Abstract

AIM: To analyze the clinical application of calculated and gradient accommodative convergence/accommodation ratio(AC/A)in different eye positions.METHODS: A total of 127 myopes in ophthalmology were included. The calculated AC/A was obtained by near/distance phoria and the gradient AC/A was obtained by near addition +1.00D. The differences of eye positions of the calculated and gradient AC/A were compared. RESULTS:The calculated AC/A value was higher than the near +1.00D gradient AC/C(P0.05).CONCLUSION: The calculated AC/A is higher than the gradient AC/A, especially in patients with esophoria and emmetropia, it is easy to obtain high AC/A values by using the calculation method, resulting in erroneous diagnosis. The gradient method is more recommended.

Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study on the high-temperature oxidation characteristics after mechanical and laser removal of TA15 titanium alloy oxide film. The morphology, components, and roughness of the surface were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and laser confocal microscope (OM). The oxide film can be effectively removed with mechanical grinding and laser cleaning, and the oxide film after mechanical grinding is thicker and looser than that of after laser cleaning. The oxide film is principally composed of TiO2, Ti2O3 and TiO. Besides, there is a small amount of aluminum oxide on the surface. The surface after mechanical grinding was rougher than that of after laser cleaning. Thus, this work indicates that laser can not only clean the oxide film completely, but also strengthen the surface, which is a promising way to favor the widespread application of laser cleaning technology.

Abstract

Nanosecond laser cleaning provides an alternative cleaning method that displays a significantly improved cleaning efficiency without environmental pollution. This paper reports the results of an investigation into the nanosecond pulsed laser cleaning of TA15 titanium alloy oxide film using the laser fluence and the laser head moving speed as variables. The TA15 titanium alloy oxide film changed from original silver gray to silvery white with the increase of laser fluence. However, the material surface transformed from silvery-white into yellowish-brown when the laser energy fluence exceeded 5.97 J/cm2. This phenomenon was attributed to the formation of titanium alloy oxides (Ti6O, TiO2-anatase, γ-TiO2, and TiO) after removing the oxide film using a high laser fluence at atmospheric conditions. The best surface properties were obtained when the laser fluence and the laser head moving speed were set to 3.98 J/cm2 and 5 mm/s, respectively. The oxidation content and roughness were 2.08 wt% and 37 μm, respectively. The removal effect of the oxide film was best when the surface temperature was slightly higher than the boiling point of the oxide film, as shown by numerical calculations and analysis. The main mechanism of laser cleaning was laser ablation.
