3. Supplementary Features of BiLSTM for Enhanced Sequence Labeling

Abstract

Sequence labeling tasks require the computation of sentence representations for each word within a given sentence. A prevalent method incorporates a Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) layer to enhance the sequence structure information. However, empirical evidence Li (2020) suggests that the capacity of BiLSTM to produce sentence representations for sequence labeling tasks is inherently limited. This limitation primarily results from the integration of fragments from past and future sentence representations to formulate a complete sentence representation. In this study, we observed that the entire sentence representation, found in both the first and last cells of BiLSTM, can supplement each the individual sentence representation of each cell. Accordingly, we devised a global context mechanism to integrate entire future and past sentence representations into each cell's sentence representation within the BiLSTM framework. By incorporating the BERT model within BiLSTM as a demonstration, and conducting exhaustive experiments on nine datasets for sequence labeling tasks, including named entity recognition (NER), part of speech (POS) tagging, and End-to-End Aspect-Based sentiment analysis (E2E-ABSA). We noted significant improvements in F1 scores and accuracy across all examined datasets.

Abstract

A nickel‐catalyzed reductive alkylative cyclization of 1,6‐enynes with alkyl bromides has been developed. This transformation avoids the use of stoichiometric organometallic reagents and introduces alkyl groups regio‐ and stereoselectively into the products. Abstract

As one of the most potent greenhouse gases, SF6 has a significant economic and environmental impact on the purification and recovery of exhaust gases from the semiconductor industry. The adsorption and separation performance of SF6 on a two‐dimensional covalent organic framework TAT‐COFs‐1‐AB with different functional groups (SO3H, Et, NH2, OMe, OH, H) was investigated by using grand canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) simulations and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The results show that the adsorption at low pressure depends on the interactions between the SF6 and COF frameworks, while at high pressure it is mainly affected by the porosity. The highest adsorption capacity of 8.44 mmol/g (298 K, 100 kPa) is exhibited by TAT‐COF‐1‐AB‐H, which has the highest porosity. Chemical functionalization was found to be effective in enhancing the SF6/N2 selectivity. Among all the functionalized COFs, TAT‐COF‐1‐AB‐NH2, with the highest specific surface area and strong heat of adsorption, showed the highest selectivity. The simulation of self‐diffusion also shows consistent results with the GCMC simulation. The findings highlight that the adsorption capacity is influenced by substituent and porosity, with SF6 showing a consistent preference for adsorption at hollow sites, as evidenced by binding energy and charge transfer analyses. Abstract

Monitoring is a major component of asthma management in children. Regular monitoring allows for diagnosis confirmation, treatment optimization, and natural history review. Numerous factors that may affect disease activity and patient well-being need to be monitored: response and adherence to treatment, disease control, disease progression, comorbidities, quality of life, medication side-effects, allergen and irritant exposures, diet and more. However, the prioritization of such factors and the selection of relevant assessment tools is an unmet need. Furthermore, rapidly developing technologies promise new opportunities for closer, or even “real-time,” monitoring between visits. Following an approach that included needs assessment, evidence appraisal, and Delphi consensus, the PeARL Think Tank, in collaboration with major international professional and patient organizations, has developed a set of 24 recommendations on pediatric asthma monitoring, to support healthcare professionals in decision-making and care pathway design. 40. Magmatic‐hydrothermal Evolution and Mineralization Mechanisms of the Wangjiazhuang Cu (‐Mo) Deposit in the Zouping Volcanic Basin, Shandong Province, China: Constraints from Fluid Inclusions.

Abstract

The Wangjiazhuang Cu (‐Mo) deposit, located within the Zouping volcanic basin in western Shandong Province, China, is unique in this area for having an economic value. In order to expound the metallogenetic characteristics of this porphyry‐like hydrothermal deposit, a detailed fluid inclusion study has been conducted, employing the techniques of representative sampling, fluid inclusion petrography, microthermometry, Raman spectroscopy, LA‐ICP‐MS analysis of single fluid inclusions, as well as cathode fluorescence spectrometer analysis of host mineral quartz. The deposit contains mainly two types of orebodies, i.e. veinlet‐dissemination‐stockwork orebodies in the K‐Si alteration zone and pegmatitic‐quartz sulfide veins above them. In addition, minor breccia ore occurs locally. Four types of fluid inclusions in the deposit and altered quartz monzonite are identified: L‐type one‐ or two‐phase aqueous inclusions, V‐type vapor‐rich inclusions with V/L ratios greater than 50%–90%, D‐type multiphase fluid inclusions containing daughter minerals or solids and S‐type silicate‐bearing fluid inclusions containing mainly muscovite and biotite. Ore petrography and fluid inclusion study has revealed a three‐stage mineralization process, driven by magmatic‐hydrothermal fluid activity, as follows. Initially, a hydrothermal fluid, separated from the parent magma, infiltrated into the quartz monzonite, resulting in its extensive K‐Si alteration, as indicated by silicate‐bearing fluid inclusions trapped in altered quartz monzonite. This is followed by the early mineralization, the formation of quartz veinlets and dissemination‐stockwork ores. During the main mineralization stage, due to the participation and mixing of meteoric groundwater with magmatic‐sourced hydrothermal fluid, the cooling and phase separation caused deposition of metals from the hydrothermal fluids. As a result, the pegmatitic‐quartz sulfide‐vein ores formed. In the late mineralization stage, decreasing fluid salinity led to the formation of L‐type aqueous inclusions and chalcopyrite‐sulfosalt ore. Coexistence of V‐type and D‐type inclusions and their similar homogenization temperatures with different homogenization modes suggest that phase separation or boiling of the ore‐forming fluids took place during the early and the main mineralization stages. The formation P‐T conditions of S‐type inclusions and the early and the main mineralization stages were estimated as ca. 156–182 MPa and 450–650°C, 350–450°C, 18–35 MPa and 280–380°C, 8–15 MPa, respectively, based on the microthermometric data of the fluid inclusions formed at the individual stages. 50. Computer-Aided Design of Covalent Organic Frameworks for SF6Capture: The Combination of High-Throughput Screening and Machine Learning

Abstract

Efficiently separating sulfur hexafluoride/nitrogen (SF6/N2) poses an urgent challenge. Four covalent organic frameworks (COFs) (Re % > 80%) with greater performance in SF6/N2separation experiment were selected from the CURATED database by high-throughput screening in this paper. XGB was selected among four machine learning models (SVM, RF, GBRT, and XGB) and this model had good fitting effects in terms of both regeneration (Re %, R2= 0.809) and ln(Sads). Relative importance analyses of XGB described that porosity and infinite dilution heat are the most key features for Re % and ln(Sads). The binding energy, charge density difference, Bader charge, and independent gradient model based on Hirshfeld partition (IGMH) analysis were all calculated to investigate the adsorption mechanisms. GCMC simulations combined with density functional theory calculations revealed that COF-638 exhibited an excellent SF6/N2separation performance. The probability distribution diagram of the center of mass illustrates the adsorption sites of SF6in coadsorption.
