Homicide-suicide is a tragic event characterized by multiple fatalities within the intimate relationships, familial bonds, and community networks. Our aim was to explore the extent of coverage of homicide-suicide cases in the newspaper reports delivered in Pakistan during the COVID-19 lockdown (March–August 2020). We conducted a quantitative content analysis of news- reports obtained from eight Pakistani newspapers published in English and Urdu languages and daily reviewed by the authors. A total of 50 news-reports have been selected and analyzed, documenting 107 deaths due to homicide-suicide incidents. The majority of these cases involved male perpetrators within family settings, such as parent-child and spousal/married couples, often attributed to factors such us familial discordance and poverty. Negligibly, reasons for homicide-suicides included mental health issues of the perpetrators. Gunshot wounds emerged as the most prevalent method of homicide-suicide. Given the familial backgrounds in most of cases, it is likely that they occurred within the domestic environments. These findings may suggest the need of specific family interventions across the country in order to prevent family discordances or cope with relevant issues within the families, as both may contribute to homicidal and suicidal incidents, either independently or concurrently. This research paper explores the social and economic problems of domestic workers in Sindh. Study intends to achieve the following objectives to find out the social problems of domestic working women's life and to know the economic problems faced by domestic working women. Qualitative research approach is adopted. Data is collected through focus group discussion. Thematic Data analysis technique is applied to draw the Result of FGD. Social problems that are faced by domestic working women are harassment in the houses where they work, in streets and by the owners of houses that they have rented. Domestic working women do extra work which is not paid, blamed of stealing things, insulted if they go on leave. Even at their homes not respected. Under economic problems theme women are faced with issues like all salaries are taken by husbands or fathers, for their expenses they have to do extra work, borrow money, are ask for money in charity. In spite of, doing work day and night women feel dependent on men. At the end recommendations are forwarded as (i) domestic work is also employment not slavery so they must be given right to work as defined by UDHR. Right to periodic leaves, fixed working hours for each activity (ii) people who keep domestic workers to serve them have to ensure them favorable working conditions. (iii) Harassment is issue of all working women so the domestic workers, should be treated strictly. (iv) adult education programs, programs on awareness on women rights can help to solve socio-economic problems of domestic working women. The present study was conducted to examine the relationship between parental -acceptance-rejection, parental control and Juvenile delinquency. The sample was comprised of juvenile delinquents (n=100), and normal adolescents (n=100). A sample of juvenile delinquents was randomly selected from Juvenile Jail, Central Jail Hyderabad and Central Jail Karachi. PARQ/Control Questionnaire (Imam, 1999) and Self-reported Delinquency Scale (Naqvi, 2007) were administered on the sample. Participants of the study were interviewed as well as scales were administered individually and questions were read out for delinquents. Normal adolescents filled questionnaires by themselves. It was hypothesized that there would be significant differences between the scores of Juvenile delinquents and normal adolescents on parental acceptance-rejection questionnaire (PARQ/Control scale); juvenile delinquents would score high on Self -reported Delinquency scale as compared to normal adolescents. Pearson correlation and t-test were computed to test the hypotheses. Results of the study found significant mean differences between the scores of delinquents and normal adolescents on all sub-scales of parental acceptance-rejection questionnaire (PARQ/C), indicating that Juvenile delinquents have perceived their both parents(Mother, Father), as more rejecting, neglecting and aggressive as compared to normal adolescents. Findings revealed strong relationship between permissive parenting style or less parental control with the delinquency. Results of the present research investigation have shown consistency with universal claims of parental acceptance-rejection theory and its relationship with the delinquency and behaviour problems among adolescents. Present study is designed to analyze relationship between poverty and health. It has been rightly said that poverty is a mother of all social evils. Poverty is a major social problem of Pakistan. It has adverse effects on health. For the study of this problem a survey method was used to collect data. A questionnaire was administrative in 35 villages of Taluka Manjhand. The related literature is carefully reviewed and incorporated in this paper. Results and conclusions are drawn from primary data which are presented in frequency and percentage based tables and diagrams are used to make data more understandable. In developed countries, industry is a major contributor to economic growth and development. Nevertheless, in developing countries including Pakistan, agriculture is considered backbone of economy. Since its inception in 1947, Pakistan faced several issues in agriculture including the use of microcredit scheme for agriculture. This research investigates the contribution of microcredit schemes which were implemented in agriculture. This research intends to document the role of Punjab Rural Support Program (PRSP) in agricultural productivity of small scale farmers in District Gujrat, Pakistan. It also aims to highlight the benefits of this scheme for the marginalized and small scale farmers. A quantitative study was conducted in district Gujrat by using survey method to collect data from the farmers who took an advantage from the microcredit scheme of PRSP. A list of all those farmers was collected from PRSP regional office and by using systematic random sampling technique total 261 respondents were selected. The findings of the research reveal that majority of the farmers were lacking in resources. Most of the respondents were illiterate and they did not have advanced knowledge about the modern agricultural techniques. But at the same time, this research indicates that PRSP loan scheme is bringing about significant change in the lives of farmers. These schemes were not only for improving their agricultural productivity but also improving their socio-economic conditions of their families. The aim of this study is to review the status of female education and rural poverty in district Badin of Sindh, to analyze the socioeconomic causes and correlates of feminization of poverty, with special reference to Badin district, to undertake a survey of perceptions of rural women in Badin district, about the impact of different levels of education on their lives, to identify educational programs influencing the income and social status of rural women.
