According to the United Nations, around 53 million metric tons of electronic waste is produced every year, worldwide, the big majority of which goes unprocessed. With the rapid advances in AI technologies and adoption of smart gadgets, the demand for powerful logic and memory chips is expected to boom. Therefore, the development of green electronics is crucial to minimizing the impact of the alarmingly increasing e‐waste. Here, it is shown the application of a green synthesized, chemically stable, carbonyl‐decorated 2D organic, and biocompatible polymer as an active layer in a memristor device, sandwiched between potentially fully recyclable electrodes. The 2D polymer's ultramicro channels, decorated with C═O and O─H groups, efficiently promote the formation of copper nanofilaments. As a result, the device shows excellent bipolar resistive switching behavior with the potential to mimic synaptic plasticity. A large resistive switching window (103), low SET/RESET voltage of ≈0.5/−1.5 V), excellent device‐to‐device stability and synaptic features are demonstrated. Leveraging the device's synaptic characteristics, its applications in image denoising and edge detection is examined. The results show a reduction in power consumption by a factor of 103 compared to a traditional Tesla P40 graphics processing unit, indicating great promise for future sustainable AI‐based applications. Developing an anode material that has better performance efficiency than commercial graphite while keeping the features of economic scalability and environmental safety is highly desirable yet challenging. MOFs are a promising addition to the ongoing efforts, however, the relatively poor performance, chemical instability, and large‐scale economic production of efficiency‐proven pristine MOFs restrict their utility in real‐life energy storage applications. Furthermore, hierarchical porosity for lucid mass diffusion, high‐density lithiophilic sites are some of the structural parameters for improving the electrode performance. Herein, we have demonstrated the potential of economically scalable salicylaldehydate 3D‐conjugated‐MOF (Fe−Tp) as a high‐performance anode in Li‐ion batteries: the anode‐specific capacity achieved up to 1447 mAh g−1 at 0.1 A g−1 and 89 % of cyclic stability after 500 cycles at 1.0 A g−1 for pristine MOF. More importantly, incorporating 10 % Fe−Tp doping in commercial graphite (MOFite) significantly enhanced lithium storage, doubling capacity after 400 cycles. Two-dimensional (2D) materials for the electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) can offer a groundbreaking and sustainable alternative to the traditional Haber–Bosch process. Two-dimensional metal–organic frameworks (2D MOFs) have the potential to serve as single-atom catalysts (SACs), enabling the utilization of active metal centers up to 100% in the eNRR and also capable of reducing the HER effectively. This work outlines the screening of a new series of TM–Tp 2D MOFs (where Tp = 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol; TM = Cu, Ni, Cr, Mo, Os, Ru, and W) for the NRR, using density functional theory. Two screening stages based on the activation of the N2 molecule and stabilization of the NNH intermediate showed that the Mo–Tp MOF monolayer is the most viable catalyst to be studied further. Mo–Tp shows outstanding stability and high potency towards being an efficient NRR catalyst with high selectivity. An investigation of the NRR pathway showed a limiting potential (UL) of −0.38 V in the distal pathway. Furthermore, the theoretical faradaic efficiency (FEt) is 100% towards the NRR. Water treatment has experienced a surge in the adoption of membrane separation technology. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs), a class of metal‐free and open‐framework materials, have emerged as potential membrane materials owing to their interconnected periodic porosity, tunability, and chemical stability. However, the challenges associated with processing COF powders into self‐standing membranes have spurred the emergence of COF composite membranes. This review article highlights the rationale behind developing COF composite membranes and their categories, including mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) and thin film composite (TFC) membranes. The common fabrication techniques of each category are presented. In addition, the influence of COF additives on the performance of the resultant composite membranes is systematically discussed, with a focus on the recent progress in applying COF composite membranes in the separation of different categories of water pollutants, including organic ions/molecules, toxic solvents, proteins, toxic heavy metals, and radionuclides.
