcome of interest in this study, cardiovascular events that have been defined as major adverse cardiac events include "heart failure", "stroke", "myocardial infarction", "cardiovascular deaths", "stable angina pectoris", "coronary revascularization", and "unstable angina pectoris". We included five studies with a 11 698 sample size in this systematic review. All five prospective studies investigated composite cardiovascular events as an outcome. Three of them revealed a statistically significant prediction ability of CAVI to assess Cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. Further analysis is required. Current evidence is insufficient to confirm the predictive power of CAVI in the assessment of cardiovascular risk in hypertensive patients. CAVI is modestly associated with incidents of CVD risk. FRB 20220912A is a repeating Fast Radio Burst (FRB) that was discovered in Fall 2022 and remained highly active for several months. We report the detection of 35 FRBs from 541 h of follow-up observations of this source using the recently refurbished Allen Telescope Array, covering 1344 MHz of bandwidth primarily centred at 1572 MHz. All 35 FRBs were detected in the lower half of the band with non-detections in the upper half and covered fluences from 4–431 Jy-ms (median = 48.27 Jy-ms). We find consistency with previous repeater studies for a range of spectrotemporal features including: bursts with downward frequency drifting over time; a positive correlation between bandwidth and centre frequency; and a decrease in sub-burst duration over time. We report an apparent decrease in the centre frequency of observed bursts over the two months of the observing campaign (corresponding to a drop of 6.21 ± 0.76 MHz per d). We predict a cut-off fluence for FRB 20220912A of F max ≲ 104 Jy-ms, for this source to be consistent with the all-sky rate, and find that FRB 20220912A significantly contributed to the all-sky FRB rate at a level of a few per cent for fluences of ∼100 Jy-ms. Finally, we investigate characteristic time-scales and sub-burst periodicities and find (a) a median inter-subburst time-scale of 5.82 ± 1.16 ms in the multi-component bursts and (b) no evidence of strict periodicity even in the most evenly spaced multi-component burst in the sample. Our results demonstrate the importance of wideband observations of FRBs, and provide an important set of observational parameters against which to compare FRB progenitor and emission mechanism models. Background: Stroke is a major cause of adult disability, prompting the exploration of innovative rehabilitation methods. Virtual rehabilitation (VR), leveraging technological advances, has gained popularity as a treatment for stroke recovery., Methodology: The authors conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published in English within the last decade, adhering to the PRISMA guidelines. The authors searched databases such as Medline/PubMed, and the Cochrane Library using specific search keywords and Medical Subject Headings (MeSH). The methodological quality was assessed using the PEDro scale, focusing on RCTs involving adult stroke patients undergoing VR rehabilitation, with outcomes related to motor function and quality of life., Results: The authors included 15 studies in our meta-analysis. VR rehabilitation offers several advantages over traditional therapy, such as enhanced feedback and increased patient motivation. Engaging VR environments helps improve focus during treatment, potentially boosting recovery from post-stroke impairments. VR therapies significantly benefit motor function, which can improve activities of daily living and overall quality of life., Conclusion: VR has demonstrated efficacy in improving motor function and quality of life for stroke survivors. Future research should explore patient variability and refine intervention methods. The prevalence of thyroid cancer (TC) is more common in women and is up to 43% in patients aged between 45-65 years. The battle against TC is hampered by the lack of effective diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. The effectiveness of surgical procedures, such as thyroidectomy and nutraceutical treatments, are accompanied by several difficulties and still require further research. Alternatively, the DNA-damaging traditional model of chemotherapy is linked to poor solubility, untoward systemic effects, and associated cytotoxicity, instituting an urgent need to establish a specialized, factual, and reliable delivery tool. In order to overcome the limitations of conventional delivery systems, nanotechnology-based delivery tools have shown the potential of articulating endless inherent implementations. The probable benefits of emerging nanotechnology-based diagnostic techniques include rapid screening and early illness diagnosis, which draws investigators to investigate and assess the possibility of this treatment for TC. Subsequently, organic (e.g., liposomes, polymer-based, and dendrimers) and inorganic (e.g., gold, carbon-based, mesoporous silica, magnetic, and quantum dots) NPs and hybrids thereof (liposome-silica, chitosan-carbon, and cell membrane-coated) have been projected for TC biomarker screening, therapy, and detection, providing better outcomes than traditional diagnostic and treatment techniques. Therefore, this review aims to offer a broad perspective on nanoplatform in TC, accompanied by present and potential future treatment options and screening techniques.
