Biologically active substances, essential oils, and plant extracts were studied obtained from new high-yield varieties of Origanum vulgare L. (Raduga, Belaya Ptitsa, Krymchanka) and Origanum tyttanthum Contsch. (Alcina) of the GSBSI “NBG – NSC RAS” breeding. It was found that the O. vulgare variety Belaya Ptitsa was distinguished by the content of essential oil, the main component of which was carvacrol. The maximum total content of phenolic substances and flavonoids was distinguished by an alcoholic extract from the O. tyttanthum variety. Neochlorogenic and rosemary acids, apigenin-6,8-di-C-glucoside, carvacrol, and thymol were identified in extracts of all the studied marjoram varieties. It is shown that the vegetable raw material O. vulgare cv “Belaya Ptica” is promising for the production of essential oil with a high content of carvacrol, and O. tyttanthum cv “ can serve as a raw source of rosemary acid.

The article is devoted to the problem of studying the state of transport infrastructure of the city of Ternopil in order to further develop a plan for sustainable urban mobility for territorial community of Ternopil city. To satisfy the existing needs of passengers in high-quality transport service, it is necessary to ensure a sufficient number of buses with large and medium passenger capacities. However, according to the principles of sustainable urban mobility, exploitation of the new “green” electric vehicles should be the priority for the modern transport policy of the community. Currently, the most problematic situation with insufficient parking spaces can be observed in the central part of Ternopil. In particular, the city is experiencing such situation due to the growing level of motorization of residents of Ternopil territorial community and, accordingly, the growing demand for the use of individual transport. To solve the current problem, various sources of financing, such as the city budget, the state budget, investments, loans, funds of individuals and legal entities are attracted. Despite this, the implementation of measures still largely depends on the local budget. Analysis of the allocation and development of fundings showed that there has been a prolonged underfinancing of works related to the transport infrastructure of Ternopil. An analysis of the actual indicators of the development of financial resources that have been allocated from the local budget to improve the state of SN for 2020 showed that they did not reach the planned values by 36.4%. Also, in 2020, according to the local budget, it was planned to finance the Program for the development of bicycle infrastructure of the city. The amount of financing was meant to be 2000.0 thousand UAH. However, in fact, no investments were actually made.

The road safety issues in the city of Ternopil are studied in this article. The found actual deficiencies were structured according to the main indicators. Based on the analysis of the movement of traffic flows in the morning period, the most problematic sections of the SRN (street and road network) were identified. In general, the speed of traffic flows along the SRN in the evening peak period was found significantly lower than in the morning peak period. To analyze road traffic safety in the city of Ternopil, a cartographic method was applied. Based the obtained results, the road accidents in Ternopil mostly occur along main streets without clearly defined places of concentration. In this regard, a conditional indicator of the danger of transport corridors of Ternopil was derived, which allows analyzing the predominant location (clustering) of road accidents with victims in each district of the city. The current policy and practices of Ternopil in the field of road safety management need improvement. However, the volume of performed measures does not fully cover the need in traffic safety insurance and information provision of traffic participants. In general, it can be stated that proactive actions in the field of ensuring traffic safety are just starting in Ternopil (“starting city”). Thus, it differs favorably from the vast majority of other regional centers, in which the problem of traffic safety has not been even discussed so far. In addition, the plan for sustainable urban mobility is under consideration in the Ternopil City Territorial Community.

The results of studying the antimicrobial activity of an essential oil obtained by steam distillation from dry raw materials of lemon monarda (Monarda citriodora Cerv. ex Lag.), grown in the conditions of the Steppe Crimea (Prisivashye). The major components of the studied essential oil are thymol (61.52%), p-cimene (7.55%), carvacrol (6.54%), γ-terpin (5.56%). The high antimicrobial activity of the essential oil against reference cultures and clinical isolates of Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms has been established, which indicates the prospects of its use as a potential antibacterial drug of natural origin.

The collection of plants grown in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden is an inexhaustible source of plant resources. One such resource species is Thymus vulgaris L. Being a perennial, the species is traditionally used as an aromatic, essential oil and medicinal plant. Thyme herb is described as a medicinal raw material in many pharmacopoeias. Essential oil and phenolic compounds, which are considered the main active ingredients of this raw material, are a source of antiviral, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and other therapeutically significant activities of drugs created on its basis. The purpose of the presented research was to study the essential oil and develop some indicators of the quality of raw materials (herbs) of the new essential oil variety Thymus vulgaris cv. ‘Fantasiya’ cultivated in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. As a result of the study, it was found that this variety of thyme allows to get 40 kg of essential oil per hectare, with a high content of the main components - thymol and carvacrol. Some indicators of the raw materials quality, as well as the qualitative composition of the essential oil and the quantitative content of the components identified in it, were determined.

Objective: The aim: To improve diagnosis of essential hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy and chronic heart failure in men citizens of Podillya region in Ukraine by determining the plasma levels of cardiotrophin-1 in patients with different CT-1 gene variants., Patients and Methods: Materials and methods: A total of 70 men with no signs of cardiovascular disease and 100 patients with essential hypertension were examined. Among those, 50 participants had hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. Other 50 patients had hypertension complicated by chronic heart failure., Results: Results: It was established that in patients with essential hypertension the frequency of the pool of genotypes GA + AA is higher than the genotype GG (p <0.05). Plasma CT-1 levels ≥ 122,895 pg / ml can be used for early diagnosis left ventricular hypertrophy, and the cut-off level is ≥ 303.81 pg / ml (sensitivity 85.7%, specificity 92%) for screening diagnosis of essential hypertension complications in the form of chronic heart failure., Conclusion: Conclusions: In patients with essential hypertension of varying severity, the GA+АА genotypes of CT-1 gene was found to be dominant. They had higher levels of plasma concentration CT-1. The threshold levels of CT-1 for screening diagnosis of essential hypertension with hypertrophy and chronic heart failure in males (who were residents of the Podillya region of Ukraine) were evaluated.
