Supercapacitor is a kind of effective energy storage device with merits such as high power density, long cycling life and so on, but their application is limited nowadays compared to the application of batteries. One important restriction is because of the serious self-discharge in supercapacitors, and how to conquer the self-discharge problem is an important issue. In this article we propose an effective way to reduce self-discharge of the supercapacitor by carefully designing of activated carbon (ACs) electrodes and water-in salt electrolyte. The electrochemical characterization shows that our supercapacitor can have the ability to reduce self-discharge.

Background: Ebstein’s anomaly is a malformation of the tricuspid valve and myopathy of the right ventricle. Surgery is now the main treatment for the defect. To summarize our surgical results and experience based on patients with Ebstein’s anomaly who were under 7 years of age and treated with different surgical treatments.Materials and Methods: From January 2010 to December 2019, 80 patients under 7 years old who were diagnosed of Ebstein’s anomaly and underwent different surgical treatments were consecutively enrolled and followed up in detail. Results: The median age of the 80 patients at the time of surgery was 3.63 years. Sixty-four (80.00%) patients underwent biventricular repair while 13 (16.25%) underwent 1.5-ventricle repair. With the median follow-up 27.50 months, the long-term survival of the total cohort, 1.5-ventricular repair and biventricular repair was 82.35%, 91.67% and 100%, respectively. The long-term freedom from reoperation rate was 97.50%, 92.31% and 98.44%, respectively. Mild, moderate and severe TR before surgery occurred in 6 (7.50%), 18 (22.50%) and 56 (70.00%), respectively. The early outcomes of 78 patients were 65 (83.33%), 11 (14.11%) and 2 (2.56%); the mid-term outcomes of 72 patients were 49 (68.06%), 19 (26.38%) and 4 (5.56%). Both early and long-term valve regurgitation were significantly decreased (p< 0.001) compared with preoperative condition. No more severe regurgitation occurred (p=0.404), though some early mild regurgitation became acceptable moderate regurgitation during long-term follow-up (p=0.036). Compared with Carpentier procedure, cone procedure had better long-term effect, while the effect of whole-valve technique needed more operation and long-term follow-up.Conclusion: The reoperation rate and mid-term mortality of surgical treatment for Ebstein’s anomaly were both low, tricuspid regurgitation was significantly improved during mid-term follow up. Cone procedure had the best mid-term effect among anatomic repair.

Objectives Social animals often have dominance hierarchies, with high rank conferring preferential access to resources. In primates, competition among males is often assumed to occur predominantly over reproductive opportunities. However, competition for food may occur during food shortages, such as in temperate species during winter. Higher-ranked males may thus gain preferential access to high-profitability food, which would enable them to spend longer engaged in activities other than feeding. Materials and methods We performed a field experiment with a breeding band of golden snub-nosed monkeys, a species that lives in a multi-level society in high-altitude forests in central China. We provisioned monkey's high-profitability food during winter when natural foods are limited, and then recorded the times individual adult males spent engaged in different behaviors. Results Higher-ranking males spent less time feeding overall and fed on provisioned foods at a higher rate than lower-ranking males. Higher-ranking males therefore had more time to spend on alternative behaviors. We found no significant difference according to rank in times spent moving or resting. However, high-ranking males spend significantly longer on affiliative behaviors with other members of their social sub-units, especially grooming and being groomed, behaviors known to promote social cohesion in primates. Discussion We show that preferential access to high-profitability foods likely relaxes time-budget constraints to higher-ranking males. High-ranking males thus spend more time on non-feeding activities, especially grooming, which may enhance social cohesion within their social sub-unit. We discuss the potential direct and indirect benefits to high-ranking males associated with preferential access to high-value food during winter.

This work investigated the effect of B 2 O 3 on phase structure and electrical properties of CuO-modified (Ba 0.95 Ca 0.05 )(Ti 0.90 Sn 0.10 )O 3 –0.5CuO –x B 2 O 3 (BCTSCu 0.5 B x , 0≤ x ≤1.8 mol.%) lead-free ceramics sintered at a low sintering temperature ( Ts= 1200 °C). It was found that co-doping CuO and B 2 O 3 is effective both on obtaining a dense microstructure and increasing the Curie temperature ( T C ) in BCTSCu 0.5 B x ceramics. In addition to the sintering aids behavior of both CuO and B 2 O 3 to reduce T s , the increased T C mainly stems to the solid solution of B 3+ which enters initially tetrahedral sites and then V O • • and the sites between an apical O 2− and Ti 4+ with increasing its content. Good piezoelectric properties of d 33 =360 pC/N and k p =30% with an enhanced T C (49 °C) were obtained at x =1.4 owning to a proper proportion of rhombohedral and tetragonal phase even the Ts was as low as 1200 °C.

By means of factor analysis and logistic regression approaches, this paper predicted financial failures of Chinese listed companis in 2009 from the published data in 2006 of those companies. The study confirmed that by introducing non-financial indicators, the predictive power of financial failure analysis model has been further improved, from 80.77% up tp 86.54%.
