Taking into account that Rold\'an et al.'s ample spectrum contractions have managed to extend and unify more than ten distinct families of contractive mappings in the setting of metric spaces, in this manuscript we present a first study on how such concept can be implemented in the more general framework of fuzzy metric spaces in the sense of Kramosil and Mich\'alek. We introduce two distinct approaches to the concept of fuzzy ample spectrum contractions and we prove general results about existence and uniqueness of fixed points. The proposed notions enjoys the following advantages with respect to previous approaches: (1) they permit to develop fixed point theory in a very general fuzzy framework (for instance, the underlying fuzzy space is not necessarily complete); (2) the procedures that we employ are able to overcome the technical drawbacks raising in fuzzy metric spaces in the sense of Kramosil and Mich\'alek (that do not appear in fuzzy metric spaces in the sense of George and Veeramani); (3) we introduce a novel property about sequences that are not Cauchy in a fuzzy space in order to consider a more general context than non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces; (4) the contractivity condition associated to fuzzy ample spectrum contractions does not have to be expressed in separate variables; (5) such fuzzy contractions generalize some well-known families of fuzzy contractive operators such that the class of all Mihet's fuzzy $\psi$-contractions. As a consequence of these properties, this study gives a positive partial answer to a question posed by this author some years ago.

Kuhn-Tucker points play a fundamental role in the analysis and the numerical solution of monotone inclusion problems, providing in particular both primal and dual solutions. We propose a class of strongly convergent algorithms for constructing the best approximation to a reference point from the set of Kuhn-Tucker points of a general Hilbertian composite monotone inclusion problem. Applications to systems of coupled monotone inclusions are presented. Our framework does not impose additional assumptions on the operators present in the formulation, and it does not require knowledge of the norm of the linear operators involved in the compositions or the inversion of linear operators.

Spingarn's method of partial inverses has found many applications in nonlinear analysis and in optimization. We show that it can be employed to solve composite monotone inclusions in duality, thus opening a new range of applications for the partial inverse formalism. The versatility of the resulting primal-dual splitting algorithm is illustrated through applications to structured monotone inclusions and optimization.

We prove a generalized contraction principle with control function in complete partial metric spaces. The contractive type condition used allows the appearance of self distance terms. The obtained result generalizes some previously obtained results such as the very recent " D. Ili\'{c}, V. Pavlovi\'{c} and V. Rako\u{c}evi\'{c}, Some new extensions of Banach's contraction principle to partial metric spaces, Appl. Math. Lett. 24 (2011), 1326--1330". An example is given to illustrate the generalization and its properness. Our presented example does not verify the contractive type conditions of the main results proved recently by S. Romaguera in " Fixed point theorems for generalized contractions on partial metric spaces, Topology Appl. 159 (2012), 194-199" and by I. Altun, F. Sola and H. Simsek in "Generalized contractions on partial metric spaces, Topology and Its Applications 157 (18) (2010), 2778--2785". Therefore, our results have an advantage over the previously obtained.
