3. True facial artery aneurysm of the submandibular region: A rare case report.

Abstract

A true aneurysm is a dilation of the arterial wall that preserves vessel continuity, retains three layers (intima, media, and adventitia), and commonly occurs in the aorta, including the thoracic and abdominal aorta. In contrast, true aneurysms of the external carotid artery and its branches are rare. Among several therapeutic options for true aneurysms, catheter-based embolization is the traditional treatment method. However, parent artery occlusion may not always result in permanent exclusion of the aneurysm from the systemic circulation. Dilation of the vasa vasorum is one of the mechanisms of occlusion recanalization. Herein, we present a rare case of a true aneurysm of the facial artery aneurysm. The patient underwent coil embolization as the initial treatment. Subsequently, surgical resection was performed due to aneurysm regrowth caused by vasa vasorum dilation. Although embolization is a useful and safe treatment option for facial aneurysms, careful follow-up radiological examinations are required because of the possibility of regrowth. 日本原子力研究開発機構(以下、「原子力機構」)は、外部有識者からなる高温ガス炉及び水素製造研究開発・評価委員会において、第3期中長期計画期間(平成27年度から令和3年度)の事後評価及び第4期中長期計画期間(令和4年度から令和10年度)の事前評価を受けた。その結果、第3期中長期計画期間の事後評価については、技術系委員10名のうち、2名の委員がS評価、7名の委員がA評価及び1名の委員がB評価とし、総合評価としてA評価を受けた。また、人文・社会系委員1名の委員がB評価、1名の委員がC評価とし、総合評価としてB評価を受けた。第4期中長期計画期間の事前評価については、複数の評価委員が「要改善」と評価した項目はあるものの、過半の委員が妥当と判断した。本報告書は高温ガス炉及び水素製造研究開発・評価委員会の構成、評価項目、評価結果及び原子力機構の措置について記載したものである。, Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) received a post-evaluation of the third medium-/long-term plan (from FY2015 to FY2021) and pre-evaluation of the fourth medium-/long-term plan (from FY2022 to FY2028) from the "Evaluation Committee of Research Activities for High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (hereinafter referred to as "HTGR") and Related Hydrogen Production Technology" (hereinafter referred to as "Evaluation Committee") which consists of specialists in the fields of evaluation subjects of HTGR and related heat application technologies. As a result, for the post-evaluation of the third medium-/ long-term plan, two of the ten technical committee members concluded a score of "S", seven members concluded "A" and one member concluded "B". The comprehensive evaluation concluded a score of "A". On the other hand, one of the two humanities and social sciences members concluded a score of "B", one members concluded "C". The comprehensive evaluation concluded a score of "B". For the pre-evaluation of the fourth medium-/long-term plan, although there were some items that several evaluation committee members rated as "needs improvement," the majority of the committee members judged the plan to be appropriate. This report describes the members of the Evaluation Committee, assessment items, assessment results and JAEA's measures following the assessment.

Abstract

「グレーデッドアプローチに基づく合理的な安全確保検討グループ」は、原子力科学研究部門、安全・核セキュリティ統括部、原子力施設管理部署、安全研究・防災支援部門の関係者約10名で構成され、機構の施設管理や規制対応に関する効果的なグレーデッドアプローチ(安全上の重要度に基づく方法)の実現を目的としたグループである。本グループは、2019年の9月に活動を開始し、以降、2020年9月末までに、10回の会合を開催するとともに、メール等も利用し議論を行ってきた。会合では、グレーデッドアプローチの基本的考え方、各施設での新規制基準等への対応状況、新検査制度等についての議論を行なうとともに、各施設での独自の検討内容の共有等を行っている。本活動状況報告書は、本活動の内容を広く機構内外で共有することにより、原子力施設におけるグレーデッドアプローチに基づく合理的で効果的な安全管理の促進に役立つことを期待し取りまとめるものである。, A group named as "The group for investigation of reasonable safety assurance based on graded approach", which consists of about 10 staffs from Sector of Nuclear Science Research, Safety and Nuclear Security Administration Department, departments for management of nuclear facility, Sector of Nuclear Safety Research and Emergency Preparedness, aims to realize effective graded approach (GA) about management of facilities and regulatory compliance of JAEA. The group started its activities in September, 2019 and has had discussions through 10 meetings and email communications. In the meetings, basic ideas of GA, status of compliance with new regulatory standards at each facility, new inspection system, etc were discussed, while individual investigation at each facility were shared among the members. This report is compiled with expectation that it will help promote rational and effective safety management based on GA by sharing contents of the activity widely inside and outside JAEA.
