Quantum steering is commonly shared among multiple observers by utilizing unsharp measurements. However, their usage is limited to local measurements and is not suitable for nonlocal-measurement-based cases. Here, we present a novel approach in this study, suggesting a highly efficient technique to construct optimal nonlocal measurements by utilizing quantum ellipsoids to share quantum steering. This technique is suitable for any bipartite state and offers benefits even in scenarios with a high number of measurement settings. Using the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state as an illustration, we show that employing unsharp nonlocal product measurements can activate the phenomenon of steering sharing in contrast to using local measurements. Moreover, our findings demonstrate that nonlocal measurements with unequal strength possess a greater activation capability compared to those with equal strength. Our activation method differs from previous ones as it eliminates the need to copy the shared states or diminish other quantum correlations, thus making it convenient for practical experimentation and conservation of resources., Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures

High-precision surface roughness estimation plays an important role in many applications. However, the classical estimating methods are limited by shot noise and only can achieve the precision of 0.1 nm with white light interferometer. Here, we propose two weak measurement schemes to estimate surface roughness through spectrum analysis and intensity analysis. The estimating precision with spectrum analysis is about $10 ^{-5}$ nm by using a currently available spectrometer with the resolution of $\Delta \lambda= 0.04$ pm and the corresponding sensitivity is better than 0.1 THz/nm. And the precision and sensitivity of the light intensity analysis scheme achieve as high as 0.07 nm and 1/nm, respectively. By introducing a modulated phase, we show that the sensitivity and precision achieved in our schemes can be effectively retained in a wider dynamic range. We further provide the experimental design of the surface profiler based on our schemes. We numerically investigate the ground state, the Raman-driving dynamics and the nonlinear excitations of a realized spin-orbit-coupled Bose-Einstein condensate in a one-dimensional harmonic trap. Depending on the Raman coupling and the interatomic interactions, three ground-state phases are identified: stripe, plane wave and zero-momentum phases. A narrow parameter regime with coexistence of stripe and zero-momentum or plane wave phases in real space is found. Several sweep progresses across different phases by driving the Raman coupling linearly in time is simulated and the non-equilibrium dynamics of the system in these sweeps are studied. We find kinds of nonlinear excitations, with the particular dark solitons excited in the sweep from the stripe phase to the plane wave or zero-momentum phase within the trap. Moreover, the number and the stability of the dark solitons can be controlled in the driving, which provide a direct and easy way to generate dark solitons and study their dynamics and interaction properties., Comment: 10 pages, 9 figure

We discuss anomalous decoherence effects at zero and finite temperatures in driven coupled quantum spin systems. By numerical simulations of the quantum master equation, it is found that the entanglement of two coupled spin qubits exhibits a non-monotonic behaviour as a function of the noise strength. The effects of noise strength, the detuning and finite temperature of independent environments on the steady state entanglement are addressed in detail. Pumped by an external field drive, non-trivial steady states can be found, the steady state entanglement increases monotonically up to a maximum at certain optimal noise strength and decreases steadily for higher values. Furthermore, increasing the detuning can not only induce but also suppress steady state entanglement, which depends on the value of noise strength. At last, we delimit the border between presence or absence of steady state entanglement and discuss the related experimental temperatures where typical biomolecular systems exhibit long-lived coherences and quantum entanglement in photosynthetic light-harvesting complexes., Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures

We propose an experimental scheme to realize the valley-dependent gauge fields for ultracold fermionic atoms trapped in a state-dependent square optical lattice. Our scheme relies on two sets of Raman laser beams to engineer the hopping between adjacent sites populated by two-component fermionic atoms. One set of Raman beams are used to realize a staggered \pi-flux lattice, where low energy atoms near two inequivalent Dirac points should be described by the Dirac equation for spin-1/2 particles. Another set of laser beams with proper Rabi frequencies are added to further modulate the atomic hopping parameters. The hopping modulation will give rise to effective gauge potentials with opposite signs near the two valleys, mimicking the interesting strain-induced pseudo-gauge fields in graphene. We propose a scheme to simulate the 1D Majorana equation with two Cooper pair boxes coupled to a 1D superconducting transmission line resonator, where strong coupling limit can be achieved. With proper chosen of systematic parameters, we are able to engineer different kinds of interaction, which is indispensable in simulating the Majorana equation in an enlarged real Hilbert space. Measurement of the conserved observable of pseudo-helicity via transmission spectrum of the cavity field can verify the simulated Majorana wave function. We study ultracold bosonic atoms with the synthetic three-dimensional spin-orbit (SO) coupling in a cubic optical lattice. In the superfluidity phase, the lowest energy band exhibits one, two or four pairs of degenerate single-particle ground states depending on the SO-coupling strengths, which can give rise to the condensate states with spin-stripes for the weak atomic interactions. In the deep Mott-insulator regime, the effective spin Hamiltonian of the system combines three-dimensional Heisenberg exchange interactions, anisotropy interactions and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions. Based on Monte Carlo simulations, we numerically demonstrate that the resulting Hamiltonian with an additional Zeeman field has a rich phase diagram with spiral, stripe, vortex crystal, and especially Skyrmion crystal spin-textures in each xy-plane layer. The obtained Skyrmion crystals can be tunable with square and hexagonal symmetries in a columnar manner along the z axis, and moreover are stable against the inter-layer spin-spin interactions in a large parameter region., Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures; title modified, references and discussions added; accepted by PRA

We propose an experimental scheme to simulate the transverse field Ising model with cold atoms trapped in one-dimensional optical lattice. Majorana fermions are created at the ends of the optical lattice segment in topological phase. By controlling the addressing lasers, one can move, fuse and braid them. We also show that the non-Abelian braiding statistics of Majorana fermions can be demonstrated unambiguously through the construction of two braiding operations and distinguishing the resulting two output orthogonal collective spin states. A nice feature of the scheme is that the strong fluorescence provided by the collective spin state can be readily detected in experiment., Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures

We investigate the roles of different environmental models on quantum correlation dynamics of two-qubit composite system interacting with two independent environments. The most common environmental models (the single-Lorentzian model, the squared-Lorentzian model, the two-Lorentzian model and band-gap model) are analyzed. First, we note that for the weak coupling regime, the monotonous decay speed of the quantum correlation is mainly determined by the spectral density functions of these different environments. Then, by considering the strong coupling regime we find that, contrary to what is stated in the weak coupling regime, the dynamics of quantum correlation depends on the non-Markovianity of the environmental models, and is independent of the environmental spectrum density functions., Comment: 6 pages, 6 figures

Jordan-Wigner transformation and Bogolyubov transformation are the main steps of the diagonalization of Hamiltonian and paly an important role in the statistical mechanics calculations for one-dimensional Heisenberg spin chain model. Many methods can be exploited as a tool to detect quantum phase transition, regions of criticality and scaling behavior in the vicinity of a quantum phase transition, such as geometric phase, fidelity susceptibility, order parameter, and entanglement entropy, which have direct relation with Bogolyubov transformation. We diagonalized the Hamiltonian in XY spin-chain systems with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions, the results shows that only the energy spectrum but not the coefficients of the Bogolyubov transformation depends on DM interaction. Therefore, the DM interaction may not influence the critical magnetic field of quantum phase transitions and not induce new critical regions in the XY spin model. In this paper, we propose a scheme for the controlled teleportation of an arbitrary two-atom entangled state $|\phi>_{12}=a|gg>_{12}+b|ge>_{12}+c|eg>_{12}+d|ee>_{12}$ in driven cavity QED. An arbitrary two-atom entangled state can be teleported perfectly with the help of the cooperation of the third side by constructing a three-atom GHZ entangled state as the controlled channel. This scheme does not involve apparent (or direct) Bell-state measurement and is insensitive to the cavity decay and the thermal field. Taking the decoherence effect due to population relaxation into account, we investigate the entanglement properties for two qubits in the Heisenberg XY interaction and subject to an external magnetic field. It is found that the phenomenon of entanglement sudden death (ESD) as well as sudden birth(ESB) appear during the evolution process for particular initial states. The influence of the external magnetic field and the spin environment on ESD and ESB are addressed in detail. It is shown that the concurrence, a measure of entanglement, can be controlled by tuning the parameters of the spin chain, such as the anisotropic parameter, external magnetic field, and the coupling strength with their environment. In particular, we find that a critical anisotropy constant exists, above which ESB vanishes while ESD appears.
