Automatic shifting of visual attention was investigated using the Simon task in schizophrenic patients with prevailing negative symptomatology. Reaction times were recorded in condition of spatial correspondence and non-correspondence between side of spatially defined responses and side of stimulus presentation. Schizophrenic patients showed asymmetries between the two hemifields attributable to a slowing down of reaction times for non-corresponding trials in the left hemifield. These results are interpreted as a deficit in the process that inhibits the automatic corresponding response, and in general as a difficulty to inhibit dependence on external stimuli, in the left hemifield/right hemisphere.

We report the results of a survey to determine the prevalence of canine leishmaniasis and the presence of sand flies in northwestern Italy, where autochthonous foci of canine leishmaniasis have not been reported. Active foci of canine leishmaniasis were identified, which suggests that the disease is now also endemic in continental climate areas.

Las marcas y la moda se remiten mutuamente, rescatan la diferencia y convocan a la mirada.A través del estudio de los posters de una marca rosarina de jeans podemos reconocer que el cuerpo se funde con la marca y ésta funciona a modo de rasgo fundante de la subjetividad, una suerte de señal, de convocatoria a la mirada a partir de lo que no está presente. Fotografía y marca se articulan en tanto existe la mirada del espectador, una mirada subjetiva y cultural al mismo tiempo, intencional e ilimitada. Una mirada sin la cual la imagen no tendría razón de ser.
