Today in Russia, the main trends in the development of the energy sector are digitalization, decarbonization, and energy saving. Lighting is one of the priority areas for energy saving and energy efficiency, so the development of an intelligent lighting system at a university facility has been identified as a pilot digitalization project under the university's Smart Campus program. The main idea of ​​the project for the introduction of a "smart" lighting system is to reduce energy consumption by replacing fluorescent lighting with LEDs and the introduction of intelligent lighting control. As part of the work performed, an audit of the existing lighting system was carried out, a lighting calculation was made, a new executive lighting plan for selected objects was developed, a model of an intelligent lighting system was presented, its components were determined, and equipment was calculated for the smart lighting project. The authors analyzed the regional opportunities for using renewable energy sources in the Arctic zone in order to use them for the implementation of the project of an intelligent lighting system. Wind energy has been identified as a priority source. An additional effect of the project implementation will be: obtaining the first results of energy saving; obtaining new scientific data on the use of wind energy in the Arkhangelsk region, developing the foundations of a single platform for collecting and processing university information data; subsequent implementation at other university facilities.

Introduction. Serological diagnosis of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) is an additional tool not only for differential diagnosis, but also for individual prediction of the clinical course and long-term outcomes of Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC).The objective was to assess the occurrence and capabilities of determining antibodies to Saccharomyces cerevisiae (ASCA) and antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) in predicting the clinical outcomes of IBD.Methods and materials. The study included 71 patients with CD, 26 with UC, and 21 with and 21 with IBD unclassified (IBDU). The comparison group consisted of 35 patients with other gastrointestinal diseases (irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D), celiac disease, autoimmune gastritis (AIG)); the control group consisted of 24 apparently healthy individuals. The level of antibodies to ASCA IgA and IgG was measured by the ELISA method (ORGENTEC Diagnostika GmbH, Germany), ANCA IgG was determined by the IIF method of the Granulocyte Mosaic test system (EUROIMMUN AG, Germany).Results. The occurrence of ASCA IgA and IgG in patients with CD was 25 % and 38 %, which is significantly higher compared to patients with UC (0 % and 3.8 %), IBDU (5 % and 5 %), AIG (0 % and 5.3 %) respectively (p

Abstract A major challenge in per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) remediation has been their structural and chemical diversity, ranging from ultra-short to long-chain compounds, which amplifies the operational complexity of water treatment and purification. Here, we present an electrochemical strategy to remove PFAS from ultra-short to long-chain PFAS within a single process. A redox-polymer electrodialysis (redox-polymer ED) system leverages a water-soluble redox polymer with inexpensive nanofiltration membranes, facilitating the treatment of varied chain lengths of PFAS without membrane fouling. Our approach combines both ion migration by electrodialysis (for PFAS with chain lengths ≤C4) and electrosorption strategies (for PFAS with chain lengths ≥C6) to eliminate approximately 90% of ultra-short-, short-chain, and long-chain PFAS. At the same time, we achieve continuous desalination of the source water down to potable water level. The redox-polymer ED exhibits remarkable PFAS removal in real source water scenarios, including from matrices with 10,000 times higher salt concentrations, as well as secondary effluents from wastewaters. Additionally, the removed PFAS is mineralized with a defluorination performance between 76-100% by electrochemical oxidation, highlighting the viability of integrating the separation step with a reactive degradation process.

The article studies the process of jealousy transformation in romantic relationships under the influence of digitalization. The author considers such definitions as “digital jealousy”, “digital infidelity”, and “virtual sex”, formulates a definition of digital jealousy, and considers emotional and behavioral reactions when experiencing jealousy under the influence of events and factors of the digital environment. Based on the content analysis results, behavioral markers that can be considered by a partner as evidence of digital infidelity and/or cause digital jealousy have been identified. The specific characteristics of digital jealousy include its existence in conditions of quasi-reality, diffusiveness, deployment in time and space, alienation from the fact of physical infidelity, and virtual representation. The author notes the connection between the intensity of the digital jealousy experience and the subjective significance of virtual space and representation in it. Ambivalence of the digital jealousy experience is expressed by the perception of its occurrence, on the one hand, as a predictor of physical infidelity, and, on the other hand, as a manifestation of crisis in romantic relationships and emotional estrangement of partners. It has been revealed that jealousy in digital space is largely due to a sense of ownership in relation to the time and attention of a partner and is associated with general transformation of romantic relationships in modern society.

Background. The problem of antiepileptic therapy in children remains highly relevant due to the insufficient efficacy of standard drugs, adverse events, and limitations of clinical guidelines.Aim. To assess the efficacy, tolerability, and continuation of zonisamide (Zonegran) therapy in children with epilepsy.Materials and methods. This retrospective multicenter study was conducted in epileptology centers in various regions of the Russian Federation, including Moscow, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Tyumen, Krasnoyarsk, Voronezh, Ryazan). We included 340 patients under the age of 18 (202 boys and 138 girls) with various epileptic syndromes receiving zonisamide (mean age was 10.63 years). Zonisamide was administered to patients with the following epileptic syndromes: age-dependent self-limited focal epilepsy of childhood (n = 49; 14 %) structural focal epilepsy (n = 102; 30 %), focal epilepsy of childhood with structural brain changes and benign epileptiform discharges of childhood visualized at electroencephalography (n = 38; 11.2 %), idiopathic generalized epilepsy (n = 23; 6.7 %), developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (n = 44; 12.9 %) (including developmental and epileptic encephalopathies with spike-and-wave activation during sleep (n = 23; 6.7 %)), Lennox–Gastaut syndrome and infantile epileptic spasms syndrome (n = 32; 9.4 %), genetic epilepsy with generalized and focal seizures (n = 81; 23.8 %). The type of the seizures was distributed as follows: focal motor (n = 205), bilateral tonic-clonic (n = 192), generalized (n = 197), including generalized convulsive (n = 44), tonic (n = 70), atonic (n = 2), myoclonic (n = 26), epileptic spasms (n = 36), absence seizures (n = 19). One patient could have more than one type of seizures. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated some changes in 185 patients, whereas 117 patients had no magnetic resonance imaging changes. Thirty-eight patients did not undergo magnetic resonance imaging as they had no indications to it. The most common structural epileptogenic changes were the consequences of perinatal lesions manifesting as cystic-gliotic transformation, atrophy (125 cases in total); less common changes included focal cortical dysplasia, developmental abnormalities (such as polymicrogyria, lissencephaly, holoprosencephaly), mesial temporal sclerosis, and tumors. Zonegran (zonisamide) as an additional therapy was administered at a dose of 3–8 mg/kg/day (mean dose 5 mg/kg/day) to 321 patients.Results. Zonegran (zonisamide) therapy was effective in 257 (75.6 %) of patients; remission was achieved in 174 patients (67.7 %), while reduced seizure frequency (50 % and greater) was registered in 83 patients (32.3 %). A total of 72 patients (21.2 %) reported no adverse events. Twenty participants (5.8 %) had some adverse events; in 4 cases, they were resolved after dosage decrease; in 16 cases, treatment with zonisamide was discontinued.Conclusion. Zonegran (zonisamide) is effective for comprehensive treatment of both focal and generalized epilepsy in children*.

Aim: to evaluate the characteristics of Crohn's disea depending on the age of the disease onset in patients observed in a specialized City Center for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Diagnosis and Treatment.Materials and methods. We observed 180 patients with an established diagnosis of Crohn's disease for 52 weeks, followed by a retrospective assessment. Patients were divided into three groups depending on the age of the onset of the disease according to the Paris classification (A1, A2, A3). The visits included: the collection of complaints, medical history, objective examination, clinical blood testing; biochemical blood testing (C-reactive protein); fecal calprotectin; ileocolonoscopy. Statistical processing of the obtained data was carried out using Excel, RStudio and the R language; for categorical data, the Pearson chi-square test or Fisher's exact test was used (for 2 × 2 tables with small samples). For categorical and quantitative, the Mann – Whitney t-test was used. Student's t-test was used to test the equality of means.Results. The gender distribution and the average duration of the disease were comparable in all groups. At the time of diagnosis, ileocolitis (p = 0.01), inflammatory form of Crohn's disease (p < 0.05), and the upper gastrointestinal tract involvement (p < 0.05) were more frequently detected in group A1. Isolated colonic Crohn’s disease predominated in group A3 (p < 0.001). No significant difference between the groups in the incidence of extraintestinal manifestations of the disease was found (p = 0.32). In group A1, there was a positive correlation between smoking and lack of response to therapy. In group A2, endoscopic remission was observed less frequently among smokers at the end of the study (p < 0.05). Anal fissures were noted as the most common perianal disease in all groups. In group A1, there was a positive correlation between clinical, laboratory and endoscopic remission and the absence of perianal disease. At the end of the follow-up, the worsening of endoscopic SES-CD level was observed more frequently in the patients with the onset before 30 years old in group A2 (p = 0.01).Conclusions. Not only pediatric onset, but also the onset of Crohn's disease before the age of 40 is a risk factor for the progression of the disease and its more severe course.

A radioecological model, which is a system of linear differential equations describing the dynamics of the transport of 137Cs and 131I radionuclides along the food chain after their release into the atmosphere after the Chernobyl accident, was used to reconstruct “instrumental” data of the 131I activities in the grass pastures in the central part of Mazovia. Four atmospheric models were used for the reconstruction: direct calculation, homogeneous cloud – inhomogeneous rainfall, inhomogeneous cloud – homogeneous rainfall, and a model with recalculation of the 137Cs and 131I activities in the atmosphere. The “instrumental” data were reconstructed based on data from direct measurements of the 131I activity in lawn grass. It has been shown that the direct calculation and homogeneous cloud models lead to a better agreement of the calculated and reconstructed “instrumental” data than the inhomogeneous cloud model. The arithmetic mean ratio of the calculated and reconstructed “instrumental” data lie in a range of 0.84 to 0.95 for the direct calculation and homogeneous cloud models, and in a range of 1.7 to 3.0 for the inhomogeneous cloud model. The mean geometric deviation for all models is constant and equal to 1.7. Instrumental and reconstructed “instrumental” data show a significant decrease in the specific activity of 131I in grass due to its wash-off by continuous rainfall, both during rainfall and after most of the deposition takes place. Due to this effect, the coefficient of the 131I retention on grass in the form of the maximum activity ratio to the 137Cs deposition density decreases from 34 to 1.4 m2/kg while it increases from 1 to 29 kBq/m2 as the result of the rainfall growth from 0 to 40 mm.

In this article we define the role of innovation in the economy of knowledge and in providing social and economic wellbeing to the population. The innovation resistance is defined as a complex phenomenon and as a result of agent-object relationships. Then the article is focused on consumer innovation resistance as a main obstacle to development of knowledge-based economy. Two types of consumer innovation resistance are revealed. The source of active consumer innovation resistance is the result of non-compliance of consumer expectations and characteristics of a new product. Passive consumer innovation resistance comes from the lack of desire to change stable behavior patterns and from unwillingness to learn. Also we classify the deterministic factors of consumer innovation resistance as exogenous indirect and direct factors and as endogenous factors, what can help to work out a general approach to overcoming the innovation resistance. Innovations can be considered as habits and routines to changes, which can be developed and distributed both to the young population and to the elderly. Some insights in this direction are offered.

Property is a fundamental element of economic power, it is a basis required to fulfill the state functions and tasks, to provide society with vital benefits such as health care, education, high living standard, life quality and well-being of citizens. A major part of production of public goods is carried out by the public sector of the country. Stateowned corporations in Russia are relatively new business structures. They have a market leading position to deal with global economic and social problems of the state.

This article presents the results of the analysis of the first two Charters of Saint Petersburg Mining University. A short period of educational activity of the first t in Russia is represented: from the date of the decree founding the Mining School in 1773 and the first Charter approved by Catherine II to the beginning of the XIX century, namely, 1804, the year of the second Charter. These documents are considered in their cultural and historical context, and the continuity in the implementation of education and training of mining engineers is revealed. Authors compare the Charter of the Mining School (1774) with the Charter of the Land Gentry Cadet Corps (1766), as well as the Charter of the Mining Cadet Corps (1804) with the Charter of Moscow University (1804). The Charters of the last third of the XVIII -- early XIX centuries contain objective information about the formation of the higher education system in Russia. The origins of two branches of higher education in Russia, classical University and higher technical educational institution, are indicated. Within the framework of the examined texts, a range of topics and issues discussed in the Charter as in organizational and legal document is highlighted. Universal character of the Charter as a document of its time, including a description of various aspects of activities of the educational institution, is noted. Analysis of the texts showed that Charters of the Mining School and the Mining Cadet Corps determined the life order of a closed educational institution. At the heart of its work was the task of educating a new person for a state service. All this allows us to consider the Charter as a historical and cultural document of a certain period.

Aging impairs the integrated immunometabolic responses, which have evolved to maintain core body temperature in homeotherms to survive cold stress, infections, and dietary restriction. Adipose tissue inflammation regulates the thermogenic stress response, but how adipose tissue-resident cells instigate thermogenic failure in the aged are unknown. Here, we define alterations in the adipose-resident immune system and identify that type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) are lost in aging. Restoration of ILC2 numbers in aged mice to levels seen in adults through IL-33 supplementation failed to rescue old mice from metabolic impairment and increased cold-induced lethality. Transcriptomic analyses revealed intrinsic defects in aged ILC2, and adoptive transfer of adult ILC2s are sufficient to protect old mice against cold. Thus, the functional defects in adipose ILC2s during aging drive thermogenic failure.

Purpose of the study. Assessment of safety and short‑term effectiveness of high and very high‑risk prostate cancer neoadjuvant chemo‑ hormonal treatment without distant metastases.Patients and methods. Combined hormone chemo‑ radiation treatment of 33 patients with prostate cancer of high and very high risk of progression without distant metastases was performed. Metastases to regional lymph nodes were found in 9 patients according to the examination data (MRI, MSCT), no metastases were detected in 24 patients. All patients underwent combined chemohormonal therapy in the amount of 4 courses of docetaxel intravenously at a dose of 75 mg/m2 every 3 weeks as the first stage of treatment. in combination with androgen deprivation therapy with agonists or antagonists of GnRH before performing radical radiation therapy (combined or remote). All patients underwent neoadjuvant hormone therapy: 16 patients – with the use of GnRH antagonists (Degarelix), 17 – with the use of GnRH agonists (Gozerelin/Leuprorelin/Triptorelin). The toxicity of the presented treatment regimen and its immediate effectiveness – the effect on the level of prostate‑s pecific antigen (PSA), prostate volume, and the quality of urination – were evaluated.Results. Treatment regimen was highly effective concerning PSA decrease (from initial median level 79,67 ng/ml to 1,45 ng/ml after neoadjuvant treatment), all subjects responded well, no non‑responders observed. Median prostate volume decreased from 44 cm3 to 25 cm3 after treatment, which guaranteed availability and safety of further radical radiation treatment. Urinary function was restored in all subject with initial urinary retention.Conclusion. Neoadjuvant chemo‑h ormonal treatment was highly effective in PSA level, prostate volume decrease and functional results improvement which secured further radical radiation treatment in one of its types. Toxicity was acceptable, adverse events did not exceed grade II in most cases and did not lead to treatment discontinuation in any cases, while quality of life remained high enough.

The most important component of the treatment effectiveness is the adherence of patients to the recommendations of the attending physician, which can affect the course and prognosis of the disease. The problem of adherence in cerebrovascular disease (CVD), depending on the clinical picture of the disease and comorbid diseases, is currently poorly studied.Objective: to assess the degree of adherence to treatment in patients with the main diagnosis of CVD and to determine the factors influencing it.Material and methods. 161 patients with cerebrovascular pathology aged 58–70 years (mean age 64 years) were examined. The assessment of somatic and neurological status, neuropsychological examination, assessment of adherence to therapy using standardized national questionnaires: the Russian Scale of Quantitative Assessment Adherence to Treatment (QAA-25) and the Domestic Therapy Adherence Questionnaire (DTAQ), laboratory studies were performed. The influence of cognitive impairments (CI), background and comorbidities, as well as drug therapy in the framework of the prevention of cardiovascular diseases were evaluated.Results. In patients with CVD, according to the results of the QAA-25 questionnaire, adherence to medical support was 33.4 [26.3; 57.5] %, drug therapy – 44.4 [29.7; 59.0] %, the lifestyle modifications – 31 [26; 55] %, overall adherence to treatment – 31 [26; 56] %. The proportion of patients with low adherence according to the DTAQ test reached 19.9%. In patients with a low adherence, the result on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test (MoCA) was 21 points, in patients with very high adherence – 26 points.
