In this study we describe the Diversity and Distribution of Terrestrial Gastropod Fauna (Snails and Slugs) of Loralai Division, Balochistan Province, Pakistan, that how Diversity and Distribution of Terrestrial Gastropod Fauna (Snails and Slugs) are affected from change in climate or what is the present status. As native terrestrial snails and slugs are poorly studied and understood in Balochistan Province. The study was conducted during the period of March 2022 to March 2023 from the Loralai divisions. Specimens will be collected and preserved randomly from the soil, vegetation, gardens, humid and shaded places of each selected sites and will preserve in 70-80% ethyl alcohol in specimen bottles. A total 592 individuals of snails and slugs (Gastropods) “were sampled and examined. The gastropods were dominant in all” areas of the Loralai divisions. A total of five species were recorded from eight sampling sites during the study period which are B. similaris, M. sequax, Z. insularis, A. gracile, Z. detrita. These taxa were represented by a class Gastropoda; two orders viz., Stylommatophora and Pulmonata; five families and five genera. Seasonally, the species richness showed its highest value during Summer, followed by Spring, then Autumn, whereas the least catch was recorded in Winter in all studied sites. “The high value of soil pH was reported by in September to which present finding showed dissimilarity. Soil organic carbon and soil organic matter ranged (0.94 - 1.88) % and (1.70 - 3.24) % with maximum content of Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) and Soil Organic Matter (SOM) in site-5 and minimum in site-8”. It was Concluded that among the ten sites, Given the number and diversity of gastropods, it is clear from this study that there is an important suggestion between the distribution of gastropods and sediment quality.

Ticks are ectoparasites (Hematophagous) of wild and domestic animals. These are hazardous especially livestock industry all around the world, most of ticks species have been caused huge economic losses to domestic animals as well as livestock industry. The current study was conducted to check the prevalence and taxonomic identification of species of tick in Tehsil Sinjawi. In 2020 to 2021 species such as Rhipicephalus and Hyalomma belonging to two genera were collected and identified. During current study results, the most Dominance specie Rhipicephalus sanguineus (n=180) was found in sheep while female sheep (n=74) were highly infested as compare to male sheep (n=47). Proper control measures are needed for tick infestation and prevalence in study area.

In this study we describe the seasonal effect of mountainous streams on crab’s population that how crab population are affected from change in climate. Seasonal variations can have a significant impact on crab populations. Factors such as temperature, water levels, and food availability can all play a role in determining the size and health of a crab population. A survey was carried out in the Balochistan province's Kachhi (Bolan) district between May 2019 and February 2020. Fresh water crab’s observations will be taken at the same site during (2019–2020) at the same time from around 12 AM to 02 PM on a monthly basis. One station is setup for sample collection for a period of one year, and once a week samples are collected. YSI 556 multi-probe sensors were used to measure the surface water quality parameters in-situ, such as pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), temperature (°C), and salinity (%) (mg -1). Station S1 is the deepest station, with an average depth of 0.48 0.31 m. Despite this, Station S2 is the shallowest, with an estimated mean depth of 0.33 0.11 m. The study region includes the District Kachhi (Bolan) in Balochistan's mountains. Gecarcinucidae and Potamidae families dominated the stream that was sampled. The total number of specimens obtained includes two species from the family Gecarcinucidae and three species from the family Potamidae. There were 142 freshwater crabs total, with Maydelliatelphusa lugubris accounting for 64% of the total (n=91).

Anemia is associated with poor health outcomes, and the prevalence of anemia is a significant public health indicator for both developed and developing countries. Iron-deficiency anemia (IDA) is the most common type of anemia, which often develops during pregnancy. A cross-sectional study was conducted in the urban areas of Quetta city among the women of reproductive age (15-49 years) to update the status of IDA in the region. The study participants ( n = 216 ) were selected on a random basis, and the samples were further distributed by age. Overall, 75% of females were nonanemic, and among those that were anemic, 2% were severe, 13% were moderately, and 10% were mildly anemic. Among the IDA-affected women, 83% were non-pregnant. Age-wise distribution of IDA revealed no significant difference among different age groups, but numerically higher observations were recorded in the age groups of less than 30 years. The highest number of moderately IDA-affected women (15%) were in the age group 15-19 with the following IDA indicating parameters: hemoglobin 9.64 g/dl, mean corpuscular volume 63.11 fl, mean corpuscular hemoglobin 20.40%, red cell distribution 19.28%. This study will be beneficial for illustrating the requirement and the development of a program to raise extended awareness in the Quetta communities to overcome the negative health effects of IDA on the female population.
