This paper proposes a hybrid COA‐QNN approach for an interleaved KY converter with closed‐loop control for a single‐phase grid‐connected photovoltaic (PV) system. The proposed strategy combines both Cheetah Optimizer algorithm (COA) and Quantum Neural Network (QNN), and it is commonly named the COA‐QNN technique. The interleaved KY converter is connected in the converter side. The primary goal of the COA‐QNN technique is to enhance PQ while maximizing PV electricity being transferred to the grid. The proposed COA is utilized to identify the optimal closed‐loop controller enhancements for on‐grid solar photovoltaic systems. The QNN is used to predict the optimal control parameter. The PV‐interleaved KY converter is managed by a predictive control mechanism to carry out both tasks of PQ enhancement. By then the COA‐QNN technique is implemented on the MATLAB platform and compared with existing methods. Finally, the proposed method shows better results in all methods, such as GWO, FF optimization and combined GWO‐FF. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SLIDING wear , *NANOCOMPOSITE materials , *MECHANICAL wear , *MAGNESIUM , *WEAR resistance , *FRETTING corrosion - Abstract
The present study investigates the reciprocating wear behaviour of as-cast AZ91/Al2O3 nanocomposites. The amount of Al2O3 nanoparticles (particle size: < 50 nm) varied at 1.5 and 2 wt.%, and its effect on the wear behaviour of nanocomposites was examined using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The influence of wear parameters such as load, sliding speed, and time was also investigated. The reciprocating wear of nanocomposites was investigated on various counter discs, including as-cast, homogenized, non-homogenized, and SiC paper. All tests were performed at room temperature with a constant sliding distance of 20 mm. According to the findings, introducing nanoparticles enhanced wear resistance, and the main effect plots revealed a linear relationship between wear rate and time. According to the ANOVA, disc type, time, and composition are the most influential parameters on wear rate. Wear mechanisms and features of debris of worn specimens were investigated using SEM equipped with EDS analysis. Worn-out specimens under homogenized and non-homogenized counter disc conditions were extensively oxidized and found to be adhesive. Deep grooves, ploughs, and oxidized detritus were detrimental to specimens worn beneath an abrasive counter disc. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study constructs a conceptual framework elucidating the intricate dynamics between organizational social capital, organizational justice, employee wellbeing and organizational performance. It positions organizational justice as an exogenous variable influencing social capital, which in turn impacts the wellbeing of employees, thereby shaping organizational performance. A thorough review of literature on organizational social capital and its impact on performance identifies a significant research gap. The study posits that organizational justice initiates and influences social capital, subsequently affecting employee wellbeing, which in a cascading effect contributes to organizational performance. The study not only explores the interrelatedness of various dimensions of social capital but also expands the scope of organizational social capital research. By establishing a direct relationship with firm performance, the study extends beyond the individual level, providing valuable insights into how social capital influences the overall effectiveness and success of an organization. METAL spraying , *FRETTING corrosion , *METAL coating , *SURFACE coatings , *BRITANNIA metal , *CORROSION engineering , *SLIDING wear - Abstract
The future scope of work lies in the development and comprehensive assessment of advanced coatings to resist wear, corrosion and abrasion of engineering components in harsh environments. Among them, thermal spray especially HVAF coatings occupy an important place in coating huge and complex parts which become techno-economically viable. Such exercise may not be possible in the traditional coating procedures including the powder metallurgy route. In general, a choice of the spray process, material selection, and design is as significant to benchmark thermal spray coatings. In most cases, thermally sprayed hard metal coatings are mechanically attached to substrates with thicknesses ranging from 100 to 500 microns. The current study gives an overview of the literature concerning HVAF coatings for tribological applications. It comprises HVAF coating developments and mechanisms followed by their application to different types of tribological performance such as sliding wear, erosion, abrasion, fretting and corrosion. HVAF coatings override other thermal spray coatings including HVOF and offer distinct advantages with respect to adherence and strength coupled with hardness so as to have strong resistance to wear, and corrosion integrated with deformation. The ingredients used in the process like metal carbides and metal alloys coated with combustible powders have a particle size in the range of a few nanometers to 60 microns. The researchers are now concentrating on the development and recognition of dense HVAF coatings so that they perform reliably and suitably in the field with good attributes. This article covers in-depth the deployed materials which are suitable for the HVAF process followed by an evaluation of physical, chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical characterization with the main focus on adhesive, abrasive, erosive, fretting and corrosive wear phenomena. Finite element analysis (FEA) was used to examine the effect of metal and composite thickness on burst pressure and deformation of composite over wrapped pressure vessel (COPV) under fluid pressure. Low carbon steel and carbon-epoxy had been selected for the metal and composite vessel respectively. A constant fiber orientation angle had been considered. FEA results were compared and found to be in good agreement with those obtained from analytical equations to validate the final element approach. Analysis had been extended to metal pressure vessel, composite pressure vessel and COPV to study the effect of overwrapping. Metal and composite vessel thickness were varied. The composite vessel exhibited bursting strength higher than metallic pressure vessel and COPV considered for the analysis. The results showed that composite vessel possess greatest bursting strength. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Propionibacterium acnes is an anaerobic, Gram-positive, opportunistic pathogen known to be involved in a wide variety of diseases ranging from mild acne to prostate cancer. Bacterial small non-coding RNAs are novel regulators of gene expression and are known to be involved in, virulence, pathogenesis, stress tolerance and adaptation to environmental changes in bacteria. The present study was undertaken keeping in view the lack of predicted sRNAs of P. acnes KPA171202 in databases. This report represents the first attempt to identify sRNAs in P. acnes KPA171202. A total of eight potential candidate sRNAs were predicted using SIPHT, one was found to have a Rfam homolog and seven were novel. Out of these seven predicted sRNAs, five were validated by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and sequencing. The expression of these sRNAs was quantified in different growth phases by qPCR (quantitative PCR). They were found to be expressed in both exponential and stationary stages of growth but with maximum expression in stationary phase which points to a regulatory role for them. Further investigation of their targets and regulatory functions is in progress.

Mobile opportunistic networks (MON) has been used for provisioning delay-tolerant applications. In MON the device communicates with each other with no assured end-to-end paths from source and destination because of frequent topology changes, node mobility, low density, and intermittent connectivity. In MON the device battery drains very fast for performing activities such as scanning, transceiver, and other computational processes, impacting the overall performance thus, designing energy-efficient routing is a challenging task. The routing employs a store-carry-and-forward mechanism for packet communication, where the packet is composed of time-to-live (TTL) and is kept in buffer till the opportunity arises. In improving delivery ratio message replication has been adopted; however, induces high network congestion. Here we present a location-aware hybrid microscopic routing (LAHMR) scheme for MON. The LAHMR provides an effective packet transmission scheme with location awareness and high reliability by limiting unnecessary packets being circulated in the network. Experiment outcome shows the LAHMR scheme achieves a much better delivery ratio with less delay, and also reduces the number of a forwarder for transmitting a packet, aiding in the reduction of network overhead concerning recent routing method namely the social-aware reliable forwarding (SCARF) technique.

Multidisciplinary - Abstract
Histopathological images (HIs) are the gold standard for determining cancer diagnoses in specific cases. Even for expert pathologists, analyzing such images takes time and resources, and it is difficult, resulting in inter-observer and intra-observer discrepancies. Using computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) technologies is one technique to speed up such an analysis. Machine learning methods for histopathology image analysis, including shallow and deep learning methods, are discussed in this work. We also go over preprocessing, segmentation and feature extraction, three of the most common tasks in histopathological image analysis. The classification job has increased interest, whereas other tasks such as segmentation and feature extraction have shown a fall in interest for tissue diagnosis. This empirical study depicts the pros and cons of the various preprocessing, segmentation, classification and feature extraction methods in the histopathological images for the effective implementation purposes.

Background: Results from retrospective studies suggest that use of neuromuscular blocking agents during general anaesthesia might be linked to postoperative pulmonary complications. We therefore aimed to assess whether the use of neuromuscular blocking agents is associated with postoperative pulmonary complications. Methods: We did a multicentre, prospective observational cohort study. Patients were recruited from 211 hospitals in 28 European countries. We included patients (aged ≥18 years) who received general anaesthesia for any in-hospital procedure except cardiac surgery. Patient characteristics, surgical and anaesthetic details, and chart review at discharge were prospectively collected over 2 weeks. Additionally, each patient underwent postoperative physical examination within 3 days of surgery to check for adverse pulmonary events. The study outcome was the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications from the end of surgery up to postoperative day 28. Logistic regression analyses were adjusted for surgical factors and patients' preoperative physical status, providing adjusted odds ratios (ORadj) and adjusted absolute risk reduction (ARRadj). This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, number NCT01865513. Findings: Between June 16, 2014, and April 29, 2015, data from 22 803 patients were collected. The use of neuromuscular blocking agents was associated with an increased incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications in patients who had undergone general anaesthesia (1658 [7·6%] of 21 694); ORadj 1·86, 95% CI 1·53–2·26; ARRadj −4·4%, 95% CI −5·5 to −3·2). Only 2·3% of high-risk surgical patients and those with adverse respiratory profiles were anaesthetised without neuromuscular blocking agents. The use of neuromuscular monitoring (ORadj 1·31, 95% CI 1·15–1·49; ARRadj −2·6%, 95% CI −3·9 to −1·4) and the administration of reversal agents (1·23, 1·07–1·41; −1·9%, −3·2 to −0·7) were not associated with a decreased risk of postoperative pulmonary complications. Neither the choice of sugammadex instead of neostigmine for reversal (ORadj 1·03, 95% CI 0·85–1·25; ARRadj −0·3%, 95% CI −2·4 to 1·5) nor extubation at a train-of-four ratio of 0·9 or more (1·03, 0·82–1·31; −0·4%, −3·5 to 2·2) was associated with better pulmonary outcomes. Interpretation: We showed that the use of neuromuscular blocking drugs in general anaesthesia is associated with an increased risk of postoperative pulmonary complications. Anaesthetists must balance the potential benefits of neuromuscular blockade against the increased risk of postoperative pulmonary complications. Funding: European Society of Anaesthesiology.

Crystals of “(2E)-1-(4-nitrophenyl)-3-(2,3,4-trimethoxyphenyl)prop-2-en-1-one” (NPTMP) are grown by slow solvent evaporation technique. The compound purity and presence of functional group elements in the material were identified from the spectroscopic techniques (FT-IR and ˡH-NMR). The single-phase formation in the bulk powder crystalline sample has been confirmed from powder XRD analysis. The intermolecular interaction and structure-related parameters were obtained and analyzed by utilizing single-crystal XRD data. Using single-crystal XRD data (CIF file), display of the intermolecular interactions and contribution of H···H and H···O/O···H interaction have been obtained. The molecule is mapped over dnorm, de, di, curvedness, shape index, and electrostatic potential by generating the Hirshfeld’s surface of NPTMP molecule. The linear optical absorbance and optical bandgap of the material have been confirmed by UV–VIS–NIR spectroscopic technique. The thermal stability of the crystal NPTMP is obtained from TGA/DTA/DSC techniques. The surface morphology of the crystal is collected from scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the electronic contribution of hyperpolarizability parameters is obtained from MOPAC 2016 software. The third-order nonlinear optical properties were studied by the Z-scan technique using CW DPSS laser operating at 532 nm wavelength. The molecule exhibits a comparatively moderate optical limiting response due to reverse saturable absorption (RSA).

- Abstract
Cloud computing is the computing technology which provides resources like software, hardware, services over the internet. Cloud computing provides computation, software, data access, and storage services that do not require end- user knowledge of the physical location and configuration of the system that delivers the services. Cloud computing enables the user and organizations to store their data remotely and enjoy good quality applications on the demand without having any burden associated with local hardware resources and software managements but it possesses a new security risk towards correctness of data stored at cloud. The data storage in the cloud has been a promising issue in these days. This is due to the fact that the users are storing their valuable data and information in the cloud. The users should trust the cloud service providers to provide security for their data. Cloud storage services avoid the cost storage services avoids the cost expensive on software, personnel maintains and provides better performance less storage cost and scalability, cloud services through internet which increase their exposure to storage security vulnerabilities however security is one of the major drawbacks that preventing large organizations to enter into cloud computing environment. This work surveyed on several storage techniques and this advantage and its drawbacks.

Streets in heritage cities are vital elements of public realm system and become a showcase for many celebrations. They not only function as pathways for movement of vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists supporting many societal and occupational activities, but they serve as the places of congregation as well. In India the streets are inherently a place where people meet, congregate, celebrate and also carry business. Each community has its own distinct occasions during which streets becomes the logical setting for people to gather and celebrate. In case of historic streetscapes, they are the carters of histories, with immeasurable evidence about the past events. The city of Mysore has many traditional streetscapes in the historic core exhibiting not only enormous architectural heritage but also has cultural significance. Ashoka Street Precinct, which was historically associated with cultural celebrations like Mysore Dasara during which the spectacular procession took place is situated in the heart of the city. With the shift of these celebrations to an alternative path, the street seems to be losing its’ heritage character and glory, though it is associated with many heritages building and precincts, and due recognition. Hence, it needs to be assessed with respect to the character and the physical quality in order to address the street precincts through the course of dereliction and transformation under the scenario of global change which is the inevitable occurrence everywhere. The paper explores the connection and disconnection between the old and the new and examines the process of physical transformation of Ashoka road precinct from being as a cultural street to a commercial street. The study is based on field work, observations, photo documentation and visual assessment. The streetscape analysis, issues and strategies including the measures proposed would aid the authority in formulation and implementation of streetscape guidelines resulting in improving of heritage character of the street precinct.

A novel chalcone derivative (2E)-3-(2,3-dimethoxyphenyl)-1-(3-nitrophenyl)prop-2-en-1-one (3DPNP) has been synthesized and crystals have been grown by slow solvent evaporation solution growth technique. The crystals were characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, DSC, TGA and single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The crystals are thermally stable up to 143.5 °C. The compound crystalizes in the monoclinic system, in centrosymmetric space group P21/n with unit cell parameters a = 8.6125(3) A, b = 12.3005(4) A, c = 14.8416(5) A, α = γ = 90.00°, β = 103.97(2)°, Z = 4, V = 1525.79(9) A3. The C–H…O intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions stabilizes the crystal structure. Further the Hirshfeld surface analysis facilitates the study of the nature of intermolecular interactions and fingerprint plots provide the information about the percentage contribution from each individual contact.
