The spread of digitalisation has led to the global penetration of digital finance in all sectors of the economy. The high relevance of the problem of digital finance necessitates deepening research in this area, in particular by carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the accumulated knowledge in it. The aim of the present research is to reveal the main trends and determinants of the evolution of scientific investigations in the field of digital finance by means of a bibliometric analysis of publications in the journals indexed by the Scopus scientometric database. This study was carried out in accordance with the traditional approach to bibliometric analysis and is aimed at the following objectives: determining the features of the scientific landscape in the field of digital finance by carrying out an evolutionary analysis of publication activity; identification of the main determinants for the development of research by mapping and clustering the existing array of publications using VOSviewer software. The time frame of the study was set as 2008 – 1st quarter of 2024. The results showed that the term «digital finance» is of an interdisciplinary nature. It is found that China is leading in the number of publications in this area, followed by the United States, Great Britain, and India by a notable margin. 8 clusters have been selected that characterise the key research areas. The results of the bibliometric analysis showed that the most significant development of research in the field of digital finance was in 2021-2023, with an emphasis on the development of fintech, banking services and cryptocurrencies. In 2023, it was found that the number of studies on the following issues increased: the Green Deal, COVID-19, ecosystem formation, and green energy. They are considered to be research areas that require further development in the near future.

Control techniques for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drives rely significantly on digital systems, and control system discretization is essential for stability and robustness. While continuous-time analyses are widely employed for stability analysis, generally, they fall short of describing phenomena such as the waterbed effect and understanding system dynamics, especially in servo-drive applications. Consequently, discrete-time systems play a crucial role. The use of discrete-time analysis in digital motion systems of control allows for a more accurate study of system stability while addressing the abovementioned difficulties. Despite the vital role of discrete-time analysis in maximizing stability, robustness, and performance in digital PMSM implementations, there is a significant research gap in the complete analysis and investigation of discrete-time control systems. This research focuses on improving digital disturbance observer (DOB)-based speed control via discrete-time analysis by investigating various discretization techniques. Analyzing widespread discrete-time approaches that rely on analog-to-digital time conversion demonstrates that some strategies outperform others. The paper indicates that constructing a digital DOB-based control utilizing the implicit Adams approach and applying it to PMSMs enhances performance by increasing control accuracy and significantly reducing undershoot when compared to popular discrete-time methods such as Euler’s, Tustin, Al-Alaoui, and others. The experimental results show that this chosen discrete-time approach has a significant impact on the efficiency of the PMSM control system. The outcomes of this research highlight the critical relevance of selecting an appropriate discrete-time conversion in improving the performance of a digital DOB motion control system with an application to PMSM drives.

The aim of surgical treatment of any cerebral aneurysm is to achieve its total exclusion from the bloodstream. Although the progress in the development and implementation of microsurgical and the latest endovascular technologies, in many cases, the treatment of complex cerebral aneurysms is not an easy task. Unsatisfactory results of the exclusion of complicated cerebral aneurysms are due to many factors, for instance: gigantic size, fusiform or dolichoectatic configuration of the cerebral aneurysm, the presence of atherosclerotic changes, anatomical features of the departure of functionally important arteries directly from the cerebral aneurysm. Such cerebral aneurysms are quite problematic both for microsurgical remodeling clipping and for endovascular exclusion. At the current stage, the introduction and use of the microanastomosis technique provides additional options and expands the possibilities of surgical treatment of complex cerebral aneurysms. Objective ‒ to analyze the possibilities and results of surgical treatment of complicated cerebral aneurysms using the technique of surgical revascularization (bypass surgery). Materials and methods. An analysis of the results of the examination and surgical treatment of 16 patients with complicated cerebral aneurysms for the period from 2016 to 2020, who were treated and operated on in the emergency vascular neurosurgery department with the X-ray operating department Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery of NAMS of Ukraine. All patients diagnosed with complicated cerebral aneurysms had gigantic sizes. All cases of surgical intervention included placement of extra-intracranial microanastomosis or intra-intracranial anastomosis, sometimes a combination of it, to ensure normal blood supply to the vessel of complicated cerebral aneurysm that were planned to be devascularized. In 14 observations, one-time anastomosis and exclusion of complicated cerebral aneurysms were performed. In 2 observations, the first stage was an anastomosis without exclusion of the complicated cerebral aneurysms due to insufficient vascularization of the distal arterial branch for deconstructive exclusion of aneurysm. Results. Satisfactory results of surgical treatment (grade 1 and 2 of Modified Rankin Scale (MRS)) in the general group of patients were observed in 13 (81 %) patients with complicated cerebral aneurysms. Unsatisfactory results of surgical treatment occurred in 3 (19 %) observations. Profound disability (MRS grade 5) as a result of surgical treatment was recorded in 1 (6 %) patient. Cases that ended fatally occurred in 2 (13 %) observations of the total group of patients. In the group of patients with surgical revascularization and excluded complicated cerebral aneurysms, satisfactory results were observed in 13 (92.9 %) patients. Fatal results of surgical treatment were recorded in 2 patients with a hemorrhagic course of complicated cerebral aneurysms, in which surgical revascularization was performed as first stage and scheduled removal of complicated cerebral aneurysms was planned. Conclusions. The introduction and use of the microanastomosis technique expands the possibilities of surgical treatment of complicated cerebral aneurysms. Revascularization surgical interventions are highly effective in the prevention of ischemic complications when complicated cerebral aneurysms are excluded. Recommendations (indications) for revascularization should be considered in impossibility and high risks of ischemic complications during remodeling clipping or endovascular exclusion of complicated cerebral aneurysms.

Traces of long-term artificial selection can be detected in genomes of domesticated birds via whole-genome screening using single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers. This study thus examined putative genomic regions under selection that are relevant to the development history, divergence and phylogeny among Japanese quails of various breeds and utility types. We sampled 99 birds from eight breeds (11% of the global gene pool) of egg (Japanese, English White, English Black, Tuxedo and Manchurian Golden), meat (Texas White and Pharaoh) and dual-purpose (Estonian) types. The genotyping-by-sequencing analysis was performed for the first time in domestic quails, providing 62,935 SNPs. Using principal component analysis, Neighbor-Net and Admixture algorithms, the studied breeds were characterized according to their genomic architecture, ancestry and direction of selective breeding. Japanese and Pharaoh breeds had the smallest number and length of homozygous segments indicating a lower selective pressure. Tuxedo and Texas White breeds showed the highest values of these indicators and genomic inbreeding suggesting a greater homozygosity. We revealed evidence for the integration of genomic and performance data, and our findings are applicable for elucidating the history of creation and genomic variability in quail breeds that, in turn, will be useful for future breeding improvement strategies.

Industry 4.0 envisages a comprehensive transformation of all industries by combining digital technologies and the Internet with traditional industries. It is important to emphasize that Industry 4.0 relies heavily on robotics. Robotization opens up new opportunities for an industrial enterprise, completely transforming the technologies and organization of its production process and business model. Many of today’s threats to the economic security of an industrial enterprise can be mitigated due to digitalization and flexible robotization of production and promotion of goods. But at the same time, processes related to the robotization of the economy create new threats to economic and social security. The consequences of their influence and the mechanisms of their leveling are the subject of research. The goal of the work is to study the impact of robotics on the economic security of an industrial enterprise. The following tasks are solved in the article: an overview of the areas of application and trends in the development of industrial robots; overview of the robotics market; analysis of risks and threats to the economic security of industrial enterprises arising as a result of robotization. The methods of system analysis, graphic generalization and classification are used. The results of the work include an analysis of the current state of robotics and the introduction of industrial robots in production, a brief analysis of the robotics market and a study of external challenges, uncertainties and risks arising from robotics: political-economic, technological, financial and environmental. Conclusions. The development of robotics is a priority direction for innovative industrialization not only in the long term, but also in the short term. Robotics can also become a locomotive for general economic growth, given that the most advanced developed countries are currently creating their own robotic enterprises and transferring production from developing countries to them. However, in the context of robotization, it should be taken into account that these processes, along with potential benefits for the industrial enterprise, can also create new threats to economic and social security.

Argali (Ovis ammon), the largest species among all wild sheep, is native to mountainous regions of Central and East Asia, spreading mainly throughout such countries as Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Russia and China. Intraspecific taxonomy of argali remains unclear, and currently, most researchers recognize up to nine subspecies. The aim of our work was to investigate the phylogenetic relationship between populations of O. ammon based on genome-wide SNP analysis. Five subspecies, Altai (O. a. ammon) (n = 6), Gobi (O. a. darwini) (n = 5), Pamir (O. a. polii) (n = 12), Tian Shan (O.a. karelini) (n = 15) and Kyzylkum (O. a. severtzovi) (n = 4), were genotyped using Illumina OvineHD BeadChip. In addition, complete mitogenome sequences from 30 of those samples were obtained. After quality control procedures, 65,158 SNPs were selected for the subsequent analyses. Neighbor-Net dendrogram and principal component analysis (PCA) revealed that the five subspecies could be grouped into four clusters. It was shown that a population from Altai formed a cluster with Gobi subspecies. The highest pairwise FST genetic distance was between O. a. ammon and O. a. severtzovi (0.421) and the lowest were between O. a. polii and O.a. karelini (0.083) and between O. a. ammon and O. a. darwini (0.040) subspecies. Genetic diversity was higher in Central Asian argali as compared to East Asian populations. O. a. severtzovi had an admixed origin and consisted of two genetic components—73.5 ± 0.2% of O. a. polli and 26.5 ± 0.2% of urial (O. vignei). TreeMix analysis revealed a migration event from urial to O. a. severtzovi argali. The analysis of complete mitogenomes supported the results based on whole-genome genotyping. Considering that all the mtDNA sequences of O. a severtzovi belonged to O. ammon and not to O. vignei, we concluded that gene flow in this group was associated with urial males. As this is only the first work on intraspecific taxonomy and genetic diversity of argali based on genome-wide SNP genotyping and the analysis of complete mitogenomes, we suggest that more genetic studies are needed to clarify the status of Gobi and Tian Shan argali.

The presented clinical observation of surgical treatment of cavernous malformation of the left dorsal part of pons using the intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) is of scientific and applied interest. IONM is a relatively new diagnostic and at the same time the least studied direction in the system of neurophysiological support in high-tech neurosurgical care in Ukraine. The clinical manifestations, the results of clinical and instrumental methods of examination, and the course of the operation are analyzed in detail. The ISIS IONM system (Inomed, Germany) was used for monitoring. This case demonstrates that the use of multimodal IONM allows you to identify in real time most of the structures of the central nervous system that are at risk of surgery and prevent their damage. This makes it possible to prevent the development of postoperative neurological deficits and reduce the risk of disability in patients. The factor that ensures the success of IONM is the constructive interaction of neurosurgeons, neurophysiologists, and anesthesiologist.

The article reveals the causes and circumstances of the Russian-Turkish transaction on S-400 anti-aircraft missile system as well as its influence on the current state and prospects of Turkey — the United States relations. The focus is on the expression of the growing conflict of interest and irreconcilability of the two states, on the controversial character of the discussion in the Turkish and the worldwide media about the Turkish-American cooperation in the context of the oncoming deployment of the Russian anti-aircraft air defense missile system in the Turkish territory. At the same time, this article discusses the influence of the C-400 factor on the nature of trade, economic and military relations between Turkey and the United States, including the American F-35 project, the rapprochement between Turkish and Russian positions in understanding and solving of fundamental problems of regional and global security, prospects of cooperation between Russia and Turkey and the unity and geopolitical role of NATO.

Conservation of local cattle genetic resources is an important strategy for achieving Russia’s food security. During last decades, in the Russian Federation, local livestock populations were either crossbred or replaced by highly productive imported breeds, which led to a loss of the major part of original breeds identities. The objective of our study was to identify genetic differences between the populations of Kholmogor and Black-and-white cattle with varying degrees of admixture with the Holstein breed. The aforementioned breeds were studied using their whole-genome single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotypes. The Kholmogor breed was subdivided into three groups: purebred (KHLM, n = 3), admixed with Holsteins (KHLM-HLST, n = 4) and representatives of old-type breed (KHLM-INTA, n = 15). Blackand-white was subdivided into four groups: purebred (BLWT, n = 9), with a low (BLWT-75, n = 8) and a high (BLWT-HLST, n = 10) level of admixture with Holstein, and represented by archival samples from the 1970s and 1980s (BLWT-OLD, n = 15). The Holsteins genetic profiles (HLST, n = 27) were taken as a comparison group. PLINK 1.07, Admixture 1.3, SplitsTree 4.14.6 and R package StAMPP were used to infer genetic relationship between the studied groups. After quality control, 29 688 SNPs were selected for analysis. Multidimensional scaling (MDS), Admixture analysis and a dendrogram constructed using the Neighbor-Net method, revealed the presence of three clusters belonging to the Kholmogor, Black-and-white and Holstein breeds. The first one included KHLM and KHLM-INTA, the second – BLWT and BLWT-OLD, and the third – HLST, KHLM-HLST and BLWT-HLST. The BLWT-75 samples were placed between HLST and BLWT. Thus, our results showed that currently the populations of native cattle breeds with valuable genotypes still exist. The populations with a high level of admixture with Holsteins could be considered neither as the Kholmogor nor as Blackand-white breeds, and would rather be referred as the Holstein breed of local breeding.

Sheep are a main livestock species of Kyrgyzstan, a Central Asian country with predominating mountain terrain. The current gene pool of local sheep resources has been forming under diverse climate conditions from the era of the trading caravans of the Great Silk Road, through the Soviet period of large-scale livestock improvements, which was followed by the deep crisis at the end of the 20th century, up to now. However, not much is known about the genetic background and variability of the local sheep populations. Therefore, our aims were to provide a characterization of the population structure and genetic relations within the Kyrgyz sheep breeds and to study their genetic connections with the global sheep breeds using SNP analysis. Samples of the Alai (n = 31), Gissar (n = 30), Kyrgyz coarse wool (n = 13), Aykol (n = 31), and Tien-Shan (n = 24) breeds were genotyped with the OvineSNP50 BeadChip or the Ovine Infinium HD BeadChip (Illumina Inc., USA). The measure of inbreeding based on runs of homozygosity showed a minimum value in the Aykol breed (FROH = 0.034), while the maximum was found in the Alai breed (FROH = 0.071). Short ROH segments (ROH ≤ 4 Mb) were predominant in all breeds. Long ROH segments (ROH > 16 Mb) were absent in the Gissar breed. The Gissar and Aykol breeds had the highest values of the effective population sizes estimated for five generations ago (Ne5 = 660 and 563), whereas the Alai and Kyrgyz coarse wool displayed lower values (Ne5 = 176 and 128, respectively). The synthetic origin of the Aykol breed was clearly evidenced by all analyses applied. Based on the network and admixture analyses of the Kyrgyz and global sheep breeds, the Tien-Shan and the Russian semi-fine wool breeds demonstrated a common ancestry that most likely is due to a contribution of the Lincoln breed. The Gissar, Aykol, and Kyrgyz coarse wool breeds showed a genetic background predominating in sheep populations from Iran and China whereas the Alai demonstrated the different ancestry type. The revealed admixture patterns probably resulted from the exchange and trade during the era of the Great Silk Road, which partly overlapped with historical and archeological findings.

The article is dedicated to studying the concept of sustainable development as a new paradigm of development of humanity. The genesis of the evolution of the views of scientists on the goals, essence, and problems of the introduction of this concept are considered. The interpretation of the concept of “sustainable development” by scientists and practitioners is analyzed, and the main approaches to understanding its essence are grouped. The basic principles of sustainable development are singled out. The main approaches to assessing sustainable development of socio-economic systems at different levels, their content, goals, and features of application are investigated. The views of scientists on the path to achieving sustainable development are considered, and the key discussion aspects in solving this problem are identified. It is shown that the concept of sustainable development has undergone a long evolution and continues to develop in accordance with new global challenges. Sustainable development is associated with the formation of a fundamentally new attitude towards man: on the one hand, as a subject of the ecological and economic system, on the other hand, as the main goal of its development. It is substantiated that the transition to sustainable development on a global scale is possible only with the obligatory condition of coherence of all objects and subjects of this process, which is systemic in nature and connects all levels of the socio-economic system (the global, national, regional, local one) and various spheres of its functioning (the economic, social, ecological one).

Goal of the study: to identify the predictors of continuous hospital stay in adult patients with acquired valvular disease, operated with hypothermic and normothermic cardiopulmonary bypass due definitive repair of the disease. Materials and methods: 140 patients who had surgical treatment of acquired valvular disease with the use of cardiopulmonary bypass were randomly divided into two similar groups where hypothermic and normothermic cardiopulmonary bypasses were used. Peri-operative concentration of NT-proBNP, clinical course of the post-operative period, hospital morbidly and mortality were assessed. Results. No confident difference was observed in the changes of NT-proBNP in the groups, what could provide the evidence of the similar effects of both hypothermic and normothermic cardiopulmonary bypasses on integrative functional rates of cardiovascular system. However it was noted that increase of NT-proBNP plasma concentration during first 24 hours after the surgery, as well as age, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), maximum degree of chronic cardiac failure (CCF), duration of artificial pulmonary ventilation (APV), episodes of atrial fibrillation (AF) in the post-operative period were the predictors of continuous hospital stay Conclusion. The degree of the increase in post-operative level of NT-proBNP does not depend on the perfusion temperature. NT-proBNP plasma concentration during first 24 hours after the surgery, age, COPD, maximum degree of CCF, duration of APV, episodes of AF in the post-operative period are independent predictors of continuous hospital stay.

The article describes the impact of the targeted therapy with colloid and crystalloid infusion solutions on renal function and fluid balance during the surgery and early post-surgery period in the patients who underwent aortocoronary bypass under cardio-pulmonary bypass. No differences have been found in the frequency of acute renal lesion as per AKI and the need in the substitution renal therapy. During one stage of the study the lower rates of urine neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin have been observed in the group of crystalloids. The lack of confident differences in the clinical course of the post-surgery period makes the use of the balanced crystalloid solution more preferable compared to colloid solutions.

Poaching is one of the major types of wildlife crime in Russia. Remnants of goats (presumably the wild endemic species, the Caucasian tur) were found in an area of the Caucasian mountains. The case study involves a suspected poacher whose vehicle was found to have two duffel bags containing pieces of a carcass, which he claimed was that of a goat from his flock. The aim of the forensic genetic analysis for this case was to (i) establish individual identity and (ii) perform species identification. DNA typing based on fourteen microsatellites revealed that STR-genotypes generated from pieces of evidence found at crime scene fully matched those obtained from the evidence seized from the suspect. The results of genome-wide SNP-genotyping, using Illumina Goat SNP50 BeadChip, provided evidence that the poached animal was a wild Caucasian tur (Capra caucasica). Thus, based on comprehensive molecular genetic analysis, evidence of poaching was obtained and sent to local authorities. To our knowledge, this case study is the first to attempt to use DNA chips in wildlife forensics of ungulates.

The purpose of this study is to assess changes in the rates of acid-base balance in adult cardiac surgery patients with acquired cardiac defects who were operated using hypo- and normothermic cardiopulmonary bypass. Materials and Methods: 140 patients who had surgical treatment of acquired cardiac defects with the use of cardiopulmonary bypass were randomly divided into two similar groups with the use of hypothermic and normothermic cardiopulmonary(31-32˚С and > 36˚С). The rates of acid-base balance were evaluated during peri-operation and post-surgery stages as well as morbidity and mortality during the hospital stage. Results. The patients who had surgery with the use of hypothermic cardiopulmonary bypass, had the level of РаO2 statistically lower one day after surgery compared to the patients who had surgery with normothermic cardiopulmonary bypass. When analyzing the post surgery period with the use of hypothermic cardiopulmonary bypass the duration of artificial pulmonary ventilation was significantly lower compared to the group who had normothermic cardiopulmonary bypass. However it made no impact on duration of stay in the wards for post-surgery follow-up, general duration of hospital stay, frequency of complications and hospital mortality. Conclusion. The results of study demonstrated no statistically significant differences in the rate of acid-base balance in patients who had surgery with normothermic and hypothermic cardiopulmonary bypass. Moreover the changes in acid-base balance in both groups during surgery and post-surgery periods did not go beyond the normal values which indicates the adequate protection of the host from surgery aggression factors.

Karachaev goat (Capra hircus) is a local breed from North-Caucasus region, Russia. Here we present complete mitochondrial genome of Karachaev goat from the republic of Karachaevo-Cherkessia, Russia. The length of the studied sequence was 16,624 bp in size. It was shown that the studied specimen belonged to haplogroup A.

Currently, the intraspecific taxonomy of snow sheep (Ovis nivicola) is controversial and needs to be specified using DNA molecular genetic markers. In our previous work using whole-genome single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis, we found that the population inhabiting Kharaulakh Ridge was genetically different from the other populations of Yakut subspecies to which it was usually referred. Here, our study was aimed at the clarification of taxonomic status of Kharaulakh snow sheep using mitochondrial cytochrome b gene. A total of 87 specimens from five different geographic locations of Yakut snow sheep as well as 20 specimens of other recognized subspecies were included in this study. We identified 19 haplotypes, two of which belonged to the population from Kharaulakh Ridge. Median-joining network and Bayesian tree analyses revealed that Kharaulakh population clustered separately from all the other Yakut snow sheep. The divergence time between Kharaulakh population and Yakut snow sheep was estimated as 0.48 ± 0.19 MYA. Thus, the study of the mtDNA cytb sequences confirmed the results of genome-wide SNP analysis. Taking into account the high degree of divergence of Kharaulakh snow sheep from other groups, identified by both nuclear and mitochondrial DNA markers, we propose to classify the Kharaulakh population as a separate subspecies.

The article is devoted to the consideration of theoretical issues and methodology for building an effective investment policy of an enterprise, taking into account that for enterprises operating in most fundamental sectors of the economy, including construction, oil and gas, transport, industrial production, etc., an important aspect that requires consideration in the development of investment policy is the impact on the environment. Environmental aspects impose restrictions on the choice of investment directions, applied methods and technical and economic indicators of projects and determine the potential competitive advantages of projects, including through the use of forms of state support. Environmental aspects of investment activity should be considered not only as basic constraints in the development of project solutions, but also as one of the factors of the enterprise’s competitiveness, which significantly affects its investment potential in the medium and long term. The authors also present a system of key principles for the formation of an enterprise’s investment policy taking into account environmental aspects and form a schematic diagram for the development of an enterprise’s investment policy taking into account environmental aspects. The use of the proposed methodological tools will help to increase the stability and efficiency of both the internal environment of the enterprise and its external environment, that is, the socio-economic system in which it operates.

In this study, we present the first complete mitochondrial genomes of two species of the genus Ovis – snow sheep (Ovis nivicola) and thinhorn sheep (Ovis dalli). The mitochondrial genomes have a total length of 16,471 and 16,464 bp, respectively, including 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 tRNA genes, 2 rRNA genes, and a non-coding region. Phylogenetic analyses using nucleotide sequences of the 13 PCGs indicated that O. nivicola and O. dalli clustered with another representative of the Pachyceros subgenus – O. canadensis, which was consistent with the previous morphological classification.

The article considers consequences of the membership of Ukraine in the World Trade Organisation (WTO) for the engineering industry when co-operating with the EU and CU (Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia) countries. It shows that, after Ukraine joined WTO, tariff rates for Ukrainian products reduced in general and liberalisation of access to the world market took place. Along with it, the internal market of Ukraine became more open for imported products. The article analyses the structure of export from Ukraine after joining WTO in the context of individual types of products. The article identifies changes that took place in the market of engineering products after Ukraine joined WTO. The article shows that by main indicators of economic security the engineering industry of Ukraine cannot be considered as stable and also that, after joining WTO, main indicators of economic security of the engineering industry of Ukraine have not improved. It analyses the structure of export and import of Ukrainian engineering products to EU, CU and other countries. It proves that the most topical for the Ukrainian engineering industry is the issue of realisation of the import-replacement potential and increase of competitiveness of domestic products. It considers the state and changes, which took place after Ukraine joined WTO, in car building. It identifies main problems of domestic car building. It analyses measures of the state programme of Ukraine on economic development.
