In the present paper, rapid, sensitive, selective, accurate and precise analytical methodologies were developed for the determination of the antidepressant drug mirtazapine (MIR) using voltammetry and liquid chromatography. In cyclic voltammetry (CV), MIR showed one sharp oxidation peak and one additional wave in acidic media in the anodic direction; at pH 5.50, the mirtazapine peak was single and sharp. Under optimized conditions, the peak current showed a linear dependence with concentration in the range between 0.212 and 26.54 µg/mL for glassy carbon (GC) and 1.06 and 26.54 µg/mL for boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrodes using differential pulse (DP) and square wave (SW) voltammetric techniques. The possible oxidation mechanisms are also discussed. A simple and fully validated reverse phase-liquid chromatography (RP-LC) method to test for MIR in tablets was developed using an X-Select RP-18 column (250x4.60 mm ID x 5µm) at 25ºC with methanol:water (30:70, v/v, containing 15 mM o-phosphoric acid) as the mobile phase adjusted to pH 3.0. The RP-LC method allowed quantification over a MIR concentration range of 1.0-18.0 µg/mL. MIR was exposed to thermal, photolytic, or oxidative stress, as well as acid and base hydrolysis conditions, and the stressed samples were assayed by the proposed LC method. The proposed methods allow for a number of cost- and time-saving benefits.

The electrooxidation behavior and determination of fulvestrant at a glassy carbon electrode were investigated. The voltammetric study of the model compounds allowed elucidating the possible oxidation mechanism of fulvestrant. The dependence of the peak current and peak potentials on pH, concentration, nature of the buffer, and scan rate was determined. The oxidation of fulvestrant showed a single and irreversible peak at glassy carbon electrode, and the process was found diffusion controlled. Linear responses were obtained for the concentrations between 4×10−6 M and 6×10−5 M in standard samples and between 2×10−5 M and 1×10−4 M in serum samples. The repeatability of the method was found 0.93 RSD%. The repeatability, reproducibility, precision, and accuracy of proposed method were investigated.

Until now after the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) was discovered as the then tentative aetiological agent of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), exactly 25 anti-HIV compounds have been formally approved for clinical use in the treatment of AIDS. These compounds fall into six categories: nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs: zidovudine, didanosine, zalcitabine, lamivudine, abacavir, stavudine, and emtricitabine), nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NtRTIs: tenofovir), nonnucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs: efavirenz, nevirapine, delavirdine, and etravirine), protease inhibitors (PIs: ritonavir, indinavir, saquinavir, nelfinavir, amprenavir, lopinavir, fosamprenavir, atazanavir, tipranavir and darunavir), fusion inhibitors (FIs: enfuvirtide), coreceptor inhibitors (CRIs: maraviroc), and integrase inhibitors (INIs: raltegravir). The present paper submitted the use of various electroanalytical techniques for the determination of anti-HIV drugs. This paper covers the time period from 1990 to 2010 including voltammetric techniques that were reported. Presented application concerns analysis of anti-HIV drugs from pharmaceutical dosage forms and biological samples.

Aim: The scope of the present study was to elaborate a nitrite electrochemical sensor using multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) modified Pt electrode. Methods: The electrocatalytic activity of the proposed sensor was studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry (ChAm), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Then electrochemical detection of nitrite was performed using square wave voltammetry (SWV). Results: The MWCNTs/Pt electrode exhibits good electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of nitrite in neutral pH. Subsequently, the fabricated electrochemical sensor shows a high sensitivity for the NO2– determination and a low limit of detection (LOD) (0.1 µM) in a wide linear concentration range (1.0–1,000 µM). Conclusions: This electrochemical sensor has cost-effective, anti-interference capability as well as good stability, reproducibility, and applicability.

In recent years, there has been a notable rise in the significance of green chemistry principles across diverse fields of chemical research, including that of analytical chemistry. This heightened focus is largely attributable to a growing awareness of environmental conditions and the detrimental impact that analytical procedures can have on the ecosystem. To address these concerns, a key approach has been developed in the form of Green Analytical Chemistry (GAC). The GAC represents an environmentally conscious methodology within the field of analytical chemistry. Its objective is to mitigate the detrimental effects of analytical techniques on the natural environment and human health. The present review provides a comprehensive overview of the historical evolution of GAC and examines the tools currently available for assessing greenness metrics. The discussion included a thorough examination of various approaches for evaluating green profiles, including the National Environmental Methods Index (NEMI), the Eco-scale Assessment (ESA), the Green Analytical Procedure Index (GAPI), and the Analytical Greens (AGREE) index. The significance of these approaches in analytical methodology was also explored in depth. Moreover, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on research articles pertaining to the applicability of the assessment mentioned above tools in the measurement of environmental sustainability. Furthermore, whiteness can be quantified by assessing the constituent principles, thus providing a practical parameter for comparing and selecting optimal methods. The Whiteness Assessment Criteria (WAC) are more closely aligned with sustainable development than other methods due to their holistic perspective. They seek to balance environmental impact with functionality, avoiding an unconditional increase in greenness at the expense of functionality. This review aims to provide researchers with a comprehensive overview of the various whiteness and greenness assessment tools and their latest applications of green metrics for analytical methods in developing countries.

Statins reduce cholesterol synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme hydroxymethylglutaryl-CoA (HMG-CoA) reductase. Rosuvastatin (ROS) is a statin drug used to prevent cardiovascular diseases and treat abnormal lipids. This study describes the design and fabrication of a nanomaterial-assisted molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP)-based electrochemical sensor for ROS determination. In addition, MIP-based electrochemical sensors were designed to detect ROS in both standard solutions and serum samples. In the MIP-based electrochemical sensor developed via the photopolymerization (PP) technique on the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface, were used zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) as a pore former, p-aminobenzoic acid (p-ABA) as functional monomer, ROS as template molecule. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques were used to carry out detailed characterizations concerning surface morphology and electrochemistry. Under optimized experimental conditions, the linearity range of the designed sensor was found 1.0 × 10−13–1.0 × 10−12 M. The superior selectivity of the MIP-based sensor against ROS in the presence of their binary mixtures was confirmed by interference studies. The recovery rates of the MIP-based sensors were calculated as 100.35 % and 99.16 % in commercial tablet form and serum samples, respectively. Moreover, the proposed sensor's relative selectivity coefficient (k′) was calculated, and it provided good selectivity for ROS over the NIP sensor. In conclusion, this newly developed sensor offers an advantageous approach for selective, sensitive, rapid and cost-effective analysis of ROS from binary mixtures. Additionally, this study is the first electrochemical sensor using nanomaterial-assisted MIP technology for ROS analysis, and its sensitivity is higher than that of other studies in the literature.

Since ancient times, humanity has used plants to cure diseases or maintain health. Nowadays, obtaining the bioactive components of plants and researching their effects continues at great speed. Plant-derived chemicals are studied with great interest in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. The complexity of city life limits access to plants in their natural habitat. Nutraceuticals are indispensable products of our age to protect health. Many methods have been developed and successfully applied for extracting crude plant extracts and pure active substances included in nutraceuticals from plant tissues and their quantitative analysis. This study compiled the methods for obtaining plant extracts and active ingredients and the techniques developed for analyzing bioactive compounds. The extraction methods of plant-based bioactive chemicals (maceration, soxhlet extraction, decoction, infusion, hydro distillation, ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE), microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), enzyme-assisted extraction (EAE), pressurized liquid extraction (PLE), and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE)) were explained in detail, and some important plant-based bioactive chemicals and source plants were summarized in table form. Additionally, the studies using different analytical techniques such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), thin layer chromatography (TLC), mass spectrometry (MS), and ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) were discussed. Finally, evaluating its effectiveness in the extraction of different bioactive compounds and the prospects for more environmentally friendly methods alternative to traditional solvents were emphasized. This review covers the latest practices and new trends in analyzing plant-based bioactive chemicals in nutraceuticals over the last three years.

Pazopanib (PAZ), a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, is used to treat advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and advanced soft tissue sarcoma (STS). The FDA approved PAZ for RCC in 2009 and for STS in 2012. The antitumor activity of pazopanib, according to the degree of inhibition, shows different results depending on the dose. Renal cell carcinoma is the most sensitive carcinoma to pazopanib, with 77% inhibition at the 10 mg/kg dose. Clinical studies have shown 53% to 65% inhibition in carcinomas such as breast carcinoma, prostate carcinoma, and melanoma. Plasma proteins such as human serum albumin (HSA) have a critical role in transporting and storing bioactive components. This feature of HSA is very important for the development of cancer therapy. Here, we investigated the interaction between PAZ and HSA to evaluate their binding strength, binding types, and conformational change in HSA. We used spectroscopic methods to assess the drug–protein interaction. Fluorescence measurements revealed that the interaction of PAZ with HSA occurred via the static quenching mechanism. The calculated binding number and binding constants were 1.041 and 1.436 × 106 M−1, respectively, at 298.15 K based on fluorescence screening. The high binding constant and calculated Gibbs free energy at different temperatures showed spontaneous and strong binding. Circular dichroism measurements showed that the α-helix structure of HSA was retained as the secondary structure, with a slight reduction in its percentage after adding PAZ. Furthermore, molecular modeling studies suggested that the docking score of PAZ is higher than those of bicalutamide and ibuprofen, the drugs that were chosen as model competitors against PAZ. Accordingly, PAZ was found to replace bicalutamide and ibuprofen on the HSA binding site, which was also confirmed by UV absorption spectroscopy.

In this study, the electrochemical determination of Ivabradine hydrochloride (IH) was studied in detail using a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with mesoporous carbon solution (MCS) and carboxylated group linked single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT-COOH). The developed nanosensor showed a significant effect by remarkably increasing the IH signal compared with the bare GCE. Cyclic (CV) and differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) methods were applied to perform electrochemical analysis of IH in pH 3.0 BRB solutions. The calibration plot for IH with a detection limit of 1.47 × 10−7 M was obtained using the DPV technique in the range of 1–10 µM under optimum experimental conditions. The proposed method has been validated and applied for the detection of the IH tablet. The produced nanosensor was also performed for the determination of IH in serum and urine. Excellent recoveries of 98.4%, 98.0%, and 100.2% were achieved for tablet, serum, and urine analysis, respectively.

In recent years, food quality and safety have gained increasing attention. However, due to the complexity of food composition, accurate classical extraction techniques require using toxic organic solvents. The development of green extraction techniques has come to the fore to repress this drawback. In this review, the recent novel methodologies for extracting pollutants from food samples that fulfill the principles of green chemistry were summarized. The use of sorbent-based techniques, such as solid-phase microextraction (SPME), and stir-bar sorbent extraction (SBSE), and advanced techniques such as ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE), microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), enzyme-assisted extraction (EAE), pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), for improving and accelerating extraction efficiency and reducing solvent consumption are highlighted. Lastly, future perspectives on the implementation of these eco-friendly methodologies are described along with the technological advancements required.

Oncoviruses are responsible for less than half of cancers in humans. In virus-related human oncogenesis, a multi-step process leads normal cells to transform into cancerous cells in the body. Among the various oncoviruses are human papillomavirus (HPV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), human herpesvirus (HHV-8), human lymphotropic virus-1 (HTLV-1), Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCV). The Pap smear test is critical in HPV screening, but its sensitivity is relatively low in cervical lesions, and the probability of giving false results is high. In this situation, create an alternative screening method. Therefore, the applied electroanalytical measurement techniques and electrode systems are important for detecting oncoviruses using electrochemical biosensors. Electrochemical sensor strategies such as genosensors, CRISPR-based recognition assay, aptamer-based biosensors, and immunosensors are used for the detection of oncoviruses. Major viruses causing cancer and oncovirus-related cancer types and electrochemical sensor strategies are described in the review. Studies that have been published in recent years are reported in tables for explaining details. This review considered the articles published in the last 10 years. The biosensor studies for cancer-causing viruses get gradually increased.

Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) is one of the most toxic and harmful fungal toxins to humans and animals, and the fundamental way to prevent its entry into humans is to detect its presence in advance. In this paper, the monoclonal antibody mAbA2-2 was obtained via three-step sample amplification and multi-concentration standard detection using a subcloning method based on the limited dilution method with AFB1 as the target. A dynamic and pseucdo-homogeneous magnetic beads enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (MBs-icELISA) was established using the prepared antibody as the recognition element and immunomagnetic beads as the antigen carrier. The MBs-icELISA showed good linear correlation in the concentration range of 0.004–10 ng/mL with R2 = 0.99396. The limit of detection (LOD) of the MBs-icELISA for AFB1 was 0.0013 ng/mL. This new ELISA strategy significantly shortened AFB1 detection time through improved sensitivity compared to the conventional ELISA method.

Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIP) have demonstrated considerable potential when combined with electrochemical sensors, exhibiting high sensitivity, selectivity and reproducibility levels. The aim of this work is to detect Zivudine (ZDV) in serum samples by means of an interface imprinting technique-based electrochemical sensor. Thus, ZDV was used as a template for the creation of an MIP-based electrochemical sensor, and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) was used as the determination technique for the molecule. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) techniques were also used to characterize the electrochemical sensor capabilities, which showed a good linearity between 1.0 × 10−10 M and 1.0 × 10−9 M. ZDV was detected with a detection limit of 1.63 × 10−11 M, while the recovery analysis of spiked serum samples demonstrated that the sensor was highly selective.

Developing rapid, cost-effective, and ''green'' approaches to achieve environmental sustainability is currently one of the most important issues for addressing water pollution problems. This study presents a green process that relies on a sensitive molecularly imprinted electrochemical sensor fabricated on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) using alginate and TiO2 to determine vancomycin (VAN). The Alginate@TiO2/MIP-GCE sensor was found to show excellent efficiency for target molecule recognition. In the experimental study, parameters such as template: polymer ratio, drying time, dropping volume, removal solution and time, and rebinding time, which affect the sensor response, were optimized. The electrochemical behavior of the designed sensor was investigated using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). Under optimum conditions, the linear range and limit of detection were found to be 10–100 pM (r = 0.996) and 2.808 pM, respectively. Satisfactory recovery results were obtained for the determination of VAN in serum and tap water samples. Furthermore, the sensor displayed good repeatability and stability for VAN detection. Finally, Analytical GREEnness Metric Approach and Software (AGREE) was applied to evaluate the greenness profile of our method. The fabricated sensor not only had high selectivity and sensitivity but also was developed via a quite green route in terms of the solvents and methods used throughout the experiment.

In this study, an electrochemical DNA biosensor was developed using a straightforward methodology to investigate the interaction of indinavir with calf thymus double-stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (ct-dsDNA) for the first time. The decrease in the oxidation signals of deoxyguanosine (dGuo) and deoxyadenosine (dAdo), measured by differential pulse voltammetry, upon incubation with different concentrations of indinavir can be attributed to the binding mode of indinavir to ct-dsDNA. The currents of the dGuo and dAdo peaks decreased linearly with the concentration of indinavir in the range of 1.0–10.0 μg/mL. The limit of detection and limit of quantification for indinavir were 0.29 and 0.98 μg/mL, respectively, based on the dGuo signal, and 0.23 and 0.78 μg/mL, respectively, based on the dAdo signal. To gain further insights into the interaction mechanism between indinavir and ct-dsDNA, spectroscopic measurements and molecular docking simulations were performed. The binding constant (Kb) between indinavir and ct-dsDNA was calculated to be 1.64 × 108 M−1, based on spectrofluorometric measurements. The obtained results can offer insights into the inhibitory activity of indinavir, which could help to broaden its applications. That is, indinavir can be used to inhibit other mechanisms and/or hallmarks of viral diseases.

Abstract In this work, a novel nanosensing platform was suggested based on ruthenium for the sensitive determination of Idarubicin anticancer drugs. Ruthenium/Vulcan carbon-based nanoparticles were synthesized ultrasonication method and then characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The mean particle size of the nanoparticles calculated by the TEM analysis was found to be 1.98 nm ± 0.29 nm, and the Ru nanoparticles were mostly dispersed on the support material. Glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface was modified with Ruthenium/Vulcan carbon-based nanomaterials (Ru@VC), and characterization of the nanosensor was performed using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) values were found as 9.25 × 10–9 M and 2.8 × 10–8 M in buffer samples. To demonstrate the applicability and validity of developed nanosensor, it was used for the determination of Idarubicin in Idamen® IV (10 mg/10 mL vial) and human serum sample. The results of recovery studies showed that the Ru@VC/GCE nanosensor was free from excipient interferences in the dosage forms of injection, and it can be successfully applied to biological samples.

Heart failure (HF) is a cardiovascular disease defined by several symptoms that occur when the heart cannot supply the blood needed by the tissues. HF, which affects approximately 64 million people worldwide and whose incidence and prevalence are increasing, has an important place in terms of public health and healthcare costs. Therefore, developing and enhancing diagnostic and prognostic sensors is an urgent need. Using various biomarkers for this purpose is a significant breakthrough. It is possible to classify the biomarkers used in HF: associated with myocardial and vascular stretch (B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), N-terminal proBNP and troponin), related to neurohormonal pathways (aldosterone and plasma renin activity), and associated with myocardial fibrosis and hypertrophy (soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 and galactin 3). There is an increasing demand for the design of fast, portable, and low-cost biosensing devices for the biomarkers related to HF. Biosensors play a significant role in early diagnosis as an alternative to time-consuming and expensive laboratory analysis. In this review, the most influential and novel biosensor applications for acute and chronic HF will be discussed in detail. These studies will be evaluated in terms of advantages, disadvantages, sensitivity, applicability, user-friendliness, etc.

Eltrombopag is a powerful adjuvant anticancer drug used in treating MS (myelodysplastic syndrome) and AML (acute myeloid leukemia) diseases. In this study, the interaction mechanism between eltrombopag and DNA was studied by voltammetry, spectroscopic techniques, and viscosity measurements. We developed a DNA-based biosensor and nano-biosensor using reduced graphene oxide-modified glassy carbon electrode to detect DNA-eltrombopag binding. The reduction of desoxyguanosine (dGuo) and desoxyadenosine (dAdo) oxidation signals in the presence of the drug demonstrated that a strong interaction could be established between the eltrombopag and dsDNA. The eltrombopag-DNA interaction was further investigated by UV absorption and fluorescence emission spectroscopy to gain more quantitative insight on binding. Viscosity measurements were utilized to characterize the binding mode of the drug. To shed light on the noncovalent interactions and binding mechanism of eltrombopag molecular docking and molecular dynamics (MD), simulations were performed. Through simultaneously carried out experimental and in silico studies, it was established that the eltrombopag binds onto the DNA via intercalation.

In this work, immobilizing anti-GFAP antibodies via covalent attachment onto L-cysteine/gold nanoparticles that were modified with screen-printed carbon electrodes (Anti-GFAP/L-cys/AuNps/SPCE) resulted in the development of a sensitive label-free impedance immunosensor for the detection of Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP). The immunosensor’s stepwise construction was studied using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). L-cysteine was chosen as the linker between GFAP antibodies and Au NPs/SPCE because it enables the guided and stable immobilization of GFAP antibodies, thus resulting in increased immunosensor sensitivity. As a redox probe, 5 mM of [Fe(CN)6]3−/4− was used to measure the electron–transfer resistance (Ret), which was raised by the binding of antigens to the immobilized anti-GFAP on the surface of the modified electrode. A linear correlation between Rct and GFAP concentration was achieved under optimum conditions in the range of 1.0–1000.0 pg/mL, with an extraordinarily low detection limit of 51.0 fg/mL. The suggested immunosensor was successfully used to detect the presence of GFAP in human blood serum samples, yielding good findings. As a result, the proposed platform may be utilized to monitor central nervous system injuries.

The drug combination of rosuvastatin (ROS) and ezetimibe (EZE) is used to treat hypercholesterolemia. In this work, a simultaneous electrochemical examination of ROS and EZE was conducted for the first time. The electrochemical determination of ROS and EZE was carried out using adsorptive stripping differential pulse voltammetry (AdSDPV) on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) in 0.1 M H2SO4. The effects of the pH, scan rate, deposition potential, and time on the detection of ROS and EZE were analyzed. Under optimum conditions, the developed sensor exhibited a linear response between 1.0 × 10−6 M and 2.5 × 10−5 M for EZE and 5.0 × 10−6 M, and 1.25 × 10−5 M for ROS. The detection limits for ROS and EZE were 3.0 × 10−7 M and 2.0 × 10−6 M, respectively. The developed sensor was validated in terms of linear range, accuracy, precision, the limit of determination (LOD), and the limit of quantification (LOQ), and it was evaluated according to ICH Guidelines and USP criteria. The proposed method was also used to determine ROS and EZE in human urine and serum samples, which are reported in terms of recovery studies.

In this research, a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified by MWCNT/chitosan NCs/Fe2O3 was prepared for the determination of the cephalosporin antibiotic cefditoren (CFT) using adsorptive stripping differential pulse and cyclic voltammetry techniques. The effects of pH, the scan rate, the deposition potential, the accumulation time, and modification agents on the determination of CFT were analyzed. The results showed that the modified electrode significantly increased the oxidation peak current of CFT. Under optimized conditions, the MWCNT/chitosan NCs/Fe2O3/GCE nanosensor exhibited a linear response between 0.2 µM and 10 µM toward CFT. The limit of detection and quantification were determined to be 1.65 nM and 5.50 nM, respectively. Model drugs (cefdinir, cefpodoxime, cephalexin, and ceftazidime compounds) were used to enlighten the CFT oxidation mechanism. Moreover, the nanosensor was used to analyze CFT in a pharmaceutical dosage form and commercial deproteinated human serum samples. The accuracy of these methods was proven in the recovery studies, with values of 96.98 and 98.62% for the pharmaceutical dosage form and commercial deproteinated human serum sample, respectively.

The screen-printed electrodes have gained increasing importance due to their advantages, such as robustness, portability, and easy handling. The manuscript presents the investigation of the interaction between double-strand deoxyribonucleic acid (dsDNA) and three anthracyclines: epirubicin (EPI), idarubicin (IDA), and doxorubicin (DOX) by differential pulse voltammetry on metal nanoparticles modified by screen-printed electrodes. In order to investigate the interaction, the voltammetric signals of dsDNA electroactive bases were used as an indicator. The effect of various metal nanomaterials on the signals of guanine and adenine was evaluated. Moreover, dsDNA/PtNPs/AgNPs/SPE (platinum nanoparticles/silver nanoparticles/screen-printed electrodes) was designed for anthracyclines–dsDNA interaction studies since the layer-by-layer modification strategy of metal nanoparticles increases the surface area. Using the signal of multi-layer calf thymus (ct)-dsDNA, the within-day reproducibility results (RSD%) for guanine and adenine peak currents were found as 0.58% and 0.73%, respectively, and the between-day reproducibility results (RSD%) for guanine and adenine peak currents were found as 1.04% and 1.26%, respectively. The effect of binding time and concentration of three anthracyclines on voltammetric signals of dsDNA bases were also evaluated. The response was examined in the range of 0.3–1.3 ppm EPI, 0.1–1.0 ppm IDA and DOX concentration on dsDNA/PtNPs/AgNPs/SPE. Electrochemical studies proposed that the interaction mechanism between three anthracyclines and dsDNA was an intercalation mode.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the impact of physical ergonomics training on sleep quality and musculoskeletal issues among factory workers.Method: Twenty-five factory employees aged 18-60, without neurological or emotional issues, participated. Data collection at baseline included a demographic form, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and the Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaire. Following physical ergonomics training, these assessments were repeated after four weeks. Continuous data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0, with distribution differences tested by Kruskal-Wallis and Shapiro-Wilk methods. The Wilcoxon method determined any significant changes in non-normally distributed variables between initial and final measures.Results: A significant improvement in PSQI scores (p=0.002) indicated enhanced sleep quality post-intervention. In the Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort data, a statistically significant reduction in neck pain was noted following training, while reductions in shoulder, back, and lumbar pain levels were not statistically significant. Although average score changes in the hip, upper and lower legs, knees, and feet suggested a trend in improvement, these differences were not statistically significant.Conclusion: The findings suggest that physical ergonomics training could improve sleep quality and potentially reduce musculoskeletal discomfort among factory workers, highlighting its value for workplace health interventions.

In a recent study, opposite enantiomer elution order was observed for ketoprofen enantiomers on two amylose-phenylcarbamate-based chiral columns with the same chemical composition of the chiral selector but in one case with coated while in the other with an immobilized chiral selector. In the present study, the influence of this uncommon effect on method validation parameters for the determination of minor enantiomeric impurity in dexketoprofen was studied. The validated methods with two alternative elution orders for enantiomers were applied for the evaluation of enantiomeric impurity in six marketed dexketoprofen formulations from various vendors. In most of these formulations except one the content of enantiomeric impurity exceeded 0.1% (w/w).

An immunosensor is a kind of affinity biosensor based on interactions between an antigen and specific antigen immobilized on a transducer surface. Immunosensors possess high selectivity and sensitivity due to the specific binding between antibody and corresponding antigen, making them a suitable platform for several applications especially in the medical and bioanalysis fields. Electrochemical immunosensors rely on the measurements of an electrical signal recorded by an electrochemical transducer and can be classed as amperometric, potentiometric, conductometric, or impedimetric depending on the signal type. Among the immunosensors, electrochemical immunosensors have been more perfected due to their simplicity and, especially their ability to be portable, and for in situ or automated detection. This review addresses the potential of immunosensors destined for application in clinical analysis, especially cancer biomarker diagnosis. The emphasis is on the approaches used to fabricate electrochemical immunosensors. A general overview of recent applications of the developed electrochemical immunosensors in the clinical approach is described.

Purpose: The aim of the present study is to determine whether or not tumor volume can be used instead of tumor diameter in breast cancer staging and the relation between tumor volume and survival.Patients and method: The preoperative tumor sizes and the results of postoperative pathological staging of 194 patients who underwent surgery with the diagnosis of T1-3,N0-3,M0 breast cancer and also fulfilled the study criteria were retrospectively evaluated. The tumor volume was estimated by using the tumor diameter and the width which were specified according to the highest value at the mammographic and ultrasonographic examinations and using the tumor depth which was designated according to the ultrasonographic measurement.
