2. TaiChi Action Capture and Performance Analysis with Multi-view RGB Cameras

Abstract

Recent advances in computer vision and deep learning have influenced the field of sports performance analysis for researchers to track and reconstruct freely moving humans without any marker attachment. However, there are few works for vision-based motion capture and intelligent analysis for professional TaiChi movement. In this paper, we propose a framework for TaiChi performance capture and analysis with multi-view geometry and artificial intelligence technology. The main innovative work is as follows: 1) A multi-camera system suitable for TaiChi motion capture is built and the multi-view TaiChi data is collected and processed; 2) A combination of traditional visual method and implicit neural radiance field is proposed to achieve sparse 3D skeleton fusion and dense 3D surface reconstruction. 3) The normalization modeling of movement sequences is carried out based on motion transfer, so as to realize TaiChi performance analysis for different groups. We have carried out evaluation experiments, and the experimental results have shown the efficiency of our method.

Abstract

Characterizing playing style is important for football clubs on scouting, monitoring and match preparation. Previous studies considered a player's style as a combination of technical performances, failing to consider the spatial information. Therefore, this study aimed to characterize the playing styles of each playing position in the Chinese Football Super League (CSL) matches, integrating a recently adopted Player Vectors framework. Data of 960 matches from 2016-2019 CSL were used. Match ratings, and ten types of match events with the corresponding coordinates for all the lineup players whose on-pitch time exceeded 45 minutes were extracted. Players were first clustered into 8 positions. A player vector was constructed for each player in each match based on the Player Vectors using Nonnegative Matrix Factorization (NMF). Another NMF process was run on the player vectors to extract different types of playing styles. The resulting player vectors discovered 18 different playing styles in the CSL. Six performance indicators of each style were investigated to observe their contributions. In general, the playing styles of forwards and midfielders are in line with football performance evolution trends, while the styles of defenders should be reconsidered. Abstract

Field survival courses are one of the key courses to improve the survival skills of the military on the battlefield. Practical micro-courses can provide more diversified learning opportunities and help students engage in course learning during the preview and review stages, enhancing the effectiveness of course learning. However, as a new thing, many teachers make mistakes in the production process, resulting in a decline in production efficiency. This article continuously summarizes the experience in the recording process of the “Field Survival” micro-course and condenses it into an efficient production process that can guide the production of practical military practice-oriented micro-courses.

Abstract

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) regulation for single‐atom nanozymes (SAzymes), e.g. Fe−N−C, is a key scientific issue that determines the activity, selectivity, and stability of aerobic reaction. However, the poor understanding of ROS formation mechanism on SAzymes greatly hampers their wider deployment. Herein, inspired by cytochromes P450 affording bound ROS intermediates in O2 activation, we report Fe−N−C containing the same FeN4 but with tunable second‐shell coordination can effectively regulate ROS production pathways. Remarkably, compared to the control Fe−N−C sample, the second‐shell sulfur functionalized Fe−N−C delivered a 2.4‐fold increase of oxidase‐like activity via the bound Fe=O intermediate. Conversely, free ROS (⋅O2−) release was significantly reduced after functionalization, down to only 17 % of that observed for Fe−N−C. The detailed characterizations and theoretical calculations revealed that the second‐shell sulfur functionalization significantly altered the electronic structure of FeN4 sites, leading to an increase of electron density at Fermi level. It enhanced the electron transfer from active sites to the key intermediate *OOH, thereby ultimately determining the type of ROS in aerobic oxidation process. The proposed Fe−N−Cs with different second‐shell anion were further applied to three aerobic oxidation reactions with enhanced activity, selectivity, and stability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
