A Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) vive um processo de juvenilização que implica numa modificação do cotidiano escolar e nas relações que se estabelecem entre os sujeitos. Sabe-se que os educadores são centrais no processo de escolarização e na construção dos currículos, sendo necessário reconhecê-los como intelectuais capazes de resistir a ordenamentos rígidos. Dessa forma, o objetivo da pesquisa foi compreender os processos de construção curricular de uma educadora de ciências em uma EJA cada vez mais jovem. Esse trabalho baliza-se nas teorias críticas do currículo, em autores como Gimeno Sacristán e Miguel Arroyo. Configura-se como um estudo que aposta nas contribuições da história oral de vida e da observação com inspiração etnográfica do cotidiano escolar para entender a produção curricular. Aspectos da vida pessoal da educadora da EJA são determinantes no caminho da docência, como inclusive incidem sobre o exercício de sua prática curricular, em especial, no processo de seleção de conteúdos afins à área da saúde e meio ambiente. O funcionamento do sistema educativo posto em ação pela força de atuação de âmbitos diversos, como o âmbito da atividade político-administrativa; o subsistema de participação e controle; a ordenação do sistema educativo; o sistema de produção de meios (recursos, materiais); os âmbitos de criação culturais, científicos, etc; subsistema técnico pedagógico: formadores, especialistas e pesquisadores em educação; o subsistema de inovação e o subsistema prático pedagógico, favorece práticas curriculares estabilizadas e homogêneas pouco permeáveis à presença desafiadora dos jovens. Currículos prescritos também não se organizam em direção às juventudes. Assim, uma primeira aproximação ao âmbito prático-pedagógico, no qual se realiza o trabalho curricular da educadora, revela semelhanças a qualquer aula de ciências: conteúdos canônicos como doenças infectocontagiosas, corpo humano, água e tarefas como cópia do quadro negro, lista de atividades e visto no caderno. A questão do trabalho é abordada de forma incidental. Todavia, mobilizada pelo entendimento que é preciso garantir a presença dos educandos e sua disposição pela matéria, a educadora procura considerar seus interesses no plano da definição curricular, produz recursos, emprega outras metodologias que não apenas a expositiva e aposta em um processo avaliativo sensível ao objetivo de garantir a integralidade da escolarização dos alunos. O diálogo é algo que busca, mas reconhece o quanto é difícil instituí-lo no cotidiano das aulas. Sua formação em serviço na EJA e o contato com os educandos foram fundamentais para realizar o movimento entre a defesa de conteúdos rígidos a serem cumpridos e a tentativa de produzir relações dialógicas que valorem no plano do currículo os interesses dos educandos. Assim, sua prática curricular na EJA se transforma ao longo do tempo e é impactada pela possibilidade de atuar a bastante tempo na mesma escola, pelas vivências formativas que experiencia e pelas oportunidades inusuais de trabalhar integrada com outra docente. Sua visão sobre as juventudes é a de um momento de grandes conflitos e de grande aprendizado. Fala sobre como a princípio as relações interpessoais são interditadas por esses conflitos que com o tempo aprende-se a lidar e a reconhecer a história de vida de cada um. Revela que ser professora da EJA a ensinou a ser mais flexível, mais humana. The Youth and Adult Education (EJA) lives a process of juvenilization that implies a modification of the school routine and the relationships that are established between the subjects. Educators are known to be central to the schooling process and curriculum construction, being necessary to recognize them as intellectuals capable of resisting rigid ordinances. Thus, the objective of the research was to understand the processes of curricular construction of a science educator in an increasingly younger EJA. This work is theoretically based on the critical theories of the curriculum, in authors such as Gimeno Sacristán and Miguel Arroyo. It is configured as a study in which the potentialities of oral life history and of the observation with ethnographic’s inspiration were used to understand curriculum production. Is noticed that aspects of EJA's educator personal life, not only led her to the path of teaching, but strongly influence her practices, especially the selection of content, which focuses on health and environment. The functioning of the education system put into action by the force of action of various spheres, such as the scope of political and administrative activity; the participation and control subsystem; the ordering of the education system; the system of production of means (resources, materials); the cultural, scientific scopes of creation; technical pedagogical subsystem: educators, specialists and researchers in education; The innovation subsystem and the pedagogical practical subsystem act to favor a stabilized and homogeneous curricular practices that are not permeable to the challenging presence of the EJA students. Prescribed curricula do not organize themselves toward youth either. Thus, a first approximation to the practical-pedagogical scope, in which the educator's curricular work is carried out, reveals similarities to any science class: canonical contents such as infectious diseases, human body, water and tasks such as copy of the blackboard, list of activities and checks the notebooks. The work issue is addressed incidentally. However, mobilized by the understanding that it is necessary to guarantee the presence of the students and their willingness for the subject, the educator seeks to consider their interests in terms of curriculum definition, produces resources, employs other methodologies than just the expository and choose an evaluation process sensitive to the purpose that is to guarantee the completeness of the students' schooling. Dialogue is something that seeks, but recognizes how difficult it is to institute it in everyday classes. Her in-service training at EJA and contact with learners were instrumental in making the movement between defending rigid content and trying to produce dialogic relationships that value the interests of learners at the curriculum level. Thus, her curricular practice in EJA changes over time and is impacted by the possibility of working for a long time in the same school, the formative experiences and the unusual opportunities to work integrated with another teacher. Her vision of youth is that it is a time of great conflict and great learning. It talks about how at first interpersonal relationships are interdicted by these conflicts that over time one learns to cope and to recognize each one's life story. It reveals that being an EJA teacher taught her to be more flexible, more humane.

The starting point for the conception of the material was the analysis of life stories of workers who exercised political militancy in the first half of the twentieth century. These and other sources raised the study not only of the struggle of workers in this period, but of various episodes in Brazilian history and human rights issues. The option of working with diverse sources makes it possible to stimulate the reading and interpretation of documents and varied temporalities and the recognition of the student as an active subject in the teaching-learning relationship, and not as a mere receiver of contents. In times of changes and resignifications of labor relations, reflecting on the history of labor rights is a fundamental theme for teaching and learning history. In this direction, we have chosen to follow the paths of the history of labor rights, privileging documentary analysis and criticism, an essential activity for the construction of historical knowledge. Este trabalho tem como objetivo a proposição de atividades sobre a história dos direitos do trabalho nos séculos XX e XXI para alunos de nível médio da educação de jovens e adultos utilizando fontes históricas. O ponto de partida para a concepção do material foi a análise dos relatos de histórias de vida de trabalhadores que exerceram militância política na primeira metade do século XX. Essas e as outras fontes levantadas possibilitam o estudo não só da luta dos trabalhadores neste período, mas de diversos episódios da história do Brasil e de temas relacionados aos direitos humanos. A opção pelo trabalho com fontes diversificadas possibilita o estímulo à leitura e interpretação de documentos e temporalidades variadas e o reconhecimento do aluno como sujeito ativo na relação de ensino-aprendizagem, e não como mero receptor de conteúdos. Em tempos de mudanças e ressignificações nas relações de trabalho, refletir sobre a história dos direitos do trabalho consiste em tema fundamental para o ensino e a aprendizagem de história. Nessa direção, optamos por percorrer os caminhos da história dos direitos do trabalho privilegiando a análise e crítica documental, atividade essencial para a construção do conhecimento histórico.

In the light of the changes experienced by capital in the last decades, the impacts on the productive process and the reorganization of the State, we seek to understand the existing mediations between Proeja's educational practices and the world of work. We argue that these practices express a project of vocational training guided by the logic of the precariousness of work and a movement of professional (re) insertion impacted by the disintegration of the school's integrative promise and the civilizational standards experienced in our dependent and unequal capitalist form. We indicate that the actions of the Brazilian State for the training and professional qualification of workers have served the purpose of conforming these same subjects to the more immediate interests of capital and adapting them to the new morphology of the world of work. Despite the contradictions emanating from policies of this nature - by making it possible to expand schooling and open opportunities for improvements in living conditions (even if restricted), we questioned Proeja's ability to fulfill the pretensions with which it is committed. We use the perspective and categories proper to historical-dialectical materialism and the meaning of unitary education. By instruments, we have selected publications and institutional documents of the IFRJ, questionnaires (with open and closed questions) applied to the incoming, graduating and graduate students subjects. To this latter group was also assigned the focus group technique and to the course and internship coordinators, interviews. We conclude that even if we register impacts of different natures in the life of the subjects served by the Program, they occur in the permanent reduction of rights and in the repeated denial of full access to emancipation. The content of the promises of professional (re) insertion of the IFRJ to Proeja's student subjects corroborate to form and conform subjects to the horizon of the precariousness of social life and work Esta tese tem por objeto a Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) integrada à Educação Profissional (EP) no nível médio a partir da experiência do Programa Nacional de Integração da Educação Profissional com a Educação Básica na Modalidade de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (Proeja) no Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ), especificamente em cinco campi ofertantes, a saber: Arraial do Cabo, Duque de Caxias, Nilópolis, Pinheiral e Rio de Janeiro. À luz das mudanças vivenciadas pelo capital nas últimas décadas, de seus impactos sobre processo produtivo e na reorganização do Estado, buscamos entender as mediações existentes entre as práticas educativas do Proeja e o mundo do trabalho. Defendemos que nestas práticas se expressa um projeto de formação profissional orientado pela lógica da precarização do trabalho e um movimento próprio de (re) inserção profissional impactado pela desintegração da promessa integradora da escola e dos padrões civilizatórios experienciados em nossa forma capitalista dependente e desigual. Indicamos que as ações do Estado brasileiro para a formação e qualificação profissional dos trabalhadores têm servido ao propósito de conformar estes mesmos sujeitos aos interesses mais imediatos do capital e adaptá-los à nova morfologia do mundo do trabalho. Apesar das contradições emanadas por políticas desta natureza ao possibilitar a ampliação da escolarização e abrir oportunidades de melhorias da condição de vida (ainda que restritas), questionamos a possibilidade do Proeja cumprir as pretensões com os quais se encontra comprometido. Valemo-nos da perspectiva e categorias próprias do materialismo histórico-dialético e do sentido da educação unitária. Por instrumentos, elegemos publicações e documentos institucionais do IFRJ, questionários (com questões abertas e fechadas) aplicados aos sujeitos discentes ingressantes, concluintes e egressos. A este último grupo destinou-se também a técnica de grupo focal e aos coordenadores de curso e de estágio, entrevistas. Concluímos que mesmo que registremos impactos de diferentes naturezas na vida dos sujeitos atendidos pelo Programa, os mesmos se dão no permanente amesquinhamento de direitos e na negação reiterada do acesso pleno à emancipação. O conteúdo das promessas de (re) inserção profissional do IFRJ aos sujeitos discentes do Proeja corroboram para formar e conformar sujeitos ao horizonte da precarização da vida social e trabalho

A Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) é uma modalidade de ensino voltada para um público que não teve a oportunidade de estudar no tempo esperado e atende a uma demanda significativa de educandos. Sabe-se que os educandos são centrais no processo de escolarização e na construção dos currículos, sendo necessário repensar e reestruturar os saberes de forma a atender os anseios e necessidades educativas deles. Neste sentido, é necessário produzir currículos de Ciências e Biologia que melhor atendam o público da EJA. Dessa forma, o objetivo da pesquisa foi compreender os sentidos que os educandos da EJA dão ao ensino científico, isto é, quais sentidos os educandos da EJA produzem em relação à escola, tendo como ênfase a disciplina escolar Biologia. Como metodologia utilizou-se questionário e entrevista buscando entender quem são os educandos do ponto de vista socioeconômico e cultural, seus percursos escolares e suas ideias sobre a escola e a EJA, bem como os sentidos sobre o currículo da Biologia escolar. Percebe-se que os educandos da EJA possuem diversificadas experiências de vida e trajetórias de escolarização e que o abandono e retorno deles para a escola perpassam por diferentes fatores que vão além do mundo do trabalho. Observou-se que os educandos consideram a escola de modo geral importante para o seu desenvolvimento cognitivo e pessoal, e afirmam gostar muito do colégio onde estudam. Além disso, os educandos destacaram a explicação dos professores como sendo imprescindível no processo de aprendizagem. Isso indica que o professor tem um papel importante no trabalho de mediação dos saberes escolares, o qual é indispensável na visão dos educandos. Esses escolhem a EJA por considerá-la como a possibilidade de prosseguir/concluir os estudos, recuperar o tempo perdido e assim avançar em direção aos seus objetivos, sejam estes de caráter pessoal e/ou profissional, de mudança na situação ocupacional ou de oportunidade para ingressar no ensino superior. Seus projetos aparecem vinculados à possibilidade de obter melhores condições de vida através do conhecimento adquirido na escola. Além disso, os educandos consideram o conhecimento de forma geral essencial para sua formação e vida e em relação à disciplina Biologia julgam importante por se tratar de conhecimentos em relação ao ser humano e ao meio ambiente em que vivem, assim como reconhecem a contribuição dos conhecimentos biológicos para o seu cotidiano. Youth and Adult Education (EJA) is a teaching modality aimed at an audience that has not had an opportunity to study in the expected time and attends to a significant demand of learners. It is known that learners are central to the schooling process and the construction of curricula, and it is necessary to rethink and restructure the knowledges in order to meet their educational desires and necessities. In this sense, it is necessary to produce curricula of Sciences and Biology that better serve the public of the EJA. Thus, the objective of the research was to understand the senses that the learners of the EJA give for the scientific teaching, that is to say, what senses the learners of the EJA produce with respect to the school, with emphasis on school discipline Biology. As methodology was used questionnaire and interview seeking to understand who the learners are from the point of view socioeconomic and cultural, their school paths and their ideas about school and an EJA, as well as the meanings about the curriculum of school Biology. It is noticed that the learners of the EJA have diversified experiences of life and trajectories of schooling and that their abandon and return to a school pass through by different factors that go beyond the world of the work. It has been observed that the learners consider school in general important for their personal and cognitive development, and affirm to like school a lot where they study. In addition, the learners highlighted an explanation of the teachers as being essential in the learning process. This indicates that the teacher has an important role in the work of mediation of school knowledges, which is indispensable in the view of learners. They choose the EJA because it is considered as the possibility to continue/complete the studies, to recover the lost time and thus to advance towards its objectives, these are of personal and/or professional character, of change in the occupational situation or of opportunity for joining higher education. Their projects are linked to the possibility of obtaining better living conditions through the knowledge acquired at school. In addition, the learners consider the general knowledge essential for their training and life and in relation to the discipline Biology they think that is important because it is knowledge about the human being and the environment in which they live, as well as they recognize the contribution of biological knowledge for their daily lives.

The aim was to problematize the teachers training, in particular of the science and biology teacher, with emphasis to act in the EJA. The research had a qualitative approach articulated to the quantitative data treatment. We analyzed papers from academic subjects of the study course related to the teaching of Science and Biology, a questionnaire was applied to 27 undergraduates and interviews were conducted with three teachers. The data analysis technique was used. The students' responses to the questionnaire and teachers' narratives were categorized based on theoretical contributions from the EJA and the training of Science and Biology teachers. Elements associated with the EJA were identified in the Supervised Stage IV discipline. Authors related to research with Youth and Adult Education were not included in the bibliography. The majority of the undergraduates related the differences between the regular education and the EJA modality to the profile of the students of the EJA, considering mainly the age group and the life experience. The interviewed teachers considered important to include EJA in the training of teachers in undergraduate courses. Also for these teachers, the organization of the time to minister the contents and the understanding of the needs, specificities and knowledge of the students of the EJA were considered relevant for the planning and teaching performance. The analysis of the conceptions of graduates and professors of this course pointed out less emphasis on the EJA and greater emphasis on regular education, which is close to results of studies on other undergraduate courses. The mainstreaming of the construction of an understanding of the EJA in different disciplines of undergraduate courses can contribute to the sensitization of students and teachers to this type of teaching. It is argued that the development of projects and the approach of the EJA in other disciplines of this course can be an indicator that other actions are necessary in the initial and / or continued formation of Science and Biology teachers to assist them in the teaching work with the youth and adult education. The results of this study may contribute to future research on EJA in the training of Science and Biology teachers. Neste estudo buscou-se analisar as concepções de licenciandos e professores sobre a EJA na formação dos Professores de Ciências e Biologia e investigar possíveis abordagens sobre a Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) em um curso de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas em uma universidade pública no estado do Rio de Janeiro. O intuito foi problematizar a formação de professores, em particular a formação do professor de Ciências e Biologia, com ênfase para atuar na EJA. A pesquisa teve abordagem qualitativa articulada ao tratamento quantitativo dos dados. Foram analisadas ementas de disciplinas acadêmicas do curso em estudo relacionadas ao ensino de Ciências e Biologia, foi aplicado um questionário a 27 licenciandos e foram realizadas entrevistas com três docentes. Utilizou-se a técnica de análise de conteúdo. As respostas dos estudantes ao questionário e as narrativas dos professores foram categorizadas com base em aportes teóricos da EJA e da formação de professores de Ciências e Biologia. Elementos associados à EJA foram identificados na ementa da disciplina Estágio Supervisionado IV. Na bibliografia das ementas não foram incluídos autores relacionados a pesquisas com Educação de Jovens e Adultos. A maioria dos licenciandos relacionou as diferenças entre o ensino regular e a modalidade EJA ao perfil dos educandos da EJA, considerando principalmente a faixa etária e a experiência de vida. Os professores entrevistados consideraram importante a inclusão da EJA na formação dos professores nos cursos de licenciatura. Também para esses professores, a organização do tempo para ministrar os conteúdos e a compreensão das necessidades, especificidades e saberes dos educandos da EJA foram considerados relevantes para o planejamento e atuação docente. A análise das concepções de licenciandos e professores desse curso de licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas apontou menor destaque para a EJA e maior destaque para o ensino regular, o que se aproxima de resultados de estudos sobre outros cursos de licenciatura. A transversalização da construção de uma compreensão da EJA em diferentes disciplinas dos cursos de licenciatura pode contribuir para a sensibilização de estudantes e professores para essa modalidade de ensino. Argumenta-se que o desenvolvimento de projetos e a abordagem da EJA em outras disciplinas desse curso pode ser um indicador de que outras ações são necessárias na formação inicial e/ou continuada de professores de Ciências e Biologia para auxiliá-los no trabalho docente com a educação de jovens e adultos. Os resultados desse estudo podem contribuir para futuras pesquisas sobre a EJA na formação de professores de Ciências e Biologia.

The research problem was built to question about the limits and possibilities of a program contributing for elementary students' autonomy which the PAC is headed for, having as main goal the correction of age-grade. Due the PAC was formulated in partnership with the Roberto Marinho Foundation, within actions involving, among others, educational materials' production headed to classes involved in the program, we propose the following objectives: confronting the sense of autonomy among Freire's perspective and the PAC´s one; analyze the occurrence of way disputes about the word autonomy among teachers involved in the project and the documents of the PAC, specifically, the History teaching didactic material. The theoretical basis of the research was anchored, among others, in the contributions of Paulo Freire, Mikhail Bakhtin. As an example of this¸the running of the Autonomy Project in Ciep Operário Vicente Mariano, located in the Complexo da Maré, west of Rio de Janeiro. For being a qualitative study from a methodological point of view, we conducted a survey and analysis of the Roberto Marinho Foundation methodology book and History teaching educational materials, the latter being confronted by the interviewed teachers' voices who, take part in the PAC's program. We emphasize in our conclusions that the PAC is a less project that seeks to enhance the autonomy of the students, with another age-grade flow correction project. On the other hand, the History Teaching didactic material offers students a history universe limited to the simple work insertion. A presente dissertação tem como problema de pesquisa o Programa Autonomia Carioca (PAC) desenvolvido pela Secretaria Municipal de Educação do município do Rio de Janeiro, desde o ano de 2010. O problema da pesquisa foi construído ao interrogarmos sobre limites e possibilidades de um Programa contribuir para autonomia dos estudantes do Ensino Fundamental para os quais o PAC é dirigido, tendo como principal objetivo a correção da distorção idade-série. Considerando que o PAC veio a ser formulado em parceria com a Fundação Roberto Marinho com ações que envolveram, entre outras, a produção de material didático para as turmas envolvidas no Programa, propomos como objetivos: confrontar os sentidos de autonomia entre a perspectiva de freireana e a perspectiva do PAC; analisar a ocorrência de disputas de sentidos sobre a palavra autonomia entre professores envolvidos no projeto e os documentos do PAC, em específico, o material didático de Ensino de História. A fundamentação teórica da pesquisa foi ancorada, entre outras, nas contribuições de Paulo Freire, Mikhail Bakhtin. Tendo como recorte o funcionamento do Projeto Autonomia no Ciep Operário Vicente Mariano, localizado no Complexo da Maré, zona oeste do Rio de Janeiro. Por tratar-se de pesquisa de caráter qualitativo, do ponto de vista metodológico, realizamos levantamento e análise do Caderno de Metodologia da Fundação Roberto Marinho e o material didático de Ensino de História, sendo este último cotejado pelas vozes de professoras entrevistadas que participaram do PAC. Destacamos, em nossas conclusões finais que o PAC trata-se menos de um projeto que busca potencializar a autonomia dos estudantes, sendo mais um projeto de correção de fluxo idade-série, sendo que o material didático do Ensino de História oferece aos estudantes um universo histórico limitado à inserção ao trabalho simples.
