The examination of the convergence between digital rights and women's empowerment is conducted within the socio-legal framework in Pakistan, with particular emphasis on the influence of contemporary Islamic legal perspectives amidst increased social media engagement. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the evolving dynamics of women's participation in the digital space and the attendant impact on empowerment in Pakistan. The analysis discussed the origins and expansion of digital landscape and the influence of social media on people's lives. The qualitative study focused on Islamic teachings and the implications for rules in the digital world. In addition, data was collected through interviews with several women of different ages and backgrounds. Social media and digital platforms offered access to information, education, and opportunities for skills development. The results showed that women used digital platforms for entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. This supported economic independence and ethical business practices, in line with Islamic principles to seize opportunities. In the face of challenges and opportunities, the ethical dimensions were considered from an Islamic perspective. Emphasizing values such as justice, privacy, dignity, and the pursuit of knowledge could guide efforts to promote digital rights for women's empowerment in line with Islamic principles.

The use of medical 3D printing has expanded dramatically for breast diseases. A writing group composed of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Special Interest Group on 3D Printing (SIG) provides updated appropriateness criteria for breast 3D printing in various clinical scenarios. Evidence-based appropriateness criteria are provided for the following clinical scenarios: benign breast lesions and high-risk breast lesions, breast cancer, breast reconstruction, and breast radiation (treatment planning and radiation delivery).

Persuasion in media discourses produces certain meanings and mobilizes public attitudes in a set direction. Logical appeals, for instance, are created to gather public support for a particular viewpoint, which propagates a specific cause. This paper critically investigates the newspaper's use of persuasion strategies employed by editorial writers to represent the 2011 Arab Spring conflict. The data consist of 20 newspaper editorials published in the Arab News (AN) belonging to the Arab region yet presumed as a newspaper's voice from a non-Arab spring country. The purpose is to probe journalistic roles and discursive positions taken in representing the conflict. The content analysis technique is used to examine the selected editorials. Findings reveal that the newspaper (AN) constructed the events persuasively and portrayed different aspects of the uprising. This study points out that editorial writers relied on several logical appeals to, almost, set a pro-Arab Spring stage. In addition, it has been noticed that the AN adopted a more compassionate attitude towards protesters' losses, and their ambitions for bringing a 'change' were justified, generally, than the ruling authorities. Overall, the findings reaffirm the media's contribution to represent conflicts in different societies under social, cultural, political, and national parameters by using certain tools of persuasion. This study recommends that future research should draw a comparison between news reports and editorial opinions, and investigate post-Arab Spring situations.

Social media is currently overgrowing, which certainly impacts people's lifestyles. However, these advances are often exploited, with cyberporn being one example. This essay seeks to evaluate and critique pornography from the point of view of Indonesian Islamic criminal law. Examining the application of criminal sanctions for pornography by Islamic criminal law, as well as the reasons why it is created and prohibited, is the aim of this study. This study examines laws and regulations with a normative legal approach. It is the study of normative juridical law. This research data set comes from legal sources. The research findings suggest several behaviors, weaknesses in judgment, constitutive consequences, additional circumstances, additional requirements for a criminal prosecution, and additional requirements for punishment that fall under the category of pornography crimes of Islamic criminal law. Criminal sanctions in Islamic law allow adultery and ta'zir as punishment for pornography offenders. Criminal acts in pornography include various forms, including sounds, moving images, animations, cartoons, conversations, body movements, and public performances containing sexual exploitation or obscene content that violates the norms of social decency.

The Protecting Access to Medicare Act (PAMA) mandates clinical decision support mechanism (CDSM) consultation for all advanced imaging. There are a growing number of studies examining the association of CDSM use with imaging appropriateness, but a paucity of multicenter data. This observational study evaluates the association between changes in advanced imaging appropriateness scores with increasing provider exposure to CDSM. Each provider's first 200 consecutive anonymized requisitions for advanced imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine) using a single CDSM (CareSelect, Change Healthcare) between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2019 were collected from 288 US institutions. Changes in imaging requisition proportions among four appropriateness categories ("usually appropriate" [green], "may be appropriate" [yellow], "usually not appropriate" [red], and unmapped [gray]) were evaluated in relation to the chronological order of the requisition for each provider and total provider exposure to CDSM using logistic regression fits and Wald tests. The number of providers and requisitions included was 244,158 and 7,345,437, respectively. For 10,123 providers with ≥ 200 requisitions (2,024,600 total requisitions), the fraction of green, yellow, and red requisitions among the last 10 requisitions changed by +3.0% (95% confidence interval +2.6% to +3.4%), -0.8% (95% CI -0.5% to -1.1%), and -3.0% (95% CI 3.3% to -2.7%) in comparison with the first 10, respectively. Providers with > 190 requisitions had 8.5% (95% CI 6.3% to 10.7%) more green requisitions, 2.3% (0.7% to 3.9%) fewer yellow requisitions, and 0.5% (95% CI -1.0% to 2.0%) fewer red (not statistically significant) requisitions relative to providers with ≤ 10 requisitions. Increasing provider exposure to CDSM is associated with improved appropriateness scores for advanced imaging requisitions.

Leadership and its connection with social sustainability are frequently prescribed for effective management. Integrating self-leadership among the employees is an emerging area to focus on empowering an organization. The principal objective of this study was to empirically investigate the impact of self-leadership on normative commitment and work performance through the mediating role of work engagement. This phenomenon of self-leadership was explained by using the theoretical lens of the social cognitive theory and intrinsic motivation theory. Data was collected from 318 employees who worked in the telecom sector in Pakistan and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) AMOS. The findings revealed that in the presence of self-leadership, employee's work engagement, commitment to the organization, and overall work performance elevated significantly. Furthermore, the results also illustrated the occurrence of two significant mediating paths. First, the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between self-leadership and normative commitment, and second, the mediation of work engagement in the relationship between self-leadership and work performance. This study aims to explain the reform of marriage registration policies in Indonesia and Malaysia. Marriage registration policies in Indonesia and Malaysia have yet to be appropriately implemented. This is proven by the fact that many unregistered marriage practices exist. This study is a literature and field research. Data was collected through documentation and interviews. This study found that the States of Indonesia and Malaysia have issued policies regarding the mandatory registration of marriages. Even so, there are still many unregistered marriages. There are many factors behind the occurrence of unregistered marriages, besides also causing problems. The government needs to reform the marriage registration policy, one of which is through digitalization. The State of Indonesia has innovated marriage registration, namely, online registration of marriages. However, this policy was implemented less effectively below. Meanwhile, the Malaysian state still needs to renew its marriage registration policy. Therefore, in this digital era, it is necessary to have a policy for registering marriages in the direction of complete digitization so that problems can be appropriately resolved.

Recent technological innovations have created new opportunities for the increased adoption of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications in medicine. While medical applications of VR have historically seen greater adoption from patient-as-user applications, the new era of VR/AR technology has created the conditions for wider adoption of clinician-as-user applications. Historically, adoption to clinical use has been limited in part by the ability of the technology to achieve a sufficient quality of experience. This article reviews the definitions of virtual and augmented reality and briefly covers the history of their development. Currently available options for consumer-level virtual and augmented reality systems are presented, along with a discussion of technical considerations for their adoption in the clinical environment. Finally, a brief review of the literature of medical VR/AR applications is presented prior to introducing a comprehensive conceptual framework for the viewing and manipulation of medical images in virtual and augmented reality. Using this framework, we outline considerations for placing these methods directly into a radiology-based workflow and show how it can be applied to a variety of clinical scenarios.

Medical three-dimensional (3D) printing has expanded dramatically over the past three decades with growth in both facility adoption and the variety of medical applications. Consideration for each step required to create accurate 3D printed models from medical imaging data impacts patient care and management. In this paper, a writing group representing the Radiological Society of North America Special Interest Group on 3D Printing (SIG) provides recommendations that have been vetted and voted on by the SIG active membership. This body of work includes appropriate clinical use of anatomic models 3D printed for diagnostic use in the care of patients with specific medical conditions. The recommendations provide guidance for approaches and tools in medical 3D printing, from image acquisition, segmentation of the desired anatomy intended for 3D printing, creation of a 3D-printable model, and post-processing of 3D printed anatomic models for patient care.

In this work, we provide specific clinical examples to demonstrate basic practical techniques involved in image segmentation, computer-aided design, and 3D printing. A step-by-step approach using United States Food and Drug Administration cleared software is provided to enhance surgical intervention in a patient with a complex superior sulcus tumor. Furthermore, patient-specific device creation is demonstrated using dedicated computer-aided design software. Relevant anatomy for these tasks is obtained from CT Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine images, leading to the generation of 3D printable files and delivery of these files to a 3D printer.

Medical 3D printing holds the potential of transforming personalized medicine by enabling the fabrication of patient-specific implants, reimagining prostheses, developing surgical guides to expedite and transform surgical interventions, and enabling a growing multitude of specialized applications. In order to realize this tremendous potential in frontline medicine, an understanding of the basic principles of 3D printing by the medical professionals is required. This primer underlines the basic approaches and tools in 3D printing, starting from patient anatomy acquired through cross-sectional imaging, in this case Computed Tomography (CT). We describe the basic principles using the relatively simple task of separation of the relevant anatomy to guide aneurysm repair. This is followed by exploration of more advanced techniques in the creation of patient-specific surgical guides and prostheses for a patient with extensive pleomorphic sarcoma using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.

Work engagement is arguably one of the key challenges confronted by the higher education sector of Pakistan. Therefore, it is important to understand the diverse perspectives of work engagement in this sector. This study examines the effect of job demand and spiritual leadership on work engagement in public universities of Pakistan through the mediating role of burnout and moderating effect of spiritual leadership between job demand and burnout and between burnout and work engagement. The study framework was established from theories, namely, the job demand-resource theory and the spiritual leadership theory. The respondents were 271 faculty members working in different universities of Pakistan. The findings show a significant relationship between job demand and burnout and between burnout and work engagement. Moreover, the results show a positive relationship between spiritual leadership with work engagement and negative relationship with burnout. However, the findings show the insignificant direct relationship between job demand and work engagement, whereas burnout mediates the relationship between job demand, spiritual leadership, and work engagement. Interestingly, spiritual leadership plays an important role in moderating the relationship between burnout and work engagement but does not moderate the relationship between job demand and burnout. Besides, the findings of the study will redound to organizational benefits by enriching research on the area of burnout and work engagement, which is so far in its infancy by referring to its potential antecedent and moderating variable. Finally, the study will be useful for both organizations and employees to achieve desired outcomes.

Knee osteoarthritis is often treated surgically (knee joint replacement) or non-surgically (physiotherapy, pharmacological treatment). However, interventional radiologists can also offer a number of image-guided percutaneous therapies, including pharmacological treatments (intra-articular steroid, local anesthetic, and hyaluronic acid injections), biological options (platelet-rich plasma or mesenchymal stem cell injections), and newer nonpharmacological therapies (neuroablation, neuromodulation, and genicular artery embolization). Intra-articular steroid injection is the most widely used radiologically guided therapy; it provides pain relief and can help confirm the joint as the source of pain. However, platelet-rich plasma injection may provide greater pain relief and functional improvement compared with other intra-articular injections. Mesenchymal stem cell injections may improve pain, function, and cartilage volume, but the therapy is still under clinical investigation. Neuroablation and neuromodulation achieve pain reduction by targeting the sensory nerves of the knee joint. Radiofrequency ablation has been shown to be more effective than intraarticular steroid injections at treating knee osteoarthritis pain and function. Potential advantages of neuromodulation over conventional radiofrequency ablation include less intraprocedural pain and lower risk of thermal damage to adjacent structures. Genicular artery embolization aims to downregulate inflammation and its downstream effects by altering synovial blood flow; it is considered a promising therapy for osteoarthritis-associated knee pain.
