Objective: The objective of our study was to assess the efficacy of Rezum, a minimally invasive surgical treatment, for patients with lower urinary tract symptoms related to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in real‐world clinical practice at a single institution in Japan. Materials and Methods: We conducted a prospective study involving 100 patients who underwent the Rezum procedure between October 2022 and February 2024. We analyzed patient backgrounds that are compliant with Japanese regulations and assessed descriptive outcomes such as symptom scores, peak flow in uroflowmetry, post‐void residual (PVR) volume, and prostate volume (PVol). These data were collected at 1 and/or 3 months postoperatively. Results: On average, 4.7 water vapor injections were administered during the Rezum procedures, with a mean operative time of 6.3 min. Patients experienced significant relief in symptoms, with reductions of 55% in International Prostate Symptom Score, 53% in quality of life score, and 30% in Overactive Bladder Symptom Score. There was also a significant decrease in mean PVR volume (50% reduction) and PVol (27% reduction). Among the subgroup of 23 pre‐interventional catheter‐dependent patients, 91% achieved catheter independence. Conclusion: Our single‐center analysis demonstrates that Rezum is an effective and safe minimally invasive therapeutic option for patients with BPH. The senescence‐associated protein p16INK4A acts as a limiter element in cell‐cycle progression. The loss of p16INK4A function is causally related to cellular immortalization. The increase in p16INK4A levels with advancing age was demonstrated in melanocytes. However, the characteristic difference between young and senescent melanocytes affecting immortalization of melanocytes remains unclear. In this study, we generated 10 different cell lines in total from newborn (NB) and adult (AD) primary normal human epidermal melanocytes (NHEM) using four different methods, transduction of CDK4R24C and cyclin D1 (K4D), K4D with TERT (K4DT), SV40 T‐antigen (SV40T), and HPV16 E6 and E7 (E6/E7) and performed whole transcriptome sequencing analysis (RNA‐Seq) to elucidate the differences of genome‐wide expression profiles among cell lines. The analysis data revealed distinct differences in expression pattern between cell lines from NB and AD although no distinct biological differences were detected in analyses such as comparison of cell morphology, evaluation of cell proliferation, and cell cycle profiles. Francisella tularensis is a causative agent of the zoonotic disease tularemia, and is highly pathogenic to humans. The pathogenicity of this bacterium is largely attributed to intracellular growth in host cells. Although several bacterial factors important for the intracellular growth have been elucidated, including the type VI secretion system, the host factors involved in the intracellular growth of F. tularensis are largely unknown. To identify the host factors important for F. tularensis infection, 368 compounds were screened for the negative regulation of F. tularensis subsp. novicida (F. novicida) infection. Consequently, 56 inhibitors were isolated that decreased F. novicida infection. Among those inhibitors, we focused on cucurbitacin I, an inhibitor of the JAK2/ STAT3 pathway. Cucurbitacin I and another JAK2/STAT3 inhibitor, Stattic, decreased the intracellular bacterial number of F. novicida. However, these inhibitors failed to affect the cell attachment or the intrasaccular proliferation of F. novicida. In addition, treatment with these inhibitors destabilized actin filaments. These results suggest that the JAK2/STAT3 pathway plays an important role in internalization of F. novicida into host cells through mechanisms involving actin dynamics, such as phagocytosis. To meet the demand for information on electron temperature fluctuations in low magnetic field experiments in the Large Helical Device (LHD), a new ECE radiometer covering the Q and V bands has been installed. Combination mirrors are installed in the vacuum vessel to focus the beam and efficiently propagate the radiated electron cyclotron waves. Notch filters are used to eliminate stray light from the gyrotron, and a 32-channel heterodyne radiometer is constructed using a filter bank system. As a result, oscillations of electron temperature and both electromagnetic and electrostatic fluctuations were successfully observed.
