This study investigates the combined effects of standard soil fertilization, composted animal manure, and foliar fertilization on tomato yield, soil nutrient content, and soil biological properties under greenhouse conditions. The experiment was conducted from March to October 2023 using a completely randomized block design with four replications. The treatments included: 1) Control (no fertilization), 2) Standard soil fertilization (30 kg N/da, 8 kg P2O5/da, 40 kg K2O/da), 3) Standard soil fertilization + composted animal manure (2 t/da), 4) Standard soil fertilization + foliar fertilization (1 kg 17-17-17/100 liters of water every 20 days), and 5) Standard soil fertilization + compost + foliar fertilization. Tomato seedlings (Solanum lycopersicum L. cv. Roma) were transplanted into pots filled with clay soil. Throughout the experiment, soil moisture content was maintained at field capacity. Plants were harvested on October 30, 2023, and data on fruit yield, soil nutrient content (NPK), and soil biological properties (microbial biomass C, CO2 production, and dehydrogenase enzyme activity) were recorded. The highest yield (4.5 kg/plant) was observed in the treatment combining standard soil fertilization, composted animal manure, and foliar fertilization, representing a 275% increase compared to the control (1.2 kg/plant). The standard soil fertilization treatment alone yielded 2.8 kg/plant (133.3% increase), while the combination with composted animal manure yielded 3.5 kg/plant (191.7% increase), and with foliar fertilization, 3.9 kg/plant (225% increase). Soil analyses showed significant increases in available nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the combined treatments. The highest biological properties were also recorded in the combined treatment.

Background: Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is a common complication of pregnancy globally, characterized by multiple miscarriages but with poorly explained etiologies. Insofar as a state of low-grade inflammation (LGI) accompanies RPL, this study explores the link between RPL and markers of LGI among Kazakhstani women. Methods: The retrospective study was conducted on 112 Kazakh women, comprising 64 with a confirmed diagnosis of RPL and 48 women with two or more uncomplicated pregnancies serving as controls. Statistical analysis was performed on SPSS 29 software. Results: All tested blood analytes, including CRP, glucose, cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, Hemoglobin, and RBC counts, were negatively associated with RPL. The only exception was neutrophil values having a positive association with RPL despite a lack of significant correlation between groups. Conclusion: The study shows a marginal association between the LGI biomarkers considered and the overall risk factors of RPL in Kazakh women, which is in apparent contradiction with earlier studies. The absence of parallel studies in Central Asian countries hampers the analysis of study trends in related communities. Future case-control studies with more sample sizes are needed to explore the RPL biomarkers in depth.

This study examines the impact of sharding on the scalability and efficiency of blockchain systems, specifically in the development of a complex of intelligent information and communication systems for environmental monitoring of emissions into the environment for decision-making in the context of carbon neutrality. Utilizing the Ikarus Network infrastructure, sharding was implemented on masternodes as a key technology to optimize transaction processing. Sharding enables the blockchain to be divided into multiple parallel chains, significantly increasing throughput and reducing the load on individual nodes. The results demonstrate a 70% increase in transaction processing speed, allowing the system to handle up to 5000 transactions per second, compared to the previous 3000 transactions per second. Network throughput increased by 50%, ensuring more efficient load distribution and stable operation even with high data volumes. Statistical analysis using ANOVA confirmed significant improvements in transaction processing speed, confirmation time, and resource usage post-sharding implementation. The F-value for transaction processing speed was 4567 with a P-value of 0.0001, indicating substantial improvements. Visual data analysis further confirmed these results, showing noticeable performance enhancements in the blockchain system. Distribution charts and histograms of transaction processing speed and confirmation time revealed an increase in the average number of transactions per second and greater system stability post-sharding. Sharding not only increased throughput but also enhanced system security by decentralizing data among shards, complicating potential cyberattacks. The study aimed to determine how sharding can improve the scalability and efficiency of blockchain systems. These improvements position the Ikarus Network as a promising solution for scalable and secure blockchain-based applications, especially for tasks related to carbon emission monitoring and management. These findings can underpin further study and the development of more efficient blockchain technologies.

The article examines the state of environmental education in general and innovative technologies for the formation of environmental competence of high school students in the educational system of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The results of our own research on environmental education and the results obtained after the application of innovative technologies for the formation of environmental competence of high school students are presented: discussion of the results of the questionnaire before and after the elective course entitled "Ecology and sustainable development". The results of the survey showed that conducting an elective course using innovative technologies in environmental education is the most useful, convenient and necessary method of forming environmental competence of high school students of secondary schools. Based on the results of the survey, it was possible to determine which topic should be emphasized when drawing up the elective course program and on which topics innovative technologies such as the use of ICT, group design and research work, group work, promotions, as well as what knowledge, skills and abilities should be given when conducting a course on ecology. And the results of the questionnaire on the topic of "Rational nutrition" made it clear that the ignorance of students on the topic of proper nutrition that it is necessary to include this topic in the elective course program, and at the same time to focus on human health with frequent eating of quickly prepared food.

This study investigates the application of different ML methods for predicting pest outbreaks in Kazakhstan for grain crops. Comprehensive data spanning from 2005 to 2022, including pest population metrics, meteorological data, and geographical parameters, were employed to train the neural network for forecasting the population dynamics of Phyllotreta vittula pests in Kazakhstan. By evaluating various network configurations and hyperparameters, this research considers the application of MLP, MT-ANN, LSTM, transformer, and SVR. The transformer consistently demonstrates superior predictive accuracy in terms of MSE. Additionally, this work highlights the impact of several training hyperparameters such as epochs and batch size on predictive accuracy. Interestingly, the second season exhibits unique responses, stressing the effect of some features on model performance. By advancing our understanding of fine-tuning ANNs for accurate pest prediction in grain crops, this research contributes to the development of more precise and efficient pest control strategies. In addition, the consistent dominance of the transformer model makes it suitable for its implementation in practical applications. Finally, this work contributes to sustainable agricultural practices by promoting targeted interventions and potentially reducing reliance on chemical pesticides.

The article presents the results of a study on the basis of which a set of mathematical models was developed for ballistic analysis of a mission to send a small spacecraft to the satellite of Jupiter, Callisto and its landing on the surface of the satellite. In this mission, it is proposed to use a gravity assist maneuver around the Earth and an aerodynamic maneuver near Jupiter to reduce the cost of the working fluid of the spacecraft. The minimum required thrust of the engines and the duration of the soft landing maneuver of a spacecraft with a given mass on the satellite are estimated. The optimal launch date was found for the possibility of launching a spacecraft using a medium-lift Soyuz-2 launch vehicle. The simulation of the movement was carried out numerically, in the Mathcad mathematical package, all the dependence diagrams necessary for the analysis of the movement were constructed.

Abstract Application of surfactant-based foam flooding is an effective approach to reduce mobility and control early breakthrough. Despite the proper performance of surfactant-based foams in decreasing the channeling of the flooded gas and water, high pressure, high temperature, and high salinity of the reservoirs put some limitations on the foam flooding efficiency. Nanoparticles are used to improve the quality of the foams, enhance stability, and transcend the limitations. Although there are many benefits of using nanoparticles in foam flooding, their performance at surfactant critical micelle concentration (CMC) is not fully investigated and the optimum nanoparticle concentration is not specified. In this study, an experimental investigation using nanosilica with surfactants at CMC to improve the stability (half-life) and mobility reduction factor (MRF) has been conducted. Furthermore, data from the literature were collected and analyzed to evaluate the change in MRF and stability for a nanofluid-based foam at CMC. Both experimental results and literature data showed that application of nanofluid-based foam is a successful approach to develop a more stable foam with lower mobility. Nanoparticle (NP) concentration is the dominant parameter at different salinities and temperatures that affects foam flow through porous media. The range of 0.2–0.4 wt% is the optimum nanoparticle concentration to develop a strong foam with acceptable performance in controlling mobility.

Background. Postoperative analgesia in kidney transplant recipients is challenging due to potential nephrotoxicity of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and the reduced clearance of opioid metabolites during transient renal impairment. Opioid-sparing multimodal postoperative analgesia using regional analgesia methods could provide better pain control and early activation after kidney transplantation.Aim. To evaluate the clinical results of treatment using regional pain management methods in kidney transplant recipients.Material and methods. A single-center study was conducted at Republican Research Center of Emergency Medicine from 2020 to 2022. The study included 97 patients who underwent heterotopic kidney transplantation from a living related donor. Patients were divided into 3 groups. In group 1 (31 patients), general anesthesia was used. For postoperative analgesia opioid analgesics in combination with metamizole 1000 mg were used. In group 2 (33 recipient patients), a combination of general anesthesia and open transversus abdominis plane block was used. In group 3 (33 recipient patients), a combination of general anesthesia and erector spine plane block was performed. Opioid analgesics were used as a "rescue analgesia" when necessary. The primary study end points were the pain intensity assessed by a visual analogue scale and opioid consumption on the first day after surgery. Secondary endpoints were the time of intestinal motility recovery, the presence of nausea and vomiting, the Intensive Care Unit length of stay and the hospital length of stay.Results. Pain intensity 6 hours after surgery in patients of group 1 was 13.5% and 24.6% higher than in patients of group 2 and 3, respectively. The actual participants in criminal proceedings, deprived of their own legal status, are persons whose property rights are affected by criminal procedure decisions (on seizure of property, confiscation of property, recognition of property as material evidence). Purpose: to define intersectoral analogies of legal status for these persons; to find out the applicability as a model for borrowing the concept of a third party not declaring independent claims on the dispute subject – party to arbitration and civil proceedings. The determining method of the research is the method of comparative law. In addition, general and special methods (analysis and synthesis, logical, special-legal) are applied. Results: the article reveals a high degree of similarity in criminal procedure relations, the actual participants of which are persons whose property becomes the subject of authoritative decisions, with relations in arbitration and civil proceedings involving third parties.

Abstract Actinobacteria are one of the predominant groups that successfully colonize and survive in various aquatic, terrestrial and rhizhospheric ecosystems. Among actinobacteria, Nocardia is one of the most important agricultural and industrial bacteria. Screening and isolation of Nocardia related bacteria from extreme habitats such as endolithic environments are beneficial for practical applications in agricultural and environmental biotechnology. In this work, bioinformatics analysis revealed that a novel strain Nocardia mangyaensis NH1 has the capacity to produce structurally varied bioactive compounds, which encoded by non-ribosomal peptide synthases (NRPS), polyketide synthase (PKS), and post-translationally modified peptides (RiPPs). Among NRPS, five gene clusters have a sequence homology with clusters encoding for siderophore synthesis. We also show that N. mangyaensis NH1 accumulates both catechol- and hydroxamate-type siderophores simultaneously under iron-deficient conditions. Untargeted LC–MS/MS analysis revealed a variety of metabolites, including siderophores, lipopeptides, cyclic peptides, and indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) in the culture medium of N. mangyaensis NH1 grown under iron deficiency. We demonstrate that four CAS (chrome azurol S)-positive fractions display variable affinity to metals, with a high Fe3+ chelating capability. Additionally, three of these fractions exhibit antioxidant activity. A combination of iron scavenging metabolites produced by N. mangyaensis NH1 showed antifungal activity against several plant pathogenic fungi. We have shown that the pure culture of N. mangyaensis NH1 and its metabolites have no adverse impact on Arabidopsis seedlings. The ability of N. mangyaensis NH1 to produce siderophores with antifungal, metal-chelating, and antioxidant properties, when supplemented with phytohormones, has the potential to improve the release of macro- and micronutrients, increase soil fertility, promote plant growth and development, and enable the production of biofertilizers across diverse soil systems.

Mechanization and urbanization are accompanied by an increase in the prevalence of burns. A burn causes both local damage and systemic inflammatory response that leads to inadequate oxygen delivery to vital organs and inadequate elimination of metabolites. Infusion therapy for burns aims to restore perfusion and prevent ischemia. The implementation of effective dynamic schemes of infusion therapy has led to a decrease in mortality, however, an excessive amount of injected fluid does not improve the patient’s volumetric status, instead increasing tissue swelling and causing a number of complications. Therefore, doctors are faced with the question of choosing the optimal infusion therapy, which will allow maintaining the patient’s status at the needed level called normovolemia. According to the results of the open, blinded evaluation of the randomized controlled trial RheoSTAT-СР0669, administration of Rheosorbilact to patients with burns by intravenous infusion at a dose of 200-400 ml/day for 3 days significantly improves the clinical condition, reduces the manifestations of (poly-) organ failure and endogenous intoxication. Small-volume infusion therapy with Rheosorbilact causes a statistically significant decrease in the breathing rate, a decrease in endogenous intoxication and the intensity of inflammation, as well as positive dynamics of the blood gas composition. Administration of the drug in this mode has a favorable safety profile: it does not lead to fluid overload, associated complications, or other serious undesirable side effects, and does not cause a clinically significant increase in blood lactate level. The RheoSTAT-СР0669 study substantiates the feasibility of using Rheosorbilact in the complex therapy of burns.

Little information is available on how rhizosphere bacteria affect abscisic acid (ABA) levels in plants and whether these bacterial effects are associated with improved plant water status. In this study, we tested the hypothesis that the stimulation of plant growth may be associated with the ability of ABA to increase the hydraulic conductivity of roots through the up-regulation of aquaporin. To do this, we studied the effect of bacteria capable of producing ABA on a barley mutant deficient in this hormone. Measurements of hydraulic conductivity of the ABA-deficient barley mutant Az34 showed that its tissues exhibited a reduced ability to conduct water, which correlated with lower ABA content in plants. The inoculation of Bacillus subtilis IB-22 stimulated the growth of both the mutant and its parent variety. Also, under the influence of bacteria, the ABA content in plants increased, and the increase was more significant in the mutant. This effect was accompanied by an increase in hydraulic conductivity in the roots of the ABA-deficient mutant, and immunolocalization using antibodies against PIP2;1 and PIP2;2 aquaporins revealed an increase in their abundance. Thus, the results obtained support the hypothesis about the importance of a sufficiently high ABA content in plants to maintain the abundance of aquaporins, hydraulic conductivity and the growth of barley plants.

The current work is devoted to the development of probiotic microencapsulation systems with the co-encapsulation of a plant extract, which can increase the survival of beneficial bacteria and are suitable for potential applications in the enrichment of fermented beverages based on acid whey. The encapsulation process exhibited a high level of effectiveness, achieving 83.0% for Bifidobacterium (BB), 89.2% for Stevia leaf extract (SE), and 91.3% for their combination (BB + SE). The FTIR analysis verified substantial interactions between the encapsulated agents and the polymer matrix, which enhanced the stability of the microcapsules. The BB + SE microcapsules exhibited reduced swelling and moisture content, indicating a denser structure compared to separately encapsulated BB and SE. Comparison of release kinetics of BB, SE and BB + SE loaded microcapsules showed that the combination of active agents has a quicker initial release, reaching 60% release within the first 2 h, and this value increased to 70% after 4 h. The release kinetics studies demonstrated a controlled release of active substances over 24 h. A morphology analysis shows that the surfaces of the dry microcapsules containing BB, SE, and their combination BB + SE have a porous structure. For encapsulated agents, the size of the capsules produced with BB and SE are smaller than those produced with two components (BB + SE), the sizes of which are between 760 µm and 1.1 mm. Modeling of the behavior of microcapsules in a simulated gastrointestinal tract provides information on swelling and active agents release rates as a function of pH in real biological environments. Thus, the new formulations of microcapsules with microorganisms and plant extracts have great potential for the development of fermented whey-based beverages.
