El presente estudio muestra un doble objetivo. En primer lugar, siguiendo los principios fundamentales de la Teoría de la Autodeterminación, plantea un análisis de los procesos motivacionales que acontecen en el aula de Educación Física; en segundo lugar, tomando como soporte el enfoque educativo de la Coopedagogía Motriz y los modelos pedagógicos del Aprendizaje Cooperativo y la Responsabilidad Personal y Social, expone el diseño de una propuesta de intervención de Unidad Didáctica de Educación Física Inclusiva. Para la toma de datos se han utilizado los cuestionarios adaptados al contexto español de la Escala de Medición de las Necesidades Psicológicas Básicas (BPNES) y la Escala del Locus Percibido de Causalidad en Educación Física (PLOC Scale) con una muestra de 30 discentes, con edades comprendidas entre los 16 y 17 años, matriculados en 1º de Bachillerato. Los resultados revelan la relación positiva entre la satisfacción de las Necesidades Psicológicas Básicas (NPB) de aprendizaje y la adopción de conductas más autodeterminadas y los procesos de regulación identificada, introyectada y externa. Asimismo, los datos asocian niveles más altos de las tres NPB de aprendizaje en los chicos que en las chicas. A partir de los resultados obtenidos se diseñó una propuesta intervención de Unidad Didáctica de Educación Física Inclusiva.

The SAPA game is part of a project called frAAgiLe (fraagile.eu) aimed at mitigating frailty, specially in its pre-frail stage. This game is easy to use and to access for everybody with a tablet and internet connection, which means that many more citizens will become active parts of the health system in an autonomous and self-responsible way to prevent their frailty status from worsening. SAPA also works with addressing health determinants, as cognitive frailty is a syndrome whose main relevance comes from the fact that it evolves into many health complications, that lead to loss of autonomy. SAPA game has different activities aimed at training multiple areas of cognitive frailty. The objective is to reach the exit door. He/she shall avoid several obstacles and collect the stars and the key. The different activities in the game work with abilities that are relevant to fight frailty, namely:MemorySpatial orientationAttentionExecutive functions (planifying)Prospective memorySelective attentionWith all these tasks performed, the levels increase in difficulty, while the user improves both as a gamer and as a frailty patient. The healthcarers can also adjust the difficulty and the platform itself has an algorithm for personalisation as, the system collects data from his/her performance and generates level suggestions. Once the training has been going on for some months, and combined with nutritional and physical training, as well as frailty monitoring one more tool will be at disposal of the health professional for controlling the health-related situation.The creation has involved both elders and carers. The testing of SAPA is being carried out in 2 phases (Lab Testing + Final Trial) and in 4 locations in Cyprus, Romania, Switzerland and Spain in health and day-care centres during 2 years. In these places, 60 users will perform the activities of the game and several tests in order to collect data and improve the system where possible. The remaining 40 participants will be part of the control group, whose role is to allow the comparison between groups. The tests include UTAUT for usability, combined with Tree Testing, Attention Based Engagement and Play Testing Questionnaire for the same purpose. These have drawn some results already in the Lab Testing, where 80% of the participants took less than 90 seconds to understand SAPA without instructions, which is a positive result. Also 75% of them had a positive or very positive of the overall experience. As for the monitoring of the participants´ health status, these tests are included: Initial Assessment designed by health professionals for obtaining general information followed by MMSE, IQCODE, AD8, MOCA, AMT, GDS and FAQ for the mental status and SPPB, FRIED's CRITERIA and MNA for the physical status. These tests have been placed in time by the team in order to avoid overlaps or over testing and so as to collect the best quality in the data, true to reality. The key finding includes the possibility to merge several abilities in the training of cognitive frailty through gamification.

Despite the fact that frailty is a holistic condition that entails many diverse factors and has a strong impact on health both at personal and social levels throughout Europe, many tend to treat it as a uniform and less relevant syndrome by attempting to mitigate it exclusively through traditional physical stimulation. The fact, however, is that inclusive approaches have proven more effective, and for this reason, the “frAAgiLe project”, funded by the European Commission under the AAL program has created “Chop it!” a serious game for tablet specifically designed to mitigate the effects of frailty through nutritional education.The Seventh Pillar is specially relevant when it comes to Chop it! as it is a digital solution whose aim is to contribute to the monitoring and mitigation of frailty from home with tablet devices and, in last term, alleviate the workload from health carers and professionals, especially nowadays, under the COVID 19 situation. Digital solutions have become key in solving many of the challenges that traditional methods have failed to address during the pandemic, and frailty is no less, which means that Chop it! may become a perfect companion for treatments.“Chop it! Game” includes a basic and an advanced level. Within the basic level, the user shall train his/her memory and nutritional values by selecting healthy ingredients within a set of them that pass fast along the screen. These ingredients have been selected by professionals and they can be combined to cook healthy menus personalised for people in frail and pre-frail states. The advanced level is divided in two scenarios, where the first one trains cognitive skills in daily activities, in this case, shopping in the supermarket, while the second one trains cooking skills for healthy habits with a set of specifically designed recipes. Apart from these, the game also includes interesting documents for more information from official institutions including the World Health Organisation. The game collects data in terms of mistakes and success and sends it to the cloud, where it is stored according to European Law and processed to get to know more about the status of the user.Up until now, “Chop it! Game” has been tested both in co-creation sessions and in Lab Testing and in the near future, definitive, longitudinal studies are to be conducted in the form of Final Trials in natural environments. More than 75% of the users were happy with the game and found it enjoyable. Feedback was received and the game is being adapted especially in terms of usability and graphics, thanks to the performance of SUS and Play Testing Questionnaire as well as the organisation of focus groups.

The aim of the study was to analyse the perception of the barriers and motives for the practice of physical activity (PA) in people with a disability, according to gender and type of disability. The participants in this investigation were 103 people with a disability (33.25 ± 11.86 years) who were habitual users of PA or sports programmes. They completed the questionnaire Motives and Barriers for Physical Activity and Sport (MBAFD). The results showed that personal barriers were more important than environmental ones and that the most outstanding motives were those related to leisure, enjoyment or social aspects. Regarding gender, women perceived more barriers than men. For the people with physical (PD) and intellectual (ID) disabilities, the most common barriers were of an intrinsic nature, and for those with a visual disability (VD), barriers of an environmental nature. With respect to the motives, people with PD gave higher scores to the items related to aspects of physical improvement and rehabilitation. In contrast, people with ID and VD placed more importance on reasons of leisure, enjoyment and social relations. Knowledge of these findings can be a tool to help increase the provision of PA for people with a disability. Background To date, no immunological data on COVID-19 heterologous vaccination schedules in humans have been reported. We assessed the immunogenicity and reactogenicity of BNT162b2 (Comirnaty, BioNTech, Mainz, Germany) administered as second dose in participants primed with ChAdOx1-S (Vaxzevria, AstraZeneca, Oxford, UK). Methods We did a phase 2, open-label, randomised, controlled trial on adults aged 18–60 years, vaccinated with a single dose of ChAdOx1-S 8–12 weeks before screening, and no history of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Participants were randomly assigned (2:1) to receive either BNT162b2 (0·3 mL) via a single intramuscular injection (intervention group) or continue observation (control group). The primary outcome was 14-day immunogenicity, measured by immunoassays for SARS-CoV-2 trimeric spike protein and receptor binding domain (RBD). Antibody functionality was assessed using a pseudovirus neutralisation assay, and cellular immune response using an interferon-γ immunoassay. The safety outcome was 7-day reactogenicity, measured as solicited local and systemic adverse events. The primary analysis included all participants who received at least one dose of BNT162b2 and who had at least one efficacy evaluation after baseline. The safety analysis included all participants who received BNT162b2. This study is registered with EudraCT (2021-001978-37) and ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04860739), and is ongoing. Strategies to determine who could be safely discharged home from the Emergency Department (ED) in COVID-19 are needed to decongestion healthcare systems.To describe the outcomes of an ED triage system for non-severe patients with suspected COVID-19 and possible pneumonia based on chest X-ray (CXR) upon admission.Retrospective, single-center study performed in Barcelona (Spain) during the COVID-19 peak in March-April 2020. Patients with COVID-19 symptoms and potential pneumonia, without respiratory insufficiency, with priority class IV-V (Andorran triage model) had a CXR upon admission. This approach tried to optimize resource use and to facilitate discharges. The results after adopting this organizational approach are reported.We included 834 patients, 53% were female. Most patients were white (66%) or Hispanic (27%). CXR showed pneumonia in 523 (62.7%). Compared to those without pneumonia, patients with pneumonia were older (55 vs 46.6 years old) and had a higher Charlson comorbidity index (1.9 vs 1.3). Patients with pneumonia were at a higher risk for a combined outcome of admission and/or death (91 vs 12%). Death rates tended to be numerically higher in the pneumonia group (10 vs 1). Among patients without pneumonia in the initial CXR, 10% reconsulted (40% of them with new pneumonia).CXR identified pneumonia in a significant number of patients. Those without pneumonia were mostly discharged. Mortality among patients with an initially negative CXR was low. CXR triage for pneumonia in non-severe COVID-19 patients in the ED can be an effective strategy to optimize resource use.La pandemia de COVID-19 conlleva una alta ocupación de los servicios de urgencias (SU). Se requieren nuevas estrategias para optimizar la gestión de estos recursos.Describir los resultados de un sistema de triaje en urgencias para pacientes no graves con sospecha de COVID-19 y posible neumonía, basado en la radiografía de tórax (RT).Estudio retrospectivo, unicéntrico realizado en Barcelona (España) entre marzo y abril de 2020. Se realizó una RT al ingreso en SU de pacientes con síntomas de COVID-19 y sospecha de neumonía, sin insuficiencia respiratoria, con una prioridad clase IV-V (sistema andorrano de triaje). Esta medida pretende optimizar los recursos y facilitar las altas. Se reportan los resultados tras adoptar esta estrategia.Se incluyeron 834 pacientes (53% mujeres, 66% caucásicos, 27% hispánicos). La RT mostró neumonía en 523 (62,7%). Comparados con los pacientes sin neumonía, los que sí la padecían eran mayores (55 vs. 46,6 años), con un índice de comorbilidad de Charlson más elevado (1,9 vs. 1,3) y con mayor riesgo de ingreso y/o muerte (91 vs. 12%). La mortalidad fue numéricamente mayor en el grupo con neumonía (10 vs. 1). El 10% de los pacientes sin neumonía en RT consultaron de nuevo al SU (40% con neumonía).La RT identificó neumonía en múltiples pacientes. Los que no tenían neumonía fueron mayoritariamente dados de alta. La mortalidad entre pacientes con RT negativa fue baja. La RT como triaje para neumonía en pacientes con COVID-19 no grave puede ahorrar recursos.

The Pluspetrol Camisea Biodiversity Monitoring Program (BMP) has been collecting data on the distribution and status of species of flora and fauna and provisioning ecosystem services within the 247,000 ha upstream area of influence since 2005. In order to synthesize, integrate and map a complex, long-term data set on species and provisioning ecosystem services (fishing, hunting and gathering by local communities) the BMP utilized Saaty’s analytical hierarchical process (AHP) to categorize sensitivity of stream basins within the Project Area of Influence. The BMP conducted a critical habitat analysis based on International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standard 6 (PS6) using long-term monitoring data to inform the CHA, prioritize and map sensitive biodiversity values according to stream basin and landscape unit type. In addition, the BMP synthesized social data on provisioning ecosystem services based on data collected during household interviews, participatory resource mapping, and field data on bush meat biomass. Using AHP allowed the BMP to obtain an integrated biological and social database that facilitates mapping sensitive habitats at a relatively small-scale (stream basins). Pluspetrol utilizes the database and maps to inform their biodiversity management and residual impact reduction strategy. The combination of biological and social data with AHP is a useful tool for both Project management and sustainable land-use planning.

Este artículo se centra en el ocio de las personas mayores que, por sus características, se hallan en situación de dependencia. Para conocer esta realidad se realiza una exhaustiva recopilación de los últimos datos sobre envejecimiento y dependencia, incidiendo también en el concepto de discapacidad. El colectivo envejecido está en situación constante de crecimiento ya que, además de las personas mayores que envejecen y aumentan su grado de dependencia, se suman personas adultas con discapacidad que alcanzan la vejez. Ambos grupos, aparentemente diferentes en cuanto al proceso de desarrollo de la dependencia, interseccionan en un conjunto de necesidades y demandas similares a la hora de poder disfrutar y participar en actividades de ocio

The serious leisure explains the commitment and involvement in leisure practices in order to acquire and express the skills needed to carry them out. The SLIM (Serious Leisure Inventory and Measure) is an instrument used to the measure and evaluate of this concept. The main objective of this study is to analyze the psychometric characteristics and structural validity of the SLIM. Involved in the study 232 amateur sportspeople who were administered the 54-item version of SLIM. For the construct validity, theoretical models proposed by Gould, Moore, Karlin, Gaede, Walker and Dotterweich (2011) through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were tested. The measure model offered very appropriate fit index (χ²(9) = 15,23, p = ,087, χ²/df = 3,29, GFI = ,97, CFI = ,98, SRMR = ,04, RMSEA = ,05 [,02-,09]) with Composite Reliability index between ,71 and ,86. Resumen Objetivo Analizar la prevalencia y caracteristicas de pacientes con anemia ingresados en una unidad geriatrica de agudos, y su valor pronostico de mortalidad al ano. Material y metodos Estudio descriptivo prospectivo en el que se incluyo a los pacientes ingresados en la unidad de geriatria. Se diagnostico la anemia segun los criterios de la Organizacion Mundial de la Salud. A todos los enfermos se les realizo una valoracion geriatrica integral. Un ano mas tarde se realizo seguimiento via telefonica y se valoro mortalidad y situacion funcional. Resultados Se incluyo a 145 pacientes, edad media de 81 anos, de los cuales 93 (64,13%) presentaban anemia. Los tipos mas frecuentes de anemia fueron la de procesos cronicos y la ferropenica. El indice de Barthel fue menor en los pacientes con anemia (p Conclusion La anemia es un enfermedad muy prevalente en pacientes de edad avanzada que ingresan por un proceso agudo y se asocia con una peor situacion funcional.

Este artículo se centra en conocer qué factores del ámbito escolar, familiar y personal son percibidos por los jóvenes, en función del género, como barreras para la no participación en actividades de ocio que les gustan. Las barreras han sido un tema ampliamente estudiado por la psicología social desde los años 80, abordando estudios que se han centrado en colectivos concretos e identificando en todos los casos barreras de diferente naturaleza: económicas, sociales, educativas y psicológicas. El colectivo joven ha sido también estudiado, desde diferentes ópticas, poniendo el acento, por un lado en la evolución de las prácticas de ocio y por otro, en los riesgos asociados a conductas de ocio juvenil; indudablemente cabe destacar el papel del ocio en ese ciclo vital como: ámbito de socialización, factor que contribuye al desarrollo de la identidad y elemento de bienestar personal. En este estudio, de ámbito estatal, participan 684 jóvenes estudiantes de institutos, cuyas edades se encuentran entre los 16 y 27 años. Uno de los principales resultados obtenidos es que los jóvenes practican más actividades de índole recreativa, tales como estar con los amigos o navegar por Internet, y que a pesar de que les gustaría practicar más deporte no lo hacen por falta de tiempo, esta barrera es mayor en las chicas que presentan menor disponibilidad. También aparecen diferencias significativas por género en la percepción de bienestar. This article focuses on knowing that factors of school, family and personal sphere are perceived by young people, by gender, as barriers for non-participation in leisure activities they like. Barriers has been a topic widely studied by social psychology from the 80s, addressing studies have focused on specific groups and identifying in all cases barriers of different nature: economic, social, educational and psychological. The youth has also been studied from different perspectives, with emphasis on the one hand in the evolution of leisure practices and on the other, the risks associated with behaviors of youth leisure; undoubtedly it has to include the role of leisure in that life step as an area of socialization, factor that contributes to the development of identity and personal welfare. In this study, at national level, 684 young high school students, whose ages are between 16 and 27 years. One of the main results is that young people practice more activities of a recreational nature, like being with friends or surfing the Internet, and that although they would like to practice more sport do not for lack of time, this barrier is higher in girls who have less availability. Significant gender differences also appear in the perception of well-being.

To describe the characteristics, prevalence and prognostic of anemia in older patients admitted to an acute geriatric unit.A prospective descriptive study was conducted on patients admitted to a geriatric unit. Anemia was defined using the World Health Organization criteria. A comprehensive geriatric assessment was performed on all patients. When possible, a telephone follow-up re-evaluation (mortality, functional status) was performed one year after discharge.A total of 145 patients were studied. The mean age was 81 years, and 93 (64.13%) were anemic. Chronic diseases and iron deficiency anemia were the most frequent. Anemic patients had lower scores in the Barthel Index (P.05). The mortality one year after discharge was 47.9%, with no differences between anemic or non-anemic patients (OR 2.07, [0.98-4.4]). All the geriatric indexes (Barthel index; Charlson comorbidity index, Mini-mental state examination and Mini Nutritional Assessment) showed worse scores in patients who died one year after discharge.The prevalence of anemia in the elderly admitted to a geriatric unit is elevated, and associated with a poorer functional status.
